So id be inclined to move on back to the mansion if thats ok? Up to you whether to inflict the fatigue and whether its actually worth an HP for the complication!

Carmen waved away Hobson, wondering at his bedside manner. "I'm fine, honestly" she smiled at him. Truth was, Tazel was pretty good at burning away any diseases and when he was bubbling inside her veins, she healed well. "I just need to catch my breath. It nasty weather out there, Captain. I'm no sailor, but hailstones seems mighty unnatural this time of year. If we go out, you better wrap up warm and eat well. Its a haul back to the mansion" she explained. "And I don't really want to stay here longer than we have to, in case something even more natural comes a-knockin'"

So the two cops are just regular cops as far as you can tell. Although La Rosa has tendrils and bribes! They are speaking portgeuese but basically saying "What the hell happened here?" nothing to intimidating. If you want to influence them anyway, its fairly straightforward DC10 Diplomacy Check (or rather, DC 5 but -5 for not speaking Porteguese!) If you want to make things more complicated with bribes or streetsmarts, then go ahead (may need Streetwise and/or Sense Motive Rolls to acertain they could be bribed). EDIT: You are all together! The police may or may not be a hook to next stage, depending on what you guys do, but its not meant to be anything more than a bit of irritating red tape to play off if you wish!

GM Outside the La Rosa Club... Of course, someone had phoned for an ambulance. But this was carnival night. The streets were jammed. Floats were on the roads, and whilst there were EMT's on bikes and at various stations, treating wave after wave of sunburn and heatstroke, this kind of injury needed the real deal. And progress, even with the best will in the world, was slow. It was hampered by the crowds pressing in on the injured man, and a few do-gooders professing knowledge of first aid, before realising exactly the nature of the injury, and promptly winning the Olympic gold in the 100m back-pedalling competition. Just as Megan arrived, two wiry policemen, looking pretty hot and bothered had arrived at the scene and started blabbering in Porteguese to Erick and Tyrone...

GM Robert looked slightly uncomfortable, lowering his eyes from Hronos as Megan spoke. He had a horrible desire to blurt out Collapse's real identity...but if Megan was choosing to keep that little gem to herself, then he would follow her lead. It still made him dreadfully uncomfortable. He hadn't really thought about the implications for him and Megan of the future child they might - or might not - have. And he didn't like to think about it. "Sheesh" whistled Steed. "This thing is like, what, a nuclear time bomb?" she said. "I mean...it doesn't sound good does it? we have to find these things and...well...I guess destroy them?" she asked. "Do we know where the last piece is?" she asked Hronos. "Or, rather, do you?"

Boosting before combat, and then: 1d20+7=23 for initiative!

"That suits me fine!" replied the Mess. Sure, I ain't the smartest fella in the block, but I can smell a guy whose blood is up. This guy wants it. Crusader's face was cold, and not just the coldness of a fighter's focus. The man was angry. The Mess knew what anger could do to a man - good and bad. Give him that edge of strength and will in a fight, or make him clumsy and reckless. He hoped it was more the former than the latter. "Gimme a moment..." he muttered, once again forcing his super-powered blood to pump up through his body. His muscles and veins swelled to ridiculous balloon size, and he felt his full power come to him. "Its time for lefty and righty!" he yelled, smacking a fist into a palm and jumping into the fray.,..

"That really don't look good" proclaimed Pitch, observing the situation. "Who is this woman? What is going on?" she shouted to the Opera hall. The acoustics reverberated her voice well enough, she just hoped somebody would hear. Or, to be more precise, somebody who knew the answers would hear. She grasped her cane and walked to Mary, wondering what the chain was. Whatever it was, it wasn't likely to be good. She lifted her cane, ready to smite the thing. But paused. Wait. Need to know what the hell this is first... Snapping it might to more harm than good. Not snapping it might do just the same. The thing was, she was in the dark. "Go get that manager! See if anyone knows what the hell is going on!" she shouted at Riff.

APPROVED!

I'll jump in and say that communication is two way by default in our house rules, so you could have the one way limitation on that. Also I missed boost in an array. For obvious reasons having a boost in an array is wonky. You can boost then flip to an AP and retain all the benefits. Sorry for missing that.

This looks good, Elegy. A few suggestions: 1. You should add in the one eye ranged penalty to the attack modifier (I think its only +2 Ranged, now) 2. You probably should refine what "sealed" means. Deep underground with no tunnels? A different dimension? etc. Sealed means you cant get their by conventional means. Which, I guess, means you need some way of getting their which is unconventional! Your portal power would be the obvious mechanism. 3. Personally, I would spread out those exotic saves a bit to characterise him more. Higher Will, lower fort/reflex for instance. Whilst making them all equal is probably optimal for conflict, having relative strengths and weaknesses is more interesting for story, which is the cornerstone of threads. No need to do this, not every PC had juggled exotic saves, but most do - and usually our mages are (understandably) loaded towards Will saves. 4. The way you have written up Supersenses looks like Magical Detection - which personally I think is a more sensible way to do it than Magical Awareness (I find the distinction irritating myself!). Also you would have to specify which sense type it is: it looks like a mental sense from what you have written, but you should note this. 5. Supersense loss from blindfold is interesting (if its a mental sense!). However, it may be a bit much for a drawback. I cant recall one episode of being blindfolded in this site. I would be edging towards making this a complication - I struggle to think of many ways this would come up in actual play (although you can of course conjure up a large number of possible hypothetical scenario's).

"Knock yourself out" said Carmen, passing the rifles. "At least I didn't haul this lot here for nothing..." she sighed, still massaging her leg. "I got stung by some nasty piece of work. Nothing serious. I'll live..." she said. There was an irritating itch to her wound, but she was pretty sure she would heal in time. And, she needed a rest. "Look, I don't mind telling you, I'm beat. I could do with a cup of coffee and a bowl of warm soup, but I guess you didn't pack that with you when you ran here. I could do with a breather, though. We better make for hills and get back to the group there sooner or later, but its a long walk uphill, and that's going to hurt me..."

Pitch gave a frown. "You can't believe whatever lies whistle through your teeth...." she said cautiously. The hairs of the back of her neck prickled. She was as well equipped as anyone, perhaps more equipped, to deal with the infernal - but that was at least in part because she never trusted them, or by default, herself. She limped back a few steps, slowly and carefully, before pulling forth a spear of metal that she hurled into the demon. That floor looks in bad shape...she thought sorrowfully. The Opera House was creaking.

Using the chains as bait? Genius! Ill run with that if you guys want.

GM "It is a suitable name!" came the unearthly laugh of the Master Mage. "You can both act where the master mage cannot. Her...influence on Broken Crow has lead to her creating a wall that we cannot breach. It is...nauseating...for us to penetrate, even if we could. I do not know where her foul power comes from, but I suspect she is but a priestess, a channel, to some awful entity beyond our comprehension. At least, so is the speculation of the master mages!" "But you are not bound by her power. You can act - directly - whilst all I can do is impart our wisdom and knowledge of her" "Madame Malaise, as you call her, has gone by other names. The Swamp Queen, The Green Death. The Lady of Fever. And other less suitable ones. She lives in a dimension other than this, a mystical place of endless swamp and heat. But she has such a connection to the swamps and marshes. Her tentacles, eyes, and spies reach into our world, but only through the plants, earth and creatures of the swamp!" "She has her agents, too. The degenerate clan of a hundred races. Pirates, slaves, and vagabonds. As far as we know, the lady was a slave herself, in the seventeenth century or thereabouts. Somehow she obtained her dark power, and gathered other slaves and miscreants to her, gathering them into the swamps..." "Where she is know, I cannot scry. But this is a zoo, and her tendrils will be here. Ever she tries to infect the world, but her motivations are unclear - she is unpredictable, wild, and prone to acts of kindness as well as cruelty. She values all life, including diseases!"

GM By now, the gas was subsiding, dispersing slowly in the Hot afternoon air of Rio. Whilst that made it less virulent, it also meant more people were hit by it, coughing and crying from the fumes. At the centre, the Police Chief was lying, having vomited over his own uniform. As Veolicty ran towards him, she noticed he was not breathing. Not dead, but not breathing. In the fumes and the panic, nobody had really noticed - more concerned with grasping clean air into their lungs. Luiza was singing madly, a revolutionary song in Porteguese that Megan did not understand. Her fist pumped into the night in time with the tempo of her voice and she looked ecstatic.

Wrap up is good - I'll leave out Archie I think Madame Vapeur is your bag, Tiff. Nice character. Rather than nab her, Ill just say if you ever want to use her again (please do!) Ill have Steam onboard! Thanks for GMing!

The Morgue... It was dark, darker than starlight, and still into the night when Agnes and Roi arrived at the morgue. At this time of the morning - or night - the streets were all but empty, bar a few straggling drunks and other denizens of the night, Despite the rain that poured down without passion or relent, and seemed to stick to the clothes like napalm, the air was not cool, or hot, just a tepid tension. The Morgue itself was an old building, concrete and imposing, but with grandeur and architecture - a sight that had been used for countless movies, normally horror ones. There may not have been thunder or lightning, but one could imagine a flash overhead with ease. The front door was padlocked, and there was a light on inside, a bored security guard trying to stay awake with limited success, watching some late night horror movie on a beat up black and white TV he had brought along.

Ok lets get this show on the road! My thoughts: Crunch: Super Senses looks like Supersenses 3, for 3 PP (Limited counters Obscure would be about right for 1PP, as I think Water is unlikely to provide full obscurement, you could go for 4PP if you really wanted to go to town with mega-monsoons I guess!) Equipment - looks good. Ranks of above 5 may be called into question I guess, a controversial subject, when does equipment become devices? Also, dont flash grenades need the area extra? Alternate Form. I wonder if a Feat Improved Critical (Unarmed) may be neater than one rank of penetration on your unarmed? I think startle would be a cool feat for a batman if you have a PP left over from Supersenses! Accurate would need a designation of the attack (I guess its his utility belt, but if you could add that in...) Fluff: Complications are nice. Perhaps they are more descriptive of his personality than concrete things to riff PP off. Dunno! Maybe he has the urge to grab fish if they are put in front of him! History all looks great!

Tiff, in your hands here! I was vaguely planning on having Archibald, Steam's accountant to see if he could help with the financial transactions, but it depends what you had in mind! Love Vapeur!

"Phew!" whistled Carmen through pursed lips. Thats heavy, real heavy. Some of the dudes are about ready to croak anyway, but nobody should have that over their heads. ... Yeah, nobody should suffer for the deeds of the Father...she ended her thoughts bitterly, aware of a spasm of pain that ran down her leg like an electric shock, causing her to stiffen and inhale. A legacy of her Father and the tattoo that ran down her spine. She gripped the cane with love and hate, a reminder of the power of her father, and her need to walk with it. "That's a real dark story" she commented, seeing of Vince responded. "But how did they die? murdered? illness, disease? anything that can be stopped?" she asked. She knew of demons that could be summoned to enact such curses - bitter and spiteful. But really, it could be anything. Perhaps they just had a heart attack or a stroke, something subtle and innocuous.
