Ok hit a bit of a stall here. I have things to throw at you, but Im gonna pause to see if there is anything proactive you guys would like to do?

"You bet" replied Harry, simply, taking the piece of paper and making sure he committed the address to memory, just in case. "Carl, eh? well you can count me in. I'll get your boy to the next level, even if I have to bust him out of Jail myself. Gonna be making some real cash then, you can bet on us!" he said, confidently. He felt a pang of sorrow for his partner, but he was full of confidence. When it came to a straight brawl, he knew Freddy could outpound even heavy hitting supervillains. That was what the lump was good at. "I'll see you around, partner!" he said, not wishing to push his luck. With a quick informal salute, he gathered his coat around him and strolled off into the night. Now, he thought, he needed to check that his partners, including Lucy, had not, in fact, been busted. He stopped short, out of site from Hector, and almost bumped into the Mess' Homunculus. "Sheesh, what are you doing like that? Pleased to see you got out anyway. Errr...you did get out, right?" he asked, nervously puffing on cigar. "What, oh sure" replied the Mess, scratching his bloody head with his bloody hand. "I left my body down the tunnel back there. I was following you, wanted to make sure you ain't in in kinda trouble, you know. Speaking of which, I guess I best going and collect my body..." With that, the bloody mess oozed back the way he had come, speeding down the tunnel and back to his dessicated body. "Heh, well its nice to know you had my back" chuckled the Hound, to the night air.

Carmen was not surprised at 'Spots' reluctance to enter the building. "Well then, my little friend, I think its time for you to go home" she said, and tapped the beast with the Cantos cane on the nose. She was not harsh about it, the creature, it seemed to her, was just some dullard predator, a pawn. Still, she no longer wished to risk the bonds on it. "Away with you" she commanded, as the Cane's goats head sang a horrible latin verse in a hissing screeching voice, and the Creature bounded away. Carmen hoped it was back to the infernal planes it had come from. She turned back to Nikki in response to Tazel's words in her head. "Nikki, our mutual friend outside is playing merry havoc as I commanded, but he would like to inform you that your previous boss is here. And that doesn't sound like good news to me..." she said, her voice trailing warning and giving the eye to Axel and Rachel. "In fact, it sounds like all hell's gonna break loose..."

That is indeed a miss, I am afraid. Post away IC. Meanwhile, Crimson Tiger has hit the Engine Rooms. Pre-empting what you wish to do... I suggest: Reversing the engines would be a Knowledge (Technology) Check, DC 20. Stopping the engines would be a Knowledge (Technology) Check DC 10. Disabling the engines i.e. Sabotage would be a Craft (Mechanics), Disable Device, or Knowledge (Tech) Check DC 15 This is to do it in one round. Each point you miss by would mean 1 more round of tinkering or smashing. Alternatively, you may wish to grab a ship hand and force him/her to do something, which would be an intimidate roll. It would take 1 round to do this, DC 15 Intimidate check, and then 1 round for the ship hand to act. This is all pre-emptive, you may of course wish to do other stuff or have nifty ideas that may bring bonuses to the above rolls!

"An interesting Deception", answered Rene, stroking his goatee. "I daresay that this is why the painting has been...switched? altered? it matters not. It certainly was against my expectations, I have to say..." "Once again then, I play the pawn, my eyes widened only slightly. At least now I know that I am part of larger schemes rather than pretending that I am the centre of the universe around which other schemes revolve. Such is the compromise of age, and the wisdom of experience. Well, so be it. Let us see how this game plays. And hope that the right side wins, whoevere side that may be!" he said, drumming up his own enthusiasm. "But tell me, how do I know your request for deception is not a deception in itself? or do I take you on your faith? perhaps, in the end, I have little choice. For I am inclined to believe you and the evidence of ears and eyes would weigh in your favour..."

"We need to get him to the University physics department. Specifically, to their research reactor. It's not exactly high powered, but it can still feed him what he needs. And then, keep him there, stopping him from grinding us, or anyone else to dust, whilst I recalibrate the reactor to overload him, or harmonize with his particularly own readioactive emissions, that would hopefully change him back to Liebniz...." "Which will require quite a bit of work, I imagine. And will not be easy. I daresay you look like the kind of person who is particularly good at distracting people what with you *ahem* image, and everything. Well, todays the day you pull out all the stops, madam...." "Do you know where the physics department is and can you get him there?" he asked.

GM The captain merely bowed his head in defeat, his hair and beard matted with the rain that pounded around them. "The crew of the ship are merely hirelings, not worth the....argh!" screamed the Devil Ray. How anyone could have hit him in the dark, with the winds, was a mystery, but Blod has managed it against the odds. "You got me!" he wailed, as his servo motors roared and fired, sending him diving down, in a frenzied spin, to the seething ocean with a mighty splash that was heard even over the thunder and rain that whipped up around them. The ocean was alive with the storm. "I can't say I'll miss him. He was rather dense..." chortled the captain beneath his bowed head.

Tsunami notices that there is a massive current pulling the ship towards the Naval base of Freedom City, it is not just the engines of the ship that is propelling it. Blod hits, as she has Darkvision, no partial concealment. I should however have given some indication of range: Still, I'll let that fly for now and say it hits. 1d20+10=14 and his bruises catch up with him. Thats another bruise, and dazed. 1d20=2 he fails his concentration check so SPLASH, he is falls into the ocean. Tsunami is up. As the ship is moving, let us say it is now 1100 feet to the action. Of course, Devil Ray is now underwater, being pulled along by the current too, so she may wish to direct her attention there, or to the ship, or to the current itself, rather than boarding the ship itself.

"Agnus?" replied a befuddled Rene. "I have seem some strange apparitions in my time, but I confess you muster to a new height" he muttered, still not sure how to take the spirit. However, it did seem that the apparition was benign at least. "I take it then you are not some ghost, but projection from the future, my future, perhaps? Unless my, uhm, taste in romance has wandered, I take it you are not a daughter or grand-daughter. Although who am I to say what the future holds? I have nothing but the vague dream or premonition to guide me. More than most mortal men, I grant, but still a pale candle light in the vast darkness of the night!" "So if you do know the future, and can reveal it - what say you of this painting? why Constance? and what of Gallia? and the Sons that seek her?"

GM In the middle of the carnival... The rainbow clad dancer laughed at Megan. It was not a nasty laugh, or even one of contempt. It was more one of joy, and drunken joy at that, although Megan could smell no alcohol on her. "This old thing?" she asked, showing Megan Roberts Wallet and tossing it to Megan. "Darling, you shouldn't be in a man's pocket! take his money and run, flee, dance!" she giggled. "Tonight, on Carnival Night, we shall all be free! wild and free!" she laughed, throwing her head and her arms to the sky and twirling in a spin. "I have lived my life on the street, stealing, running, a sad life, but tonight, I feel wonderful! Can you not feel it, something in the air?" she sighed. "Ah, sister, dance the night away and spend all of your man's money! you deserve it!" she smiled through her mask. "I only take to give! and there is plenty more taking and giving to do tonight!" she proclaimed.

Constance??? Rene nearly shouted the name out loud. But his surprise was only compounded by the ghost that appeared before him. Rene could not help but leave his jaw dangling, and hard to exert will to clamp it back up to the rest of his face. "I have Madam, but my head is spinning so that I cannot begin to make sense of the madness around me! Spirits! Ghosts! I had thought man an ephemeral beast, but it seems pale to the mecurial nature of Gallia and her kind!" There seemed no obvious danger, but once again he felt out of his depth, a pawn in a celestial game. "So, whilst I compose my questions, I would seek enlightenment in the form of your tale, Madam. Perhaps, perhaps it is better i listen rather than speak, at least for now. For I fear my questions would reveal my foolishness rather than diminish it!"

Gallia Falling, part 2 - Rene-le-Chateau (OOC)

Cant fail the notice roll (+11 Bonus), and Craft Art is 1d20+11=27 -
1d20+10=14 You win! Post away, grabbing all the money! (if you so wish, of course - basically you can manipulate the games how you wish)
-
For Erik/Omen> Lets not play out every hand, but you have license to narrate how the card game goes! however, the killer card player is cheating! He is not an expert but he is good: 1d20+10=11 he fluffs it! oppose that with a notice roll to spot him. Of course, you need not call him out. You could cheat too!

GM La Rosa Club There were three men on the table Erick took. Two middle aged men, both portly, and a younger man, heavy set and with a scar down one side of his face. A victim of a knife fight, Erick would guess, although the man certainly didn't look like a victim. He was big, strong, and fast. And his two partners seemed to not really want to be there. They actually breather a sigh of relief when Erick sat down. "So Americano...we play Poker classic. Five cards..." he said with a sharks grin that exposed two golden teeth. "I take your money" he laughed, and took a swig of beer...before dealing out, rapid style, a hand for everybody. From the looks of it, the man had already all but cleaned out his two partners.

Harry shook Hectors hand and took a good sniff of him. Yeah I got ya scent, bozo... "Thanks for the help, partner. What the hell happened back there? Why the bust, and how the bust? You guys looked like you were running a tight ship, I tell ya. And I was aiming to make some real cash with my man back there...wherever he is. Man, I hope he didn't get busted. He had fists of gold, I tell ya..." Harry pulled out a cigar and lit it, taking in the night air and fumes at once. "Still, at least we got out with our skin's intact and without breaking out in cuff's, eh? say...if I can find my man, and he isn't in jail, is there going to be a round 2? I got the chops and the cash!" he said, keenly.

"Sounds like an interesting family" said Carmen, scribbling down some notes, and readjusting herself in her chair. Did I just flash a bit of chest? she asked herself, wondering if she was unconsciously flirting. She wasn't sure Vince was her type, but... "So what's next for you? Keeping with the band? collaborations? solo work? don't tell me you are hitting that mid life crisis and are going to spring some jazz fusion monster on us?" she said, trying to light the tone. She somehow felt that there was a light drizzle to the day's mood. "Where do you see you and your music going in the next five years? Have you still got that creative spark?" she asked, hoping a little light flattery would open him up.

Woman located, post away! In the course of the search feel free to note seeing Graft and Omen.

"Time to make our move!" hissed Pitch, creeping forward. The truth was, she was neither fast nor silent with her disability, but she just hoped Tazel was making enough of a racket to compensate for that. "Inside!" She gripped her cane and motioned for the Motley crew to enter the Church. She had a momentary pause to wonder if the hellhound she had under her spell would or could enter the ground. Only one way to find out... "Nikki, when we are in, we shall take your lead. We need to destroy, or seal up, whatever mischief you left here. If we can't do that, then we need to raze this place and whoever is after it....and I am very interested to know exactly who these people are..." What's happening out there, Tazel? Singing and Dancing and Bonfires? I have a feeling they are bringing out more than bullets and guns...

Rene approached the canvas carefully, and as silently as he could muster. He felt his fear rising. And guilt too - cursed fate it was that his own sketch of Gallia had lead to this... He dreaded beyond words uncovering the painting. He waited a moment, catching his breath and letting his eyes accumulate to the soft light. But he dare not tarry too long, no, not a moment longer, despite his fear. He put his hands up to the canvas. For the moment, he did not want to think about what he would do with his masterpiece. For now, he was driven to know what he had created. With an uncomfortable wrenching of his gut and heart, he drew breath and will and threw back the canvas in one furious motion.
-
"Madam" said Rene, slowly and carefully. "I see you are no stranger to creatures of fantasy and myth. Well, my friend and I are on the trail of another one, unfortunately more powerful and enigmatic than the vampire you were interested in. Her name is Gallia, a spirit, or will, if you like of France. And I don't mean the reflection of the more modern France of the last few centuries" he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows. "No, she is a more ferral thing. Born of Kings and Queens, Tyrants and Blood. Craving power, and draping herself in people who she binds with the chains of her power. Quite why she came to this land, I do not know. I would have thought there were plenty of despots in the world in which she might march. But, it is near the seat of her strength, as it were. " As he talked, he plucked out his paintbrush and, on a napkin, drew a quick but passable sketch of Gallia as they had last seen her. "This is what she looked like when we last crossed words. But she is an ephemeral spirit, and may bind herself to many mortal forms. Despite the difficulty of our task, we are driven to succeed..."

GM The Chainsaw fell to the floor, kicking up dirt and earth, and not stopping. The furious buzzing echoes round the small cave in a deafening roar. As the cultist fell to the floor, he was saved from a nasty accident with his weapon - the chainsaw was not off, but managed to propel itself across the floor of the cave to hit the opposite wall where it continued its feast of earth. Everyone stopped for one second, as if checking they still had the same number of toes. Detective Chance had entered, and drawn her odd looking antique gun. "Who the hell are these guys?" she yelled at Goodman, who stood there with his flashlight peering inquisitively into the darkness. The lead cultist tore of his hood. He was a red head, with a furious goatee and high cheekbones, thin but handsome. As he spoke his features changed slightly, with a lengthening of his canines and blackened, slitted eyes. "The Cult of the Beast!" he roared. "And we have found what we were looking for. It is ours! ours!" he snapped, before leaping at Revenant with a burst of speed and sending his teeth into her neck...

1d20+2=19 so Cultist 1 is out! Detective Chance will move into the crowded room, but not fire - as it is dark and cramped. The Cult Leader will change gaining the attributes of a wolf-thing, He will slash at Revenant 1d20+10=30 which is a critical! and a DC 25 Toughness Save for Revenant. Arcturus is up!

GM La Rosa Club Whilst smoky and dingy, the club Rosa was not as dingy as one might have expected. There was a dangerous looking man with a face that spoke a history of fights on the door, who gave Erik the once over when he entered, but not in an intimidating way. Inside, a group of men, mainly middle aged but varying from young to old, where playing cards on two tables, to the tune of drinks and music. A particularly tall barman with particularly black and long eyebrows gave Erik a raise of his facial specialities when he entered, and a brief phrase of Porteguese. "English? American?" he asked. "Come for a drink or a bit of fire with the cards?" he asked with a face made of stone and eyes watching the street outside to check nobody else was watching. "No worries in here, Senor. As long as you not with the police. We welcome lawyers though" he said, with a deadpan humour. "Anyone with a fat purse and money to lose is welcome to lose it at El Rosa!" he said, slamming down a cold beer in front of Erik without asking for money.
