  1. Up to you!
  2. Great idea! Any ideas? HOw would you like to proceed? Solo or with a chum PC?
  3. You can scrabble up a fair bit from the base; they would have survival gear and rations as its based in Alaska!
  4. Yeah you can rustle up those too
  5. Gamma Buzz Baltazar hopped from foot to foot. He had really hoped he could see some laser shuriken. I mean... laser shuriken... how cool would that be? The ringing phone was mildly irritating, but his irritation melted away as he saw Michael's face turn to stone. "What is it? What is it?" said Baz, antannea quivering. "Something serious? Someone died?" Some sixth sense shot his spine full of ice. Baltazar had a hunch something bad had happening. Or worse, was coming...
  6. You have some portable heaters!
  7. In case needed: Bluff roll of 35! to mimic a happy go lucky part goer full of drugs and booze. If Luther can stumble into one of them, and they have a key or keycard, then sleight of hand, skill mastery, for a 28 result!
  8. Lament Smashing through the glass doors was possible, but not to Luther's taste. Glass - real glass, not the fake ones used in magic shows and Hollywood movies - was tougher than it looked and sharp as hell. Besides, it would make a lot of noise and the guards would hear. What he needed was some keys. Or... well, those guards had uniforms, didn't they. Sure, that might work. He stumbled forward, feigning intoxication, towards the guards. "Mmmshhnahhh..." he mumbled. "Party time! Woohoo!" With a little more of a stumble, he collided with the guards. If they had any keys... Luther's dexterous hands would be lifting them!
  9. Gamma Buzz "Sure! I know everything about all of that stuff that I pretended to know about!" said Baz, mouth jabbering. Truth was, he did know a thing or two. About the only thing he could do well was name obscure movies and bands. By most standards, he was a smart kid, but this was Claremont. He was bottom of the class in most things. He certainly didn't have the brains of his chums, and was no genius or savant. "They sure are the classics. You know, for me, the best movies are the old ones, with silly stuff in, played straight. Modern ones look a bit to realistic to me..." He shrugged. "As for laser shuriken, maybe another day. When you get your fingers under your control, huh? Maybe practice card tricks or something?"
  10. Could you throw me a Craft (Electronics) roll to get heaters back up and running? DC 15
  11. Gamma Buzz Cockroach eyes widened at the exploding star. "Wow! That was a... an actual star, right? All hot and round and stuff? Probably fusion. Or something...." Although Baz hadn't felt any radiation on his antannae. "I mean a ninja star though, like what those ninja throw. Bruce Lee. Jackie Chan. That kind of stuff? I used to watch Kung Fu reruns with my sister back in Mexico." They didn't have much money. Or any money. But they liked playing Kung Fu. "It was so cool. Not enough Kung Fu in them, but still. Kept us going to till we could watch Bruce Lee. And all those Ninja films. You know, the shuriken? Can you throw a laser shuriken?"
  12. Continued in Synthetic Rehab
  13. Ideas here:
  14. OOC for This Resetting injuries and HP to base. This will start off Predator focussed (feel free to use radio contact with Terrifica) but feel free to chip in, E Pheonix. Happy to roll with whatever you have planned. Broadly aim to move to Eternal Phoenix's Headquarters (hence Hanover), but dont feel fixed on that. In principle I think you guys agree to do some rebel scum stuff (keeping Synth off the legal process and AEGIS, for fear that SHADOW will get their hands on her) but feel free to reverse or modify that decision. Or argue about it! This may be a purely social thread, but there is a moderate chance it may get more actiony depending on your actions. Its very open ended in direction, so feel at liberty to take bold actions without fear of derailment. Finally, Synth is largely going to be "d'oh" in this thread, as her brain recuperates, but again, we shall see what happens depending on your actions. In principle I am GMing this rather than playing Synth. (Although for my part this thread will hopefully allow Synth to get back to being a PC at the end of it!)
  15. GM Continued from Hot and Bothered It was still snowing outside the WEST base, Alaska. Dr North had rustled up some cold weather clothing from the base, but he was pale, clammy. Whatever had been done to him during storage had sapped him of his energy. He was only standing due to duty. And fear. How many Hypersynth weapons had been sold? Who to? What danger did they pose. He only knew the answer to the last question: A lot. Synth was similarly kitted out in cold weather clothing - recuperating physically at great speed, but clearly dazed. "Where am I? Who am I? Why am I?" it looked like mentally it would be some time before she recovered from storage. Predator now had some significant challenges. First, what to do with Synth. Wanted for crimes she certainly did, but was hardly guilty of - not least being broke out of prison. Synth was hardly a threat, that was clear from AEGIS files. At least, not directly. The problem was that SHADOW desperately wanted their experiment back to make use of her DNA. What did Synth want? A normal life? A life of heroics? Both? Secondly, an unnamed number of Hypersynth weapons were released to the world, or in transit to various nefarious organisations. Fortunately, Predator had the science mastermind Terrifica on her side. Unfortunately, Predator was in the middle of a snow storm far from civilisation with Dr North dead on his feet, and Synth dead in her skull.
  16. Hey @Jack - this may be a reasonable place to stop (in a few posts), with Sunshade still greedy for his favourite source of repressed rage (Jack!) in the future - and he has mysteries to delve into. Whats your feeling? I was vaguely thinking of wrapping this one and moving straight onto a repeat around Halloween when he makes his return?
  17. Cut down to 2 ranks of Gather Information - should add up now. Feats - actually was 18 PP as I forget to add in Equipment. Dropped Quick Draw, should add up now to 17 PP Super senses annotation sorted. Could this sheet replace the old one on Diamondlights sheet?
  18. Gamma Buzz "Fantastico! A Star, like you! Hey can you do that with your energy powers? Create a star of energy? Then you could throw it like a laser ninja! Hi---Yaaaa!" Baz flipped in the air, landed in a cool pose (like how, purely for instance, an ex Soviet - Superspy female agent named after a poisonous arachnid would), and threw an imaginary laser shuriken. He was not particularly trained as a martial artist, bar some of the basics by Crimson tiger. But he was fast and agile and strong, and was learning how to leverage those abilities into a reflexive and effective fighting scale. With laser beams, too. Because laser beams are cool. Pose completed, he stood up and dusted himself off. "I mean, maybe its not that effective, but it is pretty cool, right? And thats the important thing. And staying alive, too I suppose. But mainly looking cool."
  19. GM "Civil?" "Moyd?" The man shook his head, long red hair flowing, as all the others in the room fell to the floor asleep. The green mist started to fade, and the Dreamer could see everyone on the floor. The security guard, who was already half asleep, had fallen smack on his face, broken his nose, and was bleeding from the mangled mess of his nostrils. Mr Pudgewell was snoring loudly. "Courteous, perhaps," said the Red haired man, giving an elegant bow. "But I am not named Moyd. In fact... In fact I dont know my name, maybe I dont have one. Perhaps Moyd will suffice..." "And who are you, young lady, who can resist the fumes of Morpheus?"
  20. For reference, if Lament can find some threads he will take 10 on disguise for a 28 result, and use QuickCHange 2 to disguise as a move action. Hopefully he can find something that meets "Generic guy / goon / dealer" standards! Of course there might be a challenge to find those clothes!
  21. Lament "That," said Lament to himself. "Is a LOT of drugs..." What was it worth? Maths was not his forte, nor was the nuances of economics. But even he could calculate - it was a LOT of money. But was it all about money? Maybe. Probably, even. But there were darker motivations, darker forces, than greed in the world. So who knew? For now, the situation called for a subtle approach. Lament needed a disguise; it was no good prancing about in his ZOMBO clothes. Where could he find some new ones? A big convention centre? Presumably they had a lost and found section, maybe he could pilfer something from there. Quiet, slow, he edge around the masses, looking for some opportunity to grab some threads...
  22. Gamma Buzz "Yah! The best thing about laser beams is they are cool. Lasers are cool, right? And beams, too. So Laser Beams are doubly cool!" "Gamma Buzz, Baby!" Baltazar focussed on the ground of the doom room and carved "GBB" into the floor with pin point accuracy. "Err... well I hope that's just a hologram of carbon burns and smoke... and not something important like nuclear power cells underneath the doom room. In any case, its super cool, right?" "You just need something cool as you tag. Like GS, or G-Star! Then you can tag anything! Like trees, or gas tanks, or innocent bystanders, whoops, I meant evil ninja robots!"
  23. Thankyou!
  24. GM The Disco was magical. But the very sort of mundane non-magical magic that had nothing magical about it at all. It was just a fun place, and that meant that people described it as full of the magic of disco. Nothing, not a glint, of proper magic. Except... Except the man on the balcony, with the full afro, the open chested blue and gold jumpsuit, and the mad eyes. He was tainted. Was tainted the right word? Something inbetween curse, and blessing. And insanity. His mad eyes, his mad grin, they observed the dance floor with - something inmpenetrable. Lust. Fear. Rage. Maybe all three. The man looked like he had imbibed his own body weight in several different pharmacological agents. And not the good ones. He turned, and made his way down golden stairs and onto the dance floor. To cheers from the audience. And well deserved! For the man started busting out the most funktastic dance moves!
