GM Back in the Lobby... The screaming died down, as people fled and panic lead to inevitable emptiness. Only one man remained, a rather rotund and balding man, still booming with some vitality, who spoke with an Austrian Accent as he approached Fenris, fidgetting with his hands and straightening what was undoubtedly an expensive suit. "What is the meaning of this?" he asked, to nobody and everybody. "Herr Apfelbaum" he explained, showing an I.D. Badge to Fenris. "I am the manager of the hotel. What in the name of the blazes is the ongoing?" he asked, in perfectly pronounced but slightly faulty English.

NPC Harry nodded enthusiastically, oozing. The Mess just grimaced, his face furrowing into a veritable knot, whilst his teeth ground together. "I don't like the sound of tha..." he started. "My man will be more than happy to take on anybody!" interrupted Harry, tapping - a little harder than necessary, the Mess' shin with his shoe. "But tell me, what is the show here? I only heard bits and pieces, here and there. I got wind that this place is a bit more than your regular pugilistic arena?" He waggled his eyebrows as he brought out a cheap cigar, lit it, and offered one to the man.

Supercape groaned as he saw the ace of clubs. "Errr...yes" he mumbled apologetically, hoping - without justification - he wasn't sweating too profusely. I'm walking into a trap... He whispered back to Trigger. "My dear man, I can sense subatomic energies and quantum events that the best laboratories in the world can only dream of. X-Rays included. The trouble is, that does no good. You see, X-Rays will penetrate the card with equal ease, unlike visible light which will be absorbed or reflected in differing amount according to the perceived color of the..." He trailed off. "Never mind, I'll save the physics class for later. I can't see through things, no. And I would have to bend light to see the opposite side of something. Hmm...I suppose I could try..." He stopped himself again. "Lead on, Sir!" he said to the mysterious bouncer, cursing the ace of clubs.

Ok Ill need Agnes to come out first then - can I have her make a notice roll?

Well consider Silver Spider well and truly in position and done so with stealth! (You can narrate her being in the air vents and you can flat foot anyone with surprise!) Meanwhile, Scuffs take it away with Glows grand entrance (or whatever) into the floor.

"The deck, as they say, is not in our favour..." said a sweating Supercape, pulling at his collar. For all his considerable ability to shift around time and space, he had never quite gained physical courage. What could it be? some trick? sleight of hand? a code? think..think...would our lady have some card associated with her? The Queen of...diamonds? spades? surely not hearts? Or is it just a joker? No...no code...he told us to guess... That's pretty long odds... "The Queen of DIamonds!" he answered, without hope.

The Mess strolled back to his corner, wiping his brow with offered cloth. He did not pause long before stepping out of the Arena, ignoring the crowd and the referee. He couldn't wait to leave the dirty business. Sure, he had been a boxer growing up. But street fighting mainly. Something about this made his skin crawl. The baying for blood. Perhaps a "normal" fight might have been less toxic, but the mood here set his teeth on edge. Something unpure about it. He may have had a gladiator's heart, but it was true to its nature. Something about this wasn't. He nodded to Revenant and the Hound as he stepped out. "Show's over folks. Can't say I enjoy fighting like this. Fighting's not for sport, its...well....I dunno. It's not this..." he said, short for words. "It's better than this" he explains, in a simple but true statement laced with bitterness. The Hound stepped up to the nearest and most important official he could find. "See what a champion I have here! surely there is something...bigger...more spectacular?" he asked, oozing insinuation.

"Yer Dad's a crook?" muttered the Mess, scratching the stubble on his wide jaw and throwing away the remains of his tattered vest. "Wait, yer running away from yer Dad?" he said, snapping his fingers with slowness. "Which means we gotta pro---" "There she is!" called out the Hound, panting heavily as he pulled himself up the last few steps of the fire escape. Panting almost like a dog, to be honest. His tongue hung out just a little to deeply. He was out of breath, having run back to find out what the hell was happening now the fighting seemed to have stopped. "We got her at last! Boy, we have looked all over this town for you, miss!" he heaved between ragged breaths. "Finally, we can take you home!"

So the last few days I have felt really faint and weak. And yesterday, I found out why - gastroenteritis hit me. So I'm pretty darn ill, my postage is likely to be absent to minimal for the next few days (depending how quick I recover).

For Reference: Velocity - 2 HP - Fatigued Fenris - 3 HP

The Mess scratches his..well, messy ruffled up hair, confused by the shenanigans. "Wait..what? these guys were hired by your father too? What the hell? They don't seem to friendly, missy. If I was you, I'd be wanting a word with you old man..." Despite his bruised and battered body, he never backed down from a fight. Even so, he wasn't that inclined to grab the young woman. For starters, he didn't know what he would do with her once he had. "So why does he want ya anyways? You run away from him? If he sends a coupla' swords and ninja dudes after ya, I can understand why. Ya did a good number on us - hid yerself good and proper. But yer old man is gonna find ya sooner or later, missy. Ya gotta settle things up ya know?" he explained - well, as well as he could, with a shrug of his shoulders and a lopsided grin just under his lopsided broken nose.

GM "Aaaaargh!" screamed the receptionist, a usually unflappable woman in her late 30s whose blond beauty was just starting to turn. Her words may have been without wit, but they carried raw terror, which spread like wildfire to the guests and staff. "Help!" "Let me out of here!" "Alien invasion!" "Wolfs!" "Robots!" Nobody really knew what the panic was about, just that there was some awful terror that had just arrived, in shocking fashion, in the hotel. Alarms rang, screams pierced, and there was a stampede to get out of every exit the hotel had, including, in at least one occasion, the smash of window glass as somebody propelled themselves out of a first floor window into the soft snow below.

Round 2 58 - Velocity 2 HP 44 - Harrow 8- Fenris - 3 HP Robert is en route out of the building, and has his bag.

Feel free to act out more social, but throw in some initiative rolls if/when you respond to Mr. Snake!

GM Meanwhile... The tall man entered the Reptile house, turning his piercing eyes onto the displays there. He caught sight of the anaconda, sleepy in the heat, barely stirring. "Clever of you to keep your vermin here. Even if the fool is not aware of it" he said, coldly, to the snake, who flashed open its eyes. Gone were the normal slits of the snake. Instead, two all-too-human eyes peered from under the sleepy serpent's lids, which scrutinised the old man intently. "Yes, I know all about you. My life's study, you could say. You have grown, stronger than ever. It is fortunate indeed that my great great grandfather could stop you all those years ago. But, you were foolish to use a snake, were you not?" he smiled. A few minutes later... There were screams, there was panic, and a herd of witless tourists ran from the reptile house in a blind panic. The reason for their distress was soon to be clear, as a giant anaconda creeped out from the building...

Hello---oo---oo---oo---ooooo....

His physique slowly returning to normal - or at least, as normal as he could get, Bloody Mess dusted off his knuckles and, with a moments concentration, stopped the bleeding from the sword cuts. They stung all the same. He looked, all rags and blood and bruises, a bloody mess. "Hey man, I had him, ya bozo!" he said with a frown and a cracking of knuckles at Myrmidon. "I had him" he repeated, less loudly and to reassure himself. "I was robbed!" he explained, shrugging his shoulders in annoyance and irritation, before turning to the young gal. "Hey missy, we been' lookin' everywhere for ya. My name is Freddie, although people call me the Bloody Mess. Me an' my partner, we trying to help your dad find ya. Looks likes he was right to be worried!" Grabbing the wrong end of the stick and shaking it like a dog holding onto a dirty rag came easily to the Mess.

Carmen shrugged as Nikki went to get her "bag". "That's one of the strangest...hell, probably the strangest..." she said as she clambered aboard her own bike, wafts of smoke and flickers of flame from her body. The bike was, apart from being a little more sooty than average, a pretty standard biker monstrosity - built more fhe show than effect. "I guess it's the our of us then, Axel. You know how much I hate tying you - or anybody - into the business. Especially that new girl. But I guess that's how the cards have fallen, thanks to dear old Dad..." "Take your car!" she yelled at Nikki. "We could do with something pink!" she concluded, as she revved her engine and prepared to hit the road.
