  1. As Towers is just gonna get carted off, unless you really want to get involved with legal proceedings, i'm leaving this for you guys to wrap up (which I would have thought would be pretty soon!).
  2. GM Jack Jackson, limping and bruised, had managed to purchase a new cheap throwaway camera from the shop next door. It was hardly professional, but it would suffice. He brought up his weapon of the trade to snap Glow. "Dangerous telekinetic digs hole in..." he muttered to himself. A light went on above his head, and he snapped his fingers. "High profile basketball star overdoses on Max!" he said aloud, a broad smile on his lips as he scuttled off to catch the fallout from Towers disgrace. "Not that I forgotten you!" he yelled out to Glow with a backwards glare. "I'm sure she was behind this...somehow...." he whispered to himself as he disappeared from view.
  3. Is Rene snared? could he act?
  4. GM The captain rubbed his eyes, but clearly it had been a long day and he wanted to tie this up with the minimum of paperwork. "Yeah...well....thanks for your help then!" he concluded, nodding to his squad. "This place looks secure now. Nobody injured..." he muttered, giving a suspicious look at the regenerated vampire. "We can go, guys...just remember to be careful and call the police if there is any further disturbance!" he added, wandering off to have a word with the High Steaks security and management. "You'll never get away with it!" hissed the vampire, his beady eyes looking left and right for exit points, but held discretely in an iron grip by Revenant. "The Master will hunt you down! nothing will stop him! His adrenaline cocktail will make him more powerful than ever!" he explained, licking his lips with the last sweet drops of Wessex' blood.
  5. NPC "A contract would be fine ma'am!" replied Harry. She could outsmart me with all that legal tape he thought to himself but I gotta good feeling about her! even if she is dead! He nudged his partner and both stood up. "It's a pleasure meeting you ma'am!" he said, shaking her hand and adjusting his tie. He gave a friendly lopsided grin. "You are just the kind of girl...lady...we need. Someone who knows how to handle the system, and you can eat bullets for breakfast!" he said cheerily. And with that, and a final chug of now-cold coffee, The Hound and The Mess said goodbye to their new lawyer. ~ Fin ~
  6. You can certainly try to grab him! The tunnel is quite long however, and backing up is a little difficult, as its so cramped.
  7. 1d20+10=29 Forgot to subtract bruise, but yeah, makes it!
  8. Ill go with the chair thrower. Leave the big guy to Mess!
  9. Well, Hound will attack the nearest mobster! Ill presume there is one in melee range (if not, let me know) - or at least cue range, because he is using an improvised weapon! 1d20+10=28 for his attack roll, and thats a rather pittiful DC 18 toughness save!
  10. NPC "Oh what the hell..." moaned Harry. He was a rat cornered in a cage, but he would be damned if he didn't go down fighting. For all his cowardice, Harry had trod the streets long enough, and was smart enough, to know how to fight - he was actually pretty good at it. It just happened that his preferred method of fighting was to run away and ask someone else to do it for him. But, if cornered. "I got your back, Freddy!" he called out, and with a surprising burst of speed, took a few steps and swung the cue bat full circle at the nearest mobster.
  11. GM A few moments later, deep down a tunnel... "Hssss!" It was El Sierpe, only a few dozen feet from them, wriggling his way (with much greater ease) through the tiny tunnel. He was able to crane his neck at a quite impossible angle and give them a glare in the almost-darkness. "Impossible!" he hissed. "Will I never be rid of you two kids?" he snarled. "When I'm back in Mexico, I won't forget about you! I'll have my revenge! My devil doctor will cook up something very special for the occassion! muahahaha!" With that, he started slithering forward again, to the opposite side of the tunnel, and away from the grasp of Glow and El Heraldo...
  12. GM Fortunately, Glow did not have to wait long. The Telekenetic grip she had on Towers started to slow his vibration - bit by bit, he started to return to normal (whatever that was). It came as some relief to the young heroine - as the feedback from the super-vibration threatened to make her teeth chatter. "I'm alive! I'm alive!" roared Towers with pure joy! "Damn it! I thought it was going to be journey to the centre of the earth back there!" As the police arrived, Towers' lawyer stepped in. "My client would like it known that he deeply regrets any actions that may, or may not, have resulted from inadvertent and accidental ingestion of any super-powered drugs. Furthermore, as any such allegations have yet to be proved, he would like to remind all that any such insinuations would damage his career and will be open to litigation. He would like to express his thanks to the superheroines known as Glow and Silver Spider, and thanks them for their resolute and legally enforcible silence on this matter!"
  13. Rene stopped to pause, and catch his breath. The magical energy around him, and that he had summoned, was beginning to take its toll on his already weak body. Vampires! His dealings with the undead had been more with zombies, revenants, and necromancers. Vampires always seemed a rather special breed to him. But he had read a few books, and even seen a few movies. "I'm sure your sort has seen one or two of these!" From behind Vittorio, a lance of finely polished oak, tipped at the hand, sprang forth, ready to impale the creature in the classic style of vampire slaying.
  14. "I see your mental acumen extends to deception as well as detective work!" agreed Rene enthusiastically. "Very well then...I dislike this game of chess we are playing. Or, rather, I dislike who we are playing it against. The Fey are grandmasters at lies and twisted words, they are the finest chef's of plots. And yet, play their game we must, if we are to penetrate what transpires!" "For all their honeyed words, they do not keep silent. From foolish lips and foolish tounges the truth may fall!" He smacked a fist into a palm, eager to duel wits with the Faerie. "Come then, let us wander the halls! Let the play begin!"
  15. Ill wait for the horror to act then! (i.e. he has initiative!)
  16. Broken Crow lay on the marsh next to them. His fever was broken, yet he was still exhausted from the events. Ever since childhood, he had been crippled, needing a stick to walk. His strength was not measured in the power of the body, but rather his will. "I know not what this maiden is" he said, voice somewhat drained. "But I know this...she is powerful, drawing her strength from something beyond this world. She has formed a cult, and had made the swamp and all its poison's her own..." He paused for breath. "This swamp, it now exists not entirely in our own time, not entirely in our own space. The swamp itself is alive, and its tendrils and roots spread to every dimension and world...you must have felt it, coming here? thing's...got strange..." Indeed, an unnatural foul smelling mist did hand in the air. "We must leave...before she or her insane cult awake. Through this swamp, path's to your own time you can take..."
  17. "In your dreams!" retorted Mess as the man charged him. "You'll never..." Kapow! Fred's Jaw took most of the blow. It would have taken a normal man's head off, but Fred could take the mightiest of punches. Even so, he took a few steps back in surprise, an spat blood from a cut lip. What the hell? That man is too strong! he said as his brain shifted gears and started clearing the cobwebs. Whilst rattled inside, he kept a steely look at his opponent, not giving an inch.
  18. 1d20+10=19 Bruised!
  19. "What a knucklebuster!" swore Mess, as he got up. His back was a little sore, but he would live to fight another day. He didn't relish being hit over the head with a cue, however. "The gloves are off now, buster!" he yelled, as he forced his superhuman blood to swell and pump around his body, turning it into a massive dynamo. His muscles swelled to the size of watermelons, his chest expanded and his t shirt ripped. He looked like some bloated sack of rocks, or a steroid body builder who had taken his profession a little too seriously. Pumped up, like this, he had the strength of a hundred men. He wouldn't use this to break any normal two bit thug, but this guy - he was stronger than he had any right to be. And now, the Mess wouldn't hold back. "I'm pumped up too, buddy!" he yelled as the final vein in his body swelled up, ready for action.
  20. Mess: Move action - get up Standard Action - boost (pump up)
  21. NPC "Awww...come on!" yelled the Hound in desperation just as Ricky clammed up. "I hate fighting...." he whimpered, but if there was going to be a bar room brawl, there was going to be a bar room brawl. The Mess could handle it... ....The Mess can handle it... he told himself as his partner got flung across the room. they would have hurt. Well, hurt most men. He knew his partner could take that and more, but even still... He launched himself down to the pool tables. "Go get em, Mess!" he said, picking up a cue and waving it around. "I got ya' back!"
  22. Hound will use a move action to move to the Pool table, and standard action to pick up improvised weapon (pool cue)!
  23. 1d20+10=19 Just made it.
  24. 1d20+20=27!
  25. Meanwhile The Mess may not have been smart, but he knew when a fight was happening, and it was happening now... He had half a mind to let the guy take the first swing, but his instincts kicked in first - instincts from a hundred and more street fights. I'll go gentle first... he added to himself. He could hit harder than any human if he wanted to do, his mutant blood powering his hard slabs of muscle. But for now, he would hit with just his normal strength. Which was still as hard as hell. "Meet lefty!" he said, cool and hard as a diamond, as his big fist slipped into action...
