"Oh I am just a helpless old man, too long of years and burdened with the weight of mortality!" said Rene, creaking his back but meeting their gaze. "Before I meet my inevitable doom, I would hear the words of Parsinkle and Hartfoul. For it seems to my addled brain and addled eye that your schemes have outplayed me and my companion. Alas, foolish pride of mine that thought I could match wit for wit!" He snapped his fingers in frustration and puckered his brow. "And yet, it is as it is, or is at is appears to be!" he said, cryptically, before continuing without pause. "Perhaps you would spare me the torment of ignorance, if only to replace it with the torment of knowledge? Tell me all!"

All good to me. My point about Fruction control is its probably more handy to notate it as a trip power with area extra etc than friction control as it saves people looking it up! Its fine either way.

Bloody Mess (PL10/15) - Supercape (Gold)
Supercape replied to Supercape's topic in Archived Characters
Corrected! I forgot to put down a base Super Strength 2 power, which is actually in the figures but not on the sheet! The other 4 however is accounted for. 22 Base Strength, 4 Enhanced Strength, +4 From Boost. I have corrected this, putting Superstrength 2 back in. (In other words, boost is the 3PP/rank version that improves both base Strength and Superstrength - and leaping and running). A last minute edit I made. Both corrected. Mystery solved! it was the Superstrength 2 I didn't put down. Corrected. The Hound Corrected 3 Ranks in flaws. 2 for range, 1 for limited to canines. Again, I should have put this in, but didn't. Corrected. Well, I think his Powers come to 18, not 23. That still leaves him 2 points over budget. I had originally bough this with a vulnerability to fear, but on reflection I think that's better as a complication. So Ill throw out Improved Defence 2 from both forms of the hound. -
Hydrotastic! Ok, so... Fluff: This all looks good to me. I would comment that a lot of the complications essentially boil down to the same thing (i.e. beef with Dr. Sin et al). If you want to subdivide them thats fine, but for me it looks a bit granular. You may get more fun out of adding a few more ones with a different flavour, you may not. E.g. She might need a tiny drop of water to do all her powers, be it a tear, a raindrop, or a cup of tea (thats just off my head). You could do with a bit of description about what the powers look like, given that some are subtle. What does the force field look like, for instance (a swirling plane of water around her?), and the "solid water"? Crunch - just a few points of format: Attributes add up to 36 PP, not 32 PP as you annotate (although at the bottom of sheet its 36 PP) No need to have the Equipment line in, as she has none. Water Control Syntax needs correcting Friction Control - can you explain what this is, and annotate it, as the base power? Overall this looks pretty solid to me, just a few tidy up points!

My quick comments: 1. To be honest, having a base power of telekenesis 4...heh, it may be better just to say hell with it and put all magic into the device. Give yourself the spare PP to have a back up pistol equipment or bump up your attack roll base. 2. Comprehend: Understand only. I get where you are coming from here, but this may need reflection. I always envisaged things like machines not spontaneously speaking, but you could get some mileage out of asking them questions with comprehend 2. Personally I would soup this up to rank 2. Maybe with a funky / interesting flaw like "not if made of copper" or something (it might be interesting if the tablet has some aversion to machines made in a certain way or of a certain material!) Just a few throwaway comments! Interesting character!

It is! No roll needed

Well, that hits by 6 over required, so a DC 30 Toughness save. Grue 1 already has two bruises, so: 1d20+6=16 is a fail by 14...Grue 1 is bruised, dazed, staggered! Giain Knight - Fatigued! The remaining 4 Grue are going to attack the plants now! 2-4 Attack the Trees... 1d20+8=25, 1d20+8=18, 1d20+8=18 They all hit. DC 23 Toughness, DC 15 Fort. Trees toughness saves (I hope you are OK with my rolling for them for expediencies sake, Electra...) 1d20+10=16, 1d20+10=22, 1d20+10=15 Thats Tree 1: Bruised/Dazed, Tree 2: Bruised, and Tree 3: Bruised/Dazed. Fort Saves 1d20+9=25, 1d20+9=22, 1d20+9=23 is much better! Grue 5 Attacks Fleur! 1d20+8=22 which I think is a hit, so DC 23 Toughness and DC 15 Fort Save Waiting for Fox to Post IC, then Ill post IC.

Arise! ARISE! Is anyone who was interested, still interested? I am ready when you are!
-
To clarify, its very much up to you were you want to take that! Emotion control is a difficult power in terms of role playing, so you have as much leeway as possible. And then some more leeway! If you want to play it as kissing a fantastic looking frog, or hugging a tree, that's all good to me! In otherwords its about mad passion, rather than frantic fornication!

"This doesn't look good either" He had the horrible feeling, with the sounds and the signs, that this had an eldritch flavour. If not in actuality, then perhaps it was being worshipped as one. Whatever was going on, dimensional tears were bad business. The only question was how bad. He was torn between the urge to immediately send his mental power full force into the breach to close it, and study it first. And what of this chained figure. "Hello!!!" he called out, loud but uncertainly, to the man - or woman - or...whatever... "Can you hear me? what is going on?" he called, approaching him cautiously.

Rene could not move as the horde filled the vicinity. "Curse you madam! as ever, the people are your slaves! vile despot!" Try as he might, his frail limbs, old with age, could not move. He was sprightly for his age - he appeared as a man of seventy, and was in good health for a man of that many years, let alone his real years, but he was no longer strong. "But perhaps I am not a hopeless romantic!" he said slyly. "I have learned much in the centuries, madame, whilst you have laid stale. Even now, you do not realise the powers I command. Even now, the strands of fate advance...yes, from the very walls behind you!!!" he laughed.

Ok keep this clean and PG - 13 folks! But Malaise is summoning a spirit of mad lust! Thats an emotion control 10 (love - with the above descriptor) effect, folks. So DC 20 Will saves. And Malaise is not resisting...watch out El Heraldo... Crow is falling for it, so Young Brittania is in for some amorous feelings... Remember this is PG-13, and keep it clean! and you don't have to do anything your character wouldn't do / you don't feel comfortable with (although HP are available for those who fail the roll deliberately or are particularly entertaining / get themselves in real trouble!). As its all a bit fudged and in the context of Malaise being a bit mad, you can play this out as you wish if you fail - such as fallingin love with each other, the tree next to you, etc... Also: please note, I want this to be fun and comfortable. If it is not, please let me know, and I will edit accordingly!

GM The Healing power of Young Brittania worked its way through the fever of Malaise, although not without struggle. As the young heroine fought through the pestilence, she could feel the power of Malaise, and...beyond Malaise, the odour of the malevolent being she worshipped. Something from beyond worlds and dimensions, something that was beyond human comprehension. The merest sensation of this being gave a cold chill of insanity. But the fever broke, and Broken Crow convulsed one last time, as the sweat literally flew of his body. A...rather attractive body... His big brown eyes gazed into Young Brittania's as the screaming of Malaise hit the swamp, and a crying and wailing from all creatures echoed around. From behind bushes and mangrove trees came the tears and laughter of copulation and suchlike, as the degenerates started to grab their nearest partner, or, if they could not, a wooden tree, to fondle and canoodle... Broken Crow pressed his body to the cage, reaching upwards towards Young Brittania in a new frenzy. "What devilish fever strikes me now!" he said, gaping like a hungry dog. "You ignite the wildest and boldest of urges in me, like the wildcat in heat!" he said, ready to rend the wooden strats of his cage with the strength of passion...

GM Malaise gave a crooked smile, a finger stroking El Heraldo's chin. "There is nothing solemn about life, monkey! and there is no duty, no, not one. There is only life, and it a filthy thing. The purpose of life is to decay, rot, and in its fetid state, to spread more life. It is like the swamp, full of life in all its horror. Is there nothing more beautiful? life is most alive when lose to death, Oui?" She cackled the laugh of the insane. "But I do like you, little monkey, with your rainbow clothes and your sweet tounge! Perhaps the vile beauty of lust I shall give to you..." she smiled and began to sway, mumbling at first, and the screaming a creole language, a mix of french, latin and other pidgin languages... "Ouda body..ouda body...fromda sweat anda breast...innit daway of man a'beast! Innit daway of man a'beast Da heart apumpin'! a pumpin' aluvin' Da spirit from were we came and damade us! comagan! and agan! comnow! and make luvin again for da time dawillbe!"

Bloody Mess (PL10/15) - Supercape (Gold)
Supercape replied to Supercape's topic in Archived Characters
Just noticed I didn't put Bloody's Attack Code in, added it. And whilst I was at it, also added the rather low grapple bonus for his alternate form! -
Well we have a homing attack from last round first, at +8 attack, +14DC. 1d20+8=19 Probably a miss? Move Action: A bluff / feint at -5 on Vittorio 1d20+1=19 - hey, not bad! Inspiration! Just in case those vampires are vulnerable to wooden stakes, lets try to finish of Vittorio! With variable descriptor 2, autofire and Indirect 3, lets paint a flurry of wooden stakes flying at the vampire! (with descriptor: wood!) 1d20+10=19 I don't know if that hits? may do if bluff works. If it does, DC 27 Toughness save.

GM "There were a few" answered Dr. Cream. One other, he got busted up just as bad...he said, pointing at the bed on the far side of the ICU. "Just came out of surgery, intestines all shot...messy business, don't ask. Don't worry..." he added, in a reassuring tone. "Actually, he should be fine, better off than Captain Meddows. It just he will be out for the count for the next day or two on morphine..." "We had a few others with less severe injuries. A few broken bones, scrapes, bruises, burns. Some are in here, some back at home on painkillers and, no doubt, a stiff drink. They might tell you something. But it was Meddows here who was in the car and in charge of the operation, he knows the most, and I guess he ain't up to... well I'll be damned!!!" Meddows sat straight up, his face full of colour and his eyes bright, the power of El Heraldo and the dame having revived the unlucky police hero. "Sonovagun!" he shouted, all golden smiles once more. "If it ain't my favourite hero and his spunky little sidekick lady friend!" he beamed, giving Glow a saucy wink. "You seemed to have saved my bacon, son!" he said, patting El Heraldo on the back.

El Heraldo - Exhausted!
-
Which means GK is up, although Nauseated!

GM "Good thinking those plants will help us! *bzzzt...destroy all plant's*" said the Captain, as his powered limbs strained against the vines and vegetation that had wrapped around and around him, binding his limbs tightly. He had little leverage to move, and could only wiggle a little, as artificial metals and plastics pitted themselves against organic strength. The android was strong - he would eventually break free but for now, he was ensnared. The Grue, if they were shocked, did not show it, wrapped up as they were in their own frenzy - by now they were quite beyond reason, entered into a frenzied blood lust.
-
Ok so the Captain is up. He will use his strength to break out of the Vines, so its a DC 25 Toughness save for said vines. 1d20+18=29 they are safe!
-
A reflex roll from a man over 200 years old? 1d20=7 Bound! muahahaha! As he is bound, my next action is just going to speech. Trying to bluff her to flat foot her as a standard action, and using 1 HP to gain the set up feat for this scene! 1d20+6=20

Supercape replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Archives
Character Name: Young Rene Power Level: 7 Trade-Offs: +1 Attack / -1 Defence, +1 Toughness / -1 Defence A one off Rene, following on from Gallia falling part 1. Rene is a considerably older (in his 40’s) and wiser. After the troubles of Revolutionary France, he has lost a few of his military skills and is less physically able, but – after training from Broken Crow, now has considerable magic powers, although they are not as refined as in the modern age. By this point, he has a crude version of his magic paintbrush, able only to create illusions. He has “the dead ringâ€, a relic of a necromancer he defeated which protects him from harm (and will eventually be used to forge his more formidable artefact of protection in the modern age).
