"Aha!" replied Lord Steam. "Kisses are never optional when a beautiful woman is involved!" giving her a dainty kiss on the hand and a wink. "Oh really!" said Lord Lockwood, feigning modesty and examining his nails for a moment. "I could not possibly accept such flattery from a enchantress like yourself! But..yes, it's true. I do try to bring a little bit of culture to this dimes...er...this city!" he said, wondering as ever exactly how much he should confess about his 'ambassador status'. "But please! enough about my charitable work. I don't like to talk about all the work I do for charity. All the work I do for charity is something I like to keep private. So lets not hear another word about all the work I do for charity!" He coughed with modesty. "Let me instead sup some of your excellent champagne, and bask in your radiance!" he finished, giving Megan a wink.

GM Broken Crow looked up, feverish, his eyes bloodshot and rimmed with sweat. The man had a will of iron, but his body was burning up with a disease of unnatural origin. He lifted a hand gently, taking comfort from the subtle light of Young Brittania. "Gods be praised..." he whispered. "This is no trick of the madwoman...Rene...yes, I remember him...I...taught him...Gods, I could do with him now...but, perhaps not...I would not wish this insanity on anyone..." He stopped, trembling in what appeared to be a seizure for a few seconds, his body fighting the pestilence... "Please, you have to...we have to...stop this. This woman, she is worse than the serpent people. Quite mad...some outer god has snapped her mind..."

Could I have a bluff roll which, in this case, will be opposed by a notice roll...that is, presuming EH is trying to distract MM from YBs conversation. 1d20+10=13 is her notice roll. Bluff roll has the normal +/-2 or +/-5 for particularly zany anctics (as situational bonus!)

As you have come back, there sure is another bodyguard, so that acrobatic feint is great but still a miss! Lets skip to Silver Spider!

"That doesn't sound good..." acknowledged Supercape, who was sorely tempted to put his fingers in his ears to block out the terrible sound. However, he needed all his wits about him... It doesn't feel to heart-warming either he told himself, as his uncanny senses picked up the dimensional tear. At least it isn't getting bigger... he told himself, clinging to some hope. The temptation to run and get help from the Lab, or Doktor Archeville, lay strong. But he simply didn't have the time. Anything could happen, and anything could happen now "No time like the present..." he told Trigger, before marching at full speed towards the disturbance...

GM Later, at the Ronald Reagan Hospital, somewhere down south... The sun was beginning to set, soon it would be nightfall. "Yeah, its's not looking good" said a sombre Doctor to Glow and El Heraldo. Meddows had been beaten badly, as El Sierpe made his mistake, overpowering his guards and crashing two vehicles. "Lets see..." said Doctor Cream, an elderly man with a rather to energetic grey moustache and bald head. He wore an ostentatious pair of spectacles at the end of a large, ostentatious nose, but he seemed kind enough. Tired, but kind. "ten percent body burns, broken femur, ribs, and clavicle. Ruptured spleen...had to remove that...serious concussion, shock, pulmonary embolus..." He nodded over to Meddows who was hooked up in Intensive care, full of tubes and listening to the sound of many machines beeping. "...keeping him under heavy sedation. He is in a bad way. I'd give him 50/50 normally, but he is a strong guy..."

Fenris (PL 12) - KnightDisciple (Gold)

Rene stroked his beard, a fleck of anger in his fingers, eyes and tounge. "Played for the fool. Not for the first time..." he said to himself, lost in memory. "Enough! The games of the faerie folk are bitter. Yes, they may know we are here. And if they do, another cog in their machine of deception. But where and how do they wish to extend their power? Here lies the mystery..." "Let us confront them then! See if their silver tounges can explain!" With that, in a most vexed state, he flung the doors open!
-
Are you guys ok with a slighltly brutal but effective Cut to Meddows in hospital down south? By doing so Ari is assumed to get all the information he needs from the officer and Glow can call in whatever back up she feels like narrating to protect Mr. Cloak!
-
I'm afraid not! that nausea setting in (defence +8) You also get a fort save vs the sickened status (at +1), which may come in handy as... Those pesky Grue are going to wail on poor GK again! 1d20+8=25, 1d20+8=20, 1d20+8=12, 1d20+8=19, 1d20+8=22 ...They roll well, huh? thats 4 more toughness DC 23 Rolls, 4 more fort saves at DC 15...yoikes!

GM Towers had run out of coins. The webbing of Silver Spider still stuck him solid to the ground. "I've had enough of this! Nobody gonna stop me!" he yelled to the universe as a whole. With his face contorting with both fury and effort, he starting shaking, a vibration that beat out an ultra-fast beat. He was moving so fast, like a jackhammer, that he virtually became a blur. "....I'mmmmm g-g-g-g-going-ng-ng-ng to-to-to-to-to-to- g-g-g-g-g-get out of-of-of-of h-h-h-h-here" came his voice, thumming along with his vibrating body. And for once, his boast was not idle. The drilling motion of his vibrating body starting to peel away the glue beneath him, until, at once, he was free!!!

GM Dropping his rifle to the floor, the poor android grasped Gabriels spear with both hands. "Effective weapon! Don't let me...use...it....*bzzzt*" he crackled, as his powerful artificial limbs pulled the spear out of his body, to the tune of many sparks and arcs. His eyes briefly glistened with powerful electricity as he hefted the mighty weapon. "Oh dear...." he commented, as he took the weapon with both hands. The Android was clearly strong, fast, and capable. He was just as deadly with the spear as he was with his rifle that now lay on the floor. He shoulders hunched, his legs coiled, the android advanced towards Gabriel...

So, Andriod Captain will pull out Gabriels Spear and use it against him! I don't really want to give him the full benefits (a PL 19 attack) so I will compromise here, and say it retains it Accurate 2 bonus, and acts as an improvised weapon (+2 DC). That gives him a +18 Attack at Damage 12. However, its going to take him a standard action to pull the thing out of him. And then a move action to get to Gabe. So no attack this round. GK is up!

For healing a child who then runs back into danger... Fleur - 4 HP
-
GM Meanwhile... Penny, aghast at the site of her 'father' having a spear through his body, thrust herself forward, eyes wet with tears. "Leave my daddy alone!" she cried, jumping into the fray to everybody's surprise, throwing herself infront of the android to shield him from Gabriel. "You are a nasty man!" she screamed at poor Gabriel. And then... Scraps, fully healed, darted forward after Penny. "No Penny! get away! You'll get hurt!..." he tried, vainly, to explain, pulling at her rags to get her away. He was slightly older, and had a better understanding of the situation... "He isn't your father!" he shouted at her, much to her horror. And furthermore... "Children! Get away! I have to *bzzzt* *crackle* kill all humans!"

After discussion in chat... :approved: ! See how this character develops however, it strays a bit close to the line in terms of motivation. For me its on the right side, but at the end of the day its how he develops in real threads!

Gabriel - 1 HP That hits, so its a DC 27 Toughness Roll for the already Injured Andriod... 1d20+9=27 Yikes! Fleur is up!
-
Ok! Lets see what happens (nothing is predetermined) but your thoughts very helpful, thanks!

Meaning Gab is up!

Round 5 MB: renaming the Grue Mutants for ease. Mistakenly I jumped Gabs from 1HP to 3HP for the disarmed complication, sorry. I'm also noting the cumulative bonuses for save to Sickened for those effected. Fleur can, as she has cleaned the air, also recover at this point. 24 - Gabriel - 2 HP - Bruised x2 23 - Fleur - 3 HP - Sickened (+0), Bruised 19 - Andriod Captain - Injured 14 - Giain Knight - 0 HP - Sickened (+1), Bruised 5 - Grue Mutant 1 - Bruised x2 5 - Grue Mutant 2 - Shaken 5 - Grue Mutant 3 - unharmed 5 - Grue Mutant 4 - unharmed 5 - Grue Mutant 5 - unharmed Misc: Stone covering capsules: Injured x2

Time for a narrative discussion! i.e. what do you feel like happening? Madame Malaise / Swamp Queen (thanks for name by the way), is a rather insane Cthulloid witch, who, from my postage, you can see has a rather warped view of life. I have been considering her and her swamp dimension recurring in the present and always encroaching. In other words, she is going to appear again I think! The thing is, YB and EH have handled this almost perfectly diplomatically, both with rolls and your IC posts. It could be resolved without a fight (although perhaps with other conflicts). What do you guys feel like doing? Giving MM a beat down? something else?
