  1. Thats enough!
  2. I should have realised Steam would need a move action to draw his weapon, so if its ok with you TK, lets just fluff he takes a few back steps in that last post?
  3. Gabriel - 1 HP Toughness roll 1d20+10=21 Injured, Dazed. Post away!
  4. gimme an intimidate roll. DC 5 for basic info, DC 10/15/20 for more!
  5. Supercape raised an eyebrow as Smokey walked through the microwaves as if they weren't there. He threw his arms in front of him as the flaming fist plowed towards him. He had been in enough brawls to handle himself in a fight...just, but he was no fighter. He started to get worried. "Oh dear" he mumbled to himself. Realising that this would only give Smokey more confidence. He didn't generally like such dangerous tactics, but he really had no intention of eating a flaming fist and ending up with burns. With another judicious nudge of atoms, he released a massive pulse of gamma radiation that bathed Smokey in a rather gaudy green light...
  6. Supercape will change tack here, and bathe Smokey in radiation...its a DC 20 Fort Nauseate attack.
  7. Rene clutched his heart, feeling a pang as the strain hit him. He had been young, so very young... and now he felt centuries old. And not in the way he normally did. He felt as if the centuries clung to him like cold wet chains, dragging him down and sucking the life from his creaking bones. His voice was faint as he replied. "Very long. And yet, I wish it had been longer...if you pardon me...I am old now, old with centuries beyond that of men, and have seen much...perhaps too much. The passing of wars, of kings, and states, new evils, and new triumphs. And worlds beyond on our own, beyond imagination...how Gods and kings are but pawns...how all power is an illusion..." He coughed, the pain in his chest growing, and his vision constricting. Things seemed distant, somehow...he felt himself rambling... "What....what are you doing here?" he asked, feebly.
  8. Taking advantage of the Grue's hesitation, Synth jumped into the fray with a jump and a few quick steps, moving like a snake, whipping her arms and legs. "Sorry!" she explained as she propelled her fist into the face of one Grue. "Self-defence!" she added, as she immediately followed up with a backwards kick at the chest of another, throwing him into the air and into a crunching impact with the side of the airlock. She looked at Starlight briefly. "I felt it best to act, this time..." she said to her partner, as he brushed aside a Minion's lunge and repaid it with a powerful knee and elbow that sent him spinning.
  9. "So, then Countess...or Gallia...what do you intend to do now? no Prince to save, no France to restore..." He stood up, regaining his determination, a simmering anger glowing in him. Not rage, but defiance. "Your place is in the history books, it seems, noble and virtuous, the Ancien Regime. All things must pass from the world, yet live on in memory. How would you live, then, Gallia? as a despot that clung to life in the face of misery and spitting in the face of the people? or as a glorious part of the tapestry of France's history?" He straightened. A cornered rat might fight with the strength of the lion, and although Gallia was cornered in a sense, she was far from a rat...
  10. Round 5 24 - Gabriel - 2 HP - Bruised x2 23 - Fleur - 3 HP - Nauseated, Bruised 19 - Andriod Captain - Unharmed 14 - Giain Knight - 1 HP - Sickened 5 - Grue Mutant 1 - Bruised x3, Shaken 5 - Grue Mutant 2 - Bruised x2 5 - Grue Mutant 4 - Bruised x2 5 - Grue Mutant 5 - Shaken 5 - Grue Mutant 6 - unharmed 5 - Grue Mutant 7 - unharmed 5 - Grue Mutant 8 - unharmed Misc: Stone covering capsules: Injured x2 Gabe up!
  11. GM The gibbering mutant Grue shrieked and jabbered, frustrated at their inability to rend Giain Knight's rock and earth. They seemed driven half mad - or fully mad - by their insane fervour, and whatever organisation they had was now a memory. A few of them scrabbled on top of the earth, wailing despair and crunching their fists and nails into the hard rock with little effect - although their fanatic devotion would no doubt unearth the children given enough time, even if they had to gnaw the rock down with broken teeth. Some leapt over to Giain Knight, the master of earth who had deprived them of their devotion, tearing and slashing at him...
  12. You guys up for a cut to smith?
  13. Rene held his young head in his young hands, shaking it. "The spirits of nations may reflect the will of the nations...in this age, that frightens me. And, if history is any tutor, I am not sure I am consoled by the past either. One can only hope for the future...but I man's progress in science and philosophy will be matched its advancement of war, with all its horrors..." he said, prophetically. The spirit Rene of the future, fighting in the disease ridden barracks of world war I, reached back through time and sent a spectral chill down his spine. "So, what now? what plans and schemes have you at the moment? Gallia? Brittania? Let the people of France have peace, I beg you!" he implored.
  14. This is the simplest, and imo best way of working it out!
  15. One down...but don't rest on your laurels old man! Nevertheless, he permitted himself a smile, partly of relief. "I've dealt with plenty of fools and idiots in my time, but you two certainly deserve a special place in my gallery of knuckleheads!" he retorted at the enraged Smokey. With that, he stretched out his mind to tweak a few atoms here and there, in just the right way. And with an influx of air and a wave of heat, bathed the man in a particular recipe of microwave radiation, exciting all the molecules of smoke and dust that Smokey seemed to me made of. "And I am no fun of being singed like that!" he added.
  16. Well this is going to be quick! Switching atromic array to a straight irradiate power, microwaving him (er...in a non-lethal way, of course)...its a perception attack so DC 27 Toughness roll.
  17. Move Action: Move! (towards exit) Standard Action: -2 Attack, +2 DC, taking 10 on attack roll for 22, thats a DC 21 Toughness roll.
  18. "If man was meant to fly, Vishnu would have given him a magnificent bronze wings powered by an internal steam engine!" replied Lord Steam, acutely aware of the vast distance to the earth. "Hmmm! that gives me an idea!" he said, a metaphorical gaslight springing into being above his head. "But perhaps another day!" he interjected, as he pulled out his revolver and backed off. It seemed that El Heraldo was more than a match for the Avians, but...they could fly, he could not, and he did not want them keeping him from the safety of Cressida. He fired a pot shot at one, a customised rubber coated bronze bullet designed for mercy. He had no particular wish to kill, unless absolutely necessary. He was a detective, not a soldier.
  19. "Brittania?" said Rene, his mind whirring with the possibilities. "The spirit of Britain? if so you have had your fair share of civil war - and I can only imagine what sundered your nature. The Magna Carta, perhaps? if so, I can see how Frances liberty is a reflection of your own - perhaps a brighter but bloodier one..." "But now - England and France, France and England. They have not been the best of friends..nor perhaps the worst of enemies. But much blood has been spilled in war between the nations. And they do not sing in tune, even today. So...Brittania and Gallia, spirits of the nation...." He let out a moment of anger. "But what of men? If the people of those nations are just pawns...well, I spit at both of you! Leave men to be free!"
  20. Well as they are minions, Synth will wade through them, taking 10 on attack rolls for 20. Presuming that hits, its DC 25 Toughness Save (as she has an extra 4 points STR from variable power), and if they fail, takedown attack 2 to move to the next one, rinse, repeat!
  21. GM The Tank, already gummed up by Catalysts chemical assault, was no match for Starlight at this point. Steam poured out at every orifice, followed swiftly but its hot and bothered crew. With a satisfying hiss, the tank stooped, and fell flat on the ground, kicking up dust. Erasmus looked on in horror at the devastation the three heroes had caused. He fell to his knees, clasping his hands in a prayer. "It wasn't me! It wasn't me! Finnigan paid me do it...errr...I mean made me do it!" he wailed, crocodile tears streaming down his dust and oil painted face. "I'm innocent! I was just doing what he told me!" he cried.
  22. At this point, I am going to sort of Fiat that - its an immobilised, disarmed tank. Ill just say you finish it off! Also, a pretty weakened Erasmus knows when his time is up! Surrender!
  23. Behavioural Sciences Roll DC 20
  24. GM Although the Band kept playing, the tune become more hypnotic and eerie tune. On the floor, the assorted ladies and gentlemen of wealth kept laughing, but in a drunken, soporific way, as the chemicals on the questionairre hit their brains. Perhaps the small dosage was relatively ineffective, or perhaps this was what Accurso intended: some sat, some giggled, some yawned, but none fell asleep. They just seemed to lurch, their inhibitions gone, talking non stop. If Eve had not been aware of the drug infusion, it would have been easy to pass it off as alcohol intoxication, although to the experienced eye it was something a little different...
  25. Supercape contemplated the situation for the briefest of moments. Whilst he had no intention of being singed by Smokey again... ...I can't risk either of them getting away. Something big is up, and either of them may know something... He shot off, cape fluttering magnificently behind him, flying over Trigger and whirling around, his cape, still glowing with blue-purple radiation, swirling and slicing into Trigger once more. "I'm sorry my friend, but I can't let either of you escape. Not until I know what on earth is going here!" he said, with genuine passion. "Construction workers don't turn into smoke and throw fireballs every day!"
