GM Smith nodded, actually listening intently to Hronos. "Well, I suggest you put me down then. So you can find the one responsible for causing that mayhem..." he smiled, with a little smirk. "Although I would be most pleased to meet him myself. Very interested..." he said, with considerable passion. "So put me down, then. And tell me...what is your purpose? why are you so interested in the space-time continuum? come now, I have complied with your purpose...for now. And I grow curious why I machine is so interested in this. And how much you might know about time travel...please, indulge my curiousity!"

Gallia Falling, part 1 - The Death of Kings (IC)
Supercape replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Europe
"Well there we are in agreement" replied Rene to Constance, inwardly relieved that the young Prince would not be caught up in this Machiavellian plot. He should hardly have had to pay - in any form - for the misfortunate troubles of the age. He was more innocent than any of them - himself included. "So, what were your plans? and who do you work for? if you used me - and I always suspected you were, as you know - then perhaps you would do me the dignity of telling me for what purpose? containing Gallia? or something more?" "If Gallia is a spirit, I am not sure how she can be contained, or even if she should be. But this is an age of blood and chains, the former is spilled, the latter are broken...or perhaps reforged anew. Gallia is in turmoil, whatever our actions?" -

GM John Smith held himself limp in Hronos grip. "Flying? Interesting. I shall make note of that. I wonder what else you have been programmed to do, tool..." said Hronos, half to himself, half to Hronos. "I wonder who programmed you. What are you meant to do? Fly people around cities? I suspect you are for more than that. What algorihythms and circuits bind you?" He looked down at the ground, at the sky, almost enjoying the feeling. "You have no free will, tool. Just a purpose...you can't escape the parameters of your creation. You are less than a slave..." He scanned the horizon. "And now, where are you taking me? somewhere safe, you said?"

Gallia Falling, part 1 - The Death of Kings (IC)
Supercape replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Europe
Rene turned around slowly. He felt his neck tighten, a virtual noose constricting around it. Although the final pieces of the jigsaw were yet to fall into place, the final pawns to move, the broad machinations of the game were becoming unveiled. "A false Prince?" he said, keeping his voice steady. Somehow, as the blood drained from his skin, it focussed his mind. "A false bait? for whom, I wonder?" he asked. "And perhaps the layers of intrigue might finally be peeled away, if ever they can. With you, I suspect they are like an onion...one layer removed only to find another underneath..." -
GM Inside the changing rooms, Towers changed his clothes into that of a grey suit almost quicker than the eye could see. The suit fitted his tall gangly but athletic frame extremely poorly, but it was enough to cover his dignity at least. A few rips in the trousers and jackets were unsightly but not revealing. "No Mr. Towers here, ma'am!" he called out, lying through his teeth. With a snake like whip of his arm, he stuffed a fedora hard on his head, so hard that it covered his eyes momentarily. "Damnit!" he cursed, pulling the fedora off slightly so he could see, and snapping on a huge and unstylish pair of glasses. With that, he poked his head out of the changing rooms...
-
GM Smith did not resist this time, but laughed as the Robot caught him. He had let himself be taken this time, his suit crumpling under Hronos grasp, and his unresisting limbs pinned immobile. "Haha! Typical Robot. Just wheels and metal! No soul. Just a tool. Just a tool. You were built, not born. That makes you a tool in the hand of your maker..." "Very well then, tool. You have me now. I cannot fight your hard steel today. Do with me what you will!" he said, defying Hronos with every word.

Hronos - 0 HP! - Fatigued

GM Phil clucked in irritation as the Camera Inferna dissapeared from his view. "Hellqueen?" he asked "that sounds great! I hope I can film her too..." he muttered, trying to crane his neck to get a look inside Changeling's cloth and catch sight of his wonderful artefact once more. He looked around the carnage of the popcorn, hotdogs, and a few broken glasses in the empty theatre. A few more brave souls had peeked a look back inside, and some blue light sirens could be heard in the distance. "Hey, um, can I still play my film?" he asked hopefully.
-
GM El Sierpe steadied himself. For all his talk, he was battered badly. "My men?" he asked. "If you say so. If you think I would be foolish enough to send some men to do my dirty work and lay a trail back to myself. If you think the testimony of dogs of war will count. If they testify. If they are alive to testify..." he grinned ominously at the last statement. He coughed, wiping a bloodied mouth. "And by all means, please escort me back to Mexico to face trail there..." he laughed. "After all, that is where I am said to commit my crimes, is it not? hahaha! yes...yes...I wonder which one of my judge-friends will convict me?" He held out his wrists, still clutching his elaborate carved cane. "Come then, arrest me. Handcuff me. And let us wait for the police...."

Yeah, Psychic Blindsight for 6PP does play out. It's basically adding a new sense (a kind of spatial awareness), saying its mental (1PP for a new sense type), then giving it accurate (2PP), acute (1PP), radius (1PP), and ranged (1PP) fo 6 PP. Thats different from just adding those features to the base mental sense however. But it realy depends what you are looking for. The 6PP Psychic blindsight would allow that kind of "mental spatial awareness" that substitutes for vision. However, if you are wanting to detect other minds, thats a detect power for 3 PP, then adding those attributes to it. From your sheet you are just adding acute, accurate, ranged, radius (5PP) to the base mental sense, which gets you pretty much nothing (sense motive at a range). I have no problem with how you do your kinetic blades. Inevitably what you are doing, which is having two arrays and powers in those arrays that link, is going to come off a little clunky. I guess once a few more PP flow in you may want to make it less so, but thats your call.

Gallia Falling, part 1 - The Death of Kings (IC)
Supercape replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Europe
Rene cursed silently. Somehow, in all the maelstrom of politics, the Prince seemed to be an innocent victim. A bait, a figurehead, a spinning top. It was true, Rene had little love for the aristocracy in priniciple. They were, or had been, part of a tyranny. But even so. He wasn't sure how to address the Prince. A royal term did not seem appropriate some how. But he was at a loss to name the young man. "Sir", he said, addressing the man, "please be not alarmed, but alert. We mean you no harm..." he said, putting his hands on the mans shoulders... -
Im not going right down combat road at this juncture, but 'John Smith' will retaliate with a trip attack. Purely to humiliate Hronos! 1d20+14=18 That is just a hit! As he has both improved trip and improved throw feats... 1d20+7=21 Oppose that with your Dex please! [NB]

GM 'John Smith', if that was his name, which seemed unlikely, evaded Hronos' grasp with contempt. It was not that he was fast, although he was fast, it was not that he strong, although he certainly possessed a healthy measure of that too. It was that he simply anticipated the attack, and side stepped in an extremely efficient and effective manner. It was not precisely the move of a martial artist. It was more pragmatic than that. "Robot. I have fought beasts and men for hundreds and thousands of years. I hunted mammoths. I fought wild beasts, and wild men. First with sticks and stones, then with iron, then with gunpowder. I have forgotten more about fighting then you will ever learn..." With that he gave a laugh and shoved Hronos with his fast, efficient manner.

One point regarding the Ranged, Accurate, Acute, Radius Mental Sense. This is just adding accurate, acute, ranged, and radius to the base mental sense, which, according to UP is the ability to sense motive (and detect mental effects on you). In other words, its really not that useful. It wont cover detecting other thinking beings. You may be looking for something like an additional mental sense such as detect thoughts / brains [3PP according to house rules], and then adding those qualities to it. I think the Kinetic Blades are probably best laid out as 3 APs rather than strike with another set of powers all linked to strike (if that was what you were after).

I'm good with this! :approved:

Ok! There are some formatting errors. Could you attend to them? Skills do not need "[]" for the name of the skills, for instance. I am not sure what the first paragraph is doing there...it seems to be a very long summary (we prefer just one or two lines). Take a look at some other sheets for guidance. Feats should have number such as "Dodge focus 9" rather than roman numerals. Maths wise: Attributes miscounted - need 2 more PP for the STR. Skills miscounted - 60R not 52R DOnt need Language skill if she only speaks English. Powers: Portal - you cannot have "easy" feat for any teleport powers with long range only. Disintegration, as per UP, is 5PP/Rank as the drain toughness component has the affects objects extra (+1) too. Dimensional Pocket is something we are very wary of here, as it is an effect which removes a target from play with any degree of fail save. If its only an instant effect then that smooths it over, but I bring this up to forewarn its a power which has, in the past, caused some consternation and will be scrutinised. The "utility" aspect of it is fine, its the "attack" component that can be difficult. I'll let other GMs comment on it, this is a heads up.

Hronos - 1 HP Miss i'm afraid. Post away!

Smith is calling your bluff! Feel free to make intimidate or grapple rolls if you wish! As for diplomacy, he is a fanatic!

GM The man stood up, proudly, and put his face in the robots, studying him. "This city is full of the strange and powerful. And I have seen plenty of their kind. Yes, you are probably mighty and powerful. And yes, you probably could force me to your will. But there is no threat here, Robot. I have faced a thousand beasts. A thousand thousand beasts. This one was no different from the rest. " He loosened his shoulders and cracked his neck. "I have no wish to harm you. But you are not human, and I have no wish to save you from harm, either. Wheels and motors are all very well, but they should know their place, as slaves to human hand" he said, full of calm defiance. "So. Move me by force. If you dare..." he goaded. "And my name is Smith. John Smith...."
-
The man is not really concealing his motives so that will do fine. He isn't lying, for one. He seems genuinely disinterested in Hronos, and the recent Dinosaur. He is remarkably calm about it, in fact. You get the feeling he is not bluffing either. He is proficient in law. The man looks proficient in everything. He is really very confident and experienced - so much so he has no need to brag about it.

You may indeed. However, it is not easy! DC 30 check! Of course, you may research this (taking 20 on roll) if you have access to a library and an hour to pore over arcane tomes. Such a library, may, for instance, be found in Parkhurst. Hey, didn't you say you wanted to ingratiate yourself with Parkhurst. Its almost as if that was designed! (More seriously, not railroading you - up to you what you do! )
