GM "Believe me, I have no intention of shooting anyone but my maker right now!" yelled back the Captain, as he fired another few shots into the stone. "However, my subroutines are controlling my motor responses! Destroy me, I beg of you!" "You dare! Don't you touch him!" yelled Penny, in response, shaken out of her shock. The Grue commander, still trussed up like a fly in a web, spared a cruel laugh at the fortunes of the intruders. "Not so clever now, are you?" he asked, as he reached out into Giain Knight's mind, picking at the synapses telepathically. "I admit, your strength and determination are far more than I could ever have anticipated from the meagre survivors of this worlds. Survivors that I had hoped, one day, to bring into the fold and join worship of my creations. But I will not risk my greatest accomplishment never seeing the light of day...they will complete their mission! hahahahaha!" It was clear that whilst the Grue captain had survived the crash in some form, mutated by his own work, and had even retained his intellect and skill, his mind was quite warped. Split from the Grue, he had come instead to worship his mission, his life's work, and created a cult around it. And now, rather than face defeat, he would unleash his horror! "Minions! Release Pandora! Let the world witness the divine glory of death and plague! and then, Panacea will renew the world after! hahahaha!" Without question, his jibbering and cavorting mutant worshippers scrabbled over to the earthen mound of that Giain Knight had sealed Pandora and Panacea in. With a wail, they set their inhuman strength to ripping apart that very earth and rock, with nails and sinew tougher than any human...

 yeah, thanks for that! Ok, so The Grue Captain is up again! Fearing Giain Knight's powers, he will use a mental paralyse on the earth-manipulator! its a DC 23 will check please! For his move action, he will command the mutant underlings to take a horrible step...to release Pandora!!! Will move on to round 4 once Fox gives Will Save.

GM "Hmmm..yeah, honey...destabilisation...space-time continuum....planet....offline...." nodded Jessica, scribbling down on her note pad. She clicked her fingers once Hronos had finished and brought out a hand-held tape recorder. "Hold on, can you tell me that again?" she asked hopefully, bringing the speaker up to the robot's face. "In any case, I bet your space-time continuthing isn't far. The T-Rex just appeared in the middle of the Park, by the trees. And given the amount of forest it kicked over coming here, and not in the best of moods either, I would say your thingyuum won't be hard to find...just follow the broken wood..." She pointed at the trail of devastation the dinosaur had left, and it was plain that she was not wrong. It had cut out a jagged trail to the centre of a dense crop of trees.

Done. Again, rolling without bruises first! 1d20+8=15, 1d20+8=27, 1d20+8=20 with bruises, that translates to 13, 26, and 19. Against DC 27, that translates to: Bruised and Dazed [Grue 1], Bruised [Grue 2], and Bruised and Dazed [Grue 4] You also have a move action, if yo wish to take it.

GM The young woman looked at the man somewhat incredulously. "Honey, are you for real? I mean what planet do you come from? oh hell, this is Freedom City after all, I guess!" she replied, correcting herself, before bringing out a camera from her handbag. "What a scoop though! The name is Jagger. Jessica Jagger. As in, that's me. I'm a reporter for the Daily Word. I thought my day was made when I saw that T-Rex. Well, until I realised I was going to be its lunch. But now, it gets even better, I get some alien robot to interview!" She took a few snaps of Hronos for good measure. "Oh yeah, well that was a Tyrannasaurus Rex. Big predator dinosaur. Big news, on account of it being extinct for a million years or so. Don't ask me how long exactly, I'm not a geologist. But a long time, honey. It shouldn't be walking around Liberty Park. Hell, it shouldn't be walking around anywhere!"

GM "Quick get them out" yelled the android Captain. "I can't control myself! zzrrk zrrrk I am on automated programming that zzzrk zzrk exterminate all alien life forms zzrk zzrk you must destroy me!!!" "Nooo!" yelled Penny, tears running down her face at the thought of her 'father' being destroyed. Yet, even as she yelled defiance, the android wheeled his rifle around to her. "zzzrk zzzrk....target invalid....Grue....zzzrk zzzzrk....." Penny stood deathly still as the realisation set in. The Rifle twitched a few degrees, to point at Scraps. "Noooo! Get out of the waaaay!" yelled the android Captain, even as he pressed the trigger, and a beam of bright energy slammed flat into Scraps' chest, sending him flying out of the main chamber, smoke and ozone streaming from his chest....

GM The young woman - in her mid twenties and dressed in a city power suit, complete with thick rimmed glasses and 80's jacket, jumped when Hronos landed by her. "No! No! Please! Don't hurt me!" she yelled, putting her hands up and head to one side as the robot started to speak. "Oh? is that all?" she said after he had explained the situation. She brushed her messed up hair back, and straightened her jacket. "I'm sure I can help. As long as no more freakin' dinosaurs try to eat me!" she said, hand on hip and full of attitude.

Meaning glow is up! [You may if so inclined make knowledge [civics] rolls to make pithy comebacks to Towers' lawyer, but its for fluff purposes and to look cool only! ]
-
GM Quick as a flash - almost as quick as his souped up employer - the lawyer shouted out to everyone. "That wasn't Mr. Towers. It was an imposter. We will all testify to that. You cannot prove my client, Mr. Towers, was here. You have no evidence..." he said, with a self-satisfied grin on his smug face. Mr. Towers himself, for it was him, despite his lawyers protestations, decided to heed his lawyers advice. If they couldn't catch him, they couldn't prove, beyond doubt, it was him. Spying a men's clothing store "Sparks and Mencer", he dashed in, almost to quickly for the two heroines to follow...

Azuth - question about the changing rooms - its ok to clip on your devices but changing costume too would take longer! GM As the mighty Hronos propelled himself skywards, carrying the huge beast in his arms, he felt a tug, as if something was pulling the creature back...and not just in the conventional three dimensions. The further upwards he flew, the greater the tension became, like an elastic band stretching, stretching, until... snap! With a disorientating rend in time and space, the creature was gone. For the briefest of instants, Hronos felt himself back in Prehistoric earth, with endless humid jungles, ptredocactyls flying overhead, and giant slow megafauna pondering through the forests. And then, with another snap, he was back in Freedom city, Liberty park...

GM The whole floor of the High Steaks trembled from the impact, with drinks, food, and most noticeably, gambling chips flying through the air and raining down in a cascade. The shockwave was enough to throw people into the air and onto their rear, Wessex included. He landed flat on his behind, still holding his vodka martini cocktail glass, into which a golden chip fell with an elegant splosh, much to his delight. The woman vampire got up and made towards Wessex, who was still sweating and oblivious, revelling in the action. Her male counterpart got up and spun on his heel, thrashing a backhanded fist at Revenant...
-
Round 2 Wessex 19 - Not acting! 17 - Revenant - 3 HP - Unharmed 13 - Security Guards - Tripped 7 - Vampirres [2] - Unharmed
-
And for the Vampires Action, one will get up and move to Wessex The other will get up and throw a punch at Revenant! 1d20+8=19 which is a miss!
-
Actually good news, its a DC 20 Reflex Save (its based off your Strength bonus, not your Super Strength Bonus!) Im going to say all the general bystanders get tripped - including Wessex and the Security Guards (I cant really be bothered to do all the rolls). The vampires get a chance however...1d20+5=17, 1d20+5=24 and one makes it. They have higher Strength, a bonus of +6, so their resistance rolls are: 1d20+6=19, 1d20+6=9 so, they both get tripped!

Lord Steam sat back. It was becoming clearer. Did this woman wish to match wits with him? It would be something he would enjoy, of course. But the fact that he was floating miles above the ground in a position of distinct disadvantage was not something he savoured. It appeared she had outmanuevered him, by playing to his curiousity. He noticed the sign, his attention focussed on her, but nothing else. He was aware of the sweat on his palm, as he tapped his cane. He was aware of his pistol, tucked away in his waistcoat. He was aware that this woman had just turned into a gas, and that neither weapon would be likely to harm her in such a magnificent form. Outplayed...but not yet beaten...she is vain! "I doubt Irene Adler was so charming or handsome!" he said, waving his hand and giving her a sideways stare of admiration. "Or could have achieved so much! you are positively disarming, dear lady!"
-
1d20+14=30 Its a tough old bird! Grapple may be another issue however! Its Grapple Bonus is +12 + 9 + 8 = +29 And it rolls 1d20 + 29=36 not well! T Rex is bound and helpless in the grapple. Move Action?

Gallia Falling, part 1 - The Death of Kings (IC)
Supercape replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Europe
Rene cracked his knuckles. He had been impressed and relieved at Constance' masterful handling of the guards. The last thing he wanted was a fight on his hands - firstly for the danger it would pose, and secondly for the innocent blood that might be spilled, even in the name of France. No man should die for his country, even if he professed the will to do so. He slipped along the cobblestones and masonry to the temple, trying to keep silent but fast - but yet move in a way that was inconspicuous. A difficult juggling act, but one aided by the light precipitation and the night. He did not look up, fearful of the towers imposing shadow. Fearful, perhaps, of what he might find there. At the back of his mind, he wondered about the other Gallia spirit the Countess had mentioned. He hoped things would not become more complicated than they already were... "Quickly, to the cell....I know not the way..." he hissed at Constance, taking her by the waist and guiding her forward. -
GM The poor beast walked, or rather lunged straight into the mysterious power of Hnoros, and wobbled from side to side for a moment. The purple energy frizzled and danced as it evaporated in a bloom. Perhaps it was the mass, the power, and the speed of the creature. Perhaps... Perhaps it was something else? The creature looked more befuddled than ever, lunging left then right like a drunk, before gazing once more at Hnoros, almost cross eyed, and lunging, almost like a fall, at him. The jaws were clumsy, from rage and disorientation. The T-Rex seemed, if anything, scared and confused but its current situation. The sun was in the wrong position, and the landscape was steel and noise like nothing it had ever experienced.
-
indeed it does (Defence +6 as per COre rule book!) However Reflex save is 1d20+12=26 so it is still up and running. For its attack - and you are no longer flat footed, it will try to grab you with its mouth! 1d20+12=17 which is a miss! Round 2 34 - Hnoros - Unharmed - 2 HP 17 - T Rex - Unharmed
-
Round 1 34 - Hnoros - Unharmed - 2 HP 17 - T Rex - Unharmed Take it away!
-
Initiative rolls then! 1d20+1=18 for T Rex
