I have somewhat lost this thread, sorry - so lets wrap this up! Starlight is up! Round 4 32 Catalyst - 3 HP - Bruised x3 9 Siphon - 4 HP - Unharmed 8 Starlight = 1 HP, Bruised, Staggered, Dazed (until 6) 6 Erasmus Steel - Fatigued 6 Tanks [1 Disabled, 2 Functional, Guns Snared]

Well lets say it is just under a mile away 4000 feet. Van would be faster but it the ground is really bad for driving on fast. In the Van, lets say a minute with every 5 points of DC over 10 on driving check cutting a round off that. Alternatively, go hell for leather over broken rail track, and damage the van (bust its wheels and axis, so it can only crawl thereafter) to get there in half the time. By foot, Catalyst moves 200 foot a round with two move actions. She can move all out for 14 rounds at 400 feet which is enough to reach Patient Zero in ten rounds. Extra effort will cut that down further of course but not worth it really!

1d20+4=21 Boot in Jennifers ass! I was going to say she was flat footed too, but its a hit any way! DC 17 Toughness save!

GM Jennifer and Kristen could almost swear the thugs eyes crossed slightly at the barrage of scientific information that hit him. "...uhh....." came the rumbling slow and drawn out response. He stamped his foot in frustration and lashed out at the two girls. "Look I don't know what you are razzafrazzin talkin' about! Da boss ain't mixing mak-na-nah roots with no erectile decay...err...he got a doctor for that...he mixes out Whix and Max just like the ...hold on...are you with Jackson...what..." he stumbled, confused by his own ramblings. "You are schnizzlin' my melon!" he said, talking in made up street slang. His eyes uncrossed slightly, and his face started to explode with rage, all popping veins and steaming ears. "I don't care how old you are, I'm gonna kick your ass just like Jacksons!" he yelled, aiming a heavy boot at Jennifers behind...

He cant possibly beat that!

GM The sound of Gabriel slammed into the captain, kicking up dust and rags. The Grue scientist seemed to be made of horribly stern stuff. His flesh bubbled and bruised, black and purple, but he seemed almost oblivious to the punishment his body was taking. "I was a genius amongst the Grue centuries ago, and I have had decades to perfect my art. To use the changes that Pandora inflicted on sinew and bone...weakness is a thing of the past!" he laughed in the face of the onslaught. And his mania was apparently not entirely delusional, for as warped as his mind was - and warped it was - his body did not so much have the endurance of an bull, but a whole herd of them.
-
OK! So after the break, I may be screwing up here (always a little hard picking it up) so feel free to pick me up on any errors! Gabriel - 3 HP - Bruised The -4 to ranged attack for Gabs wont apply as you are flying pretty much above him. Attack roll of 26 with autofire adds +3 to the base DC, making it a DC 30 Toughness save. 1d20+15=27 So, a bruise for the Grue Captain. Fleur is up!
-
Young Britania - OHP! Chains gone - back to the future! ('arf arf) How you want me to cut scene? pressing on and throwing stuff at you or do you have a plan?
-
Welcome back! Query on Gab's last action. I made him dazed from previous attack? which would mean he could not do above attack unless HP spending?

Discussed in refcave and yes, Tremorsense was advocated as the answer. Thanks for changing! Accordingly, :approved:

Ok. I'll be honest, as I see it you are buying something which has a huge amount of utility for 1 PP - more utility than tremorsense does for 2PP. This is my concern, and it is shared on ATT. I'll post this up on the refcave for due consideration. Supersenses are messy, and Ranged tactile is a raw nerve on ATT. Sorry for the delay.

GM "Roger Roger!" came the reply over the somewhat distorted airwaves. A police van pulled up outside a mere fifteen minutes later. It had been a little difficult to mobilise, as many local cops where mopping up the chaos of the outbreak that had fortunately not spread far. Police cars did not travel well on the broken rail track and refuse of the abandoned depot. As the police helped Catalyst tie up and process the SHADOW agents a call came through on the police radio. "Patient Zero sighted! Positive ID! Request for Backup!....Police opening fire..." came the call, before a pregnant second of radio static. "He's not going down! Police down! Police down! Calling for Backup! All units near Station 66! Officer down!!!"

Synth moved amongst the crowd in an unobtrusive way. The months were getting colder, and although she barely felt the chill, she dressed for it, in a long waistcoat, and typically bland and unflattering clothes. For all her flawless beauty, she had absolutely no sense of style. And little desire to acquire it. The observant would notice how she would stay deathly still at some points, move quietly and quickly, and no more than glance at the text accompanying the exhibits. Synth could move, think, and read much faster than her purely biological counterparts. But she liked to think, and stay thoughtful. The world was still new to her, with so much to absorb, and ponder. History was a fascinating insight into the human race. A race she felt so much kinship to, but new she was not quite kin.

TK, at your discretion, feel free to give Rene some ailment, physical (or possibly mental) from the shock (As a complication). His old body can't take it! I fluffed him having a minor heart attack! ;)
-
Rene visibly gasped at the painting, and took a few steps back. His aged body seized up, and for a moment he thought he was having a heart attack. Despite his venerable appearance, and his even more impressive true age, he had a healthy vigour. And yet at the sight of the woman he felt his chest give way to a cold pain. "Excuse me..I...I....must sit down..." he coughed, overcome with shock. He stumbled into a chair, his face waxy pale and his breathing labour. "The Countess of Domremy..." he murmured "...It has been...so long..." he whispered, hoarse as his mind floated back to his first encounter with her* centuries ago when he had been a young man, no, not even that. A teenager, by today's standards. *Spoilers!

Gallia Falling, part 1 - The Death of Kings (IC)
Supercape replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Europe
Rene looked aghast at the suggestion. "But...what of liberty...what has she done? what is so insidious about Gallia? I..." He stopped, considering the effect the Countess had had on him. Dammit...that she still had on him. "Please. I am no stranger to forces mysterious and arcane. I have read, I have studied, and, in some cases, I have felt, the spirits and the dreams that bind the worlds beyond. Do not grant me complete ignorance. But yet, I am still a blind man stretching out in the dark..." He was pleading with her now, his heart twisted by the events and the tides of power. "What is Gallia? What is the Countess? What...what have I gotten myself into?" -
Daisuke Hayashi (PL7 Villain, Tier 2)
Supercape replied to horngeek's topic in Non-Player Characters
As its an NPC, Equipment and Minions can be pretty much as plot dictates! but no harm as having them in the sheet as a guide! In any case... :approved: -
My question would then be why not buy it as Tremorsense? according to house rules, and UP, that would be 2 PP (not 3PP as per UP pre-errata, and not 1PP as its an additional sense and then add range). That would cost you an additional PP (to squeeze from somewhere else).

Double posting IC? (Also, could you throw up an OOC thread?)

As I said, technically its legal. Of note, the errate of UP gives Tremorsense as 2 PP, built as an additional tactile sense type (1PP) which has built in acute, accurate, and radius, and then has ranged for an additional 1PP. My concern is not about technically if its "legal" according to our house rules. I am saying ranged on tactile has been a cause for concern... Such as here and here. Whilst these are not canon, and of course we house rule anyway, I hope you grasp the gist of the concerns. The implication here is that Ranged Tactile senses need to pay a premium, and this is a view I share. Tactile senses are not blocked by concealment (ever), are rarely if ever dazzled, and slipping in 1 PP to get a sense that is acute, ranged, accurate, and radius is extremely, worryingly cheap even if its legal. To illustrate, compare: Tremorsense for 2 PP - A Ranged, Acute, Accurate, Radius power that will not be able to sense flying enemies. Just adding ranged to Tactile base for 1 PP - A Ranged, Acute, Accurate, Radius power that will. Hence my concern, I hope you understand. Of course, if your understanding of exactly what the telekenetic web sense does is suitably limited, then my concerns will be ablated! NB: Fix on telepathy looks good. Feedback flaw is going to be very interesting, like it!

GM Dr. Wessex scampered back to the tables in an almost simian style, sweat pouring off him and arteries beating a rapid tempo. "Hurrah! What an evening! Now to win my money back! Gosh this is exciting!" "Uh huh Miss...you can explain that to the cops. We just saw you pick up one of our patrons and carry him from the tables. That's assault that is...umm...aggravated assault...yeah...or something like that. Anyway's it's not right. We got our patrons to consider, and we don't like them being taken away from the table. " The two vampires seemed quite amused at Revenant's interaction with security. "Don't mind us" the man whispered to us. "We'll just ripen up the good Doctor for the master...."
