GM The Man in orange was heading directly south-west, towards the river, along the straight road. Horns honked, cell phones clicked, and people ran or stared. Sometimes both. The Man wasn't as fast as Golden Star, but he was determined to make the chase as difficult as possible. ZAM! Another Golden Beam lanced across the air, slicing across a skyscraper. This time, the Sky Scraper was not at risk of collapse - although there were screams from missing windows and walls, and no doubt a chilly winter air wafted through the massive holed in a high level. More problematic was the white powder that fell from the skies. No, it was not drugs (as far as Golden Star could tell), but plastic! FAKE PLASTIC SNOW! Not a threat to Golden Star, except for the fact it blew straight into his face, into his eyes, into his mouth. It filled the air like a blizzard. He could barely see a thing!

OK so the MiO makes a move action to get 2K away (2 Puffs), and fires a transmutation beam to cause more chaos! (as per IC)

Captain Cosmos Buddy floated down, in full view of everyone, making sure the lights him in in a majestic way. One thing about TV - it taught you how to use lighting. "Bear Knuckle. You are looking well for a man of your age," he started, hands on hips, cape flowing. Strong as an ox and eighty years of fight experience... he won't be easy, not by a long shot. Buddy knew how to fight, but he knew he was not a fighter, at least not at the level of someone really skilled. Eighty years brawling would give this villain an almost unaparalleled ability to fight. He could only hope that Bear Knuckle did not have strength to match his own. "What are you seeking to prove here? You have your audience, you have your podium, you have your stand. The stage is yours. You have the worlds attention, and mine. And all shall judge you. Threatening a girls life? Now is your opportunity to justify your actions, if you can." He paused. "Can you?" he asked, voice rumbling.

Activating Hyperdimensional form from his array. He should have enough concentration to take 1 on any rolls to maintain it (DC 16,, Concentration +15) if he gets stunned or dazed. Taking 10 on notice to quickly sweep the scene at the park (if needed) (21 result) Also taking 10 on any needed (if any) knowledge rolls. 26 for Know (Current Events) if needed (I suspect not but just in case).

Gamma Buzz "Hey! We were at gym class! Thats something I am actually good at! I mean..." his eyes shifted left and right to his class mates. "Obviously I am good at everything, but gym I am properly good at, rather than just pretend good at!" He coughed a puff or radioactive lung air into his fist, and then looked around at the strong hold. "And what's with the dissapearing act? And compat? And power? And rocket. Oooh! A Rocket sounds cool! Fancy sitting on one of those as it flies through the skies? Can we win that?" "Wait..." he added. "Combat? As in real combat, not just danger room? I mean, I am completely brave and bold. But perhaps we could do pretend combat instead, so we don't get hurt?" He hoped his classmates didn't realise that he wasn't quite a bold and brave as he proclaimed. But a Rocket? That did sound cool!

Captain Comsos And so, into the blue and white Captain Cosmos went! He took a moment to close his eyes and take a deep breath in, acknowledging the infinite versions of Buddy Brand out there in the infinite Multiverse, from which he drew his trans-dimensional power. Then, he opened the window of the dressing room and swooped out in the city air. His cape trailing behind him, he flew straight to Liberty Park. Not far. He would get there first, the TV crew had to mobilise, which would be quick, but not instant. Captain Cosmos was not the faster cape in the air, not by a long shot, but he was as fast a sports car at full throttle, and he could fly in a straight line. Fast enough. As he approached the Park, he drew on his power. Hyperdimensional. Strengthening his three dimensional form, making it stronger. Of all his powers, this one put the least strain on his mind, but he did not change his dimensions lightly. Psychosis would eventually set in. But he had a feeling that the boasting villain on the phone would need all his resources.

Captain Cosmos "Heroes? Yes, I know some." But which ones? How soon? Captain Comsos was best placed. "Dont worry about that, senator. I can pull the word out. And don't worry about paying them. Any hero worth their salt wont accept payment... this terrorist wont stop with your daughter, I bet. He's a menace to society." He turned to the crew. "Guys, we need to wrap this. Get out a mobile crew to Liberty Park. Time to get this live..." It was a bold move for the TV company, but it was also the logicla one. TV coverage of a super-brawl over a young girls life would beat any Brand Report. "Senator, I suggest you go down to the park too... maybe you can persuade this villain to mend his ways." A cheesy line, but it maybe it was true. And the News just loved the human angle. Now all he needed to do was get to his Dressing room and put on the blue and white costume of Captain Cosmos!

GM "Whatever you desire," replied Professor Armitage. "No... no that's not quite true. I am not a genie, granting wishes. Not my heritage. But I am a moderately wealthy man, so any reasonable fee I can pay. Or, if you would prefer, I have a large number of antiquities of arcane interest that I trade in. Teaching history and occultism was not well paid, lamentably." "My dealings in the world of occult art are, some would say, lacking scruples. I confess I have made mistakes. I would like to say I have learned from them. This, I daresay, is true. But nevertheless the wrong objects fall into the wrong hands. Sometimes, I have to resort to skullduggery to avoid disaster. I take no joy in twisting the law, but compared to the havoc of empowered items falling into crooked hands, I will resort to a bit of bending. Sometimes more than bending." "I have dealt with Golden African Zombies, with Fey Puzzle Boxes, with Magical Sheet Music. I even had the vile Cantos Devil Stick in my hands at one point. I heard it was stolen from the British Museum a few months ago. That, sir, is something that troubles me greatly." He crossed his fingers. "But not as much as these curses! Someone is out for Vengeance, I wager. This, history tells us, is the root emotion behind curses. Vengeance. But who? what? This must be determined, less madness and chaos envelop us!" He sat back again. "May I speak in confidence?"

The Antibodies will respond with some sonic blasts! 23 and 7 Meaning one of them hits, and a DC 23 Toughness Save And Multi-Girl is up again Duke, Summer and duplicate are all at the waters edge
-
GM By the water Quite the water it was, a lurid mixure of vivid colours, more like a painters palate, a mix of oils, than water, although water it was. The surface was calm but for an intricate riples that set off a singing, ringing melody. "My goodness!" exclaimed the Duke. "This really is the world of music, eh? And I have to confess, much as I am a music lover its really getting on breasts. I dont think I can bear listening to it much longer. What a cacophony! I will have to listen to death metal for three weeks solid when I get back. Errr... we are going to get back, aren't we?" Meanwhile... "Go get them, the little bastards!" shouted the Leprachaun with encouragement at Bernadette. She missed her swipes, for the antibodies were swift and drancing. And also lacking any imagination. In an almost predictable manner, moving to their own time signature in faultless rhythmn, they trumpted sonic blasts at Bernadette! "Brrrrr-AWWWWW!" came one trumpet blast. Bernadettes ears may have been ringing, but she could feel that in her bones! A deadly sonic vibration!

Sure is! Meaning Multi Girl is up!

Gamma Buzz "Hi Vicki, I am Baz. Baltazar Botez. Or Gamma Buzz. Or the Cockroach Kid!" said Baltazar, with a wink. He felt sick, but managed to keep the vomit in his iron stomach. New people usually freaked out and ran, or grabbed some peticide to spray on him. But Claremont? Not so much. He was almost getting used to people not screaming when they saw him. There was only the occasional slack jaw. Beginnings were sensitive times. "How you like Claremont, eh? More fun than a cloud of harmless yet lethal radioactive smoke, eh? It could do with a bit more green, but otherwise its swell, right?" "And the science classes are only moderately boring, too!" he added, by way of encouragement.

GM "Hmmm. Tea, please," asked the Prof, without being asked. He sat on the empty chair and straightened his waistcoat. "Likewise, Mr Daye? Or is it Blackstaff? Or Mr. Staff? Forgive the asking, I would like to be clear and polite about the matter." Professor Armitage had a deep, rumbling voice, at odds with his frame. A pleasant yet commanding voice, not rude, not arrogant, just commanding. It was a voice that insipired confidence in ability. He crossed a leg and stroked his beard. "I think I understand your nature and your business. Quite the sorcerer, I would guess. Myself, I have no such talent. One cannot study the ocuct for two score years without learning some arcane rituals, and yet that is my absolute limit. No fireballs from my fingertips, I can assure you. I am no threat, although given the nature of my business I sometimes wish I could." "But that is another matter. I wish to hire you, or, if you do not take cash or other barter, I would appeal to your good nature. I often deal with arcane artifacts, although many merely are dressed by mythology and thus claim to be eldritch. I have noticed an increasing number... a vastly increasing number, have some curse or another attatched to them. Madness, possession, that sort of thing. Concerning, is it not?"

Captain Cosmos "Are you alright, Mr. Fredickson?" asked Buddy, leaning in, concerned. He knew the answer, of course. Anyone with half an eye and half a heart knew the answer. Mr Fredickson was not ok. Even if the concern on his face wasn't enough, a man like Philip Fredickson was not one to cut out an oppurtunity to espouse his views on television. It must be serious. Beyond serious. Buddy turned to the camera and improvised a monologue. "Well folks, we need to cut to break right now. But never fear, we shall be back soon!" Soon could mean a minute or week! Assured the break to commercials had happened, Buddy swung back to Philip. "Seriously, are you alright? Do you need help?" Captain Cosmos might help, even if Buddy Brand can't!

Into the bottom of the misteltoe he goes! I'm playing fast and loose with chase rules but going to call out distances in units of 1000' (a Speed 5 charater will make 2K in a move action), and puff is the amount of accelerated movement rounds the character has taken. Man in Orange = 8k away, 2 puff (As he is moving all out) Golden Star is up! In a 20' deep pit of mistletoe, facing collapsing masonry and falling cars! With your super strength you can easily jump out of the pit with a move action.
-
Aha! Good point
-
Most people also have links in their signature (I think I have!)
-
Multiple things will be happening as per IC post to start off, a relatively mild DC 10 Reflex save to avoid a relatively mild fall into the mistletoe (and more importantly the concrete below) - have a DC 16 Toughness save (and feel free to narrate lots of scratches from mistletoe if you wish. Or if you want a new complication: Allergy to mistletoe, go for it ) The falling cars and people are another matter, depends how you deal with it! You can make an INT DC 15 roll (untrained) to make a judgement on structural integrity and how to prop up the building.
-
GM The Man in Orange had been hard at work with crazy golden beams of transmutation. And giggles. Yes, he giggled at his work! He was only a couple of dozen feet away when he started super speeding at full speed. Almost within grasp! But! As soon as Golden Star stepped through the smashed remains of the silver door he stepped into a pit of mistletoe! The fiendish fiend has decided to transmute the concrete below him into mistletoe! The pit of festive foilage threated to plummet Golden Boy into the thorny mess! And worse! Random transmutation beams had sliced through the levels of the multi-story car pack. What was once concrete was now falling misteltoe! And that was clearly not good for structural integrity. Cars slid, civilians screamed, and vehicles now threatened to fall from the crazy carnage overhead!
-
Ok go and post that and ill respond with more zany super speed chase and transmutation fun!
-
STAR - SMASH! Silver is fairly soft metal so Ill give it a 6 toughness base. And then its fairly thin, so a toughness of 5. Golden Star will have a base DC 26 attack for the wall with his normal enhanced stregth - its a standard action to do so. The Wall will save at 1d20+5. Injured = Injured, Disabled = a hold to get through, Dying = Smashed to smithereens and you can drive a truck through it. Alternatively (core rules p167) take a full round object to break it. This allows applying super strength (in this case you can shift both arrays to super strength for this round) for an additional +6 effect and a DC 32 attack. The Walls save will be autimatic 5+toughness (10) which is enough to rip the walls to shreds "Dying".

GM The man in orange was whizzing along, almost a blur. In a matter of seconds he was at the entrance to the car park. Like a bolt of lightning, he slammed through the revolving door causing it to spin like a fan on overdrive. He paused one second, firing off a golden beam and turning the door, the glass, the walls to SOLID SILVER! It cost him time, but he had the head start. Golden Star was only a second or two behind when he was met with the wall of solid silver. Some pedestrians gasped at the sight. A few more enterprising ones started chipping away, with recently purchased DIY gifts for Dad, and, in one act of desperation, with her nail file. Maybe Golden Star was faster, but how was he to get through the wall of silver? Every second... and the man in orange would be hundreds of feet away!
-
That does make him slightly faster but as you say, slightly delayed. Lets activate chase mode! Firstly, Spellfinger is moving all-out, which makes it essentially a full round action at x2 speed, but can only sustain for CON score. You can keep pace without moving all out, but to catch up will need you to move all-out too. And... stuff may happen during the chase!
