Multiple things will be happening as per IC post to start off, a relatively mild DC 10 Reflex save to avoid a relatively mild fall into the mistletoe (and more importantly the concrete below) - have a DC 16 Toughness save (and feel free to narrate lots of scratches from mistletoe if you wish. Or if you want a new complication: Allergy to mistletoe, go for it ) The falling cars and people are another matter, depends how you deal with it! You can make an INT DC 15 roll (untrained) to make a judgement on structural integrity and how to prop up the building.

GM The Man in Orange had been hard at work with crazy golden beams of transmutation. And giggles. Yes, he giggled at his work! He was only a couple of dozen feet away when he started super speeding at full speed. Almost within grasp! But! As soon as Golden Star stepped through the smashed remains of the silver door he stepped into a pit of mistletoe! The fiendish fiend has decided to transmute the concrete below him into mistletoe! The pit of festive foilage threated to plummet Golden Boy into the thorny mess! And worse! Random transmutation beams had sliced through the levels of the multi-story car pack. What was once concrete was now falling misteltoe! And that was clearly not good for structural integrity. Cars slid, civilians screamed, and vehicles now threatened to fall from the crazy carnage overhead!

Ok go and post that and ill respond with more zany super speed chase and transmutation fun!

STAR - SMASH! Silver is fairly soft metal so Ill give it a 6 toughness base. And then its fairly thin, so a toughness of 5. Golden Star will have a base DC 26 attack for the wall with his normal enhanced stregth - its a standard action to do so. The Wall will save at 1d20+5. Injured = Injured, Disabled = a hold to get through, Dying = Smashed to smithereens and you can drive a truck through it. Alternatively (core rules p167) take a full round object to break it. This allows applying super strength (in this case you can shift both arrays to super strength for this round) for an additional +6 effect and a DC 32 attack. The Walls save will be autimatic 5+toughness (10) which is enough to rip the walls to shreds "Dying".

GM The man in orange was whizzing along, almost a blur. In a matter of seconds he was at the entrance to the car park. Like a bolt of lightning, he slammed through the revolving door causing it to spin like a fan on overdrive. He paused one second, firing off a golden beam and turning the door, the glass, the walls to SOLID SILVER! It cost him time, but he had the head start. Golden Star was only a second or two behind when he was met with the wall of solid silver. Some pedestrians gasped at the sight. A few more enterprising ones started chipping away, with recently purchased DIY gifts for Dad, and, in one act of desperation, with her nail file. Maybe Golden Star was faster, but how was he to get through the wall of silver? Every second... and the man in orange would be hundreds of feet away!
-
That does make him slightly faster but as you say, slightly delayed. Lets activate chase mode! Firstly, Spellfinger is moving all-out, which makes it essentially a full round action at x2 speed, but can only sustain for CON score. You can keep pace without moving all out, but to catch up will need you to move all-out too. And... stuff may happen during the chase!

GM "Pfah! Details, details! Always with the details. Economics this, economics that, blah blah blah. Why don't you take that Christmas Tree sized stick out from your backside and appreciate a little joy!" Indeed, some peoples' greed exceeded their fear, and those people were trying to gather up as much precious metal as possible. It was a depresisngly large number. "Tralalala-lalalalaaaa" sang the man. "'Tis the season to be Greedy, tra-la-la-la-la lalalalaaaaa" He hurtled down some escalators to the lowest level of the mall, skating along the surface with golden light footsteps, as fast as a ferrari. Making for, of all things, the car park! "I've got the Midas touch, oooh yeah, the Midas touch baby!" he continued. "A few happy customers are going to get a vehicular upgrade, chum! OK, so maybe you cant actually drive a solid gold car, but I cant see anyone complaining, can you?"

Gamma Buzz "Wheeeee! Its Gamma Buzz, Baby!" screamed Baltazar with a hop, a skip, and a jump! A double backflip through the Danger Room, five dozen feet long, landing on two sprawls legs and a hand to the floor, in the manner that some purely hypothetical Russian secret agent superhero martial artist would do. "You look as hard as rock!" he said to Granite, the hologram visibly made of rock and more rock and nothing else. "Well, get a taste of Gamma, baby! You will be pure one hundred percent uranium! The radioactive kind, not the depleted kind you find in shells. Or wait, is that still reactive? do they still use it? Or do they use it but deny it? Like the kids at shcool used to deny using glue on their noses? I can't remember. Anyway, its probably not relevant, is it? What do you know, anyway? You are just a big rock, probably have rock for brains. No wait, you arent event a rock are you, just a simulation of a rock. Anyway, eat Gamma, baby!" Glowing a lurid green, the Cockroach Kid spun and slammed a fist straight at Granite...

GM Dec 5th, Blackstaff Investigations Ring-a-ding-dong! A man at the door of Blackstaff Investigations pressed the doorbell with an elegant thing finger. He was a slender man, maybe in his sixties or early seventies. His hair and trimmed beard were white. He looked in good health for a man of his years, his spine was straight and his complexion healthy. He wore a good cut of tweed jacket and an equally bespoke waistcoat, complete with red bow tie. He had, in essence, the look of a professor. "Armitage," he said, by way of introduction. "Professor Alfred Armitage." A professor by image, a professor in fact. His name was not famous, at least not to the general public. But Blackstaff new of him; Emeritus Professor of Antiquities at Freedom City University, sort of retired, but still active. A wealthy man who knew all there was to know about the occult, archeology, and philosophy. He was a genius by any measure, his knowledge of the strange and mysterious past unparalleled in depth and breath. A man of his stature of course attracted rumours of sorcery and skullduggery, but there was, to Blackstaff's knowledge, no evidence of such. He was known to have a stern and unforgiving nature, a man with no time for fools. He was neither cruel, not kind - here was a man who had thrown his impressive intellect into decades of absorbing knowledge.

GM "Golden Star?" laughed the man. Closer up, Michael could see the man was probably in his late twenties or thereabouts. Blonde, olive skinned, with chiselled cheekbones. Handsome, and the golden fizz of energy around him and his wreath only added to his impression. "Bah! Spoiling Christmas! Isn't this the season to give to the needy? Pow! Zam! Abracadbra!" Three more golden beams turned various objects into precious metals. "But I'm not one to monologue. I'm the hero, you are the villain. I'm not going to stop, and you aren't going to stop me! Wheeee!" And he was off! Running on fizzing gold boots with the speed of a sports car, golden beams still firing off chaotically. Not so accurate this time; the beams were turning objects not just into gold and silver, but festive ornaments, too! A Child's buggy turned into a christmas tree, complete with screaming child in its brances. A teenagers mobile phone turned into sprig of mistletoe, causing the teenager to panic at the loss of social media. A security guard tried to aim his taser, but it turned into a christmas bauble!

OOC for this This will link into an upcoming thread with Blackstaff (coming very soon!)

GM 5th December Millenial Mall It was right around rush hour, and the mall was packed with Christmas shoppers. Yuletide songs and jingles floated through the air, and it seemed every dozen yards there was a Santa Claus trying to sell something. ZAP! ZAM! ZAP! ZAM! Golden beams streaked across the hall. One hit an ice-cream stall, which exploded into silver coins. Another hit a christmas tree, which showered golden needles across the floor. One whizzed right past Michael Adon's face, and turned a shoppers bag into purest platinum. The shopper let it go with a dull thud, eyes widened before she realised just how potentially rich she was. "ITS CHRISTMAS!" came the yell. A youngish man, dressed in orange and gold, maybe in his twenties, a little on the short side but trim. Around the crown of his head, a wreath of pure shining gold. Even his eyes shone gold. He blew imaginary smoke out of both fingertips, and then started (with said fingertips) firing more golden beams around the mall, turning objects into silver, gold, and platinum. Precious metals for all!

Gamma Buzz "I'm fine, I'm fine. Its only a leg, after all," said Baltazar. His eyes widened when Lawrence popped the leg back into its socket in the blink of an eye. "I mean, I'm really fine now, thanks!" he said, giving his leg a wriggle. "I mean, it dosen't even hurt now! Good as new!" He gave a few jumps, testing the limb. It was, apparently, fully healed. "No kill switch, eh? No problem! Gamma Buzz got this!" he said as the four figures appeared. He cracked his fingers and gave a defiant look. This time, he started glowing green, proper green, like a lantern that glowed green. "Wait... Fire, Earth, Water, and Mist! Thats the four ancient elements, right? I'm no as stupid as I look. I even remembered their names completely accurately. Invented by the ancient Italians. Or somewhere round there..." he added, waving his hand vaguely, intent on giving the impression that such details were completely irrelevant.

Gamma Buzz OK - so this was stick men. This was no work of art. But! It had Gamma Buzz fighting villains! Proper villains, with super powers! And insect super powers, too! It brought a tear to his eye. "Thats fantastic!" he cried, cluthing the book like it was made of gold. "I mean, thank you! Can I keep it? I want to look at it whenever I need motivational Inspirationals!" That was right, wasn't it? Motivational Inspirationals? It sounded right, so it must be right. In any case, it was honest. He could already see himself blasting the Beekeeper with Gamma Blasts! And punching the Ant King with Gamma punches! He knew what he would be dreaming about tonight, and for many nights to come! KPOW! BZZZT! BZZZT!

Gamma Buzz Baz did a backflip. He didn't really like anime, but he sure liked being asked if he liked anime. And he didnt really dislike it either. It was a cartoon, and had loved cartoons. He felt maybe one or two years too old to really love cartoons, but he didn't feel old enough to dislike them. "Why not! Bugs are cool, especially the radioactive ones! At least in the book of Gamma Buzz! Hey, that sounds like a real book! The book of Gamma Buzz! Available at all good bookshops now! I could fill it with lots of cool exploits. Wait! It could be a comic book, even better! The Book of Gamma Buzz, edition 1! Featuring Gamma Buzz! I like it!" He gave a thumbs up to Neko. "Hey, you look like you can draw comic books, am i right?"
-
Gamma Buzz "Hiya!" said Baltazar, as the Neon Spider 'landed' beside him on the ceiling. "I'm Baltaza... whoops, no. This is practice, right? So got to use the hero name. I'm Gamma Buzz! Get in the habit, Baltazar!" He tensed, wondering what to say next. "So I see you can stick to walls, too? Fantastico! Its really cool, right...ouch!" The energy blade sliced into him, right between the cracks in his armour plates. It stung, the shock enough to stop him concentrating and send him spinning to the floor. "Hey, you have green powers too? Wow! Green is the best colour for super-powers, right?" he muttered as he fell, his eyes cartwheeling alongside his body. He landed with a crunch. One of his legs popped out of its socket, at an angle that clearly wasn't right. "Ouch..." he said, again. Louder this time. "Now you will face my amazing Gamma powers!" he said, shaking a defiant but weak fist at Neon Spider-although the rest of his body was a crumpled mess. His body glowed green, then spluttered, the energy fizzing and patchy, until it faded completly. "Amazing, huh?" he whimpered.

17 which I think will daze him (and bruised) Not sure if that means he falls to the floor (from daze or knockback) although that certainly sounds cool, so Ill do it. Not sure how the fall is, but given he is already bruised Ill throw in another toughness if needed 26 which should be enough to escape the fall damage Whilst stunned, I think I can take a free action as a reaction with a concentration roll? [[activating his aura power] 12 Except he cant! Well, lesson learned ( a few ranks in concentration?) Also activating "Pop" complication. One of his legs will pop out of its socket, effectively immobilising him until he pops it back in! Gamma Buzz, Baby!

GM This time, there was no mistaking it. The four Golden Dead moved. Slowly, like a grinding engine built a century ago, belching dust and fumes. Everything about the undead was archiac and decomposing, but for the dusty gold that glinted in the dim light. Uncordinated, glacial, they all went down to one knee, saying not a word, unless you counted the whining of dead air from dead lungs. Thud! Thud-thud-thud! The ship reverberated with the sound of mighty golden fists against rusted crates. Slow, they may have been, but the Golden Dead had the strength of a tank. Each fist ripped open a mighty dent, and in but a half dozen pounds, they had already torn patched holes to the deck below. The only deck below. A twenty foot drop to the very bottom of the ship, and if they penetrated the floor of that, the ship would be scuttled!
-
OK so no disease! CHimera and Luke both have 5 HP Luck is sickened, but not nauseated. Can make a DC 16 Fort save each round The Golden Dead are moving! But not attacking you! Instead, they are pounding the floor with their mighty super strength, carving a ragged hole to the bottom of the ship, and the ocean! Its semi-combat time, although the Golden Dead will not (for now) be attacking you.

Gamma Buzz Baz liked being able to shoot gamma beams from his eyes. But he didn't like being a half-insect. His Antenna made him self-conscious. "Yeah, they pick up tremors..." he said. He couldn't blush anymore, but his cheeks glowed green. "But totally optional, look!" he added, grasping both antenna and pulling them off his head with a slight "pop" sound. He handed them to Michael. "I mean, there you go..." What a damn silly thing to do he thought to himself, cheecks glowing greener. Gotta save face from that fumble! "I guess they would be great for your science class. No wait, that doesnt sound cool. Wait, did I say that out aloud? what I meant to say was glowing green goes great with gold. You could, um, stick them in your lapel or something. That works, right? Totally cool!"
