GM Mindy took a few drunken steps back, her head in a spin. But her angry punk throat could seemingly operate on autopilot. "Down the the flbnjrbdocarcy!" she mumbled. "You tell her, Mandy!" "You bet, Mindy!" screamed Mandy, moving back a few steps to get the right angle... ...drawing in a huge breath...and... "DOWN WITH THE IRISHOCRACY!" She screamed. This was not your regular protest or punk scream. The volume was off the scale, the sound so piercing it could drill a hole in a skull - and it certainly felt like it. It reverberated and echoed, unrelating in its pitch or tone. Several dozen chaotic revellers fell unconscious. Others clutched their heads, or staggered around with eyes that lost focus. The security gaurds who had been trying to weigh up who was the threat, and who would be safe to grapple, fell to their knees, hands on ears, trying to block out the sound. With limited effect, it seemed - it was more like they had trapped the ringing bells within their own skulls..

Ok, so the Mindy will respond with a PUNK ROAR! This is a linked Dazzle 8 (Auditory, Alt Save Fort), and Stun 8 effect in a cone. DC 18 Reflex for the area effect (to half the DC) Then DC 18 Fort (or possibly 14) Save to avoid Dazzled-Hearing, and Stunned/Dazed effect. This effect will strike both Mg and her duplicate, and Mandy for that matter (although she is immune to her sisters powers) The cone will also KO, deafen, stun a large segment of the audience.

Could you throw me two notice checks in anticipation of what is to come!

GM And so, later, just before dawn... ...just outside Freedom City, by the coast. It wasn't quite a shack, but it wasn't quite a house. Some mutant offspring of both, ugly, small, but quite livable in. Sitting on an incline, with a good sea view. Surrounded by trees. It was an eyesore in an area of natural beauty. A cheap car sat outside, just of the almost-road that wound through trees to come to rest at the shack. Grabber Gibbons had insisted on driving, but they left his equally beat up car a couple of hundred feet away, making the journey on foot. "What now? Knock on the door, blow it up with dynamite? Or do you have some fancy golden trick up your sleeve? You gonna kick some nerd ass? Gonna put on some golden gloves?" Grabber didn't have a plan. What he had was two fists and a propensity for greed and violence. But of the two, greed came first. His eyes had been glinting with anticipation ever since Luke showed him the mountains of gold in his hoard.

Those are all hits 23, 19, and 24 for toughness saves. The luck of the oirish is with them. So firstly Mindy is bruised, Mandy is Bruised + Dazed Theb the DUplicate will inflict another bruise on Mandy? Post away! I think you also have a move action if you want to do anything with that.

Gamma Buzz Baltazar jumped up; something he could do very well. With a tongue that drooled with enthusiasm, he took off his earphones and snapped them onto Lawrence's head. "Then take a listen to this! Fresh from the streets! Mexican Jazz rap at its finest!" Well, it was certainly original. Whether you liked it or not was a matter of taste. Mexican Jazz rap was not for everybody. But few would call the tune that the headphones belted out unmusical, or offensive. Mostly, it would be called odd. Music in 15/16 time had that effect on the listener. "Pretty neat, huh? I got more tunes than I have fingers..." He held up his hands - two thumbs, six fingers, and gave a laugh. "Seriously, you get whiff of any happening beats, you let me know. I want to build a great collection for when i DJ!" He gave a little dance - he didn't know how to dance, but he was agile. Particularly when he did a back flip and ended up standing on the ceiling, hanging down, face level with Lawrences. "Ta-daaaa!"

Posted IC so feel free to shrug off the bat. And MG is up again! I think Multi Girl is now down to 1 HP again?

GM "What!" the two punks said in unison, looking from one Bernadette to the other. "Are you, like, twins, or something?" said Mandy. "Or maybe you are twins?" said Mindy. "Like us?" said Mandy. "One each then!" they said, in unison. Bernadette was a second too slow snatching the bat from Mandy. Her duplicate, however, managed to wrestle the bat from Mindy, who screamed "Hey, no fair, bitch!" in response. She swung a clumsy hook at the doube which only compounded her rage. "Say goodby to ya kneecaps!" roared Mindy, doing a semi-elegant twirl and spinning the bat straight across Bernadette's legs. One thing Multi-Girl(s) did notice; both Mindy and Mandy knew how to "Howzat!" roared Mindy in a faux English accent. Mandy shrugged at Bernadette. "Its English, innit. Where punk was born! Howzat, tea and muffins, God bless the queen, the fascist regime!" Mindy and Mandy nodded to each other in their appreciation of musical history. One thing Multi-Girl(s) did notice in the brawl; both girls were much stronger than they looked. Despite their relatively petite frame, they could have competed in a Strong Man competition. And they knew how to handle a bat.

Captain Cosmos Buddy had interviewed enough fanatics to spot a fanatic when he saw one. There was no point trying to reason with him, no point using debate or logic or persuasion. A fanatic was a fanatic, and that was that. What one could do, he had found, was guide them into hanging themselves with their own rope. What did his crew think of him? Would they follow a fanatic? did they think he was one? Of course, Buddy realised, a fanatic could also be right. "The monkeys, eh? Quite cheeky, I imagine. Look, you seem like a man who has seen his fair share of strange things. Goes with experience, I guess. Eldritch writings appearing on your ships hull?" Buddy tried to make himself more relaxed. He swished his cape away and took a friendly posture sitting on one of the bridge chairs. "Now that's something even you don't see every day. I wonder what caused them. Do you have a theory? Perhaps some odd cargo, odd passenger? Maybe you have some clue? Something in this part of the waters? If anyone knows, I think it would be you..." Butter em up, let em slip...

OK! Unfortunately Multi Girl just missed (they have a defence of +8) On a more positive Multi Girl 2 hits! and STR roll of 10 means the bat is in multi girls hand (your usual strike 2, mighty, thrown piece of equipment if you want to use it) We shall have lots of screaming in response, but also some attacks! Mindy the Punk will smash MG1 with her bat ROlling 26 which I imagine hits, and is a Toughness 22 save for MG 1 Wheras Mandy the Punk will punch MG2 with her fist rolling 13 which I imagine is a rotten failure. For the purposes of narration please feel free to punch / shove security guards and bystanders as a narrative free action. I don't think we should get sucked into keeping track of PL 0 -2 members of the crowds - but you may find something interesting or heroic to do with the scenery or the crowd!

Haven Power Level: 9 (180/180) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: +1 Attack/-1 DC, +1 Defence/-1 Toughness In Brief: Computer Hacktavist downloaded into a cluster of nanobots Alternate Identity: Previously; Milo Makino Birthplace: Tokyo Residence: Emerald City Base of Operations: Emerald CIty Occupation: Computer Engineer Affiliations: Computer Hackers around the globe, particularly Japan, Korea. Family: None alive Description: Age: Downloaded aged 37, 1 year operation since downloaded. Gender: Previously Male Ethnicity: Previously half Korean, half American Height: 6’0” Weight: 60Kgs Eyes: Varies, or shining with blue light. Hair: Varies, or none. In his default form, Haven looks like a swam of tiny cubes that are held together by buzzing electric fields, most prominently those that resembled a face. Even in this humanoid form, he prefers wearing super smart designer suits – black cloth, black tie, spotless white shirt. He can rearrange his matter to any shape, including growing extra limbs as required. However, due to his preference for snappy suits he will usually have to keep wearing his suit or disposing of it somehow (complication see below). History: Milo was born in Tokyo but spent most of his life travelling between Japan (where his father was based) and America (where his mother was). Both were computer hackers, and Milo demonstrated the same knack, the same brilliance, and the same rather stiff personality. His mother succumbed to a neurodegenerative disorder when he was aged 14. A year later, Japanese organised crime took vengeance on his father. At the age of 15, young Milo took to the shadow and began working as a computer hacktivist and fraudster. In his thirties, he started to show the same signs of neurodegenative illness as his mother. He took the bold move of stealing cutting edge computer technology and reprogramming it to upload his consciousness. No longer human – and perhaps no longer the same person, the entity known as Haven moved to Emerald City to start again, still determined to fight crime and corruption. Personality & Motivation: Haven has a somewhat stiff, driven, determined personality. He is crisp and to the point, but is well intentioned, seeking to better society and ease suffering. The slow and painful death of his mother drove him to create the “Haven” – a virtual reality that he, and others, can escape to free from the burdens and pains of life. It is also a safe place to hold meetings between various collaborators or enemies. Haven seeks to resolve things efficiently, effectively, and humanely. Powers & Tactics: Havens reprogrammable matter can take a variety of forms; something he uses primarily as a spy aid. He is also able to induce electromagnetic currents; EMP blasts, lightning flashes, and magnetic fields. Most usually, he will fire electric bolts from his weaponised eyes. His HAVEN alt form allows he, and any who wish to join, access to a virtual reality that Haven controls. Participants can leave at any time. Whilst in this network, thought speed is massively sped up and there is access to incredible computer power and data storage. The downside is that those in the network have absolutely no access to their body which is totally paralysed, helpless, and not aware of any sensation (including things like thirst or hunger), meaning they (and Haven himself) is extremely vulnerable. Haven can plug himself into a power source to slowly regenerate wounded components, which he will do if injured in a fight. Typically he prefers not to fight at all, but in a manner similar to his blunt and efficient personality, he has no hesitation in doing so if it is effective. However, he is deeply reticent about maiming of killing. Power Descriptions: Many of Havens electromagnetic field powers are undetectable without super senses, however his most commonly used offensive power – his EM vision, appears as bolts of blue sparking energy rapid fired from his glowing blue eyes. Complications: Suited up: Even though he can change his appearance, Haven has a particular fondness for a real crisp suit and will wear one as default (potentially making him identifiable). Touch me: Havens tactile senses are slightly worse than normal humans. In addition, he feels uncannily smooth to touch; the perceptive will notice this unnatural phenomena when touching him. Those with analytical tactile senses will penetrate his disguises without any issue. Enemies: Cyber criminals and Far east organised crime have plenty of bone to pick with Haven. A possible plot hook and/or complication. Recharge Needed: Haven regularly needs to plug himself into a power source; not just to repair himself, but to maintain his powers or even his basic functions. No transmission: Aside from the effects on his powers (not a complication, a drawback, see powers below), strong magnetic fields will also cause his voice to progressively become static and eventually render him completely mute. Rev "Well that worked pretty good, huh?" said Rev. She sat up, and let her arms slither back onto her shoulders. That done, it was simply a matter of time and effort to repeat the process with her legs. Easy peasy. But dang, she hurt. Grazes, aches, clotted bulletholes, fleshed bruised black and blue. Her left forehead and swollen up as if someone had inserted a lemon under her skin, so bulbous it threatened to close up one eye. Even her jaw ached. Maybe someone stuck the boot into her face once she had passed out. "Fire. Vampires. Sounds like a plan. Now, why dont you tell me what the hell you got yourself into whilst I unhook you from the blood bank. And maybe then we can work out how to live to see the sunrise?" Sunrise... yeah. That worked, right? Vampires exploded in sunlight? Or did they melt?

GM The two punks spun round. "You!" they said in unison, before engaging in a soundbite-driven argument that ping-ponged between the two of them. "Smash the patriachy!"... Bash! A male security guard got a baseball bat between his legs. "No! Smash the oligarchy!"... Bash! the cash registerer exploded with coins as a baseball bat crunched it like a tin can. The girls were strong! and angry! "No! Smash the theocracy!"... Bash! A wooden crucifix on a wall splintered under the tip of a well aimed swing. "No! Smash the technocracy!"... Bash! An amp exploded in sparks as a baseball bat impaled it. the power surge shorted the lights, leaving the whole venue in semi-darkness!" "No! No! No!" screamed the two sisters in unison. "Smash the meritocracy! Cheating by using talent and hard work!" With the socio-political scapegoat finally agreed upon, the two punks screamed and charged at Bernadette, the hated winner of the compitition!

Gamma Buzz "Space Station?" said Baz, hopping from foot to foot with excietement as he repeated himself. He couldn't quite digest it - if his anatomy had allowed a slack jaw it would have been swinging around his chest, complete with excessive drool. Possibly it would have shattered on the floor beneath them. He shook his head and took a pastry. It smelled delicious, it tasted delicious. Baz could eat pretty much anything, from a cockroach nest to a vat of acid. His stomach was made of impervium. But that wasn't to say his palate did appreciate the sweetness, the fluffiness, the wholesome goodness of a pastry. Although cookies were his favourite. Particularly if they had raisins in them. Freedom CIty just gets better and better! And this Harrow fellow isn't bad either! Sure, there was a touch of envy, but this guy was the guy to be around. "What music do you like?" he asked, jumping onto his makeshift bed and fiddling with the i player. Maybe, just maybe, he could impress Lawrence with his encylopedic knowledge of music. At least, in the mind of Baltazar, it was encylopedic. As long as it was made in the last five years. And he listened to it.

GM "Why of couse" said the Duke, with a tiny bow. Bernadette caught the mask of jocularity slip for a moment; the duke was dissapointed. Summer flapped her hands, not sure if she should stay with the Duke or Bernadette. In conclusion, she opted for a poor comprimise, seemingly maintaining a position exactly equidistant from the two. Outside, the drunken, rumbunctious crowd had thinned - and the crowd that had remained was either spectating on, or engaged in, a brawl. The two punk girls - Pinkageddon - with pink in their hair, where screaming, shouting, smashing up instruments, stage equipment and sometimes people, armed with baseball bats. They had been props on the show, but the bats were clearly quite functional and smashing baseballs, or in this case, skulls. "The Duke told us we would win!" screamed Mindy. "We been sticjed up!" shouted Mandy. Mindy and Mandy, the punk girls of Pinkageddon. Bernadette could see that the two of them - despite great efforts to accentuate difference via style, hair, make up, and clothes, were identical twins. And very capable with the baseball bats. Around them was a trail of smashed amps and bleeding spectators. And the two of them were making a beeline for the duke! Out of the corner of her eye, Bernadette could make out the Leprachaun, stroking his orange beard, raiding his orange eyebrows, with a sardonic sneer on his lips as he observered the chaos.

If so, I think that makes 3 greey HP!

You can hear some commotion / brawling out of the DUkes room. Not quite high enough DC to make out details, but it sounds like a fight is brewing on the stage area.

Gamma Buzz "Space Station, wow!" Baz was so surprised he took a step back. What would grandpa Botez say about that? He always dreamed of the stars - at least when he was alive. Taken by cancer when Baz was twelve. He stilled missed the old man, grumpy, whiskey soaked and as kind a man as you could imagine. "I guess the field trips dont go that far" he said, speculating. "What are we talking about? The gleaming streets of Freedom City? of Emerald City? or abroad, even? I always wanted to go to South America. I mean, proper south. Brazil. They always look ready for a good party, huh?" He looked behind Lawrence. The corridor was empty, for now. But still. "Lets get into my room. Its a dump, to be honest. I wasn't exactly clean and tidy even before, y'know. But I'd rather be there than out here. Don't wanna attract to much attention. Even in this building..." He egged Lawrence into his room which was, predictably a dump. A few clothes, a bed, some headphones and a junkyard i player, full of music of every description. Except country and death metal.

Rev Rev shut one eye, put her tongue out, and took careful aim. Her hand creaked as she move it. Joints still cranking from the wet rain. She needed lubricating oil. And she felt her petrol levels low. I'm going to soak in a bath of engine oil after this... But she had to survive this, first. She took a deep breath in. Fire, vampires are vulnerable to fire, right? She sure hoped so. "Hey, Vamp! Suck on this!" she shouted, and let loose. A streak of orange fire erupted from her hand - ignited oil that coursed its way to the undead. Inside, she felt her fuel tanks hit empty. From now on, it was running on fumes - unless the Iron Talon had a few spare petrol tanks somewhere.
-
Just for reference whats Rev's status at the moment? 2 HP? Staggered? Bruised x2? Injured x2? Disabled x2? Fatigued? In any case she is going to try - if she can, to take a full round to aim at the Vamp, and then set him alight! Flamethrowa: 1d20+9 16 with an additional +2 from the aim (making 18), and maybe flat footed? In any case, thats a Damage 8 fire to the vamp if it hits, with an additional secondary effect the round after (setting him alight) If its ok with you can I activate complication afterwards, making Rev drained of fuel and thus unable to use jets? (until she gets her hands on some more petrol).

Gamma Buzz "Generic morphic molecules, eh? Maybe Ill get me a super suit one day! Orange, I think. That's a cool colour, right?" Did orange spandex and green armour plates go? Baltazar had no idea, but it sounded cool. Besides, who would notice? he would probably be spending his super hero time patrolling the dimly lit or totally dark tunnels of the subways and sewers of Freedom City. A far cry from warping oneself through space and time. Baltazar tried to grapple with the concept. Dinosaurs! Aliens! Ninja Cyborgs of Zuzu from the 53rd century! The possibilities were infinite. Quite possibly literally. "Sounds like you got a lot of exploring to do! If you ever want company, count me in. I am guessing I wont look so odd to the Ninja cyborg aliens of Zuzu, or at least no more odd than you, eh?" What do aliens look like anyway? Baltazar cracked his knuckles. Partially because he wanted to show he was up for business, up for adventure, up for a fight. But mainly because one of the many amazing things about being a half insect was that his knuckles cracked in a loud and pleasing way. "Do we get field trips? I guess you are the man to go to, eh?"
