That fills the rosta! Will set this up soonish. As per my 'normal' GM quirks, please let me know if you want any story hooks or particular things in the thread and I will try to oblige.
-
Id take this round by round. Firstly, as these are minions, you can take 10 on the attack roll, which will hit them easily. Picking up Mook 1 and Throwing into Mook 2 would be grapple rules - not the easiest to 'grapple' with, on this site we use an amalgamation of 2nd and 3rd edition (see under house rules). This would be one round worth of action - if successful. Mook 3: This would be an improvised weapon (cool!), a visual dazzle Id probably say DC 13 to use the fire extinguisher. The duct tape would probably be an improvised snare. Say DC 13. Alternatively you could just say it was a power stunt of his quickness power (spending an HP or using extra effort) by using duct tape, which would give a much higher DC (20).GIven its a pretty cool stunt, it probably qualifies for a HP in itself, making it, in effect, free.

There is, of course, extra effort!

"I'm a bit old for ghost stories..." said Slick aloud. much too old. I've seen them, for starters. "but this does beg the question... what on earth was that? and why here? why now? the performance wasn't that dreadful!". In fact, it had been an excellent production. Was the opera house haunted? was this some illusion by an evil mastermind? an overly theatrical mutant? Lets face it, he had no idea. But at least the thing seemed caged for the moment... quite how long it would last was anybodies guess, of course. "Where's the manager?" he barked at a stage hand "we need some questions answered pronto!"
-
Well, as far as Slick can see/hear/smell, the threat is still contained. But I am a bit of a loss as to what to do! So it will be more fluff this round.

Rene collapsed to the ground as if he was carrying the world on his shoulders. Damn, he felt like atlas. He could barely breathe under the pressure. He felt something go twang in his hip. Curse these old bones! He presumed (although wisdom had taught him never to rely on presumption) that the juggler had caused the crushing weight. His pompous speech certainly indicated so. Well, time for his own circus act. A spot of fire breathing. From his mouth, with furious illumination, spouted a bolt of fire that weaved its way to the juggler.

1d20-1=6 Curse these old bones! Rene is crushed! On that note, Rene does have the complication old bones and that is one hell of a mighty load. Aside from dropping prone, I think he might take a bruise from that too? I leave that up to GM discretion about penalty and HP if any. Anyway, Rene is up! And he dosen't like that Juggler much at all. No sir, he does not! Bolt of fire! 1d20+8=25 Should be enough to hit: DC 23 Toughness save!
-
He can indeed! Although Gaseous Insubstantial may be a problem... Can the mighty Victory use cunning??? dah dah duuuum!
-
OK this looks about ready to roll: Supercape Dok A Blueshift Push Victory Room for one more if any further interest - ill set this up in a day or two.

"Serenite?" murmured Rene. Never heard of it... or him... or her... Whatever was going on, it seemed staying in the shadows wasn't going to solve anything. And some brave soul was already making a stand. And cracking floorboards, it seemed. Rene stood up with a steely glint in his eye. "I'll open my eyes to Serenite first, if Serenite would be so good as to oblige!" he said, with a bow.

Mary's parents were not far away, and seemed to be waking from a half-slumber. They greeted Mary warmly as Rene showed the girl to them, explaining that she had got lost. Walking back to Marcus, he held out his hand. "Well done Monsieur" he smiled warmly "We never really got to introduce each other properly. Rene De Saens, artist and mage. And you are... a bear? a man? but of course, whatever you are... a hero!"

At your leisure, one more trap box before Toyboy (as per your search roll!) When you feel like it, it will release a swarm of nano-robot flies! I wont stat this up to much: PL 6 Construct. Gaseous Insubstantial Attack +6 Toughness +6 Defence +6 Fort: - Reflex +2 Will: - (No INT, no CON scores). Damage: Fort DC 16 Nauseate Poison attack (from microtoxins) Im sure it has other funny stuff too, but that's it for now! 1d20+5=8 for there initiative when you open the box. They might also get a surprise round attack in: Ill say its a DC 10 Reflex save for Victory to pull back after he opens the box, or he gets bitten.
-
Rene dusted himself off, although there was no dust in the spotless environment of Toy Boy's Arctic factory. Nonetheless, it always paid to make a show of it. "Hmph. Well yes, don't you forget it young man. Tsk. Youth of today. " He held on to his hip and made a face of pain, although he was barely feeling a twinge. There was always time to make a song and dance about aching bones.

Yeah it looks like +31 to me, so you may wish to change sheet in edits to +7/+31 (not much will beat that!) 35 - Jube - 1 HP - Unharmed 4 - Anarchists x 3 - Unharmed
-
Zut Alors! Rene's Initiative 1d20+2=22
-
Right, onto your first fight! The youths are terrorists (anarchists). I may twist the skills slightly so they get streetwise skills rather than theology as besuits there anarchist rather than fundamentalist nature, but it probably wont be important. Equipment: Baseball bat (club), Leather Jacket, and Heavy Handguns. First up: Initiative 1d20+0=4 Beat that! ;)

The building was secure, after a fashion. The main entrance had been ram-raided by a reinforced truck, and patched up - again, after a fashion. It was not difficult to slip into the building through the remains of the door. The building was a goodly size, and divided into several areas for transportation, construction, and storage. From what Jube could make out, it was the storage area that had been taken over. Almost straight away, he ran into three youths and a tied up security guard. The youths were spray painting the walls and smashing up the decor with baseball bats. Despite his uncanny speed and agility, the cat was not quite fast enough. Perhaps he had been running too fast today, with a spine still not sure if it was built for two or four limbs. But having sped through half the city in less than an hour, it decided, at this most unfortunate time, to give a small complaint, and even this temporary spasm was enough for one of the youths to turn around, raising his baseball bat. "Heads up, trouble!" he yelled.

Rene no longer fully trusted his failing eyesight. And would have barely trusted the image of the short dark man who appeared before him, despite his long experience with the strange and wonderful. Of course, in his mind's eye, the man appeared crystal clear and hyper-real, all swirling razor sharp clouds of white and black, screaming of wisdom beyond the ken of mortal men. "That's new..." he remarked. From what he recalled, Papa Ghede was a benign spirit - although he was not so foolish as to be relaxed about this procedure. In his experience, few spirits or souls took particularly kindly to being summoned.

THanks thats very helpful! I think I may be well out of my depth relative to your knowledge here, so I am going to step back from GM duties slightly and let you take narrative control for a little bit if thats ok. GM wise, the Stunt will allow a sort out of the souls, guiding those who have no legitimate bodies to the afterlife, and those who just got ripped from their bodies, back. IE it sorts out the mess. I'll let you handle the specifics as you clearly know a lot more about this than I!
-
Yep! Nick is at full power. The Ghosts aren't able to physically interact with the real world of course, although Nick is aware of them. Feel free to use them for fluff or stunts, of course (or +2 situation modifiers!)
-
Ah yes, good point, well made! *Ahem* Will get to posting!

Rene shook his head and felt the cobwebs clear. Perhaps the gas had worn off, perhaps Victories burst of speed had shaken his brain into gear. "Thankyou, monsieur" he muttered, then had to fight down the wave of nausea that came from the blistering speed of the cyborg. "Although I am afraid my old body is not built for such furious bursts of speed!" he gave a grimace. He looked back at the Toy storage room. "There are not many places left our little enemy can be hiding... and I for one am keen to give him a smacked bottom!"
-
1d20+9=28 Made it
-
Just a note, as Rene has mystic awareness, I presume this is not magical in origin?
-
I'll go with that, but for future reference, paste the link to invisible castle in OOC! :D
