GM "I ain't got time to yap" answered Jones. "But they did. Hurt bad. These guys are scum" he said. Even saying the words got him angrier, if that was even possible. He smashed his two armoued hands together, to the sound of a large clang. Then something clicked in his head. "Quit stalling me!" he said, nastily. "She told me not to get distracted! And here I am, getting distracted!" He turned around, and started to stomp down the staircase to the lower levels.

GM "You are full of wind, Oz!" applauded Penny, invisibly, although her clapping hands could be heard. Boddyflock was behind himself. "Come on men! Up you get! This mighty wizard has done a fine job! A marvellous job! I have never seen such a blow job in my life!" Penny sniggered so hard she was in danger of passing out. "What? Did someone make a joke?" asked Lorenzo. The mushroom men did not get it. They were too busy being buffetted this way and that way with the winds. The spore cloud dispersed in a moment, and the mushroom men staggered and span around, not knowing what to do, or why they should do it.

Thanks! First, that wind will elegantly disperse the cloud area, so nice work. Secondly, Opposed STR: 1d20+6 23 they stay upright. However, in keeping with their general stupidity, I will say that they are flat footed this round from the buffeting! I believe Pan is up!

Sgt Shark There was the brief test of flesh, of blood, or something alien, and then Victor felt the twang of electricity. His muscles went into spasm and he jerked backwards. There was an impressive cobweb of electricity between his teeth, and he felt everything in his mouth tingle. Not in a good way. There was the test of singed flesh. His own. But he had pulled back fast enough, and the lightning was brief. Ouch! I won't try that again! He had felt his heart palpate for a moment, but it seemed to be ticking just fine now. And the jolt of pain only served to focus his head more!

GM The dirt and sand kicked up beneath Chromium's wheels. The odd stone and pebble chipped away, clanking against the undercarriage harmlessly but creating an unnerving sound. He kept speed, in principle, with Sir Prize whose motorbike was no faster, no slower. But it was trecheaous. The wind and waves blew in, sometimes meaning Chromium (and Sir Prize) were driving through the wake of waves, and the beach was uneven, going up and down. And driving on wet sand was not ideal. Still, at this breakneck speed, Chromium could see ahead, to the real explosion. All else had been a distraction. It was a research station, to the North of Freedom City. Neutron Industries. And the building was smoking and cracked... -

Could I have a drive roll, @Tarrakhash? -
GM It would be nice if talking things through would be an easy, nice, solution. Lamentably, Jones was not a bright spark, and as so often the case, his lack of wit made him quite certain that he was right. "Good. Anyone thats involved with these people are scum!" he said, angrily. "And I'm not going to hurt anyone. Not unless they get in my way. Or I find the turdman who is responsible for health and safety" he added. As before, Jones seemed to have pockets of knowledge related to his job. Building maintenance, health and safety regulations, and so on. "If you are so keen on protecting everybody. Get them out of the building. Then i'll blow it up" he said, bluntly.

Just checking, @Exaccus - did Oz make the ref/fort saves vs the spore clouds?

Cap Cosmos Buddy couldn't help but smile inside. The leader was tilted. And hadn't though this through. "Hey, I can. But you have several dozen people here. Anxious, scared people. Some of them drunk. You think you aren't going to be smelling something soon?" he proposed. "And I'm guessing its going to be more than hour. Even if people pay up, you need an exit strategy, and in an hours time this place is going to be surrounded by SWAT, and probably some capes. You need hostages, I guess. Or you have some magic teleport ray or something?" he shrugged. He didn't want to needle the man too much. "Just tell us what you want us to do...best plan now before it gets ugly...."

Sgt Shark Perhaps a noble hero would have waited before sucker punching, or pulling a blaster under a table. But in Sgt Sharks experience, noble heroes were in short supply. They tended to die. No. As this shift in atmospherics turned possible violence into probably violence, he leapt into action. Or, more accurately, swam into action. It was not completely considered at that moment. He had done all the considering much before. Attack the leader. If we can end this quick, its for the best... Who knew what they were dealing with. Aliens? Did they have a hive brain? An autocratic heirachy? A system of subservience? Who knew? But going after the leader was the best bet. And thats what he did. Swimming straight for the leader and biting...

Straight for the kill! Move action: Swim into melee Accurate attack +2, biting the Squid Leader: Bite Squid Leader: 1d20+14 24 hopefully that hits, and if so, a DC 23 Toughness Save. EDIT: Forgot to add; using favoured environment (underwater) to gain +2 to defence (total of 14, 7 flat footed)

Cap Cosmos How long indeed? I am mightily tempted for NOW! but....patience is a virtue! Especially when a woman had a gun pointed to her head. "Its a good point, Sir" he said to the gunman, a little more stiffly. "A point well made and I am sure heeded. No need to hold the gun quite the close, I should say. A slip of the finger, and you lose a bargaining chip. Plus, as soon as you start shooting, the games over. Nobody wins" he said, bluntly. He needed to show a few teeth, and make the point. "I'm sure you got this all under control, though. Escape plans, contingencies, and what to do if someone tries to escape, or a medical emergency. Or, unless you want this place to start smelling bad, lavatory breaks...." he said, planting the seeds....

GM The question was most pertinent, but it seemed Jones was hard pressed to answer. "Revenge!" came the conclusion after some processing lag. He raised a fist - although in this case it came with an armoured wrench attachment. "These scum hurt a friend of mine!" he explained, honestly and furiously. He decided to emphasise his point by smashing his fist into the nearby wall. The power flickered, and the lights dimmed. Jones may not have been the smartest tool in the box at the university, but he knew a thing or two about building maintenance. Like how to short out the power supply. And it seemed that those wrenches attached to his armoured fists were quite capable of insulation against electric power. The screams and chaos below intensified in the dim red lights of the back up system. "Who are you? Their security?" asked Jones, now turning his attention to the question of whether Justice would help or hinder his cause.

GM The Knights seemed to at least pause in their thinking. Robbing a bank was all very well. All very anarchy. And the prospect of free money, the disinhibition of alcohol and adrenaline. That all added up to a heady, attractive brew. But a silver man waving a power hammer around was another matter. They liked hammers. And they dislike having a hammer in their face. Some cheered. It was, after all, pretty cool. Sir Prize didn't. He was tearing down the beach in a flurry of sand, under the starlight, and didn't look back. The wail of sirens could be heard. The emergency services were kicking into gear. And.... Boom. Far of to the north. Another explosion, or possibly explosions, could be heard! The direction Sir Prize was tearing towards! -

GM The building was crumbling around Chromiums arms, but it held. He could hear sounds of tinkling glass and groaning walls above him. He could even feel the tremors through his arms. And yet, the building remained upright. For now. Fascimile, fueled with the power of...well...fuel....and thus possessed of amazing speed, zipped in and out of the building, dodging the occassional falling brick. As he transported the casualties out of the building, he noted two things. Firstly, the prospect of a crumbling bank was an interesting one to a group of anarchists. Nothing seemed to be happening, not yet. And certainly nothing was planned. But there was a murmur of discussion. Was this the prize? Money for all? The idea had been sown. Many were contemplating how they could get there hands on the money. A few were stepping beyond contemplation. But not Sir Prize. He was on his motorcycle, tearing up the beach, northwards. -

GM "Who are you?" grumbled Jones. Now, by this time, Justice had some small fame. The stand off in front of the cameras at the Sunny Sunshine centre had certainly raised her profile. And the lurid reporting of Jack Jackson had magnified the position. Not everybody - by any means - knew of Justice, but she was well known. Jones, however, was a man of simple simplicity, and not a man who really kept his finger on the pulse of current events. He looked down to his armour. On closer inspection, only his right leg and left arm looked like Justice armour. The rest looked like knock off copies, cobbled together from spare parts. Still, an impressive feat of work. And the pincer like wrenches at the ends of the arms were certainly nothing like anything Robin had done. "This is my armor. Not yours!" he said. His style of communication did lack a certain intelligence, a certain eloquence. But it was passionate. "And I'm going to bring this place down!" he said, intentions clear. His hand-wrenches clickity clicked together to emphasise the point.

Cap Cosmos "Easy, Trish" said Buddy, softly. "I'm just trying to help everyone get out of this little story alive" he explained. If she was in on the act, then she was acting well. Was the vapid personality just a disguise? He tried poking slightly. "What do you suggest, Trish? It's all very well spitting defiance, but I can't see its going to do us any good. Just get us killed. Maybe get a lot of people killed. After all, what good is money if you aren't alive to spend it, eh?" he posed. "I am right?" he asked the gunman leader.
