Fenris had hoped the wolf would just leave already. And it mostly was. Even though birdman messed up the portal. 'Some kind of freaking super-tree.' Then the wolf blasted them all with his horrible breath. He couldn't move fast enough to mitigate the effect, but even though alarms blared in his helmet, his plating held strong. He let out an electronically modulated growl, and disappeared in a charge of light. He appeared next to the fleeing wolf, but his strike went wide. <Damn it!> Even as he was recovering his defenses somewhat, he saw the buildings around groaning dangerously. With another flash of light, he appeared next to one of them. <Just need to re-route some things and...there!> With a slight groan, his armor's electroactive polymer mucles surged with enough strength to at least partly prop up the building. He wedged himself against it, grunting with the effort. <Hey! Birdman! Valkyrie! Doktor Archeville! Start helping! Please!>

Right then. 19 on the Reflex. That's bad. 13. Great. Spending an HP to reroll. 13, but that's a 23 with the reroll. Whew. So, since it's my turn, I'll take that prepped action. Charging via telepor +2 Attack (+10 for this one) and -2 Defense (so +3). 11. Dang it. I'll go teleport over and....Let's use Extra Effort to stunt off of his current Array. Stunting Super-Strength 8. So, Strength of 16, plus the effective strenght 40 from SS. So 46, which gives the rough results of 45, which is....30 tons for push-drag. So he's doing his best to prop up a building. Which isn't incredible, but still.
-
Let's see.... Reflex Save: 13. Here's hoping Will does better... 24 makes it, though.

"His miracles occur every day! Unlike your twisted parlor tricks! Say no more! My faith is shield proof against your blandishments!" He stopped for a moment, concentrating the energy around himself just so, before picking out the Fae that looked worse off (of the two still standing). "My own power was granted by his archangel! Feel a sliver of his power and wrath!" With that, he sighted down his arm and fired off a blast of sonic energy that ought to rattle her teeth in place, if nothing else. He was clearly ignoring Jack's antics, seemingly halfway to his own little world.

Let's see...we'll keep it simple now. And looks like inspire is gone. Free Action: Switch Array to Blast. Free Action: All Out Attack for -2 Defense, +2 Attack. Current Attack Bonus with Ranged, 14. Defense 10. Free Action: Power Attack for -2 Attack, +2 Save DC. Current Attack Bonus with Ranged, 12. Blast Toughness Save DC 29. Standard Action: Fire at Leanansidhe 5. I wager a 24 hits. So, yeah, Toughness DC 29.

Suddenly, Gabriel rose once more into the air. At first, it might appear he was fleeing...until he stopped, about 50 feet up. He glared down at the foul magic-user, pointing his right hand at the dark being. "These are no mere parlor tricks, but instead power granted by the Archangel Gavriel! I carry the Wrath of the Lord Almighty! Today you shall be made to pay for your wicked ways!" Taking a moment to line up his shot, Gabriel loosed a concentrated bolt of sonic energy that struck out at the evil sorcerer. He'd neglected his defenses a bit, but he didn't see the guards carrying bows; he reasoned he ought to be fairly safe. "Mercy will be granted if your armies quit the field now!" Meanwhile, in his mind, he recovered from the shock of Scarab's mind-voice and hesitantly spoke back. 'I am dealing with one even now.'
-
Let's see...I think I shall have Gabriel hover into the air by about 50 feet (as his array will be on Flight 1 at this point). We'll say he switched to Blast when he landed, and will now use it. Also: All-Out Attack: -2 Defense for +2 Attack; Defense now 10, Ranged Attack now 14. Power Attack: -2 Attack for +2 Damage; Ranged Attack now 12, Blast Toughness Save DC now 29 Move Action: Float 50 feet straight into the air. Standard Action: Shoot the caster. Son of a-! I should still have 2 Hero Points left, so, Hero Point Reroll. 19 is better, but with the HP becomes 29. I'd bet that hits, so...Toughness Save DC 29 from caster-boy.

Cobalt Templar contemplated Nick's words for a bit. "Okay then. We assume he's in top form until we take him down. Seems smart. You think this guy's exclusively a, uh, "flesh-worker"? Or that he might have a few varied tricks to pull on? Like what you do. Which, I gotta say, while a touch creepy, is leagues better than zombies." He wrinkled his nose at the mess. "I hope messes don't give him power or-" He stopped at Warlock's exclamation and dashed over to the window, attempting to see out as well.

Nice touch speculating what it's made of. I approve. :D

The small group didn't have long to wait. There was a quiet hum, and out of another hangar at the airport, an impressive-looking jet rolled down towards their location. It had an airport vehicle guiding it, but seemed to be moving under its own power. It stopped almost on a dime, and almost simultaneously, the passenger door and the cargo door opened up. From the passenger door stepped Baron Magnus Katastroff, clad in an immaculate business suit. His posture was that of a man stressed and somewhat exhausted, though. He quickly trotted down the stairs that had folded out, walking over to the others with a tired smile on his face. "Excellent. Glad you're all here. I'll have them start loading things up ASAP. We actually just brought the jet back from Sweden. Once we get it all buttoned up, it should take us...about 4.5 hours. Roughly." Already, professional loaders were moving in to gently take the equipment on board. "Again, thank you. All of you. I...well, just...thank you." He was clearly feeling awkward, so he gestured for them to follow. "Come on, let's hop on."

A lot of the conversations had been going on in a language that Fenris just didn't recognize. He could catch tantalizing hints, and some of the words being thrown around seemed familiar. That's when 2 and 2 came together to make 4. "Holy crap." He stood there stunned for a moment. 'What's THE Fenris Wolf doing here? Fighting...shoot, a Valkyrie? Dang it. I don't like those Norse folk, but this puppy is bad news. Looks like that...angel...is talking the big guy down, though. Time to play bodyguard, I guess.' With a flash of light, Fenris slipped between spaces and ended up about 5 feet in front of where Thrude and Doktor Archeville were. He glances back at her condition, even as he crouched a bit and sent a mental command to his armor. The power flowing through his suit shifted subtly, and the cannons lost their light. However, lines all over the suit glowed more fiercely, and the small claws on his fingers extended a bit, crackling energy starting to flow over them, causing a continual low-level hissing sound as moisture in the air hit the superheated blades. He spoke then, his voice carrying perhaps farther than he'd meant it to. He'd switched to Swedish, as it was the closest to older languages he had. His gaze focused on the large wolf, and his "mouth" didn't move as he spoke, though his words were meant for the "girl" behind him. <Don't know who you are exactly, Miss Valkyrie. But you look hurt pretty bad. We're here to help. Try to calm down and let us get this fight out of the middle of downtown. No reason more blood needs shed right now.> 'Damn bloodthirsty Norse. Bet she'll try to charge back in if she can stand up straight. Couldn't possibly conceive of a peaceful solution, could she? Birdman over there has a good head on his shoulders, at least.'

Hokay, so, here's the world...Wait, no. (Sorry, half-sleepy brain makes me loopy.) Hm. The Fenris Wolf is not attacking. Thus, Fenris the Hero won't. First: Free Action: Shift Weapons Array from Ranged to Melee (Ranged is his default). Free Action: Knowledge: Theology and Philosophy: 15. Per Shaen, I know this is supposed to be The Fenris Wolf, and that the chick is a Valkyrie or some such. Move Action: Teleport to stand between Thrude and Fenris, in a guarding position. Standard Action: Ready an action to attack the big wolf if he attacks first.

Right, crazy weekend ahead. Friday: Work, and then gaming night. On late, if at all. Saturday: Morning and afternoon, combo of a bit of house cleanup, family over, youngest brother's high school graduation, and reception. Then, when I leave that, I go for another night of gaming. Sunday: Church in the morning, and sometime in the later afternoon/evening, my youngest brother's open house. So, yeah. I'll likely be sparse around here for a couple of days.

"If sin is your armor, then your armor shall be broken!" The whole fight's a bit of a mess. However, Gabriel notices there are two of the leansidhe who don't seem to be in the top of their game, yet also aren't already being dog-piled. He had just verbally accosted one of them. He eyed the targets for a moment... The first his right hand, and then his left, snapped up. The air around him shifted, and then for a moment, two lines of intense, highly-focused sound waves connected Gabriel to the two fell women. "You face the judgement of the righteous! Today you pay for your crimes! Do not cloak your evil in pretty words! Do not shroud your taint with petty beauty! Fall to your knees and repent! Cry out your penitence and be spared the full measure of the Lord's Wrath!"

Hm. Think I'll switch Gabriel to Drain Toughness. Also, using an HP to negate the Fatigue from Extra Effort. Free Action: Switch Array to Drain Toughness Now, having read Power Attack again, it looks like it can boost the Save DC of my Drain Toughness, as that power still has both an Attack Roll and a Save. So, with that said... Free Action: All Out Attack for -2 Defense, +2 Attack. Current Attack Bonus with Ranged, 19. Defense 10. Free Action: Power Attack for -2 Attack, +2 Save DC. Current Attack Bonus with Ranged, 17. Drain Toughness Fortitude Save DC 24. Standard Action: Fire at...Leanansidhe 5. I'd wager a 30 hits. DC 24 Fortitude save for Rank 12 Drain Toughness. Extra Effort: Second Standard Action. Standard Action: Fire at...Leanansidhe 1 And 35 likely hits quite well. DC 24 Fortitude save for Rank 12 Drain Toughness.

Whereas Jack of All Blades entered the room almost cheerfully, Gabriel practically stormed in. He started to hover off the floor as he observed the room, and he moved to one side to allow Nick to enter as well. Even as he moved, the humming around his person shifted. Then, he began to speak. "Liars! Betrayers! Seducers! Murderers! Slaves to the Fell Queens! I find thee guilty! Stained by sin! A menace to this world!" Suddenly, he pointed to one of the sidhe, and said faerie felt a wave of crushing despair and self-loathing roll over her mind. "Repent of your wicked ways!" Fast as the sound he so easily wielded, he was pointed at another one of the otherworldly women. "Renounce your evil!"
-
Right then. Because I'm feeling like mixing it up a little bit... Free Action: Shift Sonic Control Array to Emotion Control, choosing Despair. Move Action: Skim in and to one side with Flight 1, so others can move into room as necessary. Standard Action: Hit Leanansidhe 5 With EC:D. DC 22 Will Save. Extra Effort: Another Standard Action Standard Action: Hit Leanansidhe 4 With EC:D. DC 22 Will Save.

An 8. Joy. Well, I feel I should also say that, due to how I want plot to fall, Fenris (my character) does not have his Regeneration or Datalink powers yet. Yes, they're on his sheet. But it'll be a few days before it's actually implemented. So, Con is down a point, and he's Fatigued. Stupid Norse mythological figures!

Magnus had had nothing to do in the office for the last three days. Partly this was due to the fact he'd started to clear his schedule as the fateful time approached. 'We will save you, little Eira...' Of course, being that he had a lot of free time, but also a lot of pent-up energy, he decided to go out on patrol in his armored suit. Scaring a few thugs, or stopping a super-villain, always helped him burn off that energy. Besides, he'd tweaked a few settings, and it was a good time to test such things out. He'd had absolutely nothing going on, right up until a storm cell spontaneously appeared over Midtown. Frowning inside his helment, and making the initial assumption it was Doctor Stratos or a similar villain, he started speeding towards the site. The truth, when he arrived, was much...stranger. "That's the bloody biggest wolf I've ever seen...And what is it talking in? With that...wait. A giant axe? Lightning? She couldn't be one of the blasted Norse ones, could she?" He didn't know much mythology beyond what TV put out, but he could at least put "large weapons" and "lightning" together to make "Thor". Obviously this wasn't Thor. And maybe it was just coincidence. One way or another, Fenris would have to step in! That big wolf looked like major, Grade A trouble. It had to go down first. But how?
-
And, I guess, all the sonic energy humming off of Gabriel. Not sure how wellJack could pick it up, though.

Alright, rolling init... 4. :? Good thing I'm about to leave for work, and I won't be back home until later tonight. :?

It'd be nice if Gabriel, being the impulsive one, went near the front of- 10? *Unprintable Words*

I check forums marked with new posts regularly. When I saw it was Thride's intro thread, how could I not read it? And sorry for jumping the gun there.

I'm posting via iPhone at work, so I can't hop in can't right now... Anyways. I'd love to hop in on the action. Part of me wants my Fenris in on the action, but the Pl difference may be too much. On the flip side, Gabriel might almost be too much...Up to you, Shaen. If you think none of my PCs would work well enough, that's fair too.

"Five? That sounds like they've got something bigger planned. I won't comment on the "keeping score", though. Hm. Curious." He wasn't happy with the situation at all; little information, and these faeries had had time to prepare themselves. Probably best to move fast. *************************************************************************** [Later] Gabriel spoke softly before Nick opened the door. "Looks like this one, at least, is living a bit more upscale. Wonder if they all have different tastes?" When the door was open and he heard the chanting, he frowned deeply. "That sounds like some sort of ritual. We need to go break it up; odds are good they're doing something bad." With that, Gabriel strode directly into the house, not caring about possible traps, his eyes searching about for possible foes.
