Raven pursed his lips, but nodded at Copycat's words. "Fair. Though you know what I mean." At Geckoman's first comments, he looks thoughtful. At the "intertubes" comment, he retracts the lenses of his mask long enough to visibly roll his eyes at Geckoman, before they snap in place again. He speaks, and as he does so, he pulls a couple of modules from his belt, plugging them in to his gauntlets, where holographic mid-air screens spring up and he begins typing and clicking. "First of all, saying 'Intertubes' makes you sound so old. I want that noted for the record. Secondly, it won't take that long for the first round of that investigation. But the important parts, if they've got two brain cells, will be on an air-gapped network that we have to get to physically anyway. And if they could connect these dots, I'm going to operate on the assumption they can airgap."

Activating the "Tools of the Trade" Gadget, primarily for the Rookery uplink. This flows into some of my checks. Computers (substituting for Gather Information via Online Research): 22. Hm. I'll let that stand for now. This is to try and get additional info on this Agent, and anyone he might be connected with or reporting to. Investigate: 22. Okay that's weird. This is basically to try and sniff out possible rumors or whatnot online/"out there". Computers: 25. This is to try and find any Dark Web sites or file shares that may be linked to Government Acronyms trying to gather information on super-types. Like names and strengths/weaknesses.

"I am not 'annoyed', Dewstar. You are a self-admitted murderer. One who has no remorse for the lives she's taken. One who'd have committed some of these murders with no remorse or guilt, even had she not been chained. Your geas does not absolve you of the guilt of your previous crimes. And your refusal to acknowledge good and evil do not change the fact of their existence." He stops for a moment, taking a calming breath. "I get 'annoyed' at traffic. I get 'annoyed' at too many trailers in front of a movie. I get 'annoyed' at someplace over-charging for simple food items. The things you have done? They go far beyond 'annoying' me. But." He took a single step forward, his body otherwise motionless. "I am feeling generous. You like freedom of movement? Well here's a deal. You refrain from seriously injuring or killing anyone in this entire dimension, and when we free you of this geas, you leave. You leave this city, this state, this country, this continent, and this world, and you never darken its door with your blood-spattered murdering self, and I won't lift a finger to stop you leaving. You stay gone, and I won't call down the entire Freedom League to ensure you end up staked to the sunny side of Mercury with blessed silver and cold iron. I don't care that you don't want your freedom taken away. You lost that privilege when you became a murderer." He crossed his arms over his chest. "That's my deal."

Thunderbird Micah considered the foe in front of them. An enormous maybe-demon tied to one of the most winter-y days of the year. A creature of ice and cold and snow and- "I'm a moron." He zoomed closer, the air currents all around the campus shifting as he did. Suddenly, he stopped and hovered in place. Then he reached out one of his hands toward the Krampus, palm up, and furrowed his brow in concentration. "Let's see how much you like the heat..." And then the air around the Krampus experienced a skyrocketing temperature. Moments after the crash course in Summer vs Winter, the air stirred. Less than an eye-blink later, roaring near-tornado-force winds began pushing against the Giant Krampus, seeking to hinder its movements. Micah was pouring everything he could into roasting this monster where it stood and keeping it from running away.
-
Thunderbird's going to try changing this up a bit. Free Action: Switch High Flier Array to "Stir the Storm" weather control power. Move Action: Get to 60 feet away from Krampus. Standard Action: Alter the weather for Krampus. I have 24PP to play with, here's what we'll do: 2pp/rank for Extreme Heat, 2pp/rank for Hamper Movement (High Winds), giving each of them 6 ranks (for 60 feet of range), and 24PP total. Micah will put the center of the alteration right in the middle of Krampus. EDIT: Opposed Power Check: 11. I'm gonna HP reroll that for 10 which becomes 20.

Raven started pacing, over to the side where he had some room. He seemed a bit lost in thought as Copycat walked them through what had happened, and what had been said. "Seems like the real question is, who's ordering Johnson around? Surely even if the desk agent thing is a front, he's not the top person. Because whatever he knows, his superior does." He stopped and turned to face Copycat. "The other question is...just how far are you willing to watch us go? Only investigation? Removal and/or destruction of records? Threats? Is this to be information-retrieval only, or an open attempt to deter him?"
-
You'd proposed that we 3 do some sort of Combo attack, yeah? If so, I'll do the same. EDIT: Upon some discussion in Chat, I'm going to do my round per normal and not delay. Will try to post that tomorrow.

Raven's eyes narrowed behind his mask at Dewstar's threat to the entire Tri-State area. As far as he was concerned, she was already pushing on being a "call in the Freedom League" threat, because he had less than no patience for that sort of thing. But then he really noticed what she was, the nature of her existence. The little clues, adding up and clicking together one by one. "When did you Turn?" Dewstar could hear the way he emphasized that last word, and knew he didn't mean direction.

Judex was just continuing to laugh as he fought, the blows coming against him either missing entirely, or almost bouncing off of his sturdy body. As their assault ebbed, his leg snapped out. It landed in a perfect kick dead between the legs of the man in front of him. "You won't need that for a while anyway, brother!" Then he gave the man an axe-handle-chop to the head, before turning to another thug. This man just got a punch to the face that knocked him over like a cut tree. Yet another man was backing up, trying to get away. "You can flee, but the Lord's wrath shall always find ye!" Judex grabbed a fistful of his shirt and the man's belt, bodily lifting him over his head for a moment, shaking him as if he were a bag of potatoes. "I think your friends need you still, little wolf!" And then he threw the man at the other thugs. He was getting good at tossing grown men at each other!

Micah had already donned everything when the action started. As some of the others got mixed in early on, he closed his eyes for several long moments. He breathed in, then out, concentrating his mind. Then, his eyes snapped open, green glowing from within, and more green beginning to crackle around his body as he rose into the air, the winds whipping beneath him. He gained altitude, wanting to be well clear of a building for this. "Here's hoping this works..." He raised his hands into the air, forming something of a "Y" shape with his body. His eyes narrowed in concentration. Then, sparks began to flicker around his body, and the clouds overhead whirled and churned. The air stilled, just for a moment, and almost everyone nearby felt their hair stand up, just a bit. KRAKATHOOM And then a lightning bolt as thick as a man's torso flashed down from the clouds to stop for just a moment between Micah's hands, before being hurled right at the Krampus's face. The emerald bolt of energy seared the air in its wake and produced a tremendous thunderclap.
-
Micah's going to shoot it. Move Action: Get up in the air and try to not be in range of the Krampus's hands/club. Standard Action: All-Out Attack +5 Attack -5 Defense, Power Attack -5 Attack +5 Damage Ranged Attack with his ranged power Green Lightning: 26. That'll be a DC 32 Toughness Save!
-
Gonna use a Hero Point for Beginner's Luck in 5 ranks in Knowledge: Arcane Lore. So between that and Int, a +9, with another +4 if we let Eidetic Memory show up. I have OOC suspicions but Alek should roll: 26, 30 if EM applies. Trying to determine just what Dewstar/Daria is.
-
Alek isn't going to immediately start fighting, though he is absolutely much more on-guard at this point. I need to get moving but I'm going to post some rolls later, he's going to use feat combos to make a check.
-
I would like to do this thing, though I'm guessing the damage bonus won't carry over in TDA?

Raven watched Chris behind his mask, managing not to smirk as the most colorful hero there lived up to his costume. Copycat's words killed that amusement, though, and instead generated a slight frown that the average mugger would have found terrifying. To Geckoman and Copycat it was just "I am slightly annoyed". "There are too many threads that that information could unravel. But I have to wonder..." He paused as he considered how to ask, then settled on being much like Copycat, and just saying it. "Why him? Why now? What do they hope to gain? And perhaps most importantly, what do you hope we can accomplish together?"
-
Right then, they're still next to me, going for a different guy. Standard Action: Melee Attack: 29. My kingdom for Improved Critical. Toughness DC 19. Free Action: Grapple: 33. Will wait to confirm this all works before giving my Move Action. EDIT: I have 5HP, what the hey. Spend a Hero Point as a reaction to get Improved Critical, so the Melee Attack is now a Crit. Use that Crit for +5 Damage bonus.

KnightDisciple replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in Lantern Hill
"Yeah, glad you got yourself the dress, Judy. It looks nice." Micah shifts a bit in his seat, trying to not be self-conscious at that statement. Danica's question about the motorized shoes makes him refocus. "Still working on them. I think I'm close; I've got the pre-alpha model down, but they're way too big right now. The next step is shrinking everything without losing the performance." -
Not immediately relevant, but, what are the current weather conditions, Gizmo?

Raven gave a polite nod to Dom, Sofia, Lexa, and Alex. He took the lead in front of Chromium, positioning so that the metallic hero was slightly behind and to his left. He stopped several feet away from where Daria was under a car, standing such that his arms (most importantly, his hands) were concealed in his cloak. His eyes were shining white, despite all the lights around them. For several moments, he just stood there. Then, he spoke; his voice seemed simultaneously a whisper, and loud enough for at least this entire pit to hear. "Daria Stavros. You are considered wanted on several counts of murder. Today that list has been added to with a count of attempted murder. Please step out from underneath the car and surrender yourself, to be turned over to custody of the Freedom City Police. Please come quietly." Raven waited patiently for her reply.
