Tagging, for JUSTICE.

Would really like to get Sun Walker into space for SPACE MONKEY PRINCE adventures. It's why he got made! Not sure how yet, though, guess it depends on how God Squad ends?

There was a sound that suggested cloth meeting armor plates in a slight motion, though Nevermore didn't move from where he was. Perhaps he had shrugged? Either way, he took a half-step forward, showing a bit more of himself. Perhaps he was disappointed his stealth hadn't worked so well on his fellow students. He clearly had no ill will toward them, but when you were a mere mortal in the presence of some of the other Claremonters, you tried to "show off" in more subtle ways. Scaring people because they didn't see you there was one such way. "Headmaster works in mysterious ways." Well his face isn't smiling but the way he said that sounds like a joke...

When the missiles started to fire, Sun Walker's eyes widened and his eyebrows rose. When he actually processed and understood the sheer volume of fire about to pour down on them, he began moving, bobbing and weaving through the gouts of sand, the storm of shrapnel, and the twisted orchestra of explosions. It was almost enough. Almost. But even the swift scion of Sun Wukong wasn't fast enough in this moment. He, too, was caught up in the horrible barrage of missiles. The dust began to settle, and it revealed Walker crouching on the ground, his arms over his head, tail wrapped tightly around his body, and dozens of small, bleeding wounds scoring his flesh and beginning to mat down some of his prodigious hair with crimson. He seemed to be bamboozled by the concussion waves more than hurt by the explosions, but overall he was not in the worst shape among them. And then Meatheral called out, rallying the heroes to try and focus all their power on the monstrous being. That shout got through the ringing in Walker's ears, and his head shook vigorously for a moment, like a dog shaking water from its back. With a single, fluid motion he stood up, his eyes taking in the whole scene, especially the angle of attack his rocky compatriot was using. Without so much as a word, the demigod raced once more across the sand, and once more he went airborne. It quickly became apparent that he would arrive "on target" mere moments after Meatheral did. The way he was moving through the air, it looked as if he would land with both feet coming down, hard, right where the rocky fists would be softening up the necrotic cyborg.

He's like Wolverine! But balder!

"Could just take turns." Holy crud-monkeys when did he get there! And by "he" we mean Nevermore, the stolid sidekick of the night-time avenger of wrong-doings, the Raven! At this moment he was standing in one of the corners of the room, barely visible in the shadows. It was hard to tell if he had been there for a while, or just slipped in while Casey and Sakuro had been talking about the scheduling mix-up. "Or try mixing things up. Shake up team rosters. Try larger scenario. Competitive skill practices. Plenty of options. Not like we're mortal enemies." The way he said it he might as well have been reading the golf section of the daily newspaper.

Right. Burn an HP to kick out the Dazed. Move Action: Get up in the dude's business again. Free Action: Power Attack for 5. Attack is +10, Toughness DC is 25. Standard Action: Power Attacking Melee Attack: 21. That should be just enough! Thus, his attack contributes to the Combined.
-
Clearly the log should knock now-unconscious Starshot airborne, to land semi-safely in the arms of the two teens who notice his flying body just in the nick of time.
-
Can I use an HP to shake the Daze? EDIT: To clarify I don't have book access at the moment and can't recall one way or the other.
-
I'd like to try and play this out, yes.

Gabriel quickly curtailed his battle-song as the world shifted around them. Only long hours of ignoring normal senses of up and down while flying, and a couple of years of practice quickly shifting between Earth-Prime and Sanctuary, kept him from feeling more than a quick flutter in his stomach. He stood calmly on his perch on Super-Bee's back for several moments, his gaze sweeping the restored and repaired skyline, before casually stepping onto open air and floating over to land next to the other heroes. His voice carried just a bit to the bees. "Peace, sisters in arms. Remain alert, but the danger may be past." More quietly he spoke to Gaian Knight and Tiamat. "I thought they were going to the hive-world of these bugs? This is...this is more like they went back in time? What kind of portal did they step through?"

CT shrugged at the comment about the monster. "One of the more...literal...translations I've found, yes." Templar didn't really bat an eye at Mark's comment about Freedom Friends; it was just the way things were. If anything he found it cheering! As he responded, he eyed the needle. "That might be just what we need, then. I'm looking at this thing, and I don't think we need to wait for anyone else to throw it in the Sun. I can hit orbit and then really open up. Worst case it's 10 minutes for me to break atmosphere and get close enough the throw's a guaranteed long bomb. I know that can be an eternity in super-battles, but I figure right now it's the best shot we've got of removing this part of the equation while also freeing you up to help with cleanup. Midnight's got the de-gunk-ification handled, and he's got Wander, Singularity, Aquaria, Cannonade, and Monsoon to help ride herd on things. If we can spare you holding this thing together we can spare me tossing it into the system's biggest wastebasket, right?"

Nevermore Gather Information DC 15: Nevermore is the crime-fighting sidekick of the Raven! DC 25: He seems to be operating on his own quite a bit. DC 35: There's rumors that Raven's getting old. Maybe this young, fresh face on the "Raven team" means he's going to be stepping up soon? Knowledge: Technology (All checks require observation of his equipment in action) DC 20: He's running a pretty advanced suit, more so than the first Raven, or the early years of the current Raven. DC 30: While not necessarily the bleeding-edge that, say, Archetech is, this suit is the sort of thing that would make most Special Operations folks envious, and suggests that Nevermore's getting a lot of support from Raven when it comes to equipping. Knowledge: History DC 25: Most sidekicks of Raven seem to run around for a year, maybe less, then go branch out on their own. While Nevermore does a fair bit of solo work, he's still strongly associated with the Raven. Aleksander Garen Nakani Gather Information DC 10: Aleksander was not born in the United States. DC 15: He was adopted by Loren and Melissa Barbeau. DC 20: He was adopted by the Barbeaus about 5 or so years ago. (Requires access to restricted adoption systems, or otherwise ability to go through specific records.) DC 25: His birth parents were from the nation of Georgia, and were of mixed Armenian and Ossetian descent. Georgia is also where Alek himself was born. (Same restrictions.) DC 35: Alek was one of several children rescued from an indoctrination program run by the Blood Dragon Society. (Requires the below DC 35 Computers check.) Computers (Also requires connection to adoption services systems) DC 25: Alek's birth parents died a decade before he appears in any US/UN systems. There is a full ten-year gap in his life records. DC 35: Alek's adoption was assisted by various members of, and associates of, the Freedom League. There was a surge of adoptions of similarly-aged youths at that time. DC 40: Alek spent a year in the care of psychic therapists associated with the League. That length of time and caliber of therapists suggests some truly formidable traumas...or brainwashing. (Requires access to League systems.) Knowledge: History DC 15: The Blood Dragon Society is a centuries old chivalric-style, founded around the time of Vlad the Impaler. It is seemingly defunct DC 20: Vlad was/is totes a vampire, guys. And the BDS was founded to fight the likes of him and other supernatural nasties, named after the historical knightly order Tepes was a member of in the day. DC 25: They used some really questionable methods and tactics, which include brainwashing, terroristic tactics, and the harnessing of darker powers and energies to boost their own troops. DC 30 (paired with a DC 25 Gather Information Check): The Blood Dragon Society exists and is active today, with a similar philosophy and methodology as in the old days, just updated with modern tools. DC 35 (in conjunction with the DC 40 Computers check and DC 35 Gather Information check, and the above DC 30 History check): Alek and the other children rescued are clearly only one "cell" of a rather decent-sized network of BDS groups operating primarily in Europe and Asia, with the same vaguely-defined, easily-mutable goals.

We wish you the best as well, Dok! I'm sorry you won't be coming back any time soon, but completely understand why. I think I speak for everyone when I say that if the time comes, you're always welcome back around these parts. Wishing and praying for the best for you as well.

Take care of yourself out there, SC. We'll miss you.

The explosion of goo and gore didn't really phase Cobalt Templar; the liquid just sizzled to ash or slid off of his construct-body, never touching his actual flesh. He blinked in surprise at how...dramatic...that defeat had been. And then he heard the cries of surprise and fear as the citizens below were doused in poison that left them mind-controlled. He moved down and helped Cannonade corral and contain them for a few moments, before everything was at least partially settled down. Then Midnight was organizing the next stage of things with the same calm efficiency. He gave a quick salute to the understated vigilante, and then was off in a blue blur. Unhindered by consideration for passengers, he was back to where Mark was in just moments, crashing to the ground with an impact lighter than his bulk might suggest. Almost immediately, blue bands of flickering steel sprang up to help hold Mark's plug construct in place, even as Templar walked over next to his friend, his exaggerated size evaporating away as he did so. "There was a giant frog-bat-lizard. Wander and I punched it really hard, and it turned into...green goop, basically. Mind controlled all the people it touched. They're all knocked out but the others are getting stuff so Midnight can cook up a cure." He paused, folding his arms over his chest and narrowing his eyes at the uneven needle construct, the blue bands flickering with force from the internal efforts before reforming themselves. "Edge, how long do you think the hardest, toughest plug you've got in this thing could last, if you weren't maintaining it?" He seems to have some sort of plan...

Ack, sorry, this week's thrown my game off a bit. DC 25 Toughness Save 1: 32. DC 25 Toughness Save 2: 14. Freaking really? No, rerolling this: 29. ...Unless I can't due to the attack reroll? If that's the case I guess he's, like, Staggered and Dazed or something like that. If I am allowed to reroll the save then he's down to 3 HP.

"Today on Chemistry With Midnight..." EDIT: More seriously, Gizmo, is there a reason you didn't give Cobalt Templar anything to do? He's just kind of hovering there at this point. He can maintain an extra barricade, or help find things, or really do about anything.

The terse young man gave Vonnie a nod as he emerged from the darkness and rubble. He shook himself a bit, to get rid of the worst of the dust and gravel sticking to his body. He then looked down again. When he met Vonnie's gaze, there was...well the skull-mask made it hard to tell, but it looked like a slight smile on his face. "Paint got smeared. Sad, don't you think?" He looked around, and the almost-smile was gone. "Of course the old man ran off. Come on, shouldn't stay split up for longer than we have to." He took a couple steps and tried to get his bearings. As he did so, he spoke over his shoulder. "Name's Nevermore."
