Gabriel noted that Conquest was so rattled by the blow he'd been dealt that not only had he not attacked, he hadn't even spoken. "Looks like I found out how to shut you up, Mister It Is All About Pressure." He raised the bow, drawing the string back...as an arrow of condensed vibration took shape. He didn't need the bow, but somehow it just felt right, in this moment, to use it. He took aim, and loosed the projectile...and followed up with three more in rapid succession. None of them struck the corrupted being's heart (or what passed for one) or head, but all of them struck nonetheless, and they struck powerfully, their very nature sending tiny shockwaves ripping back and forth across Conquest's body.

Right then, this time I think I'm just going to do 1 regular attack... Free Action: Switch Sonic Control Array to Blast 12. Free Action: All-Out Attack 5. Defense is now +7, Attack is +17. Free Action: Power Attack 5. Attack back to +12, Toughness DC is now 32. Standard Action: Ranged Attack vs Conquest. 22. That just barely hits. So that's a DC 32 Toughness Save!

He had moved through the air silently, like a shadow flitting from rooftop to rooftop. His effort to climb onto and move across the rooftop was textbook-perfect. He'd positioned himself next to one of the boared-up sections of the skylight and closed his eyes to wait. For a fleeting moment, he felt like he was back...there....and that this was a training exercise. But then his mental barriers, and the training under Raven, slammed into place. These little "flashes" were few and far between by now, but this was his first "team up" raid on a criminal base. It was bound to stir up old memories. Then he heard the *crack* of the door basically disintegrating, and smiled. Not only was that an excellent way to enter a facility, it was a good distraction. He wasn't one for leaving comrades swinging in the breeze, but even 5 seconds of focused attention on one point would allow him a flanking attack that may well cripple the organization of the enemy. Meanwhile, Solvrytter would be taking care of himself adequately. Now he just needed.... *ZAP* There it was. The lights going out, spreading more confusion. Nevermore smiled, and if any criminals had been nearby, their superstitious, cowardly nature might liken it to the smile of some angel of death getting told he was about to work overtime. A single kick broke trough a flimsy piece of particle board, and an eyeblink later, the young caped hero was descending on the gang's lair like blackened lightning from the heavens. He flared his cape for a moment, before kicking off of a nearby catwalk to alter his descent angle. That pointed him toward the second-story ledge, which a single foot reached out to greet with another push. This time, he added rotation to his manuever, so that by the time he reached ground level, he was crouched down, cape splayed about his person, eye lenses glowing in the dark, teeth gleaming just a bit in that same predatory smile. He didn't speak. All he did was slowly, carefully stand up, keeping the cape wrapped about his person, disguising where his hands were and what his exact profile was. Making him something less, and more, than human. A creature of the night.

Once the filming finished with Crimson Tiger, Thoughtspeed stepped up to the proverbial plate. He was, for the moment, eschewing his head-encasing helmet in favor of his normal facemask, and the addition of a Supercrime! ballcap, making him look like a hero who joined the film crew or some such. (It paid, sometimes, to be the son of the stars, and getting free stuff was one of the ways it paid.) "Hey, I'm Thoughtspeed! I'm super excited about this episode's trip. I mean, dinosaurs! Live! Back in the day! But more than just seeing them, I'm going to be racing them! We're going to be clocking speeds on at least one type of dinosaur, and possibly more. So criminals around the globe better watch it; I'm a lean, mean, crime-fighting, dinosaur-racing machine!" He managed to not throw a goofy pose in, but only just, and his infectious grin was a bit goofy besides.

"Water table. You're right, between being in a cave with a semi-steady supply from streams like this, and the water table, there's a good chance there'd be...well, a pool down there. It's worth glancing at, anyways." Corbin waved the group toward the cave entrance, being sure to click on the flashlight that he had with him. He didn't need it, and the girls didn't need it, but their guides might. He had some suspicions, though.

Nevermore tilted his head to the side just a bit as Solvrytter withdrew Jarnskurer from...a pocket dimension? Magic, go figure. "Handy way to store things. And that's one of the cooler door override mechanisms I've seen in a while." Clearly when it came to overriding a door, Nevermore (and likely Raven) did not believe in half measures. The caped youth moved to the edge of the rooftop, his toes creeping out over open space. His body was...not rigid, but tense. Ready. He spoke again, in hushed, clipped tones. "When I hit the roof, Solvrytter should give it a 10 count and then go running in. Soon as you hear him hit that door, Polarity, you fry it all. Ready? Good." And then he was airborne, gliding through the air with dark, silent wings. The last bit of his flight started to arc down a bit...and suddenly a grapnel line shot out, and he was gracefully pulling himself onto the roof. As soon as his feet hit the flat rooftop, he began crouch-walking over to one of the half-broken skylights, where he stopped. And waited.

Right, focusing on crunchy stuffs. So, the actual scores for those should either be higher or, if all the +'s are due to Enhanced Ability, you should note it thusly: 10/20 (+5) (for Strength, for instance). Our notation basically has it that the 1st number for a stat is the least-modified version of that number. Where is all that Initiative coming from? 5 would be from your Dex, but I don't see Improved Initiative anywhere. Also, if you have +6 Bas Attack (meaning +6 to both Ranged and Melee), that's 12pp right there. A +13 Defense (which...seems to be all Base Defense?) would be 26PP. That's 38PP right there. It looks like you're still figuring out totals for Saves and Skills. Keep in mind that Toughness cannot be directly purchased. You have to use Con Bonus, Powers (such as Protection), Equipment/Devices (which basically house Powers), and/or Defensive Roll to boost that save. Feats look...okay, though I'm having trouble picking up a theme. Also, we like people to keep them alphabetic. Powers looks like a work in progress. Keep in mind, though, that Emotion Control 3 is a DC13 Save power, while Blast 4 is very under-powered for this PL.

Gabriel stood strong as the chains of Conquest flew by his head. The sounds of oppressed souls saddened him, but he knew his duty. He would not falter. No, instead he lifted his spear in one hand, and his bow in the other.... And somehow, they shimmered, and the bow was huge, and the spear just a bit smaller, and while he was not an archery master, the spear and the bow together all but sang their instructions to him. His muscles tensed as he pulled back, the string of the bow humming with barely-restrained power. He almost released, but caught himself in the last moment, taking precious eyeblinks to re-align his shot. "Then the Lord will appear over them; His arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet; He will march in the storms of the south, and the Lord Almighty will shield them. They will destroy and overcome with slingstones." And then the over-sized silvery arrow flew through the air at incredible speed, slamming home center-mass on Conquest, piercing through the already-weakened armor. "If it is a matter of pressure, I believe one of us is exerting and withstanding more than the other."

*Cracks knuckles* Right then. Talked this over with Trollthumper a bit, here's how I'll break it down. Move Action: Spend a Hero Point to, basically, add Ranged to Gabriel's Spear. Free Action: All-Out Attack 5. Defense is now +7, Attack is +17. Free Action: Power Attack 5. Attack back to +12, Toughness DC is now 32. Standard Action: Ranged Attack vs Conquest. 19. Nope nope nope. Free Action: Hero Point for a Reroll. 17, but with the +10 for the HP reroll that becomes 27. That should definitely have hit, so that'll be a DC 32 Toughness Save.

"Well, they have something or someone big and not-human in there. I didn't get a good look, and thus far I haven't gotten multi-spectrum backscatter lenses installed. Something about not giving x-ray vision to a teenage boy, like I can't be responsible or something." Perhaps a touch of humorous exasperation, but otherwise serious. "As for dragons not being real, there's a shape-shifting dragon on the Reservist list of the Freedom League. She typically goes around the city in a human disguise, but is from an alternate dimension and very much a dragon naturally. Besides, you teleport and shoot electricity out of your hands, and you're questioning dragons?" He gave her a half-smile before shifting fully to "business time mode". "Here's my thinking, feel free to help adjust it. Polarity, you see that generator in that alleyway over there? Do you think you could zap down next to it and pour as much juice as possible into it? I'd wager we could startle them, drop the lights, that sort of thing. Then you can pop inside and help us knock heads. Solvrytter, I'm thinking the back door over there is calling your name. One or two good shoves should get it open, and if the guys up top see you, well..." He gestured to the heavy armor the young knight wore. "No offense, but I'd wager you can take it. Me, I'm going to get on the roof. When Polarity fries the generator, which should hopefully be right as Solvrytter is busting down the door, I'll break through and start working on them from the inside. The two of you can join me, and we'll take down everyone besides Bigsauce McGee in there. Then we take down the big guy. Your thoughts?"

Right, so, rolling another Notice to see if Nevermore can spot anything else. Notice check: 23. Hopefully that spots a skylight or something. Knowledge (tactics) check: 19. Again, no Master Plan, but the idea is that perhaps between those 2 checks he can notice a few more things about their target building, the forces around it, etc, and combine that with knowledge of the resources they have at their disposal for an idea on how to approach things.

Thoughtspeed shifted a bit uneasily on his feet. On one hand, him being on Supercrime was old hat. He was even still wearing a mask! On the other hand, people out there could start making connections if he wasn't careful. And while he pretty much had no choice but to trust Crimson Tiger to not make a big deal about his only-somewhat-secret identity, Gaian Knight was (to him) an unknown. Kit wasn't really known to him as directly, but she was another Claremont student, so it was a similar situation. The geokinetic seemed like a good guy, though. And the lady with him, while a bit scary, actually seemed pretty nice. In an "I'll beat you over the head if you're ornery, and break the legs of any villain stupid enough to attack us" sort of way. So Thoughtspeed opted for humor. "Will I get to race any of the little ones? Also, are we going to rig me with a high-speed camera at all?"

William gave a smile and nod to their hosts once more as Chase led them onwards. For a bit of time, he was content to quietly follow, drinking in the sights of being on the moon as he relaxed a bit, a smile slowly growing on his face as he began to thoroughly enjoy himself. He did pipe up when Chase mentioned the tour. "Will there be a period during our stay where we'll be free to roam around on our own? I mean, obviously there are restricted areas or whatever, but will we have to stick to a schedule the entire time we're up here?"

Nevermore was listening to his fellows, but his gaze was clearly scanning the alleyways around the target building. "I'll have to ask the police if I can have a couple of those nightsticks when we're done. The battery tech could come in handy. The Boss Lady might like something like that. Hm...perhaps a system we could mount on our gloves?" The last bit was half-muttered to himself, one of his gauntlet-covered hands tapping his chin in thought. Then suddenly he jerked a bit, his gaze focusing on one of the warehouse windows. He'd seen the silhouette, a decidedly inhuman figure. "Either of you see that? I have a feeling, suddenly, that this gang's name isn't just for sounding tough..." He glanced at Solvrytter. "You ever tangled with threats that were, ah, larger than human? What about you, Polarity?"

The chains swung out for Gabriel...and at the last moment, the Irishman batted them aside with his bow and spear. He gave his opponent a level look, even as the White Horse he sat upon stood there calmly. As if neither rider nor beast was very impressed. "I've already embraced Truth. You're just peddling madness." A deep breath, and another window-shaking scream lashed out, hitting the maddened fallen angel head-on. "Maybe you were too weak to handle your job." Another breath. Another scream. Another wave buffeting the terrible armor and resilience of the twisted attacker on the Gates.

"He might be a Nice Guy. I'm not. Where did you find the dumpster full of gear?" He suddenly turned, swinging the would-be Dragon gang member around and slamming him onto the ground. It was a calculated move; hard enough to bring some pain and knock a bit of wind out of him, but not so hard he would prevent him from speaking or seriously injure him. The young crime-fighter also ensured the man's head didn't bounce off the concrete. Had to keep the suspect conscious to interrogate him. "Where were you supposed to deliver your target? Where is Devin! Where!" When the thug finished giving him the last piece of the puzzle, Nevermore grinned. And proceeded to deliver a punch that would knock the punk senseless, followed by a nerve strike to send him to the land of dreams for a while.

"You didn't mention a "dangerous secret" before. Who said it was dangerous?" Nevermore's inhuman eyes loomed closer as he pushed the punk a bit harder against the wall. "If you think the Dragons are scarier than me, perhaps we need to have a few more lessons to correct your misunderstanding. So. Who told you to come after this man? What did they promise you as a reward?"

The big American boy just grinned at Christina. "The only difference between treasure hunting and military recon is what you're looking for. We just get to take more pictures this way. Smartphones and cameras out, everyone!" Corbin fell into a position about midway along the line of explorers, trusting Indira and Kimber to watch his back and have sharper senses than he did. When they reached the canyon, Corbin raised an eyebrow at the skill displayed by the 3 locals, but made no fuss of it. "That's the spirit of adventure and exploration! Just what we need today." With that, the Hughes scion hopped down, displaying an amount of grace that was positively shocking for someone his size as he all but bounced from side to side of the canyon walls before landing in a crouch on the ground.

Gabriel sits astride his mighty steed, gazing steadily at the corrupted being before him. Part of him wished he could continue to bolster the resolve of his allies, but at this time, he knew, instinctively, that his full attention must be upon this battle. His opening salvo had failed. It was no matter; he had the measure of his foe now, and knew what he would need to do to bring him low. As part of his brain went about ordering the nodules in his body to reconfigure the sound waves they constantly generated, altering the frequency and wavelength a bit, he spoke. His voice carried upon his immediate battlefield, but did not ring across the city. Still, it carried a certain weight to itself. "You. Will. Try." He took a deep breath.... And screamed. It was not the scream of a mortal man, though; it was a scream of a demigod, of an archangel, of a being touched by powers beyond the ken of many in the world. That scream, though, was but a faint echo of sound to everyone but Conquest. The angels and twisted things alike heard an oddly ringing and echoing yell that carried a terrible purpose to it. That yell carried far and wide, though much beyond the Gates it was a barest whisper. It was a wordless battle cry. But more importantly, it was a flensing blow to the Thing in front of Carson. Instead of seeking to knock him down or out, these waves pushed and tore at his defenses, seeking to break down that otherworldly protection he bore, to lay him bare to the coming judgement.
