"Yeah it is cute, but people callin' me by my cute baby nickname isn't something I want right now on a date with a pretty, kickass girl" Subito grumbled, though he smiled shyly in thanks all the same. It meant a lot to him when Cerys lightened up. That and she knew how much he loved to talk about people he liked. And underselling them was never an issue! Sauntering closer to the people getting the meal ready by the lake he said innocently "What am I s'posed to do, Blodeu? Tell my Mom and Dad you're not a female Welsh James Bond? Hey Jose, hey Frank!" Drawing up to the large blanket near the lake bank, he cheerfully hollered a greeting to some young men, apparently cousins of his, who were carrying a cooler that seemed to weigh several tons. They took a moment to remove a hand from the cooler to wave at the pair, especially Cerys. Laughing as they nearly dropped the load Subito then added to her, looking just a little more serious "I've told 'em you're from Wales, that you're with a family of monster-hunters, and you can fight crazy-good. Galanta was especially curious how good you could fight, and whether or not we had slept together." He blushed and glanced away "She's got, uh...concerns-yrk!" Subito suddenly found himself clasped in a bear hug by his imposingly-built sister, who beamed pleasantly at Cerys from under an identical American flag baseball cap that let her waist-length ponytail wave freely, her simple white t-shirt emblazoned with the words "LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL" in red and blue. "Hola there!" she said with a flash of teeth, offering a powerful hand to the young agent of the Order "I'm Galanta Sondo, 'Bito's sister. You must be his girlfriend Cerys, it's great to meet you! He's told us you're a really good fighter, seems most of his pals at that school are."

Also, any thoughts how this will start off? Supercape, care to share any plans you've made in that regard? Not required obviously, but getting an idea what we shall do would help give this a bit of direction beyond it being something we're going to try and do. Tiff, anything more on the psychic virus that gave rise to the evil equality people? Maybe a backup plan for the Headcase plan that went very badly wrong?

Okay then. So now we have another player in the drama of the family Farrington!

Flying straight into the new trap, El Heraldo barked in frustration, his curse short and muffled by the sudden constriction around his chest and lungs. Still airborne, he very briefly made a near-perfect arch as the electric shock blasted through his body, a shout of pain ringing through the room along with the hissing crackle of lightning as it lashed and stabbed into him! After a seeming eternity the charges were spent, and he was still conscious, if wracked with pain and seriously regretting it. "Whoever's doing this is just psycho-crazy..." Subito muttered to himself, gritting his teeth as he tested the wires wrapped around his body, Finding a weak spot he grinned in triumph, muscles standing out beneath his thick jacket as he began to slowly break the cables with raw power. "Gotta get to the others, Tsunami's probably got a better idea how to deal with traps than me." he commented aloud, keeping an eye on the launchers that had shot him in case he needed to try and dodge again.

GM Despite how unsteady and groggy the young woman seemed, Mary fought off Pitch's attempted grab with a strength far beyond anything her own slight frame would suggest, her face momentarily constricted into a rictus of fury as she spat "Don't touch me, filth! You have no idea how hard I've worked, how that thing's taken over my life and given me nothing, nothing until now, when the true power of music is revealed to me at last! Nobody can take it from me, it's me and mine, nobod-aaaaargh!" her tirade was abruptly cut off as Riff's powers hammered against the instrument her soul was lashed to, smashing the cover nearly in half, snapping wires and sending a wail of agony through the air from both Mary, and the thin voice at the edge of hearing! "No, not this, not when I am almost complete!"

You have 40PP in Feats rather than 38 or 37, otherwise your math checks out to a cursory glance. Make note where the Protection is coming from.

"...No" Subito managed after an effort that seemed to pry at his brain. He blinked in surprise at hearing himself, feeling the overpowering urge to just give up, to stop fighting die away into a broiling anger. Gripping the Bandera with all his might he said "You want to make all the nations bow to Atlantis, not even to join it, to be slaves to you" Even on another island El Heraldo could feel the powerful desire for freedom, for independence, to never again serve some far-off power that the spirits of nations had. "You know how evil that is, what that tyranny will do to us, and you don't care because we're not as strong as you." The power of the Blue Dame sprang to life around him in a golden light, and Subito took a step backwards as his fists seemed to catch fire. Fixing the strange Atlantean wizard with his eye, the young paragon barked "As I live Puerto Rico, Cuba nor any other island will fall, the world will never serve Atlantis again! Tell your masters that!" He shouted, leaping forward and slamming his fist straight into his enemy's face backed by a country's power!

Sitting on a breathtakingly ornate and elegant marble temple bench and tearing a daintily-roasted fish with considerable relish while watching the Atlantean proceedings, the Aztec fishman enjoyed a faint stirring of familiarity as the time-honored ritual went on. The effect of being underwater but not in water was hardly pleasant, but by now he was relaxed enough that the constant wash and tug of the waves far above had become a faint background noise to his heightened sense of touch. "This is how they used to start questioning in the armies, when we didn't know who the traitor was" he confided lightly to the two young women nearby "Two or three steps more, and we found them for certain." Resting his mighty elbows on his knees he leaned forward to try and catch more of what the gathered magicians were saying. He felt the waves slow around them, but payed it no mind at first, so faint was the sensation of all those unimaginable tons of murky water beginning to still. Squinting at the gathered Atlanteans for an especially suspicious-looking face, Nochehuatl opened his mouth to continue talking only for the first syllable to die in his throat. By now the sea had definitely began grinding to a halt, and to someone born in water its swirling motion was as taken for granted as breathing. Staring at the floor and its many-faceted mosaic, he grated abruptly "Children, do you feel anything strange?" he glanced up sharply at the ceiling "I believe we might soon be under attack again." "Watersingers! What is happening, have you felt the sea do this before?" he called out, jumping to his feet with a dull *thud* and a jangle of his armor.

As the page image indicates I decided to go with basically a PL7 version of Razputin Aquato, the main character from the Double Fine video game Psychonauts, seeing as he's in a government institute for teaching psychics, albeit by choice instead of necessity. AEGIS gets a relatively low profile on here, because this is a superheroes game and not a super-agents one, but a training camp for psychics is a setting detail rich with opportunity for new characters. He's not a themed psychic, more a generalist that can fit a lot of concepts at once. Dropping or changing the powers in the Array would go a long way to further defining and the character's mental powers. Obviously he's not 'armored like a tank' mentally like Raz is, and lacks Pyrokinesis and Levitation(besides the Slow-Fall, where you grab your thought balloon and drift safely to Earth), making those good options for future APs, or maybe replacements for the ones he already has. Or maybe drop a few ranks in relevant Skills, Abilities and Combat points to get those powers right off the bat. Another thing to note is that he's not really like a soldier, he doesn't have any ranks in Tactics or Master Plan, or many other signs of a military kind of training. Something to keep in mind if that's more your thing. He's got some clear weaknesses, especially Skill-wise where he's not going to be beating any experts and being dependent on a huge Array to do anything of real value, but for a PL7 character you could go far worse. How does he get his powers? Well most teens and kids with psychic powers are mutant humans and so on like Eve Martel and her family or exposed to cosmic energy sources like Psyche, a T-Baby, so those are two very broad, awesome choices. The villains Professor Psion, Mastermind and the Cosmic Mind might have a hand in them getting powers as well, though each have very different angles(Psion wanting to make humanity a race of superhumans, the Cosmic Mind not really caring about what she does to humans, and Mastermind with his backing of Preserver technology) that could turn out very interestingly when played out. Other options include things like 'enlightenment', being an alien like the Lor mentats, magical influences, power from the gods, demonic possession, and so on. There is always another way to do a concept. (Bear in mind that you should always ask about using that kind of tie. Don't be me!) Next up, an Eyespy Cadet who fits the 'spy' part a lot better...

GM The newly confident Mary positively reeled at that attack, the woman striking hard against the invisible deluge of sonic battery that knocked her almost off the backless chair! She struggled briefly to regain her seat, but coughed weakly after a few seconds of effort and mostly collapsed, the well-dressed pianist's outfit decidedly more casual after Riff's onslaught. Slumping backwards in a way that looked nearly impossible given Earth's gravity, as though something had caught her, Mary mumbled weakly "I'm gonna get the Disneyland..." At the edges of their hearing, the heroes heard a faint sniggering "Yes, yes, this is perfect" muttered the whispy voice "More...more...I am so close..."

So, seeing as this guy is talking about forcibly joining nations together without their consent, Heraldo will now attack him. Strike Accurate Attack(+2 Attack, -2 Damage): 27. DC24 Toughness save for him. EDIT: Also, Initiative roll if required: 20.

GM The shivering man was sent flying backwards and into the wall behind him, slamming against it with a harsh sound of metal on bone and then collapsing. Even before he hit the ground however, the others mutated by the Proteus compound were making their own moves. One, his skin slimy and green and head grotesquely swollen, hurled himself at Gabriel, the man's arms suddenly extending as they swung around the holy sound controller in loops of iron...only for those arms to close on Protonik instead as the nuclear man seemed to simply appear inside the coils, replacing Gabriel in a red/brown blur. The froglike man gave a baffled exclamation in Czech, but grinned in triumph as his arms and legs completely surrounded Aleksander, his expression suddenly changing to one of horror as his foe swept him off with a brisk reprimand in Russian and a jarring swing of his arms! Two others, the man who resembled a black hole and a woman who appeared to be mostly composed of snakes, turned their attention to Young Britannia's patriotic self. <"Your ruling monsters shall be dethroned!"> thundered the man in Greek, as his body suddenly emitted a roiling current of gravity that slammed into her with...surprisingly less force than seemed right. <"Death to nationalism!"> bellowed the woman in Protuguese as all the serpent's heads swung around to glare at her...and spat several streams of clear venom at her eyes! "Your family put mine our of business, al-Misri!" snarled a tall Finnish man whose skin glowed with an internal furnace, his opened mouth letting loose a blast of radiation and fire that crashed into Asad like a wave of solar death, a dark-haired and cold-eyed man leaping out of the pack to swing his arms at the energy-absorber, his arms elongating into two mighty steel cords that crashed against his skin like whips. While those two attacked, another man left the pack to hurl himself the billionaire, flying across the room in a red streak and punching Asad savagely in the throat, slamming his hands and feet into the floor to stop himself from moving, his body thrumming audibly with kinetic power. "Guys, we can't let ourselves get distracted! We gotta keep them from Mr. Motley!" The last two hung back, one turning some of the air around the attacking squad to watery ropes, and looping it quickly around them, the liquid bonds striving to pin them all together. A previously unseen shadow jumped up from the floor, quickly forming himself into a sphere of darkness that hid most of the mutates from sight.

GM The wash of sonic power hummed through the possessed pianist and the devilish piano, causing a low wail like screeching wires to come from it, and Mary to rattle and twitch as her body fought to recover some kind of equilibrium among the sound waves battering its nerves! With a *snap*, she was abruptly still and Riff's sound waves went dead, sitting ramrod straight on the bench and looking Riff in the eye. Though hers were rather glazed and she was obviously still badly shaken from the brutal sonic strike, clothes battered and impeccable hair in chaos, the woman still managed to present a somewhat dignified front to the guitar genius and the infernal binder. "Oh thank god, he's got control over his powers" muttered Celeste in relief as she ducked out of the hall "Hope that other one doesn't burn any of the curtains or chairs. It'd be a nightmare to clean. Good a time as any to call the police I suppose"

Liberty Park, Sunset Lake lakeside path, Freedom City, July 4th, Wednesday 11.45 AM "So, seein' as we're pro'lly goin' back to 'Rico on the 21st, this is their last big chance to meet ya!" Subito explained cheerily to Cerys, comfortably walking down the shady yet heated path with an arm around her waist and his hand on her hip. The teen paragon positively glowed with health and excitement, wearing his usual white t-shirt and shorts, both emblazoned with the American and Puerto Rican flags, a baseball cap overtop his curly hair with the same colors completing the patriotic ensemble. Pausing for a moment, he looked fully at her and smiled fondly, kissing her on the cheek "Thanks Blodeu. For sayin' yes, I mean. I was gonna ask you to come over to meet my family, but...well..." he shrugged helplessly and looked away, the memory of the brief but harrowing capture and imprisonment bubbling up. With a jolt he shook off the gloom, grinned at Cerys and resumed their brisk walk. By now the lake was visible through the mouth of the trees, like a rippling field of jewels dotted by rowboats and sailing boats, even a few professional rowers practicing on the dancing water. On the grass a large group of Hispanics was busy setting up a picnic spread. Subito took a breath to shout a greeting, only for one of them, an especially tall and very strongly-built young woman who bore a striking resemblance to Subito, caught sight of the pair leaving the trees and bellowed out happily "HEY THERE, 'BITO! GET OVER HERE AND HELP!" Closing his mouth with a *click*, the young man blushed crimson and muttered "They called me that when I was a kid. A lot. They didn't do it any more until last year, when Serge and Vic came over to visit. Now they do it all the time." He rolled his eyes, then caught hers and the irritation vanished. "We're gonna have a picnic, go to Hero's Knoll, we're gonna see everything! it'll be AWESOME!"
