GM The splashings and sizzling noises as the Artifizoids were consumed echoed in the cavern, soon joined by a raucous hail of blaster-fire, electric jolts as the bizarre weaponry discharged hissing streaks of light that slammed into the young heroes! Now close enough to the central catwalk to fire with the accuracy they needed, the three last robots had their chance to put a stop to the prisoners of Professor Parsec! The three shots lanced into the backs and torsos of the Claremont students, burning through their costumes and shocking them with brutish pain. Morsa gave a strangled cry and slumped against the door, clutching his chest. Above Net Fly and Warp, the other two began making their way jerkily down the ramps and steps, voices grinding out the syllables "Cease this resistance. Or further pain will be inflicted! Thus says Professor Parsec!"

The Meta-Grue could take Tyrone's use of a Grue weapon as an insult to his race(which he's going to rule after all) and attacks Graft at his hosptial. The alien warrior has an edge: he understands shapeshifting and the lifeform bonded to Tyrone in ways Graft still has no idea. EDIT: Apparently this doesn't quite work, nevermind!

Apparently the rules are a bit vague on that score. It's 1d20 + the vehicle's STR bonus + the driver's Pilot skill let's say. No Skill Mastery.

By all permissible, I shall move this along faster, especially since we're near the end. Also I think I forgot to roll the Loyalists and Rebels last time. Astounding. Round 4: Parsinkle: Bruised(x1)-GM Rebel Fey(x15): 2 Bruised(x1), 13 Unharmed-GM Loyalist Fey(x3): Unharmed-GM Rene de Saens: Unharmed, Geased, 4HP King of Suits: Unharmed, Geased, 4HP Parsinkle the Prince of the Recaps attacks with a hitherto-unused power: the rank 10 Area Damage! DC20 Reflex saves for the Rebels: All but five fail it. And their Toughness saves, those who made it: One succeeds, 1 Bruised. Those who failed it: Five manage to get only Bruises, with 3 Bruised and Dazed. The rest fail and are fallen. Rebels(x10): attack Parsinkle and Loyalists. #4 uses the Brush to make some Illusions of more Rebels pouring in to confuse Parsinkle. The Prince can't see through it(yet). Attack rolls against the Redcap Ruler: None hit. Against the Loyalists: 2 hits. Their DC21 Toughness saves:One failure one success. The Last Two Loyalists Strike Back: Both hit. DC23 Toughness saves for those struck: One failure, one success. Rene is up!

Well if it's a mysterious ancient structure, SHADOW might want something inside it, and send in Overthrow goons to soften up the security for a sneaky retrieval. That way, evil terrorists to be fought by Iron Clad without bringing in any real militant groups.

For one of the two unknown NPCs: Champion/Francis Jenne. A flying strongman with powers awoken by alien technology. In 1979, 25 year old Francis was caught in the middle of a bizarre attack on the coastal town of Whitby, when a long-dormant ship rose from the sea and tried to take it over. He and the other prisoners managed to win their freedom when local heroes attacked the ship, but in the struggle his body was flooded with radiation from the ship's bursting power core, his bloodstream filled with extraterrestrial minerals that gave him extraordinary power while he was exposed to them, but which left if he couldn't get near them after a period of days. Taking the name 'Champion' he flung himself into superheroics, operating solo for several years before being invited by the Ministry of Powers to head the new Team UK, who wanted a popular, photogenic and clean-cut English hero to serve as the group's face and symbol to the public. To sweeten the deal, they offered to give him greater access to the vanishingly rare substance that gave him his powers. During his time on the team he's clashed on several occasions with Headcase and Lucy Diamond, his idealism and forthrightness jarring badly with the pragmatic and reserved psychic, and the psychedelic Lucy's liberalism struck sparks with Francis' conservatism. That aside, the four heroes gradually got into a working relationship, respecting each others' abilities and nature as they grew closer, and saved each other from scrape after scrape. EDIT: Changed name to Champion, no longer tied to Mastermind.

The colorfully-clad boy winced at Net Fly's stern reminder, knowing that it was true. He was being careless, and acting way too much like he and the others were invincible just because the people they'd been fighting didn't have powers. Serge's recent injury got a deep wince of sympathy, Subito knew what it felt like to get beat up. In a far more subdued tone he replied "I'm...I'm sorry Surge. We need to stay focused and not get cocky, you got it. It's just good to get out and do stuff, we hardly do anything together these days." Graduation was quickly approaching, and hung over the 2011 students. "Don't worry, I won't let my guard down and you can count on me having your backs! Tonight will go a lot better than that time with Morsa, I promise. By the way," the powerfully-built teen grinned slyly "What do you think of Kat? I bet-" the rest was cut off as his ears caught Giang's words, and he practically beamed. "You bet I'd be disappointed Tsunami!" Heraldo called down cheerfully "The more miscreants we vanquish means the fewer other heroes will have to contend with! Besides," he said with a grin "this is for those folks who can't fight crime like we can! Southside's got a lotta problems, and they'll sleep better knowin' they've got people in their corner too." Falling slightly closer to the roofs for easier talking, the patriotic paragon peered at the ground below while listening for the faintest sound of a struggle, for the clink of metal, the thud of punches, for silhouettes fighting in an alley. Subito didn't actually expect they would meet anyone who really needed superpowers to defeat, but the boisterous young man could still hope! Glancing at the two girls he added more gently "Thanks for coming along, Tsu. Don't get much chance to do stuff with you lately, and besides that one time in the Lost World I don't think I've ever seen you fight for real. And Warp!" he switched his attention to the teleporting mutant with an excited smile "That was an awesome sales pitch! I had no idea you could talk like that! Thanks for backing me up there. Anyway, I'd better stop talking." he said, with a faint blush of embarrassment that showed up even in the golden hue his skin got under the Banner's light. With a deep *whoosh* he swept back into position, scanning the darkened city below them for danger...

Roi had already started heading for the door when he heard the faint sounds outside. Heart quickening with fear he struggled to walk calmly across the bar floor, though his pace quickened almost imperceptibly until he darted out of the Wild Joker at top speed! Lunging into the rainsoaked streets of Freedom, the young Frenchman took in at a glance the situation: Agnes diving for cover, two thugs emerging from an alleyway with murder in their eyes and Hatchet with a..hatchet slashing wildly at the air. "What is this madness? Get away from her!" Assuming that she'd thrown something into his eyes, Roi groped for the Deck and pulled it free, whipping a card at random from it and holding it aloft so it caught the light! It was a Knave of Hearts, standing desolate in a ruined field, his eyes gleaming with a sorrow that drove right into the heart and turned limbs to lead. Averting his own eyes Roi cried "There's no point fighting! Leave us alone!"

From his body he can fire torrents of brilliantly-colored water, unleash a hail of meteors formed from sheer force of will, throw columns of iridescent fire or turn air into a glittering, scything whirl of power. History: The royal house of Teltross once ruled a dozen stars with tremendous power and derring-do. It took the rise of the Star Khan to bend the proud family, and they never relinquished their old glory. Prince Zanvir V, youngest son of that line, has made quite a name for himself throughout the galaxy. Born in the midst of splendor and ease, Zanvir soon grew bored with that and began roaming the nearby worlds, endlessly searching for adventures. Despite his family's best efforts he rapidly acquired a taste for hijacking tribute ships, getting into bar brawls that leveled towns and making the lords for light years around grit their teeth just hearing his name! At last his exploits had become a source of very real embarrassment for his family and his mother the Queen banished him from the kingdom in a rage, bodily hurling him out of the solar system. At first the prince was perfectly happy soaring through space and seeking out riches to take(though he mostly gave them back afterwards), mighty powers to strive against and beautiful aliens to take on whirlwind adventures of passion. After a while though, he realized that something was missing; something solid, something real. He wanted something to call his own! It was a realization that struck him half-way through the magnificent party held by the magnate Iltivas, considering the best way to steal the several-hundred-ton emerald that was the pride and centerpiece of his collection. At that precise moment, Captain Silvia and the crew of the Ages Lost burst through the ceiling. To say that the sight of the smiling, confident one-armed pirate holding the needle-thin tycoon at sword-point stirred his heart is an understatement. It also provided the distraction he needed to hoist the house-sized emerald on one shoulder, warmly congratulate Stormbreaker and make his getaway. The pair crossed paths many times after that, often trying to steal the same priceless artifacts, free the same captive royal, or make a fool of the same tyrant. Sometimes the prince even lived on her ship and helped with her bigger heists, but they never became more than especially tense friends, ready at a moment's notice to double, quadruple, or even one memorable time where they managed to sextuple cross each other. Luckily they only crossed swords a few times in their career together, and parted at last on more or less good terms, Zanvir jovially wishing her all the best as the Dragon of the Summer Breeze set off for that obscure backwater world called 'Earth'. In the brief time they were apart, the prince hurled himself whole-heartedly into the life of a space-pirate, even capturing a fast stealth ship out from under the noses of the Lor Navy. He christened her the Celestia, after the ship he first traveled Teltross's oceans on. He's reinvented himself in those years to become the dashing and daring buccaneer known only as Captain Cerise, gathering a loyal crew from all across the major powers of the galaxy. He's gotten bored with the fast life, however, and decided he should go see what riches Silvia's found on Earth that were worth so much trouble, and what kind of trouble he can get himself into! Personality & Motivation: Zanvir is confident, daring and full of vigor. Sadly these are in service to a man who has developed monumental selfishness and arrogance, an incorrigible flirt and interstellar Casanova who can barely be said to care about anyone besides himself. Captain Cerise's idea of a good time is to listen around for tales of valuable objects, take them in the most flamboyant manner possible and enrage everyone he can in the process before making a quick getaway. As Zanvir he likes to wander the planet of the year, throwing himself headlong into every kind of escapade available with an honest love of adventure and novelty. His wits are quick, but his judgement is often conspicuously lacking, especially when it comes to his choice of lovers and doing things with any kind of efficiency. He'd rather duel a worthy foe aboard a flaming wreck than make his escape if there is the least chance of both of them getting out alive. He has long lost every shred of aristocratic bearing, inhabiting the role of the rough and ready stellar swashbuckler with boundless enthusiasm. Powers & Tactics: If at all possible, Captain Cerise likes to create a splash at the start of a fight, some kind of showy display to make things interesting. He's more concerned with flair than efficiency, but is nonetheless a skilled fighter who uses his agility and power of getting attention to great effect. Using his Ultra Powers is something he avoids unless absolutely necessary to keep his ship or crew intact, preferring to fight people with handicaps to maximize the victory when he wins and minimize the loss when he loses. "Net Fly, my comrade-in-arms," El Heraldo declared solemnly as he did a barrel roll over Southside "Never in all my life have I beheld such foes as we face tonight. That guy with the knife was just terrifying. And that guy who I guess tried to punch Tsunami was a master of the deadly art of missing!" Breaking the sarcastic gravity with a grin, the glowing paragon swooped elegantly through the air under Serge, the golden flag that blazed around him waving majestically in an invisible wind. He kept his arms outstretched, so he could quickly bring them to bear should anything happen. Not that he was all that worried, he thought as he glanced down at the flickering forms of Giang and Kat as they flashed across the rooftops. Between them they were three of the more powerful students he'd met, and not a lot fazed the dashing Puerto Rican! The only downside he could see was that Blodeuwedd wasn't along. But at least he could bring back a few funny stories! Turning back to the city below, he keened his powerful hearing on it, searching for the least sign of danger!

Perhaps blow it to shrapnel while shining the sun's rays on you with mirrors? Or whatever it is that people do to fight vampires? Waiting for a very dangerous enemy to act first is perilous. Besides, take a look under the door, " he added encouragingly, scooting a few feet away from the bathroom "you can see quite well that it's much darker than it was even seconds ago!" "Please, at least open the door a crack, de Saens and I will stay at the other end of the room as a show of good faith" he gestured hurriedly to Rene to follow him over to the crisp drawer "we want to explain the situation of the town and some rules to you, and after our discussion we'll depart and leave you in peace."

The young man lay still for a few moments, looking glumly at the ceiling. 'It was the right thing to do' was a pretty cold comfort right then. Closing his eyes he took a long breath, waited to cool down a little, and then got up. Crossing the room he ducked under the window to look up the snow-crusted wall, scanning for the handholds Cerys had used on her climb. The sight wasn't encouraging, but there was nothing else for it. With a smooth motion Subito launched upwards, delicately and studiously making his way up the side of the apartment building. It took a lot less than he felt it did, and a few minutes later he rolled onto the roof next to Blodeuwedd. Panting and grinning up at her he managed a soft "Hey Blodeu. Thought you and the air could use a little company." Sitting up and dangling his legs off the hard cement he kissed her gently on the lips, put a warm arm around her waist and nestled her against him. Time melted away as they sat there, gazing up at the stars. They couldn't hear so much as a tire-squeal or a call for help. All was quiet in Freedom City. In those hours before bed, all was perfect as crystal.
