  5. El Heraldo de la Dama Azul, the young man in the jaw-droppingly loud pants who bore in his heart the resplendent power of Puerto Rico, zoomed out of the sky in a flare of gold! Landing on the ground with a flare of the Banner he carried on his back and a tap of his leather boots, El Heraldo stepped into the courtroom, doffing his magnificent feathered cap for the benefit of the photographers, smiling and waving cheerfully at everyone around. "You ready for this Glow? ' Cause I sure am! We're gonna put this guy away for good!" he said to his schoolmate, beaming excitement as he walked quickly over to Meddows, hastily suppressing the jolt in his stomach as he caught sight of the ruggedly attractive policeman. "Hey Captain Meddows! It's good to see you again!" he said, shaking the man's hand energetically "Hope he didn't give you too much trouble?" Getting in step beside the captain, the flamboyantly-dressed teen actually managed to look dignified and confident! After a brief silence, the muscular Hispanic boy turned to their liaison "Well sir, what does the prosecutor need from us?" he glanced around a little nervously as they entered the courtroom, and fought the impulse to glare at El Sierpe when the huge man came into view.

GM The telekinetic explosion flashed within the cloud of darkness and ripped the girl clean out of Nephilim's many-armed embrace, sending several of his limbs whirling across the Plaza. They didn't spill so much as a drop of blood. Taken by surprise, the unnaturally beautiful man was perfectly quiet and still for several seconds. Then, from the dark very close to her, Glow heard him say "I hear your thoughts. Can't hide from me. You're more trouble than you're worth. If your friend here wasn't so skittish I'd use her instead. Be still!" he snapped, a fist slamming out of nowhere into her gut and sending her sprawling across the pavement, a surviving tentacle pointing at the sky just barely visible above "Looks like some of my pals are back in business! Marduk, Maria, took you two long enough!" As he spoke, a red light suddenly lashed through the air a few feet above Warp's head, and without further ado the familiar red-robed magician and the blue-costumed speedster topped onto the pavement, Marduk barking in pain as the blonde woman landed heavily on his leg, kicking her off him with a furious motion. Just as she was about to round on him Nephilim's voice rolled from the cloud of darkness "Stop. Make the shield, keep them" he pointed at the incoming Leagers with a swaying tentacle "from interrupting us!" Looking sheepish for a moment, the pair nodded and dashed into action. With a sonorous word Marduk raised his hand, causing a sphere of golden force to softly and smoothly rush from him to encompass most of the Branson Plaza and its Building. It was covered with cuneiform writing and wavered in the air only to turn to a sheet of glassy material at a snap of the magician's fingers. "Reinforce it Rapids!" he called out, the speedster nodding an darting into action, running on the sphere like it was a road and leaving a trail of condensed water behind her, the blurring woman turning it into a secondary shield that was probably just as powerful! "These are the financial records?" Nicki Hawthorne nodded slowly, keeping a close eye on the man with the burning eyes as he scanned the sheaf of documents hurriedly, sighing and slumping his shoulders as he caught the telltale name at the dotted line. The leader of Roseus stiffened as a burning hand was suddenly turned in her direction. Fire seemed to steal behind the man's eyes, and flicker on his tongue. "I have what I want, and you know too much. Prepare yourself" Suddenly, that stun gun was so much more comforting!
  7. OOC thread for Phantasmagore appears threatening Farside City, and there's a band of heroes ready to take him down!
  8. GM April 1st, 2013. 11.45 AM Bridge of the Grievance Heart, In orbit of the Far Side of the Moon The red-skinned creature in the squat chair was thin and almost overcome by the folds, swaths and shadows of its voluminous red/black cloak and long green robe. Lean as a rail and with a narrow face drawn tight over its malleable skull supported by a hand cushioned with a supple black glove, two green eyes blazing luminously. The room about ihm was dark and cold, ancient metal supporting a myriad of viewscreens that droned out endless reports in languages even older. The lights scattered around the floor and ceiling burned with a crystalline blue, giving the place a mysterious cast that Phantasmagore, Grue Arcane and master wizard, liked immensely. He stared at the viewscreen directly before the chair once held by some forgotten child of the stars, gazing thoughtfully at the warm blue and green and brown circle shining in the distance, and from it to the gray fields of rock and dust of the satellite kilometers away, from them to the glittering city of spires in the smooth crater. 'No reason to overplay myself' the Grue thought placidly, tapping a nearby button that sent a roar of power into the engines of the Grievance Heart, one-time superweapon of the Lor Imperial Armada, and propelled the enormous angular craft serenely towards Farside City! One hour later... "Attention, people of Earth!" thundered the voice from every loudspeaker in Freedom City, as the unmistakable face of a Grue appeared on every screen. Glaring out at his audience, Phantasmagore stood in the middle of a mystic light show, rearing up to his full height as the wizard's robe swirled in a mysterious breeze. Pointing a hand at the screen, the alien mage declared "I have the city on the Moon in the sights of hundred-kiloton cannons, a full plasma battery and a planet-cracking beam. I dare you to stop me before I reduce your precious satellite to a cloud of dust! And by the way..." an ironic smile appeared smoothly as his face grew a mouth "If I detect anyone from the Freedom League, I will not hesitate to take action. The very best of luck to you!" With a faint electronic whine, the signal hijacking ceased and his image vanished. Approximately ten minutes and an emergency conference later, the Freedom League had sent out a quick series of coded messages to AEGIS headquarters and Director Harry Powers, a dispatch to the star galleon Ages Lost, Johnny Rocket raced to the door of Henry Mason, and Jennifer Fray at FLSCH(Freedom League Special Circumstances Housing) received a very terse call. All of them were directed to the same point, almost 20,000 feet above the city and directly above Freedom Hall..
  9. The Aztec triton glowered at the Deep One, mostly out of ingrained habit. The twisted Atlanteans and the children of the sea gods had little love lost between them. Dropping him brusquely on the floor he gurgled "Our thanks. These small-eyed wretches wish to flood the uncovered earth," he told the two human girls, turning an enormous black eye in their general directions "their god desires greater dominion, and has allied himself somehow with the watersingers of Atlantis itself!" he gestured to the summoning pool with a claw "Those marine magicians were the ones who did this, it seems they have torn Dread Leviathan into pieces, the better to wield His power." Wandering over to the pile of Deep Ones, he went on darkly "They have a deep grudge against your race. If their god's power is joined to the might of Atlantis, the entire surface world is in danger. We must put a stop to this at once. They have many arms not yet unleashed. If you a;ready know how to reach Atlantis, so much the better." Spinning around with a rustle of scales to face the only conscious one left, he snarled gutturally "Who is behind this?"

Yes, that is the case. Editing. Sorry for not fixing that right away.
  11. What a time to be several centuries out of the loop! Old Noche needs to go and get reacquainted with some pals, maybe pay a few debts that need paying in the big city...

    Zap!(OOC)

Notice: Warp sees that among the tangle of piled machinery and unused robot parts is a hidden door, and that several blasters are loose in a partially-concealed rack. Knowledge(Technology): Net Fly discovers these robots are made of more of individually-made parts. They're relatively rudimentary robots, without the fine computing parts for true AI. Also, he could totally use the electronic equipment and power cells for improvised weapons.

    Zap! (IC)

GM Morsa didn't so much as flinch when Serge neatly whisked him into place between the other two. Nodding shortly at the blond boy's instructions, he glanced around the room as the trio barged into it, obviously noting the half-built robots and electrical gear strewn about the disheveled workbenches. "I am unfamiliar with this planet's robotics, could we use these" he indicated the tools and partially-attached weapons "against this Professor's minions? As well, I hope we can analyze some of this man's equipment. It must be formidable to be able to warp space and our powers like this" he added with a tone of quiet awe. Checking the carapace of one unfinished android with a critical azure eye he frowned "As well, it is pronounced Morsa, no hard zz."
  15. A most gloriously happy birthday to you, Team Mom Electra! May your charges be swift and obedient and your day full of stuff not going wrong! Hip-hip hoorah! :toot:
  16. Hero Point to both of them for the setback of their plans.

    Divine Theft (OOC)

Fair enough. DC48 opposed Grapple roll: 41. She's free! Round 14. Order: Nephilim: Bruise(x1)-GM Glow: Bruise(x2). Staggered, Dazzled, Fatigued, 3HP Warp: Bruise(x1), 2HP First off, GM Fiating(+1 Hero Point to both) that Marduk and Rapidsfire break out of the dimensional pocket, and set up a barrier that the visiting Freedom League International can't break through very easily. Nephi shall punch Glow: 33. Natural 20, Critical Hit. DC33 TOU save for Glow.
  18. Darnit! So sorry Grans. Anyway, that nets the pair of them a +3 bonus to attack, save and skill rolls in the upcoming fight, and gives them an idea for the same plan that will work very well. Will write it up tomorrow, sorry again. EDIT: The heavy soldiers are cumbersome enough that they could be taken out early by explosions. The resulting confusion would be enough to take down the leading officers, and the ensuing chaos would make the rest of the soldiers relatively easy to defeat.
  19. Sorry SC! Going with Roi leaving a bit after Agnes. Notice: 23, Initiative: 4.

    Are You French Enough?

Leaving the 'cute' bit alone except for a bashful smile, the powerfully-built teen slid to a graceful halt on the polished floor. "If goin' out with me is the most normal thing you've ever done, then I'm kinda amazed we got this far!" he glanced around the ballroom as he raised an eyebrow "Every time somebody at school goes out on a date a villain shows up, that happened to me once too. I hope it doesn't this time. Wouldn't be half as fun as just...this. You'n me together....um..." with a sigh Subito gave the lithe agent a quick and chaste hug.Stepping back with her hands in his he smiled "" Putting an arm lightly around Cerys' waist, he led the way back to their table to pick out the dessert of the evening, scanning through the menú with great care. This time he was going to try something new, something he'd never tried! He would be brave, be bold! Glancing up at the Welsh girl next to him, he shrugged "You ever needed to practice eating brioche perdu, Blodeu? I dunno half these words, honestly." suddenly he brightened "Hey...I should try and learn some new dishes! You wanna teach me any Cerys?"
  21. Just to be clear Tiff, they've already carted off the Serpent Man to jail. Making arrangements to talk with the guy wouldn't go amiss, naturally.
  22. Returning the nod with a similarly downward inclination of his head, Roi leaned back in his chair. Chatting idly with Agnes Alla, something that just yesterday would have been the height of the evening, was at that moment rather unnerving. Ordinarily you never find out if somebody has it in them to murder somebody else. The slam of the door behind Hatchet and his thugs jolted though him. "Winter makes for some gloomy nights, it seems, mademoiselle. I am glad we're stopping by our friend's home." he took a quick sip of water, not trusting himself with anything stronger. He wanted to be completely sober when it happened. The Frenchman narrowed his eyes "Boss Comito?" he said softly "I take it he rules the organized criminals in this part of the city." He kept talking for just a few minutes, letting the Angel go first, following after finishing his drink and steeling his nerves.
  23. GM "Many more than one layer, mighty artist" Parsinkle replied with a flash of his chalk-white teeth. With a wave of his hand the robed Fey vanished out the doors, and the prince made to resume his seat, only to pause as the strange Redcap drew the ornate chair forward "I have not answered your question, darkling" he said to Marceau "nor your charge about loving surprises!" this was to René. With a rasp of wood across red sandstone, his chair that was nearly a throne came to rest amid a very abrupt silence. Facing the table piled high with food, the Prince said very softly "I am one of many children, King of Suits, from the red courts of Avalon where(or so it is said) the changelings are. One of the reasons for my crown" he indicated the thin silver band nestled among his tousled hair "is my ability to deal with...surprises." he grinned openly at that. The same moment there came a sudden ruckus and tumult from without, followed by the clash of metal, and the serving-Fey that had just been tramping about with platters, jugs and towers of plates suddenly threw them aside to brandish weapons and fling themselves upon their oppressors! The shrieks, howls, moans and hideous laughs that filled the hall were indescribable, Joining in the brutal merriment that had sprung to life about him with inhuman glee, Parsinkle threw off the long green cape he wore to reveal bloodstained mail and a belted sword, eyes flashing with delight! Drawing the sword he spun around to face the humans, eyes like red moons and a mouth curved into an ivory crescent. "Wizard! Skulker!" he cried "You have taken my gifts of your own will, eaten my meat and accepted my favor! Now you shall pay the price!" he pointed the wicked straight blade at the Frenchmen, pronouncing his sentence with relish that would make the most blood-thirsty blush "You shall fight on my behalf! Either join me in battle against these fools, or you'll be my slaves forevermore!! " Without waiting for their answer he turned and plunged into the fray.
