"Well, these guys are magic Giang" the young paragon explained quietly, the resplendent costume of El Heraldo swirling into being on his body "that big herd could be concealing something else, maybe something even nastier! I can go and return with ease and am more than a match for any reptile. You guys know more about this conspiracy stuff than I do, and I bet you can find the Serpents here no problem." he smiled confidently at his teammates, the golden aura lifting him into the air towards the skylight "Besides, it'll be a great souvenir! Way better than an Atom Family statue." he saluted the senators, declaring in a loud voice "People of Nova Celio! I shall be back with your brothers or not at all!" he called over his shoulder as he zipped off into the air, giving a cheerful wave to Cerys before he soared up into the sky, over the walls and out of sight. Flying high over the treetops straight for the snow-capped mountains that lay in the west, the Herald of the Blue Dame kept his eyes and ears open for any sign of the Legion Celia. 'Those guys will be fine, these Serpents can't even put up a decent fight! They might not have to, they may well have other ways to strike. They are hidden, after all ....Oh. I should probably be on the lookout for trouble, yeah? Quite so, Herald, let us do our duty'

GM The man stopped short, looking up at the glowing Englishwoman with suspicion blazing in his eyes, then he nodded slowly. In the same language he muttered <"Go on. A super on the bridge, one of that Motley's creatures. He might not listen so well as me."> With that he turned and walked quickly back down the boat, calling <"All right! We need half that crew at the engines, detecting some pressure buildup there!"> cutting off an abortive question he snapped <"No time! If we leave it we're in trouble, let's go."> In answer to his terse shout the tramp of other feet was heard further down just out of sight, a few bulky forms making their rapid way to the stern past the dim lights. The man paused for a second to make signs urging Young Britannia and Starlight to hurry.

He was Unfriendly, so he's now Indifferent. He's not going to take risks to hurt them or to aid them.

"Ouch, man" Subito winced at Serge's misfire, patting him on the shoulder as he took his place, lining up his own shot carefully. "I get what ya mean, it's not something to do just 'cause you feel like it or because everyone else is doin' it." the muscular boy bent lower and squinted down the pole, checking where exactly he was going to hit. Encouraged by what he saw, he went on as he drew back "But still, if we just wait for the right people to suddenly decide they wanna work together-" with a crack, the ball whizzed across the table, bouncing the yellow 1 clean into a corner packet with a satisfying *thunk!*, getting a baffled "Wait what?" as the stocky Puerto Rican stared at the green 6 ball right next to where the yellow ball had been, "Wow, we're off our game today bro!" he sighed, grinning sheepishly and shaking his head, turning back to Serge "Anyway, I think we should at least try to get together. Otherwise it'll be just like cliques at all the other schools, an' I'd hate seein' that happen." he added with a ferocious scowl. Frowning at the table he added "I dunno if fate's a real thing, at least" his voice sank just a little to make sure nobody in the busy game room overheard "at least the fact I've got a nation's spirit talking in my head doesn't totally convince me" 'Oh? A country's sovereign representative is not sufficient proof? Well, "fate" is waaaay more abstract than "Puerto Rico", you got to admit An interesting point. We must meet Wale's spirit sometime, or Young Britannia again. See what she knows of it. You really like Miss Stone, don't you? What are you implying, Herald? Huh? Nothing, I like her too. We should get together sometime, when we are not working In the meantime, you have a conversation to attend to Oh! Right, crap, sorry' "Right!" Subito announced suddenly after a few seconds of silence following his mutter, clearing his throat he leaned on the table and went on in quiet earnestness "So, Surge, I don't know about fate either, but why wait for everything to fall into place? Besides it's not like we're all divine champions, we're just teenagers learnin' how to be superheroes, and sooner or later we're going to need to team up anyhow. Why not start with guys we know?"

Oh easily. Being surrounded by coils makes it that much simpler! And it's a mental/tactile senses Dazzle, a sort of anaesthetic married to a psi-blocker.

Sure, make me DO stuff here! Anyway, he will reward Glow's patience by punching her. Power Attack roll, +3 Damage -3 Attack: 26. That hits. DC30 TOU save for Glow. Scratching that. Dazzle/Obscure, +3 DC, -3 Attack. Attack roll: 15. That hits. DC26 Reflex/Fortitude save for Glow to resist the Dazzle.

Bursting out onto the lawn with an explosion like liquid paint, the King of Suits rolled head-over-heels on the grass, coming to a stop a few feet from Aaliya Kapoor. He lay still as the world reeled above him. The grav-cycle flew out of the portal even faster than he did without friction to slow it down, coming to a thrumming halt several meters away. Jumping nimbly to his feet, he glanced around at his new surroundings, sniffed the air and grinned. <"Good work, my friend!"> he told René as he brushed grass off the older man, looking more carefully at the English land around them <"Your art is splendid as alway-"> he paused, having caught sight of the woman very close by. <"I shall introduce us, she looks like a decent sort!"> he said brightly to the painter as he broke away and bounded over to the woman on his long legs. Reaching Aaliya, he bowed gracefully, saying in his French-accented English "Good morning! I am the King of Suits, a superhero. This fine gentleman is the esteemed René de Saens, of a similar profession. We have come searching for a mystically-powered fugitive who may be in the area, and mean no harm to anyone. May I ask your name, my lady?" he asked with a winning smile, blue eyes catching the risen sun spectacularly.

Steel so +5 to TOU save. 11. Failed by 11, DC27 TOU save: 9. Failed by 18, so Destroyed. Let's say a mighty big hole is blasted into the wall. It reveals a large, brightly-lit room filled with electrical equipment and half-built robots.

GM "Insolent fool!" bellowed the voice over the intercom as it sprang back to life "You cannot snare me in such feeble webs of words! You will be much less chatty once my legions of artifizoids come calling!" It cut out again with a snap, a distant rumble like somebody muttering under their breath echoing down the hallways. "It seems negotiation is not viable" Morsa groused, the Lor boy already fiddling with his school uniform to get it in fighting trim. Glancing at Serge he added "I would advise a session with Mr. Marquez, Mr. Explinker. It might be helpful." Glancing around the four hallways the students were at the intersection of, he narrowed his eyes. Listening to the ringing clashes of metal and tramp of feet he opined "It seems we are surrounded, what in all can we do?" concentrating, his eyes glowed briefly, rewarded with a flicker in the air around them "I can still hear your open thoughts and make shields, might come in handy." "Do not resist!" thundered hollow voices from all around the teen trio "You are outnumbered and beaten!" "Might be good to learn how to fashion ear plugs" Morsa added, rubbing the side of his head with a wince.

Heartened at Agnus' forgiveness, the sturdy boy returned her smile cheerfully. "Thanks Agnus! And I'm so gonna be there! I'll see if my girlfriend can come too." He colored slightly, but went on "She's great! She's really good at parties, knows a whole buncha stuff, and she's Welsh so you'll both have something to talk about!" his grin matched her slyness almost perfectly. A common topic the two spirit-bearers talked about at the studio were the islands they had grown up on. Subito had been pleasantly surprised how similar a lot of life was over in England! Glancing at the ice cream cone, he opened his mouth to ask where she had gotten it when she went straight to the point. Frowning up at the sky for a moment the boisterous teen was very quiet. 'Can you tell me anything? Gimme a hint? No. The Chains will cause trouble again, and something will happen here. That is all I can say Fine, we'll deal with it. Thanks anyway Be strong my Herald. Good luck' Looking back over at Agnus he shrugged expressively "Somethin's gonna happen here 'cause of the Chains we got last year. She can't say anything else, of course." who 'she' was he left unsaid. Rolling his eyes, Subito gave the lively zoo another once-over when a chorus of shrieks rang through the air, stopping him dead! Catching sight of the anaconda creeping out he barked "Giant snake on the loose! We gotta catch it!" pointing at the prodigious reptile and looking around for a good place to transform!

If nobody's told you already, we're mostly using www.rolz.org in the interim. What you do is go to www.rolz.org/group, enter in whatever name you wish, go to the room FCPBP Test, and add the bonuses to the 1d20 in the bar at the top. And repeating that Stunt...I'm leery of allowing that. Partially because of how long this has taken as it is(thanks in no small part to me). However, it'd make precious little sense for her NOT to do that, so go ahead.

GM "Alright, to the cafeteria and back. Good to meet you both Kat, Serge" Morsa beamed, which had an almost disconcerting effect on his face. Taking both of their hands in his, he closed his eyes, the world shimmered blue, stretched, and spun around like a kaleidoscope. The grass of Claremont's lawns and the sounds of the other students was soon replaced by a deep quiet and all-encompassing blue wave. The slender Lor boy squeezed their hands for a second, then came to himself and relaxed as the universe unscrewed into the familiar hustle and bustle and gleaming surfaces of the cafeteria in the morning. One of the cafeteria staff neatly dodged around them as they appeared right in front of her. "No using powers just to get around, kids" she grumbled, though she smiled at them and added "I won't tell, get back to your class!" "Yes ma'am!" Morsa answered hastily, standing at attention and beginning to regather the power to himself, muttering sheepishly to the other two "Apologies, I forgot." the return trip began, the world crushed in on itself like a fan, and- *ZAP!* With a whirl of blue, the pair found themselves standing in a square metal tunnel, surrounded by acrid fumes, the distant thrum of strange machines off in the distance, and dark orange lights shedding bleary illumination on the walls. With a crackle, a voice snapped over an unseen speaker "At last! I have you, aliens. Don't try to escape, your teleports won't work here thanks to my Inhibito-Sphere, and my servants will be down there in a moment to collect you. You'll serve humanity well, bring us closer to the apex of evolution! I, Professor Parsec, declare it!" With a rasp, the voice cut out, and all of the teens could hear the heavy tread of something coming their way. A lot of somethings. "I...did not intend this, fellow student Kat" Morsa whispered to the girl, eyes narrow as he looked around for the best way to go. "Let us make the best of it. I say we find this Professor, neutralize his facility and troops."

"I didn't meant like that, Surge!" Subito laughed, taking his place at the table, peering down the cue as he tapped it experimentally against the much-abused white ball. With a sharp retort the missile shot across the velvet, and watching with satisfaction as it knocked the green 6 clean into the pocket! To Serge he went on, looking away from the white ball as it whizzed around the table "I mean, have you thought about joinin' any? You'd be a really good guy to have around!" resting the pool cue under his elbow he listed off the reasons on his fingers "You're good with tech, you keep cool under pressure, your suit lets you change tactics on the fly, you're good with people, an' you can play the team theme song any time!" Grinning cheerfully at Serge, Subito glanced back at the table just in time to see the rebounding white ball miss every other target by inches, coming to a stop near the center of the table. He puffed out his dark cheeks before exhaling slowly. "....*phew* Your move, bro." he stepped away, nodding with a reassuring smile at the blond mutant.

As Temperance sent the water floating out into the air, Nochehuatl bowed his head in silent reverence, a deep, rumbling prayer echoing out of his throat. It was too distorted to make out what he said though, but whatever it was, it was heartfelt. He remained motionless for a while until the elemental's daughter suggested questioning their foes. Leaping into action, the hulking triton gathered up the unconscious deformed Atlanteans, his scaly feet rasping on the wet concrete. He left one, however, the one who had seemed to be their leader slumped on the ground. "Now then, truth-seeking" he grated, splashing some water from his conch onto her face to awaken her, then lifting her up by one leg so her face was even with his. "You are beaten." the fishman told the Deep One harshly "Tell us how you learned to do that" he pointed at the tank "and we shall let you go without harm. Be silent, and suffer the consequences you deserve. Your fate lies in your hands."

Alright, going to start that thing. PMing Rav for permission to use Phantasmagore. EDIT: He's cool with it, but Starlight's not going to be involved. Hit me with your interest, if it's still there!

GM Malice wasn't something encouraged at Claremont, whereas awe of the austere, dark and mysterious Principal Summers very much was. "H-hey man! We weren't gonna do anything!" the many-eyed girl protested, unnerved by Serge's implicit threat "We just wanted to see if this guy was just talkin'!"She pointed one of her arms at the short blue boy "He says he can teleport from here t' Pluto and back in under a second, we were just curious, you know?" she offered with a nervous smile. The other students quickly chimed in their agreement. Another girl, swathed head to foot in an opaque white film, jumped in "Yeah, what Sally said! It's cool, we were just teasing. Sorry Morsa" she added with a hasty smile at the green-haired Lor teen, who sidled against Kat and ducked behind his head behind her shoulder, looking utterly unconvinced. "Yes they were, fellow student." He muttered, sounding glad to have people in his corner "Sally and her comrades" he poked his head around to glare at his tormentors "have been attempting to make me demonstrate my powers ever since I mentioned them. Going to other planets is impressive to them. That's not all I can do, of course" he added with a look of considerable pride, putting his hands on his narrow hips "I can also read minds, project defensive energy fields and translate other kinds of energy particles into light!" The huddle of Claremonters mostly looked baffled "Wait, light's a particle?" Sally asked as she raised some of the eyebrows that covered her almost insect-like face "I thought it was some kinda wave." That had Morsa outright smiling, visibly relaxed after the tension of just a few seconds ago. Turning to Serge he said "Thank you for your intervention, it is appreciated. Fellow student," he turned sharply on the wet grass back to Kat and nearly crashed to the ground as his feet shifted. Regaining his balance with a flicker of irritation he soldiered on "I think I have heard about you, you also can transmit yourself over vast distances, yes? I would very much like to benefit from your expertise. Perhaps we could drill together after classes? Or..I know!" and idea seemed to strike him, and his dark eyes lit up "I will demonstrate my power for you, so you know best what I should work on! You as well," he added to Serge with a sunny grin. "Aw man, really? Will you show us too, Morsa?" the white-swathed girl was nearly bursting at the seams with excitement "No Jane." the alien boy replied crisply, taking the two mutants' hands in his "And anyway, it is just from here to the cafeteria and back. Not interesting." The other students groaned in disappointment again and began to disperse, wandering back to the jogging track and occasionally shooting hopeful looks back at the trim alien teen, who remained stone-faced throughout. Once they were gone he grinned openly at the two "So! Shall we go? It will only be for a few seconds. We shall not miss any classes and I am not capable of altering time. I have checked." Sticking out his hand he added "Morsa Venn, Fifth Class Cadet of the Mentat Legions, first year student of this training facility"

Taking the offered fabric with considerable grace and a slight bow, Marceau cheerfully added his own thanks. "A splendid gift, Parsinkle! I can think of a lot of people who this will help" he said as he examined the red cloth with great interest. He didn't even need to lie about that, he knew personally several dozen people who could use a cloth that filled them with warmth and energy. Glancing at René with a broad smile, he nodded as he wound the red cloth around his arm "It's bound to amaze, dear prince. We're quite looking forward to it." He chanced a glance at the nearby walls and chairs. The table had turned out to be strategic gold.

Aligning the cue with the white ball, Subito squinted down the pole, tested its placement, then shot it forward like a bullet into the neat triangle! The balls rattled and clacked as they bounced crazily from one end of the green table to the next, the purple 4, tan 7 and blue 2 dropping into the baskets with satisfying *clunk*s, but to the sturdy boy's frustration the others missed their targets by mere inches. It wasn't something worth getting mad over though, and he laughed good-naturedly as he took the chalk from Serge, polishing the cue and stepping aside to let the other boy take his shot. "Hope your cue loves you better'n mine! So on other things, uh, Surge..yeah I'm callin' you that from now on" he grinned "What d'you think about the teams some of the other guys have started up? Like Young Freedom?" He nipped at the inside of his mouth, looking curiously at the mutant with bright eyes.
