  1. Wave-Eye Charges at Deep One 2! Using Speed to race into the warehouse and hurl himself into the water sphere! Attack roll: 28. If that hits, DC23 TOU save as per usual. At +7 Defense until his next action.
  2. Removed the two ranks of Attack Bonus(Melee) to get another rank for the Base Attack Bonus, dropped the Ranged Bonus Feat down to 1. Removed a rank of Isolated from the Castle. Right, that was a fool mistake. Added Impervious to the Force Field power, and replaced the Impervious in the Nile Array with Reflective(Melee Damage).
  3. Edited, dropped his Constitution down to 16 (+3), and fixed the totals.
  4. The day was ending, and Subito was sad to see it go. He'd made new friends around campus, had an awesome time with the ones he already had, stopped a gang war in Lincoln before breakfast, gotten all his exercises down perfectly, learned new boxing moves that he couldn't wait to try out, had a great idea for his next date with Blodeuwedd, and helped another student overcome his fear of flying! That and he was a little behind on his actual schoolwork. Subito rubbed his face brusquely, flicking aside the loose black curls that had gradually slid down into it as he had stared into a space shared by the book on his starkly-lit desk. Pausing to glare at the words on it, he tried again. "The Morlock city of Eloi" he began, reading aloud as he always did to fill the room's silence about the distant subterranean metropolis, until a gauze seemed to slide over the world, and all grew still... The boy jerked his lively hazel eyes open. He stared at the page, then slammed the book shut with a frustrated growl. Glancing at the alarm clock his heart sank at the time. "Already too late. 'Course. Oh well, I'll talk with El, do it in the morning. At least nothin's due tomorrow." he grumbled as he rose from the swivel chair, deftly stripping, tossing his clothes into a laundry basket and switching off the light before quietly praying for guidance, and then hurling himself in a somersault onto the bed. He rested on top of the covers, his supernatural immunity to cold making them more trouble than they were worth, as he stared at the icon-studded ceiling with muscular arms crossed under his head and one powerful leg swung over the other, he closed his eyes, schooled his heartbeat, and prepared for sleep.
  5. GM "The Worldlord" corrected the moody girl, a little sharply "and there are a lot of old conquerors you could describe that way Subito, so-" "Yes, thank you Gertrude" their teacher broke in with a chilled smile "Your attention to detail is admirable." Turning to the bulky Puerto Rican she ticked off her answers on her fingers Now, as for your questions Mr. Sondo: it will be due by the end of next week so plenty of time. Yes, it's extra credit, you can opt out if you wish to focus on something else, and our species' first conflict with the Grue was in 1954, so a little off-topic right now. That and it might be be in poor taste, considering recent events" she added quietly, which got an abrupt and moody silence. The Day of last month were still being healed from. Clearing her throat firmly, Amelia Valero went on "I would advise you stick with something like the Malfidian invasion in England, of which I understand Ms. Griffith is something of a aficionado, or that attack by the Alpha aliens in 1963 on Pyramid Plaza. Something in the 1960s, a massive attack by extraterrestrials, and put it in its proper historical context. All the rest is up to you. You already know my office hours and where to find me if you have any questions. Have a great day!" she smiled warmly at the six teens, hoisting her bag over a shoulder and stepping out into the hallway with a click of heels on the hard floor. The African boy was the first to break the silence, cheerfully offering Darren a handshake "Pleased to meet you, I'm Marcel Solarin!" glancing after their instructor he added, making for the door "So, what shall we do to...spice up the presentation?" he asked with a mischievous grin. Laughing heartily, the powerfully-built boy slapped Elias on the back, saying "Jared Andrews! I've got some ideas Marcel, but I bet Trudy will have the best, as usual" he looked innocently at Gertrude, who smiled for the first time. Just a little, but it was there. Marcel smiled cunningly "Let's meet at the cafeteria in three hours, and discuss tactics. See you around!" he waved back at the other trio as he, Gertrude and Jared disappeared into the crush of students.
  6. Sure. Standard fairy drink and meat rules apply.
  7. Tiff! Rolls, and stuffs.
  8. "Good shot Warp!" Heraldo exclaimed happily, the brightly-clothed paragon swooping over to Errant and the STAR officer. "Hey, Glow, your telekinesis can shield people, right? I'll carry Errant, how about you take this gentleman?" he put a powerful arm around Errant's waist, lifting them both into the air and glanced over at the others, adding "I think we should take them with us! At least until we've managed to rescue all of the STAR police. No offense to your capabilities, sir," Heraldo added with an apologetic glance at the man they had just saved from the rampaging gargoyles "but we're pretty good at fighting these kinds of things! It would be unthinkable to leave you in danger." He set off in the direction that Elias had begun to move, a trail of blazing golden smoke following the young paragon "Lead the way Errant!" he called, weaving elegantly through the trees.
  9. GM Hunter lay still, and did not answer, crying softly as 'his' form dissolved into that of a brick red-skinned alien. About ten minutes after the prisoners had been released, and waited awkwardly outside the basement, the Lab hazardous materials van screeched to a halt outside Wrenworth Tower, and a gaggle of men and women in bright yellow hazmat suits hurried down into the makeshift villainous lair. A few minutes later a STAR squad van showed up and parked just behind it. Carefully collecting the dangerous chemicals into appropriate containers took time, and the cramped environment meant one of the hazmat team was free to talk to the two heroes as the STAR squad examined the area for any other vicious secrets. "This kinda thing is pretty screwed up" he commented as the clones were laboriously carried out of their grotto and around the piles of thrumming machinery "but at least it's something we can deal with. A poison gas attack in the middle of Freedom City..." he shuddered "I don't wanna think about that, but we'd have inhibitors on that stuff in minutes, unless a hero with wind powers or something stepped in. Oop! Looks like my shift" he ducked to the side as one of the team stepped past carrying a barrel, nodding at the pair he took her place. "...So there's plenty of evidence. He's going straight to Blackstone after his trial" the STAR captain said grimly, watching as the officers led the cuffed Grue into their truck. Shaking her head she added "Thanks for what you've done tonight. You've saved a lot of lives, and I guess the Mob owes you a debt. Doubt they'll see it that way!" laughing she shook their hands and jumped into the passenger's seat, the truck rumbling off into the night.
  10. GM The Romans clearly didn't expect this from foreigners. Watching Bloduewedd's grandiose actions and hearing her words with much more respect and interest, their reactions to what happened next were beautiful. The world that the Chessboard revealed glowed and swirled into place over the pristine and austere Senate, revealing all the usual denizens, and one extra. The golden-haired boy sitting among the older Romans had visibly begun to shift and fidget in his seat as the mystic agent's words rang through the dome, and in the world of magic he still had his true form. The same creature that they had seen on the road was sitting there, the blond boy a mere mask around the savage Serpent Man! He seemed to know that he had been discovered, and almost before she had seen it for a few seconds the disguising spell seemed to try and solidify, to become more real...but it was too late. Jumping to his feet the boy shouted at the other Senators "You see, Brothers, she tries to trick us! Everyone knows magic isn't real, just a trick of the Incas! It-it...GRARGH!" with a cry of anguish, the Serpent Man's concentration broke, and with a burst of golden light there stood a cowering lizard in the middle of the senate.

That is indeed the case here. Has to be the grappled character.
  12. "If that is your aim, then I shall be happy to try and help you reach it" Roi answered politely. A faint sense of unease at such a cold-hearted attitude struck him, but he quickly shoved it aside with a a jerk of his shoulders. He could always try and find some evidence after the deed was done... '"The deed"? An odd way to put killing a man' he thought. His face grew suddenly cheerful "Paris is called home by mere artists the world over, Agnes. I am sure it would welcome an Angel!" "So we follow him to his home, then kill him?" he asked much more quietly, glancing at the dressing room door. It wouldn't do to be undone by carpentry. "This bar seems a poor place, and the streets have their own dangers."

    Are You French Enough?

"I have some stuff in black!" Subito offered cheerfully "And there's a bunch of places in Southside that I bet would be great practice!" The idea of scrambling around buildings like some of the lither students was definitely tantalizing for the athletic boy. The company added a lot to its appeal! Sliding gracefully closer to Blodeuwedd, Subito gently encouraged her to lean on him as they danced. It was easy to tell from his look of deep thought that he was mulling over he other question. At last he murmured in her ear "That used to be what I did Blodeu. I was a normal kid, went to school, had a job, waved at the heroes as they swung by, and I can tell ya..." he smiled and kissed her gently on the cheek, smelling faintly of spices "If i'd stayed that way we wouldn't have met, and I wouldn't give that up for much!" he gazed fondly into her eyes and then looked a little wistful "...I dunno, Cerys. Sometimes I do think 'bout it, and I wonder if it wouldn't've been better. It'd be more peaceful, gentler for sure, but I know I can't go back now. Is that what you'd like to do someday?" The music was slowing now, dancers drifting to a slow halt.

Yeah she can escape, Glow just has to get a natural 20! Sorry. EDIT: But yeah, let's move on. Accurate Attack roll: 21. Hits. DC26 TOU save please. Round 11: Glow: Bruise(x1), Confused, Grappled, 4HP Nephilim: Bruise(x1)-GM
  15. DC25 Gather Information roll: 27, success! KoS finds out about a recent rash of such purchases. Two hours later he comes back to the intersection. And this train wreck can finally proceed.
  16. Nodding his understanding to Catalyst with a crisp "On it", the King of Suits calmly searched around the cramped laboratory until he found a phone fallen under a desk. Neatly brushing off some debris from its face, he dialed the Freedom league's public number and waited patiently for an answer. Turning to the woman he added "What your captor has done is reprehensible, madam, but it doesn't give us license to murder him" Marceau told the woman dourly. Nodding over at the shadowed figure he added "He is no threat to anyone now anyway, we-ah! Hello? Freedom Hall? Yes, this is the King of Suits, I'm with Catalyst...no ma'am, we're local crime-fighters, anyway we're in the basement of Wrenworth Tower in North End, we have captured a Grue calling himself 'Hunter' who was the one responsible for the missing persons and materials from Suzerain Labs. He has two clones-no, no it seems to be alien technology. Oh indeed? Thank you very much! Goodnight" putting the mobile in a sleeve pocket, he nodded cheerfully to Jasmine "The League will send a hero down in a minute to take the clones in, apparently Grue clones can survive for decades and these will need a new place to live." he frowned suddenly, and stroked his chin dubiously "This raises several questions. Anyway!" he smiled "A grand night's work! Thank you very much Catalyst, for all you've done tonight. If you want further assistance just say so, I will check up on our errant Grue." With a deep nod to the hazmat-suited heroine, the caped and cowled man ducked out into the dark room. Kneeling next to Hunter he said quietly "Hey. People will be here soon, they'll take care of you. They will make sure you never fall into this again."
  17. That moves the Romans from Unfriendly to Indifferent. Disguise roll for old Goldhead: 20, she sees through it and a Bluff roll to keep cool under pressure: 7, he freaks out.
  18. GM "Uh..."the woman looked blank for a worryingly long time, suddenly answering "No, nobody's been hurt. I think, uh" she glanced around at the other curtains "there's gotta be about a dozen of us, I think? I-I couldn't take that stuff they put in the drinks, I passed out. Didn't see any of the others come in, I think I'm the newest..." she shrugged helplessly and slumped back onto the gurney, which she was strapped to a little more securely than most hospitals would have advised. Blodeuwedd passed through the austerely blood-splattered medical wing, finding only ten prisoners, and none of them with any kind of injury or signs of ill-treatment. Most of them had been heavily sedated, and were still at least slightly groggy. The sudden and horrible violence of the last few seconds hadn't been enough to wake them. <<<"Gaps appearing in patrol patterns">>> commented the voice of Command evenly <<<"Close ranks, fall back to elevator leading to North Wing, target has too much of an edge in small numbers. Known affinity for animals, release wolves to distract him">>>
  19. The captives are evidently in pretty good shape, though a little sluggish from being recently sedated.

    Divine Theft (IC)

GM "Argh!" Stumbling a few steps back under the sudden blast of raw telekinetic force, the man in white squinted at the blazing emerald beacon, shaking his head as the pain of the backlash slammed into his mind. "Smirky little kid, if I'd had powers like yours...'pretty little butterfly' my ass, what the hell kind of childhood did you have?" he snarled, looking up at the helicopter far above . Flicking his now contemptuous eyes at Glow he growled "I'll darken you, if I have to pour out my blood to do it!'" Nephilim's dark eyes widened as his gaze caught sight of the distant but very quickly approaching specks that could only be the Freedom League! Glancing back up at the Branson Building he was visibly torn for a second..then his powerful body relaxed and he laughed aloud. Smiling at some secret joke he said aloud "It's all right, we can come back another time" turning to Glow he began sauntering over to her. "There he is!" exclaimed the Russian man in the rust and white, pointing at the white speck in the middle of Branson Plaza "Formation, everybody!" he shouted to the others "We need to bring him down before he can try to escape! We'll get him, don't worry" he added with a comforting smile to Warp. Pausing when he was a few feet from the young heroine, he looked carefully into her eyes for a moment. His beatific smile dimmed, just for a second "Yeah, I thought so. Hazel" he murmured, then brightened "Oh well!" and suddenly swept the writhing tendrils around her, wrapping her up until only her head and feet stuck out from the coils! His powerful arms were wrapped around her in a mighty hug, and the whispers were almost coherent now. The unearthly handsome man pouted in mock sadness "I dunno where the butterflies went, Glow. Here, let's pretend you're one!" the suggested, with a smile that went far past his eyes. Drawing back an arm, he paused for the tentacles to clear a spot, then slammed his fist with a terrific thud into the telekinetically shielded girl!

And now for Nephi's attempted Grapple. He walks up to Glow, switches to the Enhanced+Super STR slot of his Array, and makes his Attack roll: 22. Hits, opposed Grapple roll: 42. So, DC42 Grapple check. EDIT: Good Lord, just realized I forgot Nephi's blasted Grapple score. For clarification, he's got +36 'normally' with all his regular bonuses, and with Additional Limbs that makes it +40.
  22. Subito had been scribbling madly during the last few minutes of the lecture, eyes glued to the slides as his ears translated the words down to his hands. The handwriting was awful, but the boy's enthusiasm for everything that Freedom's heroes had done through the years more than made up for it. He'd been much slower than most of the students getting out, though on catching sight of Darren he'd brightened and begun quickening his steps, only to freeze and double-back when Amelia had called out his name. Waving cheerily at the three students he didn't know he had promptly nodded, and said brightly "Sure thing Miss Vee!" eyes lighting up as his mind raced over what they could do! "Hmmm...questions...oh, when's it due, what Darren said, and any stuff we should focus on? Like early battles with the Grue, or that crazy guy with the helmet?"
  23. GM The English of the Nova Romans was quite good, and with a few words they managed to perfectly convey their lofty dismissal of Subito's offer. At the very least it took attention off Myrmidon's curt departure. The Princeps snorted, pacing around the circular oratory floor "Oh yes, bring back an illusory horn from a fake terrorbeast. Our comrades did give you the right passwords and words of address, so something must have happened, but to claim that it's the work of the degenerate, weak and crippled Serpents..." he shook his head vigorously "It defies all sense and reason, they've never been any threat before-" "That's it! That's why they've been able to pull this off! Because you don't see them as a threat!" Kazra almost barked, the lean and wiry girl glaring up at the weighty and bemused Septissmerus past a few stray strands of thick hair fallen over one eye. The contrast between the rough and dingy Jungle Princess in her animal skins and the austere Roman wrapped in a pristine blue-edged toga was almost comical. Gripping the haft of her spear like she was trying to break it Kazra added "If the fact that someone could copy your flag-thing isn't suspicious enough for you, we'll get all the proof you could ask for. And more to boot!" she added through gritted teeth. The First Citizen stopped his pacing mid-step, looked over at the girl, then shrugged "What proof could you bring the poet-god's brothers?" he asked the group at large, a condescending smile spreading across his face "One of those reptiles confessing it all? That would be a wonder."

    The Purple Flame(OOC)

That grants a +2 for clearing the Aid Another DC10 check, and an additional +1 for getting 10 greater than the DC, so +3 all told! Arnold's roll is an unexpected 25. so that makes it a DC28 check so far for Dis to try and beat. Hit me with Crow's rolls if you wish to make any, Quinn!
  25. GM The feast was sumptuousness embodied, marred a little by utter riot. Massive tables piled with food from the kitchens that darted around as the laughing Fey tried to catch them, pitchers that zipped through the air and dropped hearty dollops of wine on unsuspecting heads, huge fires at either end of the red room and tapestries covering every wall with some fantastic image of pastoral beauty. At the head of the table sat Hartfoul, quiet and brooding. Seated between René and Marceau on the table's side was Parsinkle, cheerfully joining in the chaos of the meal. "Tell me!" he shouted above the din "How have you enjoyed your stay so far? I have a grand surprise for your two to take back. And please," he added gesturing to the table with a slender hand "Do not spare the food and drink!" his red eyes twinkled merrily at that, and a strange ripple passed through the mood of the meal. Both had the feeling of being closely watched, like the Fey expected something.
