  1. Staring in bafflement at the monsters harrying the STAR police officer, Heraldo didn't even flinch as the fireballs slammed into him and simply fell apart as they struck his resplendent costume. With a whoop of "Great going, guys!" as Warp blasted her target into oblivion, and Arcturus smashed his combatant into the ground, the young paragon turned to the man they were rescuing and called out "Greetings citizen! I'm El Heraldo, the guy in the hoodie is the pursuant psychic called Errant, he found you! The one in black is the magnificent mutant Warp, the guy looking like a bear is the ursine adept Arcturus and green telekinetic girl is Glow! Nice to meet you!" he added cheerfully as he rocketed off through the pixelated sky, a streak of gold that slammed into the other hovering gargoyle with national might behind his fist! He was aiming for precision, not power in this case, and so went just slow enough to aim right.

    Are You French Enough?

"I'm not avoiding the question!" Subito protested, looking embarrassed all the same "I just don't...well..." he glanced away "We're like...ourselves, you know? And we can be ourselves 'round each other, but...when you're around other folks you act like Cerys, and I'd like 'em to meet Blodeu instead. But...what do you want Blodeuwedd?" The hearty boy smiled affectionately "And I'll have ya know my family's perfectly normal! At least, compared to an order of secret agents devoted to safeguarding the British Isles that is." he casually began massaging her hand, taking another sip of wine and feeling a slow blush spread across his face as he added "And none of them look as good in black."
  3. Subito wasn't nearly at the level of stealth and sneaking ability his classmates were, but by making sure he took every step with the greatest possible care, kept his head down, and followed Cerys's lead as much as he possibly could. It was easier after they were in the cushioned jungle with ample hiding spots and not darting from cover to cover across the gravelly plateau. Keeping up with the lighter and faster Claremonters as best he could, the muscular Puerto Rican watched the loping dinosaurs and their sinuous riders, wracked with questions. 'What are they doing here? Why are they riding dinos? Why does that one in the robes seem smarter than the rest? Where did they get weapons like that? We must speak with someone who has met these creatures before, studied them, perhaps. The Atom Family will no doubt be happy to tell what they know. ...Oh. I...We might be able to meet the Atom Family after this. And have stuff to talk about. This job is awesome That is so, Herald! Opportunities to do things nobody else ever has or will!' As they reached the Serpent People's hiding place, he was footsore and tired, but still crept along gamely. Squinting through the foliage and swatting away the bugs buzzing and crawling around his sweaty body, he waited in fidgety silence, occasionally glancing at the others for the signal to charge at the prone lizard men. Sweatdrops slowly fell from his face, and his thick hair was matted with dust and crawling with insects. Just as he was about to suggest they just jump the monsters, their contact dashed up out of nowhere. It took him a few seconds to realize it, but he heard the man coming early enough that he muttered "Someone's comin'!" several minutes before the blond man ran into view. He was tensing to run to the man's rescue, only to watch the meeting in disbelief, eyes widening and shuddering uncontrollably as the supposed human revealed his true face. In a low whisper he translated the brief meeting, adding as the Serpent People began to ride off "Okay, we know they're up to no good now, can we please pound 'em before they get outta range?"
  4. Heraldo sets an Interpose for Errant since that boy has not eaten enough burgers yet. Meanwhile, he zips over to the other flying guy and Accurate Attacks it for a tradeoff of +3 Attack -3 Damage: 14. That would be a miss I'm guessing, so reroll(2HP) 13. +10 from the reroll makes it 23. DC23 TOU save for the gargoyle.

    Doctor Zero!

One thing you may want to adjust is the name, unless you want them being associated with Freedom's Most Wanted's Madame Zero(unless that's the idea). Anyway, I'd suggest him having at least a few living relatives, since the 1950s weren't so long ago any relations would have died out. Otherwise, looks like a great start to me!

    Divine Theft (OOC)

DC24 Sense Motive roll: 30. That fails, but as he's already Flat-Footed so that hits! It does nothing, naturally. Nephilim takes a Full Action to Startle Glow. Intimidate: 19. Well then! DC19 Will or Intimidate save. EDIT AFTER BELOW: Sense Motive as well, apparently, Apologies. You're up Freely!
  7. Heraldo looked baffled and began "We have to...wait! Master Mage, wha-?" only for the question to be shaken clean out of him! As the two spirit-bearers were catapulted into the future, the teen paragon crashed to the ground and lay there for a while, moaning quietly as the world reeled around him like a teapot in a whirlpool. Getting back to his feet he looked around at the swamp, feeling the world of difference between it and the realm of the Maiden with a relieved grin. Resting against a tree he took a few experimental breaths and turned his face to the fresher, brighter Sun, taking off his hat and mask as he did so. Turning to Young Britannia with joy he exclaimed "Woohoo! We did it Why-Bee! We got the Chains, stopped Lorenzo's crazy plan, got Broken Crow outta the hands of that crazy Madame, and-! Oh. Oh no." the resplendently-dressed boy stopped still, face paling as he remembered "Lorenzo's still in the past. We screwed up! Oh, Dios en Cielo I screwed up! I suck at heroing!" he wailed, clutching his face in his gloved hands. Dropping them enough so his teary hazel eyes peeked out, he added glumly to Young Britannia "If it's okay, can we teleport please, miss Stone? And..." he looked dismally hopeful "...um...can I hug you, please?"
  8. The King of Suits slid to a halt, a card raised in one hand poised to throw as he stared in disbelief at the sobbing Grue on the floor. Sheathing it with a flick of the wrist into his gauntlet the lean man stepped over to the Hunter as his cape swirled behind him, kneeling down and gently lifting the brick-red alien up for a hug. It wasn't very comfortable being pressed against his dirty chestplate and encircled by the rough bulletproof cloth of his sleeves. He was utterly silent for as long as the embrace lasted, then carefully let him back down. Looking down glumly at him for a moment, the man shrugged, muttered "I'm sorry, I wish I could help you" and then turned to Catalyst with a hopeful look "So, what's our next move? Finding the toxin, the prisoners?"
  9. GM The Serpent People soon moved on, the now-docile dinosaurs carrying the band on their lean, hard-muscled backs without so much as a murmur. The lizard men didn't use anything to control them, they simply followed the one carrying their robed mystic. They led the four teenagers across the steaming plain, over the weathered white road carved with rude pictograms, and into the tropical jungle on the other side. They marched with great speed but were easy to track due to both their colorful mounts and their penchant for occasional hisses that slithered through the air. The towering trees were coated in moss, the sounds of scurrying animals rustled through the leaves and the sunlight was just a little dimmer. After a few hours, their treck was halted when they arrived at the edge of a well-used path threading through the trees, deep ruts worn by wheels into the dry mud. They dismounted and lay flat, watching the path as it gradually diasppeared into the sunny jungle. As they lay in wait, they passed each other strips of dried meat which they tore at ravenously, while their leader retreated deep into the trees and sat imperiously on his glassy-eyed dino. After the day had slowly wound down into the afternoon, the sounds of running feet suddenly rang out in the distance, and from out of the trees burst a blond young man wearing a pristine white tunic, running so hard he stopped by tripping and crashing to the ground, rolling over and over until he finally struck a tree. He lay panting from exhaustion, staring at the sky and into the face of a Serpent Man as it leaned out of the bush. He froze, and then jumped to his feet, flinging his arms around the reptile's body and laughing hysterically, hugging each of the sinewy barbarians as they crept out of hiding, the beasts hissing words that Subito understood as "Welcome, brother!" and "We have missed you for so long!" At last the robed magician stepped out of the trees, snarling "Quiet, fools! Our work must be completed as quickly as possible. You!" he pointed at the blond man "Report!" Still shaking and grinning, the man withdrew from the friendly Serpent People and bowed, answering in broken Latin "Oh Most Venemous One, the plot is set. The cloth has not yet been missed, and the copy will do its work for days yet" he trembled uncontrollably "I...I..." the mystic waved a claw in contempt "Enough of your guise!" and at those words the blond man shifted and changed, until at the lizard's feet crouched another of his race! With golden scales tracing down his head, he looked up and hissed "I have sent the soldiers away from town, they will chase phantoms of the Viracochasuyuns and arrive too late to save the city, but soon enough to taken as conspirators!" The mystic beamed "Good work! Tell our brothers in the Senate that they are free now to do as they wish. War shall begin between Roman and Roman. Soon Nova Celio will fall, and can Nova Roma be far behind? We shall join the others lying in wait. The Great Army is not yet gathered, cursed be the foul dregs of Kar'kradas" he hissed with an eerily human look of rage that was mirrored by his cousins. With a snarl his face turned back to reptilian arrogance "Irregardless! We shall soon be ready. Be on watch for the next signal: a jade snake in the temple of Saturn." With that, he turned on his heel and signalled to the warriors, who followed and remounted, setting off at a dead run to the west, away from the teen's destination of Nova Roma.

    Are You French Enough?

"Ugh, don't remind me." Subito cast a theatrical hand over his face "One thing they never tell you 'bout super-hearin'? Havin' to listen to people talk about their plans for going out in the other locker rooms and showers. Every time, Yeah, let's talk about anything other'n what Shanna's posse has been up to, or what the Tremor Twins have been doing to torment Mr. Skyler." The musuclar boy sudenly dropped the hand from his face and smiled fondly at Cerys "Though I've heard rumors about a certain lovely and mysterious ninja who's been doin' amazing stuff around campus." with a deft movement Subito took Blodeuwedd's free hand in his and brought it tenderly to his lips. He blinked "Uh...welll..." he glanced away nervously "you see...um..last time I brought people from school home, my cousin kinda turned into an armored supervillain and tried to beat me up. I'm kinda scared of tryin' a hangout like that again. I'll totally do it though, if you want!" he added quickly, smiling confidently "I bet ya could take some rando super-guy! When would you like to go?" he fluttered his eyelashes "Could make for a good Valentine's Day present. Though i still think I oughta give ya me in a ribbon hiding inside a cake..." he casually unbuttoned his sleeves, rolling them up his arms as he spoke.
  14. If you would please, Tiff!
  15. I'm fine with that as well. Will post GM with them following the guys! Stealth rolls please! Subito's: 13. Rerolling(3HP in the next fight): 12. Thankfully a 10, so +10 makes it a 22.
  16. "Tell us, where is Dr. Green's computer setup?" Marceau wasn't too sure about threatening the men, but he couldn't argue with Crusader's rapid results. Walking over to the wall and leaning against it as he watched the man on the floor, he relaxed, just a little. They weren't going to have many chances to not be on edge in this mission, and he aimed to take as many as he could. Glancing over his gentle blue eyes tried to peer into the soldier's "Where is it, and what is the fastest way to reach it?" His eyes narrowed "And who guards it? This is very important so be as accurate and detailed as you can, please." Turning to Crusader he added "We might be able to follow the vents, even a genius's mainframe would put out a lot of heat."
  17. GM "Gah! I...alright, alright! Green doesn't pay me enough to get my bones broken this far from a hospital" the man whimpered, slumping in Crusader's grip and looking away "Just...just don't hurt me, I'll tell you what you wanna know!" His prone comrade rolled his eyes "Great going, Mr. True Believer," "Buddy, you get a better idea than probably ending up a broken heap on an island in the middle of nowhere, then you can talk" the other man growled. Catching the shield-bearer's eyes, he shrank against the wall nervously. "Uh...h-how can we assist you?"
  18. "Yeah, that sums Milla up pretty well!" Subito laughed, swinging an arm around Elias's shoulders as they walked, nestling comfortably against the other boy "Once I came into class and she just glared at me for a few seconds, an' I was like ''Wait, what'd I do?' "Course she never told me. So wait, Paula walks one way all the time? I never look at her legs, so I wouldn't know." he teased cheerfully. "Anyway, if you get called in for an interview, you'll need to learn how to smile. And look happy." He said gravely. Raising his hand he went on "Yeah yeah, I know, 'I don't hide who I am'. Now, the interviewer is gonna to ask about previous experience, and how that relates to your application..."
  19. Just +5 actually, so DC31 Will/Intimidate save. He can't make that, so he spills!
  20. So, what do you folks think would be the best choice here?
  21. As mentioned earlier, co-worker who is secretly a mad scientist stealing company supplies might be a good plot springboard. Jay could come in to help with some weird tampering to the security system, he meets Jasmine, they both are alerted by co-worker tripping the alarm due to Jay doing a great job and come to stop them.
  22. Subito had clapped quietly and politely at the close of the girls' stories, and as the tale of Kit and the Phantom Fox's exploit came to a close he gave a sigh of relief. Turning to the lithe young agent he smiled apologetically, waving over at the Branded girl as he said "Sorry Cerys! I like the tale of Blodeuwedd as much as the next guy, but in this case I gotta go with the other awesome story with a happy ending. We're still on to meet your famly in Wales, right?" He fell back against the nearby log with a thud "Seriously, we all need to learn some better stories. Pro'lly from each other." Turning to Mr. Landis he said cheerfully "What do you think, sir?"
  23. GM The part of the middle floors they were on turned out to be mostly barracks and armories, mostly bare and empty now that the soldiers of the mad scientist had gone to fight the electric genius and wind-driving space pirate. Luckily, it had plenty of small closets and rooms that didn't have anything moved into them yet, and it was into one bare concrete and metal cell that the two were unloaded. They woke up very quickly. The one first knocked out by the shield opened his eyes slowly, wincing at the cold light stabbing into his throbbing head and trying to raise his arms to block it, only to find them bound behind his back. Squinting into the glare he saw the two heroes and then looked very grave. The other came around a little afterwards, and just lay still on the floor, glaring upwards. "What do you want with us?" the first one asked nervously, gathering courage he added "We won't tell you anything! The Golden Age will come no matter what you try to do!" "What he means to say is...urgh" the second winced on the ground "He means we're loyal, and will not answer any questions".
  24. GM The maddened Grue tugged furiously on his chemical bonds, his limbs creaking audibly as he strained. All to no avail, the foam held him in place like a net of iron. At last his tugs and fevered movements got slower, slower, and then stopped. Looking up at Catalyst he opened his mouth, only for a weak moan of anguish to come out of it. With a dull thud his head struck the cold pavement, and with a truly pathetic sound the Hunter began to cry, sobbing helplessly on the floor. Catalyst's boot struck something hard, which turned out to be a key. The far door had a keyhole on it.
  25. "Scrying? What-oh! Like, looking at another place through somethin' using magic? Yeah, that sounds like an awesome idea!" his eyes brightened and he opened his mouth to say more, only to stop and frown, looking puzzled. "Uh...two things: first, how would I do that? Could you guys teach me how that works, or would I have to let you do it? Second...what else might be there with her?" he didn't know much about spirits, but he did know that one representing a nation would be bound to have a lot of power in their domain. 'What could live with you that could act without your will? Herald, better you never know. But I cannot stop you from doing this' Leaning on the table, he asked nervously "Is there a chance I'd have to fight things that don't answer to the Dame once I'm there? Things that'd see me as an interloper, or some kinda traitor somehow?"
