Right! Yes! Sorry. Feel free to make Knowledge(Arcane Lore) checks to discover what the best way to crack/bypass/disable this shield is.

Yeah, I know what you mean JackgarPrime. Also, TheAbsurdist, what are you going to go for with the Khanate, as far as what kind of civilization they are? An Uncharted Territories-like medley of gritty worlds with the Zultasians(the Star Khan hails from Zultas) as the Peacekeeper-esque ruling force? a more Star Wars kind of place, where there's just crazy stuff everywhere from amazing machine worlds to magic?

"The Black Tiger..." Subito rolled the name around for a bit, then grinned at Mali. "That's a badass name! Do you call yourself Tiger too?" He nodded in understanding when she mentioned her family's attitude to crimefighting. His hadn't wanted him to even go patrolling until he had completed his first year of training, though that was because he was still pretty clumsy with his powers even then. "Pride 'n fear, yeah. My folks were thrilled that I was El Heraldo, but they knew that I'd break something or someone if I didn't get taught right." he shrugged with a light smile "So far that's been pretty low on the list o' stuff I need t'be worried about." He relaxed again, closing his eyes, cupping his hands and listening to the water.

Subito looked utterly horrified "What? I-no! You know I'd never do that!" he protested earnestly, his horror quickly giving way to a cheeky "Besides Mz. Pfer, I bet you'd kick my ass in ten different ways if I did try that." he waited politely as Cerys ordered their drink, warmly thanking the waiter before they departed. He glanced with a smirk at his date. "'Miss Bextor'? Geez Blodeu, reminds me of that time I found you at that club where that Avian guy attacked" with a laugh he softly mimicked her voice "'There's no time to explain but tonight my name is Ellis and I'm twenty-one'. Seriously, there's nobody like you in the world, my princess." he said warmly, tossing his suit jacket over the back of his chair and loosening his dark blue tie as the warmth of the heated and busy restaurant began to seep in. The music being played by the small orchestra on a level above them floated gently down, an old song by one of France's Baroque masters. "Hrm" the well-built boy took a sip of water and frowned for a moment before answering. Putting his glass on the table, his hand looking like it could crush it between two fingers, with a soft *tnk* he said "I...dunno 'bout that." brushing a few curls aside he went on, looking seriously at Blodeuwedd "What exactly d'you want to do when we get there..Ellis? I mean, you're seriously hot" he blurted, reddening but going on "and we've gotten real close, and then there was the Lost World thing. But...I really don't think we're ready for...you know...that yet." he took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes.

"...The captain can just happen to pick him up. Y'know, serendipity and stuff." Heraldo followed up, smiling cheerfully as though the badly winded Puerto Rican paragon had already known what the Australian telekinetic was going to say. Surveying the scattered thugs left after his ill-considered attack, he frowned "Better get these guys to the police. I'll do it, but I'll need a sec to get my strength back-" putting the Bandera back into its sheathe, Subito was about to sit down on a rock when his hand brushed the radio on his star-buckled belt, he blushed suddenly and slapped himself in the face "Or I could use this" he said sheepishly as he took it and called the captain "Hi, this is Heraldo. We trashed some of El Sierpe's goons who'll need collecting by Mexican police, they're at..." he quickly gave rough directions to where the crime boss's men could be found. Sliding it back onto his belt, the muscular boy was briefly surrounded by a golden fog, and with a rush of power his energy and speed were restored. It was the work of moments to bind the thug's hands with their own weapons, and when that was done he turned to Glow with a cheerful grin "Alright! Let's get out of here" he floated into the air, ready to soar back to captain Meddows and to Freedom!

"They won't save you from my wrath, noisome tyrant!" Subito shouted, jumping off the table and hitting the ground running as he raced towards the Queen as fast as his soaked clothes let him. 'Days like today I really regret wearing only white shirts...' When only a few feet from the stately and imperious Fey, the stocky Puerto Rican suddenly stopped and waited a moment for her to react, and then struck straight at her face like lightning with his powerful fists! Jumping back he called to Cerys "Blodeu! What's the plan?"

GM A furious look came into the eyes of the Queen, and with a shouted command her soldiers charged the two teenagers, spears held in a way instantly familiar to the eyes of the Welsh agent as the preparation for a disarming move. Stepping back their once-gracious hostess snarled "You will try and order a Queen to do thus and not thus? And you dare threaten me with the name Unseelie? Putrid brat! Your iron and pet lummox won't save you from my wrath! Or have you forgotten the chains of gold and silver?" she raised a hand and a faint pulse rippled through the water...

...And this time was no exception. "Only a few minutes left, comrades!" he exclaimed to the others, leaping over to the door and slamming the round portal open with his mighty shoulder and letting out through it a terrific gust of air. Holding an arm in front of his face to protect himself from the raging winds, El Heraldo squinted up at the trios' new opponent and winced. This didn't look like it would go as easily as he'd hoped. For a moment he was still and silent, the flamboyant paragon's clothes and unfurled Bandera flaring in the high wind. 'Imminent explosion, do not forget! Yes yes, I know! I was trying to think of a good way to beat this guy Good, I would advise you to punch that man in the stomach as hard as you can Let's try that out' Slamming his foot onto the harsh metal floor of Madame Vapuer's erstwhile airship the muscular Heraldo hurled himself towards the looming giant Avian, crossing the distance in the blink of an eye, raising a red-gloved fist as he ran that gathered a roaring golden glow around it, and when he was close enough he jumped a little and punched, driving his fist into the sternum of the mighty winged man!

GM Marduk crashed to the ground, his face contorted from the telekinetic impact. He hit the ground, coughing heavily and his robe tangled around him, just as the blue-clad woman tore back down the hallway in a blur, her fists this time not failing to land! With a burst of water that turned to vapor, Rapids launched five hundred punches, kicks and headbutts at once, the muscular woman a whirl of smooth motion that hit like a freight train. At last the barrage ceased, and without waiting to see the result, the blonde raced out of sight, the hallway and cubicles around them now thoroughly soaked.

Eh, feel free to Fiat the Staggered down to a Bruise or something. Ideally brains should beat this brawn, not just more brawn!

Suddenly, something HAPPENS! By all permissible, I promise you Tiff no thread I GM for you afterwards will ever be as bad as this one. I'm deeply sorry it dragged on for so pointlessly long. Should've just gone with my first idea where the chased and fought some kind of Headless Horseman. Anyway, combat time. Subito doesn't have his powers back yet, so Blodeuwedd can take a Standard Action to cut off the bracelets that won't let him transform. They're made of Fairy metal, so Dyrnwyn just whacks right through them. Initiatives for the Faerie Queen: 7. her four guards 8. and Subito 19. Roll Initiative for Blodeuwedd please.
-
"I have nothing to say right now! Just thought I'd let you guys know." Free Action to open up the hatch, Move Action up to the Avian, Standard Action to All-Out Power Attack (+2 Damage, -2 Defense): 23. That should hit, and if so DC28 Toughness save for him.

Subito jolted awake, staring in awe at Mali. "You've got superheroes in your family tree?" he asked, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape. Grinning he said excitedly "That is awesome. Are you the only hero your family has this generation, or are there others, or what? Nobody else in my family was a superhero that I know about, though my cousin's got powers and comes here sometimes for counseling. You seen him? Short guy, long curly hair? Anyway! Not important. What's it like, for you being a superhero I mean? Do your parents like that you do it?"

Initiative: 13. Go Sailor Puerto Rico! Also, Young Britannia's costume doesn't cover her back? :D

"Oh, I have no objections to that, made-do forgive me, miss Agnes" he said apologetically "the English 'Miss' is not automatic to me. As I was saying, I have no objections to your charity, but I do hope I can repay you. It is quite dishonorable to live on the kindness of others if you can support yourself. But if you insist on being my angel, I cannot justly refuse Heaven's aid." Roi grinned at her soubriquet. For all that the rest of the city was cold, this corner of it had some warmth of humanity left. It was helped by the match he struck for her cigarette, which he narrowly avoided burning his fingers on when it at last burst into flame. He suddenly frowned at the jazz singer's mention of one of her troubles. "Harry is...persistent, I take it? I regret to say Agnes I can understand him. You have are lovely." stirring the beer by gently swilling it he watched the amber liquid for a moment before adding "I am sure you have nothing to fear from me." he scowled at a remembered accusation and took a swift and long drink. Taking out his cherished deck, he set it on the bar and idly counted the cards again. They were all artful and intricately designed, though the colours were faded and the designs were grim. The resplendent kings wept at some tragic loss and the magnificent queens were mute with horror.

Picking up the stone and squinting it at for a moment, Marceau gave a low whistle and pocketed the thing in his utility belt. "I will have to bring this to René" he said aloud to the air, setting off for where this trouble had all started "He will enjoy knowing such things exist, at least!" recollecting his cards was the work of a few minutes, soon departing the alley-cum-battlefield with a high heart and a full deck. Getting word to Tenebrous about the victory, and thanking the young woman profusely for her help in making sure nobody was in harm's way, the King of Suits remained on that block for another hour to keep watch, meticulously discouraging particularly desperate thieves from stealing into people's homes as the dust settled. He made a few new enemies that night, though the fact that the superpowered Crusaders weren't around anymore did make the curses snarled at him by figures dashing into the night a little less vile. At last, things were more or less back to normal. The Fens were never likely to become crime-free without enormous effort, but as Marceau swung back to patrol above the grim and grimy district of Freedom City where he lived, he reflected 'Want is one thing few people here can be free of, but we can give these people freedom from one thing, freedom from fear'

From his post in the sky above the city, Heraldo instantly heard Cerys's voice, and turning in a flash of power the boy soared down into the hall, landing hard enough to dent the stone floor. Sliding an arm around her waist and another behind her knees, Subito glanced at the enormous mass of flesh and bone she and Tsunami had battled, and with a cheerful "Great job, Blodeu!" shot off again into the sky. He did take a moment to enjoy the flight, of course, the Welsh girl resting comfortably against him and fresh from battle, but the night..."I wish we could've done this before this place was attacked, it would have been beautiful." he smiled awkwardly at Cerys "Anyway, I'm glad things weren't worse." Sailing down out of the sky to the ragged band of people hurrying into the dark embrace of the jungle, the pair landed in their midst and dropping Blodeuwedd gently on her feet, falling in step next to her. "So, Zandar" he asked the Jungle Lord "where do we go first?"

GM With a tearing and horrible sound of sizzling flesh and bones, Blodeuwedd's sword cut through the king of terror's hide with terrible ease in a gout of reptilian blood that cascaded over the floor. It howled again, its voice sharpened by its agony and rage as the measly prey it had taken the humans for turned into deadly foes. The monster swayed and struggled to look blearily at the creature that had destroyed one of its eyes, limbs wavering and refusing to obey when he tried to launch a savage counter-attack. The injuries it had taken and the blood it had lost in such a short time were definitely taking their toll, and again the tyrannosaur fell partially to the ground and against one of the few undamaged walls, the bones cracking and collapsing under its gargantuan weight. The refugees from the fallen citadel quickly gathered to their silent and grim Lord and Lady, materializing out of the darkness and soon forming a vast and solemn procession to the north, deeper into the vast jungle. The heroes were, by some alchemy, allowed to walk at the front of the party.

"Ow." said Subito, eyes shut tight as the *BOOM* of Velocity's sound barrier breaking thundered through the air. Opening them again and blinking several times, the brightly-dressed boy nodded once to Cerys, muttering "I'll do that.", and followed Warp through the portal she had carved in space, telling Kit and Blodeuwedd before they vanished "I'm pretty hard to miss, I'll try and distract the robots from you two. Kit, you've tangled with the Foundry before and we haven't, we'll need your help to know about weak spots and stuff." squaring his broad shoulders Heraldo walked quickly through the unearthly door, felt himself hurled through a delirious void, and stumbled awkwardly out next to the lean young mutant, almost falling onto his hands and knees as he dazedly struggled to regain himself. "Urgh, I don't think I'll ever get used to that, Katni-I mean, Warp, blugh." he panted, glancing sheepishly up at the girl in black, standing up straight and tall as he recovered "Alright, now let's see what we've got."

DC25 TOU save: 15. It is Staggered!
-
"I don't look like a bad guy, and I can get hit pretty hard." the resplendent boy offered, rising up into the air and moving in the direction of the gunshots. "I've got super-hearing too, I could be pretty far off and still hear you guys. I'll go first and see what's going on!" he turned to Arcturus, the paragon drawing the Banner from its sheathe and slinging it over his shoulder "Errant can detect people real good, he can search for others." So saying, he shot off like a red blue and gold bullet through the trees, straight for the source of the nerve-wracking mystery!

DC27 Tou save: 22. Bruised again, and Dazed again!
