  1. As well, how do you guys want to do this? More of a comedic thing playing up the absurdity of the situation, or taken in a more serious way where what's going on is all too real for those involved? Or neither?
  2. Heraldo spoke up "Kit does make a good point though, Ms. Velocity. We need to cut off whatever signal's bein' broadcast first more than we need to smash some robots. And besides, I bet we can tear up those Foundry goons pretty good. They won't get past any of us!" he added with a note of pride and a faint smile. Turning to the others the young paragon said "Alright, let's get going! Warp, Kit, you can get all of us to those places no problem? Let's get go do the superhero thing." He smiled at the speedster, "Thanks a lot, Velocity. We'll take care of this, good luck with your mission!"
  3. Myrmidon catches a few glimpses of reptilian shadows flitting about the streets, but none of them get anywhere near the party. No raptors attack either.

    Twilight Tag(IC)

GM It took some spinning out, but just as the Queen was starting to suggest Subito hurry up his story, dropping hints like "Ah yes, such is the beauty of my realm, let us pass over its glory and come to what it held, yes?" or "Thy digging took less than the telling!" there was a sudden hiss of steam as a trim broadsword wreathed in blue flames sprang out of the water and over the deck, embedding itself point-first into the table before Blodeuwedd! The sudden appearance of Dyrnwyn promptly caused a panic among the Fey, though they only showed it by a collective cry of surprise and horror before abruptly stilling. Staring at the weapon, the Queen got very slowly to her feet and walked sideways, until the breadth of the table was between herself and it. With a voice and demeanour utterly composed, she asked the young agent politely and with a chilled smile "What, pray, drove ye to bring weapons to our peaceful meeting? I intended harm to none around here, and have raised the hand of war against no neighbour." As she spoke, the heavily armored guards were creeping gradually closer.

    Are You French Enough?

Entwining Blodeuwedd's fingers with his own, Subito quietly held her hand for a while, not blinking once as he stared into her eyes. Suddenly he laughed, brought her hand to his full lips for a faux-salacious kiss and released it, resting his chin on hands and beaming at her like the sun. "Blodeu, you make the best plans ever." he took a much more relaxed position against the chair, glancing around at the glittering surroundings and then back at Cerys. Flipping open the sleek and mostly white and gold menu he scanned it casually, asking Blodeuwedd "So, whaddaya wanna eat? Dunno about you, but I've never eaten most of the stuff on here, I'll try their...uh..." he read the word a few times to get a handle on it, saying with great decision "ratatouille niçoise, and something called a pan bagnat-oh!" his hazel eyes lit up as he found a very interesting section of the menu, and putting it partially down he asked the lithe agent brightly "Hey, you want to try any of their wines, princess? I mean," he blushed "I know we're not really old enough, but I've had wine plenty of times."
  6. Wasting perfectly good things is one of the things I do best! (Just ask AvengerAssembled!)

    Divine Theft (OOC)

    Marduk DC24 Toughness save: 5. He's out!
  8. Heraldo soared above the party, keeping a careful eye out for any more flying dinosaurs that might need to be taken care of. Hovering for a moment before following the strange band over the wall and into the jungle, he squinted at the broken hall and dimly made out Blodeuwedd slicing up the tyrannosaur. "Geez, that thing sure can take a beating" he muttered to himself, taking a post on one of the logs making up the Jungle Tribe's wall. He briefly scanned the sky around the enormous clearing for any beating wings or cruel flying shapes, and satisfied that neither were in the cards he soared several dozen feet into the air, doing his best to make sure nothing small and vicious tried to sneak up on the escaping Jungle rulers and their visitors.
  9. Alright, Heraldo moves over to the rest of the gang, leaving rounds. Keeping in the air in case anything else shows up. Notice roll: 10. Well then!
  10. The stifling heat wasn't as overpowering as it had been among the trees, but El Heraldo was still sweating and grumpy by the time the two spirit-bearers took flight. His mood was made no better when Broke Crow had ordered their descent into a seemingly random part of the swamp, muttering to himself "Hope he hasn't started to go crazy from bein' around that woman, that'd suck." Nonetheless, he put down the Master Mage with all due care, taking up position facing the opposite direction that Young Britannia did. "Can't be all that many supers, they'd be big news around here." he commented to Agnus, staring moodily into the murky trees and evil-smelling water, ears twitching as insects hummed around them.

    Are You French Enough?

"No, I don't mean it like that. Subito shook his head vigorously, swinging his arms over the back of the chair and frowning at the table for a moment. Looking back up at Blodeuwedd he said "I don't know what you do on a date." he blushed furiously and rubbed at the back of his head, heedless of the raised eyebrows he got from a few of the nearby diners. "I mean, I thought as far as the whole 'take you out to dinner', but...that's about it. Do we like, talk about ourselves?" Sinking back against the table he went on "I've never been on a date, except once back in Joseph Clark High, that didn't go too well...and once with another student at Claremont" he winced at the memory of Janis, and soldiered on "...Anyway! What kind of stuff did the Amdiffynnwr teach you about going to restaurants?"
  12. That hits, yes. DC25 Toughness save: 26. Huh.
  13. Roi smiled again "No sir, I am not from around here. And I quite understand, I have no intention of not paying." Croak's unfriendly greeting wasn't the worst Roi had had so far, the dull ache on one rib reminded him of that, but it still made his warm smile quaver. Roi still gave the unsavory man a winning smile as he reached into his pockets and pulled it out totally empty, except for a battered deck of cards. Staring in horror at it for a second before he recalled that shivering urchin with the pleading eyes on the bridge, the Frenchman began "My apologies, but perhaps I could work off the-" "-cost." With a deferential nod and grateful look to his savior, Roi took a quick sip of the bitter drink and shook her hand willingly after taking off a partially soaked glove "Roi Suvou, Agnes. Thank you for the welcome." he took a seat a little closer to the singer, explaining cheerfully "I am from France, Rheims to be specific. I'm here to visit some relatives." the last was added quickly, almost self-consciously. Taking a sip to steady his nerves he asked Agnes "How may I repay you, mad-miss Agnes?"
  14. Heraldo glanced from Blodeuwedd to Lord Steam and back, fighting back a grin as the two avidly discussed the possibility of using Madame Vapeur's own improbable technology to fight her guard. Raising a hand he broke in "Guys! Guys, just strap yourselves to me, get some guns, we can take anything. That big man out there?" he jerked his thumb out the port at the ominous slab of Avian being, giving the dashing young agent and the inventive detective a confident smile "I'm willin' to bet he's not as strong as I am!" He checked the walls nearby for a good place to punch out "It's either that or we try to talk him down, or fight him while we're all piecemeal and can be chucked off!" he looked meaningfully at Blodeuwedd "I'd rather we didn't risk that." he checked his watch, knowing that five minutes often seemed much longer than it really was...
  15. Here, maybe I can find someone who knows this city's underworld, maybe a few loose lips will drop the words I need to save them... The doors of the bar slid open, disturbed from their bitter and liquor-soaked dreams of better days by an engaging young man with quite dark skin, bristling and close-cut hair under a hat, and a trim beard wearing clothes only mostly soaked by the wet snow of the dismal night. Taking a moment to glance around, Roi tentatively removed his sodden coat and scarf, the cold wind rushing outside almost as chilling as the eyes that met his. The floor was slick under his step as he walked up to the bar, slick like the pin-striped men at the table he passed, and the words he heard drop from a scarred face only a few feet from his elbow. Starting as a similarly-complexioned young woman seemed to almost lose her footing, Roi was among the many concerned faces that began to offer assistance before they saw it wasn't needed. "Pardon me miss! A-ah, never mind" Roi said, voice quickly dropping and a smile of relief passing over his gentle face as the lady righted herself. The tailor was right after the singer at the bar, smiling at the barman and saying in his lightly-accented voice "Excuse me sir, but may I have a beer?" doffing his hat he added with polite smile to Agnus "Good evening, madmoiselle"

  18. Darn it! I completely forgot. My apologies. So, the idea is that an energy suffuses EH's body when he transforms, and usually he uses that energy to increase his strength. He's instead using it to form and project bolts of magical power.
  19. Heraldo listened in silent awe as Glow neatly dissembled the crime lord's entire future, and had to restrain himself from just clapping with super-powered claps at her crisp and cutting words. He was about to say something along the line of "Yeah! What she said!" when the world was completely overturned by the crack of doom that blasted through his ears, and Subito clutched his head briefly, wincing in pain as enhanced hearing again became a terrible curse. After the ringing and dull ache had begun to fade, Heraldo saw Glow deftly disarm the hardened men El Sierpe had brought along, giving a pained whoop as their guns were torn from their hands! Picking up the Banner, he leaped into the middle of El Sierpe's forces. "That snake's all yours, Glow! I won't get in the way of his beatdown!" the stocky boy told the upbeat telekinetic, grinning as he landed, and slamming his hand into the ground, causing a blast of power to surge form him into a potent and destructive wave that smashed into the thugs! 'This is a good day! Thanks to her, yes Still a good day! ...Yes'

  22. Squinting into the fog at the strange new arrival, Marceau began "Wait. René, did you just-" Evading the departing socialites and various French citizens as best he could, the jostled and now very confused King of Suits quickly found the room almost totally empty again, which suddenly reminded him of the mysterious disappearance of the lady Martel-'Bah, she must have escaped and gone to get help, maybe the rumors are true, and she IS the Renard Bleu!' drawing another, different card from his belt, he tested its edge, drew back his arm and called out to Gallia "You, who refuse to open your eyes, will not miss their being blinded I bet!" he hurled the card at the floating possessed woman's head, barely managing to correct its flight as it left his fingers that nearly sent it spiraling into the far wall! Darting off away from René and the strange man, he went on tauntingly "If you are so concerned about your people, Jeanne-Gallia, then cut your strings from that puppet! Dragging innocents into this, that's beneath any spirit!"
  23. Okay! Time for some attacking. Switching to the Dazzle power on the array, and Attacking Gallia with it: 31! Anti-concealment roll: 1. Missed! Reroll: 5. reroll makes that a 15, which should connect! Move action away from Dead Beat and René in the fog, towards the door le horde came from.
  24. GM Darting out from the midst of the quickly-demolished pack, the rulers of the jungle thanked their rescuer warmly and hastened to see to the escape of their subjects. By now the towering reptiles had utterly demolished the archaic structures, crushing towers, trampling walls and scattering whole neighborhoods in splintering masses, their footsteps making a racket like firecrackers as the made their ponderous way. As the ambassadors from the Inca and Roma dashed out of the hall, shouting thanks and praise of the teens' power and skill, the archaic men cutting bizarre figures as they all but leaped down the broad steps before the broken bone house, their flowing clothes whirling around them as they ran. One of the Romans, passing by a fallen ptero-rider, chanced to glance down at him and suddenly let out a furious cry, reaching down to tear off a length of cloth from his robe and peering at it in the stark moonlight. Myrmidon and Tsunami saw him glare at one of the passing Viracochasuyuns and stuff the torn cloth into his tunic, resuming his run while watching the mountain-dwellers with cold eyes. Soon the motley band was starting on its way towards the open gate into the forest, the citadel while magnificent not being nearly as large as many Earthly settlements. On the other side of the city lower and prowling forms could be seen, hunting. Meanwhile, in the hall the tyrannosaur made a desperate effort to get to its feet...and fell back down with a mournful growl, obviously still too shaken by the powerful attacks that had smashed and torn through it to launch an attack of its own. Its undamaged eye looked with evil hatred at Blodeuwedd and her blazing sword.
