The triton gurgled in grudging admiration as he watched the small ice platform coalesce into existence out of the sea. He slithered up through the gently rolling waves and tested it with a claw, grating "Hrugh. Grand work Temperance." with a curt nod before taking up a seat at the back, draping himself over it with profound unconcern, his head resting comfortably under the Narrows. Flight was something he had rarely experienced in such favorable circumstances, mostly it happened when he had rather fewer limbs and was being flung in a bloody arc out of the fight by some savage fighter of the depths. He closed his eyes and gripped the sledge under his iron nails, enjoying the miracle as they sailed through the air, tumbling off with a jolt as Temperance landed them softly on the far side among the towering shadows of human industry, sliding up onto the shore and regaining his more human legs with a flash of light. He looked around at the new surroundings with guarded interest. "I will try and spot them." Wave-Eye rattled, his black eyes suddenly shining with a spectral light as the darkness was slowly replaced by a cold green. When they had almost entirely turned the color of jade, he took a deep breath and peered slowly through the evening air, searching for the tell-tale signs of human witchcraft...

I was going to stunt Detect Magic, but realized that Magic Awareness was what I was thinking of. So, stunted off of Wave-Eye's existing Super-Senses suite, Super-Senses 5(Magic Awareness(Visual), Analytical(Visual senses), Counters Concealment)[5PP] EDIT: Visual's already Accurate. Notice roll with it to see if he can see anything with it around the docks: 9. Rerolling(0HP left): 16. Well then.

Simplest and most obvious idea would be for, say, Star Knight to request backup when some giant space animal or stellar entity gets loose. That provides a clear target, clear reason for the group to gather, and potentially puts them in touch for future adventures.

"Just one, friend" the King of Suits replied mildly, edging slowly closer to the guard, the strange sense of unease about the man's story growing greater. "I fail to see why being asked your name would lead to such a reaction. Did-ah, hello" he added with a bright smile to the young nurse who came panting into the lobby "I trust nothing has happened upstairs? Sit down here" he said kindly, leading him to a nearby chair before turning his attention back to the guards. "Did anything else happen that might have caused such distress? And may I know your name sir?"

Red Moon bowed her head slightly at the cold look, explaining awkwardly "The thieves sought to steal a large number of valuable minerals and currency used by your citizens, along with a small, heavy strongbox that holds...I do not know what." she admitted, her synthesized voice groaning and grumbling at the edges of hearing, though the words themselves were clear as bells. "The human robbers entered, and kept the people within from calling for help or escaping, while their leader and his robotic bee cut open the vault door with high-powered lasers. I assisted the Bee-Keeper in defeating them, and stopping the robot from fleeing with the strongbox." She suddenly felt very self-conscious, glancing shyly at all the human eyes looking up at her and the Apian Avenger, thankful for the smoke-shrouded helmet covering her face. With a soft rumble she added "We are glad to have been around, when can we find out what was in the strongbox?"

GM The chimps were by now thoroughly befouled, and as they ambled or slunk out of the truck the two supervillains politely stepped back to give them some much-needed space. As they passed Philos the Farsider could have sworn they looked up at him in awe. The bull buffalo was also taken slightly aback by the sudden appearance of the towering man with the bizarre smell, staring with belligerent stupidity before it began to dawn on the beast that it was being asked to be at ease, and told that it was not in danger. Its ears drooped and it strode by the young man without a sound beside the tramp of its hooves as the heavy body swayed out of the metal box. The slightly smaller cow behind it, however, proved much harder to convince, stepping carefully backwards and dropping its head, just a little. She fixed her eyes on the mystifying creature before her, and weighed her chances if she charged. "I can just Send it and her mate back with part of the truck." Archetype offered casually, flicking aside one of the monkeys that strayed too close to her and Wreak.

GM From the freight trucks a raucous storm of bellowing, thunderous lowing and the high-pitched shrieks and whoops of agitated monkeys resounded. The leftwards truck was dented in several places with the imprint of horns on the walls, and occasionally shook at the steps of the buffalo inside. The lighter but much more numerous and quicker-footed rattles of chimps pattered out of the middle truck, punctuated with the sounds of wet thuds and a sudden, piercing scream. The rightward truck was eerily silent. Several Freedonians had already gathered nearby, and gave the supervillains and their two traveling companions deeply unfavorable looks. The sounds of disapproving mutters filtered through the air.

I ask everyone's pardon for the delay. Anyway, Hlab tries to escape the Grapple: 23. Starlight is up!

GM The vision of the future that Sam showed to the argent shade of Lauren Hammond didn't have quite the reaction hoped for. Her spectral eyes dimmed as the ghost saw the name of Katherine Shade reach a prominence far greater than hers ever had, while she did not even have the dignity of being reviled, merely...ignored. For an instant a crippling terror for what was to come seized the ghosts old and frozen heart, only to be brushed aside as reality reasserted itself: the slip of a girl below her was no great talent, she was a mere mediocrity who would shortly have her very soul torn asunder by her unearthly power! "Your attempts to distract me are getting feebler, Katherine" she snarled with a flare of icy blue from her eyes and she began to waver, becoming even more ethereal than before "observe the difference between your repetitive tricks, and a truly classic act!" as she began to fly down towards her with unhurried movements, her black dress rustling in the air... Meanwhile, the Silver Scream flowed elegantly above the very center aisle of the theatre, crossing her arms with a scornful toss of her hair as the illusory woman drew closer to the young mutant, glancing with a smirk at the last stragglers stumbling out the door, their panicked cries ringing out into the desolate hallways.

They are still a little mad, due to being abducted and confined out of nowhere.

The chimps and one of the buffaloes is calmed!

Wave-Eye did his best not to look irritated 'Yes, that's what the ondine just said human child, why did you have to ruin that?' aloud he said, rising to his feet "Well then, let us be off! I shall go the direct route, I have no heart for the subtle approach." Walking up to his broad hips in the water, there was a flash of light as his legs joined together, once again sealing into the mighty dragon's tail that flicked a spray of water into the air. Turning back to the humans he called over "If you have no quicker path, you are welcome to sit on my back, I will gladly serve as ferryman." Bowing his head into the Centary Narrows he added sonorously to the ondine "We thank you for your aid, wise one of the deep. May the waters of your home flow unending."

GM The Queen proved an amazingly quick study of the game, her eyes picking out the best arcs for her birds to sail in order to smash holes in the fortresses of the pigs. It took her a while of tentative, wary taps at the screen to figure out just how Angry Birds worked, but the catapult was instantly recognized and soon she was flinging infuriated avians with smooth swipes of her elegant fingers, laughing joyfully as the last stage was cleared, and she beat Subito's score by several thousand points quite handily. Tossing it with a triumphant shake of her magnificent hair onto the table, she proclaimed cheerfully to Blodeuwedd "Ha! A splendid game, little Agent! And one that I am as superior at as any you can devise!" she reclined deeper into the chair, murmuring "I must try and bring it into my realm, perhaps using my servants..." Medraut's voice called out with a note of suspicion, carrying to both Subito and Cerys' ears, the boy hearing it though the phone and the agent hearing it through her connection to Dyrnwyn "Hello? Supervisor Medraut here, I hear you. Well, we're surrounded by Fey, and we have discovered whose ghost that is hanging above the lake: it is Brân Fendigaidd, the great giant and ancient king of Wales. Apparently his skeleton lies here, as does that cauldron which caused so much trouble in Ireland. We need to secure the shards of that thing before the Queen uses it to make herself unbeatable."
-
Taking the phone and looking it over for a second, Subito raised an eyebrow at Blodeuwedd's plan. It sounded pretty crazy, but she seemed to have a pretty good handle on the situation... He nodded, muttered "'Kay, on it." and tapped the call button, holding it next to his ear as he watched the Fey Queen's fingers flicking back and forth along the phone. When he reached the man's phone he said softly "Hey, Mr. Medraut? Can you hear this? What's going on with you guys?" he winced at the dry hum of magic carrying the electric signal, concentrating as best he could on the other end.

Blargh! Sorry TheAbsurdist, I totally forgot it was my turn. Anyway, Heraldo will try for a physical Grapple to complement Errant's mental one. All-Out(+2 Attack, -2 Defense): 31! A natural 20, so +5 to the DC of the Grapple check: 26! With the critical, the opposed Grapple DC is 31.

Dodging a spear, Subito rolled his eyes and stifled a laugh "Yeah, bein' called that probably won't make her too happy. I'm fine with us just bein' friends before her Crazyship if you want. And screwing up the timeline probably isn't too likely, I don't remember much history about tribes in swamps in this time-period." He frowned "Though, if they could capture Broken Crow, I wonder how we'll manage to get him out? Our powers are magical too, aren't they? Maybe she knows a way to stop people usin' that kind of power?" he suggested uneasily, glancing around at the mantled and noisome trees.

GM The audience by now was in full retreat, dashing for the exits in a screaming panic. Jessica didn't need to be told twice, awkwardly hoisting Marty over her shoulders and stumbling off towards one of the glowing "EXIT"-signed doors, calling back in terror "Get out of there Kat! Don't get yourself killed because of me!", barging open the door and running out into the night, straight for a payphone as she fumbled for her pockets... The Silver Scream looked hatefully at Kat as the taunt rang through the echoing theatre, sneering in her bloodless and shrill voice "I was once one of the finest actresses of the century! I'll not suffer the jibes and stupid words of some neophyte! How about I rattle a chandelier onto your head, you little snip? Burn you with spectral fire? You will pay for that-augghhh!" The ephemeral diva shuddered and placed a cold hand over her wailing face under a sudden deluge of bitter memories: her family shutting their door in her face, her last co-star quitting after a single scene with her, hearing the gas-station attendants mockingly quoting one of her movies that night...and shook it off with a dismissive wave of her hand. "A good try, insipid child." she snapped at Kat, her eyes suddenly flashing with a terrible light "But not enough to beat a spectre of my years!" she cried in a voice like a tomb slamming shut, a sudden wave of pain and chattering death blazing through Kat's mind! Darting with a billow of her sheer black evening dress into the air, she looked down coldly at her new

"Hey, it's not a lie if it's possible!" Subito protested, not even bothering to hide the grin. Sliding up onto the ledge a few feet from Kat he began eagerly, not quite registering the approaching heartbeat and rhythm of the approaching footsteps until it was too late "Now, do you wanna do the same thing again, or-" "Cerys!" Subito cried, spinning around with stars in his eyes, almost falling over in his haste to swivel with maximum speed, "You bet we-" and finding himself looking up at the Welsh girl in a swimsuit. He blushed openly and hurriedly looked into her eyes, glancing at Kat thankfully when she stated matter-of-factly what had been going on. "She was havin' some trouble, I gave her a hand with relearning how to swim, she's not done it in years, and, uh..." he looked between the two girls and battled the war in his brain over whether to simply introduce them or else let them meet each other before suddenly gesturing with his left hand to Cerys "Cerys! Also known as Blodeuwedd, she's a ninja with a magic sword!" he swung his other hand next to Kat "Kat! I think that's short for 'Katherine'? That right? Anyway, she's a mutant! She's strong." he added cheerfully to Blodeuwedd "I think she's stronger'n I am normally!". After a second he glanced up at her and asked almost shyly "Anyway, you were comin' by to do some laps, Blodeu?" The muscular boy rubbed the back of his soaked and dripping hair plastered against his head briskly, silently praying this wouldn't get weird, and horrible. He didn't know how it might get horrible but he could imagine all too easily.

The Farsider looked dubiously at the strongbox in her arms. She was curious too, deeply so, and it would have been a lie by omission not to say that she was spurred onwards by the fact that they had had to fight to obtain the thing, but had had seen where unchecked curiosity could lead. With a soft electronic warble and cold reverberation behind her words Red Moon said brusquely "No. We will ask the owner of this bank what lies within the box. Better we ask than make fools of ourselves." she put the lockbox back down, with considerable and obvious reluctance, onto the harsh floor with a resounding thud as it slipped through her gloved fingers. Staring down at the staunch little enigma for a while, she realized with a suddenness that would normally have jolted her that she had just foiled a super-villainous attack! With an electronic thrum she said softly to Bee-Keeper III "Never done...this before." she looked over at the fallen robot "You did very well. With those robbers, I mean. Did they steal one of your inventions?" she intoned anxiously.

GM This was clearly something that the so-called New Breed didn't teach its children how to deal with. Taken aback by the threat, Wreak looked deeply nervous as he gazed down at the smaller man. When he replied, it was with an undercurrent of fear "I...alright, fine. Follow me." the bulky man quickly led the way out the door, heading down the street and glancing at the crowd with a distracted irritation as they cheered, anticipating that the man had surrendered to justice, and that the threat was past. "When my clan rules" he muttered "we will-wait, what?!" he exclaimed as he saw Archetype walking up with Philos beside her. She waved quietly. Pointing at the towering youth Wreak spluttered "But-! I-! You...why didn't you burn him, Arch?" "Because if I do, then we'll have a heck of a time getting those animals back home" she explained wearily. Wreak's visible face darkened even more, and he grated "....FINE!" he shouted angrily "We'll just throw in the towel now, right after we begin! Truly this is a great day for the New Breed." he slunk into line behind Philos, giving him a prodigious stink-eye "Lead on, you know where the animals are anyway." "Sure. One moment." Archetype answered brightly, holding up one hand and surrounding the small band in the same Sending Sphere from before, and the quartet vanished in a flare of light! They appeared in a parking lot nearby, next to a trio of freight trucks. Archetype rubbed her hands, muttering "Okay, now which one was which..." she glanced at Philos "Get ready, those buffalo are pretty angry by now. Also, hi Cardman!" she added brightly to the King of Suits.
