Driving powerful fist into the flank of the winged man as he dashed out into the narrow hall El Heraldo called back to Blodeuwedd with a nervous laugh "You're talking about me, right? I am kind of like a bazooka!" he laughed anxiously, keeping a sharp eye and sharper ear out for the powerful forms, heavy tread or strong wingbeats that would signal the approach of more pawns in Madame Vapeur's dastardly game. His footing almost slipped and he steadied himself against the vibrating wall as a rumble passed through the airship, and for a moment he suffered a terrible sensation of vertigo as he thought of the horrible drop that awaited them... 'What is she planning...why is she doing this?!' he raged internally, the only outward sign besides an angry scowl a tighter grip on the Banner as he ran.

GM With a faint electric crackle the arachnid-themed heroine heard Dir. Schultz's pleasant voice on the other end "Use of military jargon, while music to the ears of an old soldier, is quite unnecessary Silver Spider. Glad to hear you and the rest of that merry band have been successful! Everything is..ah, alright Captain, thanks for the heads-up." she heard him say to someone else before his voice grew louder from being closer to the microphone "Sorry, Captain Maddicks just wanted me to let you know that Gabriel caught someone trying to get into the helicopter. Judging by the guns on that thing, quite fortunate. Anyway, everything's quiet out here, Mr. al-Misri and Young Britannia have gone inside the building after taking care of the OVERTHROW soldiers on the roof. If you can, take the hostages out the back way, no point taking any chances. Schultz out."

Subito hadn't needed to be told twice, nodding shortly and sliding his hand around Cerys' own with a quick smile before closing his eyes as they teleported. Coming to as the planet spun in front of his eyes for a few seconds, he shook his head and stumbled for a few steps away from the group "Sure thing, Elias. Just a second and I'll get you guys a few cups..." In a moment his steps were firmer and he walked up to the counter, flashing a brilliant smile at the lunch lady "Hello! Can I have three cups for water, please? Thanks!" he said, returning to the table nearby the troupe, placing them neatly around. "So, Blodeu, you think he'll want a tour of the place right away?" he asked the reserved girl with a laugh.

"No miss, I'm afraid I don't know who this man is, or why he was attacking." Heraldo explained with an apologetic air to the woman he had asked to call the police, starting when he saw Errant walk out of the crowd and onto the street. Turning back to her he said gravely "The moment I know something, you will too! If you will excuse me, this is my comrade. Errant!" he called over to the other Claremont student, walking over to the pair with his Banner over his shoulder. Looking over the mental investigation he frowned slightly behind his mask, the breathing and heartbeats that thundered closest in his ears slowing and matching. He kept a few steps away, though he looked anxiously at Elias. At last he could bear it no longer. "Errant, have you found anything about this man?" he asked hopefully.

First off, that's an idea I never would have thought of, second, I question the necessity of that. If this is simply a way for you to make comics about the characters on this site, then I don't see much need to make up an entire slightly different universe history and world. As far as I understand you just need to make clear that the setting elements used are owned by Green Ronin and you should be mostly okay. Of course, not aware as to the extent of what this comic series will even be, I'm guessing it's a webcomic.

GM The OVERTHROW soldier nodded, a look of irritation crossing his face just as the blast of solid light struck him "Oh, yeah, that so-argh!" he began, only to cry aloud in pain as he was flung fifty feet and into a hardwood wall, which he slumped off of in a heap. At the sound of the thud and the blaze of light, the hostages slowly began to creep out of the lunch room they had been held in before the leader saw Starlight and gleefully called back into the room "It's okay! We're saved!", the civil servants quick to rush out of the room, many of them eagerly shaking the Grue's hand and thank her, the grey-haired Mayor OÇonnor among them, with a smile as well as an earnest"We can't thank you enough! You've saved our lives, ma'am, and stopped a terrible threat to this city." he glanced down the halls "Is it safe for these people to leave the building? Or are there other OVERTHROW goons that still need to be collared?" he asked with a rueful rub at a slight bruise on his neck.

The success of her attacks had made her just a bit more confident, and it had not occurred to her before she saw the building light and felt the tremor of power that she remembered '...The machine!' turning too late, tensing old bones too slowly to get out from under its deathly gaze! The laser blasts that seared through the air from the robot's eyes scorched clean through Red Moon's unarmored jumpsuit, bubbling and melting the dried corpse underneath! The costume's new holes hissed and smoked while the clothes underneath flared briefly before extinguishing. Staggering backwards more in surprise than in real pain, the world whirled around her, and she collapsed briefly to one knee as her hands slammed onto the floor, faint groans and snarls echoed out from the helmet as she began desperately struggling to will herself up, back into the fight...

He cannot make that roll. He's down. Hostages are rescued for the moment. Silver Spider is up! Feel free to make a Notice roll to see if she hears the ruckus at the front door.

I would rather not use a HP to recover early.

Meanwhile on the roof, The King of Suits kept his distance from the presumed guard. His manner was quite at odds with his story, sounding almost nonchalant that someone had just barged in, knocked out one of his comrades and then left when confronted. He knew that the security force of a place like the Lab would have to possess stronger nerves than others, but that was still suspicious. "That is a shame." he said thoughtfully, inspecting the man with care "Can you tell us what the attacker looked like? Don't worry, I am a superhero, the King of Suits!" he added with a slight bow "I will happily help track down whoever it was who did this. So. What did you see?"

That's what I thought we were doing.

'Wait, tired already? How- She came from another country. use your brain. ...Oh, right. Darn jet lag.' With a wry smile of sympathy Subito nodded, saying brightly as he pointed out the glass window of the Greenhouse at the buildings of interest "Sure thing, Cerys! The dorms are right in the middle of the campus, the two buildings next to each other right over there. The Rita Kord Dorm is the purple-roofed one, the other is Edward Carter Dorm. Just say the word and we'll show you every nook and corner of this place that we can think of!" he shook her hand with a firm hand before nodding to the others and setting off back to the path to continue his run "Thanks a lot guys, and keep a look-out for that guide who never showed up." he added a little darkly, waving a good-bye to their new schoolmate as he walked out. "See you around Cerys. I hope you love it here and make loads of friends!" he said with a grin that said he had no doubts about that.
-
"Oh thanks Blod-uh, we, er..." began Subito as he switched from a thankful grin to a much more uneasy look, glancing at Elias for a moment in indecision before thinking '...You know what? Let's go with that.' he leaned his head back to smile at Cerys "We were talkin' 'bout you, m'lady! And about El here, who thinks it might be a bit uncomfortable to be around two, um..couples." he managed with only a slight blush and lowering of his voice. "I don't think it will be as bad as y'might think El," he added with a careless shake of his head to the teen telekinetic "we're not going to be sharing each others' tents or anything." He was glad to hear such an endorsement of Tona's skill, looking out into the forest where he could dimly make out their footsteps and brief snatches of their voices. 'I wonder how they met, come to think of it...' saying aloud "Here's hopin' they find something good! Mushrooms are great, but I've never had rabbit before." he commented, tossing himself back onto the grass, his head under his folded hands. "So, El, how do you use knives right?" he looked up at Cerys, adding cheerily "Lemme know if he's teaching me wrong, princess! It'd be pretty bad for both of us if I lost my hands!"

He had floated down during the captain's assessment of what help they could be, standing once again nearby at the end of it. Nodding at Glow's suggestion that they go talk to the lawyer he said "Not a bad idea. Naturally he'll both be scared by what El Sierpe might do to him for his betrayal and want to keep that from happening, and aware what will happen if he tries to obstruct justice. You want me to throw that other filing cabinet at him if he gets any ideas?" he asked with a strained by still cocky grin. Turning to examine the house his face fell a little, which his mask was wholly unable to hide "Hopefully whatever evidence is in there won't need x-ray eyes to find. Wish I was one of the gadget guys like Net Fly, they'd know just what to make." rubbing his face brusquely he looked back to Glow. "So lawyer, lunch, then a look-see?" he laughed, hovering up into the air again "Let's go!" and soared off for the office once again.

GM Freedom City, Theatre District, 454 52nd Ave., the Barbary Theatre, November 20th, Tuesday, 5.49 P.M. Second Act. The Ghost of Brandenbury Hill had been a surprising success for its producers. A harrowing tale of the two Brandenbury sisters and their struggle to reveal the misdeeds of a cruel judge who had sent their brother to the gallows to hide his own son's wrongdoing, aided by the brother's ghost, had been selling out for the last week every night. Backstage with Katherine Shade, fussing with her raven wig, Joanna Jael grinned excitedly at her co-star. In her Elizabethan period costume the dumpy girl was almost unrecognizable, transformed into the dark and severe lady Rebecca. "You ready for this, Kat?" she asked, nodding at the curtain and darkened visible down the passage "I hope Fred does that thing with the ghost he did last week, that was just craaazy cool!" she laughed. Jael's family had a long history in stage and show business, her great-grandmother having been a contemporary of the woman who had become the Silver Scream, breaking all ties with her when the she had entered her legendary diva stage of her life. In the seats, the smell of refreshments hung in the air, most of the audience whispering to each other as the time approached for the curtain to raise once more...

Red Moon had flinched as she was eerily silhouetted in the flashing blasts that tore their way through the atmosphere past her and hissing into the wall, too startled to move despite not being able to truly feel the emotion of shock. She had been tensing her withered limbs, about to send a hand through the other human's psychic tendons when the boy was sent crashing against the wall by the armored apian's mighty fist! Stepping backwards she watched the sharp arc of the would-be bank robber's body, blinking in a somewhat reptilian fashion before answering the young hero's earnest and excited call for action. With a faint electronic hum that built as her suit's vocal amplifiers set to work *krmjrakmm*"The steel one is yours, leave the other to me"*kraashhkm* she said quietly, spidering majestically across the hall, her step slow and ponderous, though she covered ground rapidly with her inhumanly long legs. Her boots tapped rhythmically on the floor as she passed serenely into the smoking hole in the vault door, bending gracefully under and through it before beholding the master of thieves and his metallic servant. With a sudden burst of movement she lunged across the room in a single step and slashed her hand through the air, aiming it with precision at the collarbone of her enemy! 'He shall fall like a puppet with cut strings.'

GM The shop was an absolute mess, most of the shelves were toppled, the merchandise was in piles of books, broken wood, long and heavy cords of cloth, masks and busts without count that littered the floor, and the hanging lights were still lit though. Wreak stood in the middle of a stack of masks, carefully sifting through it when he heard the King of Suits behind him. Whirling around, he glared at the lean man, walking up to him and snapping "Do not presume to understand the ways of the New Breed, relic! You shall be swept aside like all the others!" energy trails shaped as spirals began to unravel from his arms and legs, and his eyes began to glow "Desist, and begone or prepare to learn the new law of the modern jungle. You'll get no answers from me!" Archetype stood in the middle of the herd, sphere gradually growing around her and the antelopes, who at first sight of it began to get skittish, edging away from it as it slowly began to encompass them. "Make sure none of those things stay outside the field, I don't want any of them left over."

Subito looked more than a little relieved when John explained patiently that he wasn't interested. Nodding to show he understood he looked down at his hands folded on his lap, thinking quietly before speaking again. "Thanks, Mr. Smith. For, uh, not being the kind of guy who flips out at stuff like that." he clarified hastily "I, uh...look, I'm not gay." he said flatly, blushing deeply as he said it "Just..I got excited, is all. That and you're really good looking, as I'm sure you've been told a billion times already." he added, rubbing the back of his head. "I'm still sorry for doin' that. I mean, it's kind of frowned upon to kiss people out of nowhere like that, and for good reason." He looked back up, obviously discomforted by John's recount of how he had been augmented mentally "You were altered so that you wouldn't be..distracted like that? That sounds horrible. I know it's normal for you, but still." he said, jumping heavily off the bed and leaning against it. There was a pregnant silence as he cast about for something, anything to say, at last managing "I'll make sure that doesn't happen again, and do my best not to be awkward around you in future. This was really not how I hoped that would end up" he admitted with a sheepish grin before he smiled more genuinely "But anyway, thanks a lot for your help with the studying John. That's something I'm really interested in, and it's great to talk to people about that stuff, 'specially folks like you."
