GM There was a slowed thrumming before Constance answered she said sadly, perking up at the mention of Jinx she sang out, the singing oddly distinct and sounding like it came from a machine instead of a person. With a short laugh she asked She sounded more than a little nervous at the idea, despite her own assurance.

Hearing the *thud* of Glow's telekinetic attack Heraldo gave a sigh of relief, and focused his patriotically-empowered body into the task of getting free from the snakes formed of magic force, testing the might of the Blue Dame against the coils of the Unspeakable One! Whoever they were. Stopping his furious writhing for a moment, he focused intently on the power surrounding and permeating him, concentrating on what it was that made him as strong as he was now. he let the brow of his cap crush against the floor as he rested his head on it, counting to ten before with a sudden shout he thrust out with all his limbs at once, a golden glow suffusing his body in a flaring light that lit up the hallway, his legs and arms tearing deeply into the magic that made up the bodies of the hissing snakes that bound him, but it failed to tear him totally free. Their lashings were now much more frantic, something that drew a cheerful laugh from the young paragon "Hahaha! Keep at him, Glow! Soon I'll be free of this, and joining you in battle once more!"

Alright, now for a try at breaking the Snare. STR roll!: 29!

He didn't share that fervor(and he could never have guessed how deep it ran), and the sentiment was..slightly different from what he held, but he understood the need for all sapient beings to have freedom from oppression. He mulled over what he had heard from the two sides, and nodded suddenly "This is suspect. Why would they kidnap humans if they were just rebelling against the fairy nobles? Their revolt seems real enough besides that, they were going to be reinforced soon by other rebels. Parsinkle doesn't strike me as the sort of man..well, fairy, who would want to just enforce order, in all honesty I wonder if we did the right thing here. I was so focused on making a distraction I never thought about it, but he feels downright cruel to me somehow. In absence of other evidence, I say they must be fighting for their liberty from the likes of Parsinkle. Rene, I have the horrible feeling we've just helped him recapture some of his slaves.." he face had been gradually drawn downwards as he thought, looking back up with a look of quiet horror. He frowned "But why are the Redcaps with him loyal? In the presence of such a superior force they could have just dragged him from his horse and taken him a captive to their brothers. Are there factions of these creatures? I can't make sense of this" he muttered, scowling in frustration as the oddness of the situation struck him fully. "You know far more about the Fey than I do, Rene. is this..normal for them?"

Very nice! An interesting character. I have a few nitpicks unfortunately. The Crunch: Just about all 14s in your Ability scores will probably get eyerolls, but it's not a bad thing in itself. I'm not one to talk ever about this but such low saves might not be a good idea. If you can, I'd advise bumping them up at least a rank or so. Seeing as both Melee and Ranged are the same bonus, there's no need to separate them! The Fluff: You'll need a better description for Ethnicity than 'Multiracial'. While being of many different lineages would certainly keep them from looking like a specific ethnic group, I would suggest a short listing of what her family tree is like. Maybe her father and mother have very different kinds of names, or something. Looking older than she is: that's a thing I do with Heraldo, actually >.>, so hypocritical to bring it up, but how do you want to bring it into play? I had it tie into his backstory with him sliding under child labor laws due to his appearance leading to him being granted his powers. Who was the angelic figure? Was it herself? An actual angel? A symbol of her undeveloped precognition? Just putting a spoiler tag at the bottom explaining what the apparition was would be good. In-character it's fine if we don't know, but out of character this needs to be clear.

GM There was a short silence before a faint ringing sounded above Jubatus, followed by the unsteady sound of Constance's voice A faint thrumming seemed to be taking on a steady rhythm, which seemed to be the sound of Constance keeping herself steady somehow. As they went back to the stages, the two quickly heard about the battle that had happened, about the weird water man and the hatted magician and the archer. Most of the passing Freedonians were quite calm about the event, though some were nervous that this heralded another attack.

Hearing the cry, the King of Suits spun around, seeing his friend with a cry of joy, running like a gazelle to the shelter of the tree, where he took the aged painter's hand and shook it vigorously before embracing him with a sudden movement "Excellent work, Rene, excellent!" he released the old man and glanced at the brutal combat going on just beyond, the thuds, crashes and howls ringing out strangely muted in the air. Uncertainly he answered the question "Parsinkle laid a trap. I was to draw the attention of the Redcaps who captured these people away from his assault on the opposite side of where he placed his flaming beacon, then he would strike them unawares. I saw no reason to take half measures, and decided to burn their tents, which were placed far enough away from the cage to prevent the prisoners from being harmed. I don't know what's going to happen now, though the Prince said these Fey were rebels and would be punished. So, I guess that means they'll be out to the sword. Possibly in view of his other subjects, do you think? From what I heard them say it seems that this was the beginning of a wider rebellion among the Redcaps against the elfin lords, but I have precious little notion what that means in this world" he confessed. Looking anxiously back to his friend he asked "What do you make of this, Rene?"

So Quinn was alright with the idea, so let's shake this out. What I was thinking of: Lantern Hill, bad magic that Lantern Jack can't deal with alone, and the two Irregulars most knowledgeable in magic go to check it out and deal with it.

'Wait. So, "Maiden" to her means...' Subtio's chipper smile melted into a look of pure, red-faced mortification despite Cerys' hint that she wasn't really chastising him, quickly followed by a hurried and apologetic "I..uh, yeah. Sorry 'bout that, didn't know it..uhm..." to Cerys before he turned back to the Supervisor, saying "I won't fail you, sir. I'll land you that Afanc!" he took off his socks and shoes and stepped up to his ankles in the cold water, scanning the dark, undulating mass for a possible sign of his quarry, turning back to the Order agents to say "Just tell me when to go, and I'll go get your lake monster." 'Get ready to transform...'

Alright, so what restrictions, focuses would you guys want to do for this? What I have in mind at the moment involves golems, crime, and lots of film-Noir things. Your thoughts?

The Herald of the Blue Dame had been doing much better at getting through the swamp, keeping his feet dry(somehow), evading the bites and intrusions of the insects that swarmed and crawled around the pair of heroes, swatting them off as quickly as he could detect them. Due to this, he didn't pay much attention to what he was getting off of himself, just that he could smack it and throw it away quickly enough. This and the buzzing, chittering and clicking of their insect bodies, the gaseous bubbling and the distant cries of various animals distracted him fully from the small problems like if they were being tracked by someone through the trees and stagnant water. "I have no idea, Ms. Stone. Dinosaur bugs and what they can or can't do is a pretty rare course at Claremont. " he said shortly, swiping at a few hornet-like things that were getting perilously close to his head, nodding as Agnes said she needed a break, leaning against the same rock she sat on. He was instantly concerned when she showed him her arm, and was looking in earnest for the supposed infection when she whispered the news to him that they were being followed, almost whipping his head in the direction that she pointed before catching on to her plan, and pretending to look down her arm at the infection with a serious look on his youthful face. In an equally quiet voice he whispered, hoping it wasn't rude to not look at her while talking like this "What should we do? Set an ambush? I pretend to go for something, then circle around and catch them by surprise?" louder he said "Aw man, that looks pretty bad! You think you can press on, dear? I cant get something cooked up to help with that"

Wiping his lightly stained lips with an impeccable napkin, Marceau bowed slightly to Agnes with a mock-roguish wink "A job that you perform with splendor, mademoiselle. But your Light will surely bring forth many things we otherwise would miss." Setting the napkin down he took out his small book, flipping through it with deft gloved fingers as he answered her question "Well, to sum up, we know that: this meta-virus was an artificial creation, it's maker, Mr. McBride, was motivated by a desire to impress the faculty of the University, it was stolen by some person or persons unknown at present a short time ago, spread via public transit, and clues for whoever it was may yet be found where this monstrous sickness was brewed. Fingerprints, possibly some slight DNA evidence, and hopefully a passing glimpse from the institute's security cameras are what I hope we can get there, but the odds are slim" the King of Suits admitted with an apologetic shrug to the patriotic paragon and a sip of water.

'Does a lot of hiding, huh? That'd explain why she's so quiet when she talks at least' Free running wasn't something the stocky teen had much interest in, mainly because he had usually been busy with other things, and hadn't learned about the whole parkour thing until Serge had explained it to him. Besides, he could fly! "That would probably be a good way to learn the ins and outs of Freedom City, yeah," he agreed "maps don't give you the best idea of what the city is like besides street layouts and stuff, you need to actually explore the place to know what it's like." He nodded slightly at John's mention of their exercise routine, adding to it "Same here, early mornings, noons and a few afternoons. I find the place real useful, I'd say at least give it a try" he added with a cheerful smile to the Cerys, stepping away from the door and letting it swing shut behind the quartet "Where to next?" he asked, scanning the campus with a careful eye for the next stop on their odyssey "I've still got a bit of time until next class, you want to check out the Greenhouse some of the other kids built a little while ago? It's pretty grand and amazing." he stated with utter solemnity.

Subito had begun to nod slightly when Cerys pointed out how it might raise a few Avian eyebrows "Huh. Yeah it's probably for the be-WHOA, what the hecK?! Who's there?" he started with a violent jolt when the unfamiliar voice rang out nearby in the crowded space, staring at Blodeuwedd in confusion for a second before whirling around to see where the new voice was coming from, quickly realizing that it was from the radio with no little chagrin. The appearance of the.."Wait, an electric hologram? Huh?" he wondered aloud, looking suspiciously at the old-timey dressed woman, his dark eyes narrowed slightly. She clearly wasn't an Avian, and her presence and name struck him as deeply bizarre...'Wait a sec, why would Avians have airships? Wouldn't they just fly.. Constructing sky palaces is best done with machines, I think.' For all that he nodded to this Madam Vapeur, saying politely "Hello Ma'am, I'm Subito, this lady's assistant." he gestured to Cerys with a slight flourish of his broad hand "Y'seem to know Lord Steam already, so I'll stand over here and let you guys sort this out" with another nod he backpedaled over to his schoolmate, muttering to her "What d'you think? I don't like her."

GM The roar of applause that had begun to die down as the band had completed their placeholder song had only just begun to die down when Riff flew back to the stage, which raised several enthusiastic cheers from the audience, congratulations on his victory, and a few anxious shouts asking if it had been the Green Man or the Maestro again, the attack in 2010 still fresh in many concert-goers minds. Some of the people that had seen the fight between Blue Jay, Pawn and Riff had followed the sonic-wielder back to his stage, happy to tell the story of the quick defeat of the watery man and the mysterious archer who had vanished into the forest, some of the more experienced fight-seers speculating that she lived on the peninsula, or had her base there. As the electronic boom of the connection to instrument and amp resounded over the swelling crowd, an almost palpable sense of anticipation began to hang in the air as the jostling, sweating people stood in the partial shade of tents and hats, watching the stage. Some of the rowdier teens close to the front were eagerly chanting the bands' name, waiting for the next amplified chord that would begin the final song.

GM A slight raise of the left eyebrow was the only change that came over Medraut's face as he observed the junior agent and her friend. Removing the cigar from between his teeth he gestured at the far(north-western) side of the Llyn with it. In a bland one he explained <"if I and the other practitioners here cannot tweak the nose of the Otherworlder spell as we usually do">(he winked discreetly at Blodeuwedd) <"then we will have a small team of magicians on the other shore assist us, activating the spell and rousing the Afanc. If the deer get caught before they can create the needed time window, we have four other different distractions to keep the rangers occupied, none of which will pose the least danger to them or anyone else. We have several other cages prepared if this one doesn't hold, and if Subito can't get it to shore..."> he spread his hands with a shrug <"I am afraid that is the weak link in our plan. We were merely going to draw it here with some electric pulses, a proven attractor for them, not go diving into the lake, and thus we weren't considering much in the way of defence, let alone the archaic ones involving maidens. If you would like to volunteer for that post agent Blodeuwedd,"> he added with a dry smile <"I would give you full marks for creativity, and keep that in mind for later missions.">

The only experience Subito had had with planning to catch mystical creatures were childhood fantasies about slaying fierce dragons, the lack in tactical insight made up by his eager defiance of all common sense. So he listened with great interest as the Supervisor outlined the plan Cerys' family had drawn up for catching the lake monster, watching the small boats bobbing up and down on the body of water. He took casual glances every now and then at the faces of the other Family members, curious to see what they thought of the plan, and thus caught sight of Cerys's face reddening after she mentioned something called the 'maiden defence'. He frowned slightly and turned back to the water, that reaction triggering a new influx of doubts about what the Order was like. To her he said jocularly "Don't worry Cerys, I bet you'd be a great maiden!" 'If she gets all shy like that just after makin' a suggestion, does that mean they don't like it when people do much in the way of questioning the leadership? I need to try and think this through... That is not what I would have thought of focusing on, but not a bad idea Subito. Practice of contemplation can only be good Hey..if I asked her out, do you think she'd say "Yes"? ...Herald. behave yourself. She's an agent on a very important mission, and right now so are you. If you wish, go ahead and ask her out after this, but if she says no then don't pester her' He started suddenly as he remembered that Medraut had asked if he had any questions, flashing a brilliant smile at the Supervisor he answered "I don't have any, sir, though I agree with Ce-I mean, Blodeu; I'm interested in hearin' what you plan to do if some part of this setup this doesn't work out"

'More airships?! This is the best week I've ever had! Wait..I forgot my camera. Blagh!' There wasn't much that Subito could do in this kind of situation. His ignorance about Avians besides the obvious, he didn't have much in the way of advice for dealing with airships or ways they could broach the subject of the statuettes, and the issue of the Avian that had tried to take back one of the small things would have to be delicately brought up indeed. So he went with what he could do. He turned on his heel to dash over the short distance to Blodeuwedd. "Hey, Blodeu, what do you bet those guys would like to see us arrive with a flying escort?" he asked eagerly, his right hand placed over his shirt, ready to transform into the brilliant EL Heraldo and provide a unique accompaniment to the Earth Victoriana vessel. "If they try and shoot at us for some reason, I could also just catch their shots before they ever hit the ship!" he added excitedly. Here was something he could at least kind of be useful and do. The only other option was inaction, and that was almost intolerable to him.

GM The wave of force knocked most of the OVERTHROW agents off of their feet before the main power behind it even reached them, knocking the entire band of sentries unconscious and collapsed on the nearest flat surface. The various guns, rocket launchers and ammo bags falling with them, one sniper rifle coming perilously close to misfiring directly into the assembled law enforcers gathered just beyond the pristine Federal Building. The negotiators blinked in mild surprise, nodded to Gabriel and headed back towards the police lines, where the now somewhat less tense officers of both the FCPD and AEGIS watched with guarded relief and interest. Omen was soon out of sight from the citizens of Freedom City, though the police sirens on the cruisers that raced towards the dock were no less blaring. With a faint rumble his phone rang, with ATHENA's call sign, this time with the message 'Well done. Please return the records to Freedom Medical Center where they can be kept for reference. We will meet you there.'

Hearing the Redcaps stumble after him into the rolling smoke, the King of Suits managed a shaky smile. Things were not going nearly as well as he had hoped, but so far the pair had been doing better than he had thought they would. Now for the finish. Turning sharply he dashed out of the fog, tossing an explosive card after himself as he ran, hearing it detonate in the middle of the group of blundering Fey with a shockwave carrying enough force to nearly knock him off his feet as he ran. The dwarves had been thrown for several yards, their clothes smoking gently and the wearers quite insensible. "Alright, now to make my escape," he said with a little more cheer, running full-tilt towards the edge of the clearing as Parsinkle and his soldiers mopped up the very confused and unprepared Redcaps with whoops of evil glee and clashes of arms. He raced past the cage and saw to his relief that Rene and the others were nowhere in sight, at last slowing to a halt a full ten metres from the edge of the camp, panting slightly from the sudden bursts of effort.

"Well..it isn't the least frightening thing I have ever beheld" the King of Suits declared mildly "That looks bound to scare at least some of the more impressionable Crusaders, I say "Go to" Tenebrous. Work your magic." Standing up from his crouch near the lip of the roof edge he pushed his cape back from his shoulders as he surveyed the alley below, eyes scanning it for the best places to get tripwires in place. Nodding to himself he turned to Crow "I'll get started at once, get a few webs stretched at ankle height and such. Maybe even a few gas grenades..." he ruminated to himself, leaping off the roof and soaring gracefully down, slowed by grapple line he fired after himself just before he cleared the lip. He waved cheerfully to the other two as he fell before landing in a roll, leaping up and setting about the task he was set. "Nobody gets past here" he muttered grimly, testing two lines with a sharp jerk.

DC20 Reflex saves: one of the snipers and two of the rocket-launchers make it. Toughness saves: None of them make it.

Heraldo had not been actually expecting his challenge to get anything from the Snake's minions, and stared at the pilot for a few seconds as he processed this new information. 'Well..alright! We know something now!' He turned to listen to what Glow when she approached him Glow, I don't think there's anyone in this building who isn't fed up with that guy by now" he said with a grin, which became a slightly more serious smile as he nodded at the rest of her plan "That makes a lot of sense, and I agree. We can't let him get away after all this!" At her suggestion that they 'phone home' to Claremont and let the faculty know about, he almost beamed. "Agreed there too, if we get word out about this, we can make sure he gets caught even in the unlikely case that we fail! I'll check and make sure that cook is doing what he should, you call the school. Sound good?" he asked, fiddling idly with the Banner on his back.

"Gallic is indeed the language of the Gauls, or the French as they are known now. They made good axes. Got my skin broken many times by them" Wave-Eye said as he glanced around the new room, getting his bearings after the trip. It had been a long time since he had traveled to another world(mostly visits to the Tlalocan), and the feeling was for him much more pronounced than for Ironclad or Victory, his legs slightly shaky as he walked around the room with heavy steps on his clawed feet. Turning to General Lapidern he gurgled "So, General, where are these wretched creatures that need obliteration?"
