GM With her goggles on, Blodeuwedd saw a smooth blue circle composed of patterned runes around a neat hole in the sidewalk. The portal was, in fact, right in front of their feet. Red Stripe glided down before the pair, whistled once and flapped her wings at the round circle on the pavement only a few inches from them, where they certainly would have fallen in if she hadn't stopped. The hawk cocked her head to one side, waiting for further instructions and looking quite pleased with herself. A grey car passed by with a muffled roar of its tires on the asphalt, and a news helicopter soared high above the city, with the bustling downtown clearly visible from the hill.

GM Her attack took Pawn completely off-guard, as he apparently had been assuming that she would stand still and shoot at him from where she stood, and not go bouncing off of the streetlamp and fire from an entirely different angle. The arrows slashed across his body, cutting him well but not deeply. Muttering under his breath, he stumbled backwards, glaring at the archer. The reddish water flowed into him through the wounds, visibly rippling his skin as it disseminated through his body. Seizing his chance when her bow didn't have any nocked arrows, he lashed out with one of his arms that distended horribly as it sailed through the air, whipping over her head and slamming into the ground. "I was too slow" was all Pawn said "But you are not the best I have ever seen." There was a lengthy pause as Constance absorbed this information, at last saying firmly

Subito looked briefly surprised before an expression of deep chagrin came over his face "That's real neat. I bet you come up against this a lot, but I keep thinkin' that everyone who does mystic stuff always uses magical ways of doing things all the time, like they never use phones and stuff. It's pretty silly" he added sheepishly. He was heartened that Blodeuwedd had decided to tell him so much about who she worked for and what they did, and from what he had seen on campus she had gotten several friends already, which to him was almost a prerequisite for happiness of any kind. "I should introduce you to a friend of mine, Serge. I bet you two would get along great! You've seen him a few times, he's blond and super-tall and loves science." Even when not bearing the mantle openly, Subito's powerful ears allowed him to understand what she said perfectly "Well, Red Stripe's got a huge advantage over me! He doesn't wanna ask the cool girl about her mysterious and badass job, so he can't ask any silly questions!" he protested jokingly, watching the small hawk idly. He glanced around once they were walking down the sidewalk "So, is there an invisible door around here or what?"

"I do not know what a slot machine is. I take it it involves gambling somehow, which fits what you were saying well enough" Wave-Eye said, still speaking loudly on the presumption that Gabriel needed the extra volume to make out his words. "Communication with a god, trying to speak to them before being called upon...that still is wholly alien to me. Most of the High Ones stood for their order above anything else. Approaching them out of turn as anything but a subservient was met with high penalties. I guided enough young souls to the Tlalocan to know that much. " his huge eyes swung up to to the sonic champion of the holy word "Such power as you have certainly sounds like it would change someone. Has it?" His tireless legs pounded on, sending him over a tiled roof onto a flatter one with a scrape of nails on concrete.
-
GM The men and women behind their spokesman visibly relaxed, their rifle-barrels lowering and their forefingers dropping away from the triggers. The man Gabriel had addressed seemed quite comforted and taken with his short speech, nodding enthusiastically and saying eagerly "Of course! Certainly!" he gestured over to one of his escort, who brought over a couple small folding chairs and set them up with great speed "I am glad to meet such a reasonable man here, the negotiators sent before were solely concerned with the safety if the collaborators. Your humanitarianism gets this off to an excellent start!" gesturing to the folding chairs and saying "Please sit" before doing so himself, he began at once "So, what do you propose?" One of the negotiators murmured to Gabriel "If I may, keep him focused on the well-being of himself and the other agents. We can catch them when they leave, but they need to think they'll be safe first"

Wave-Eye lives in the bay, and would love a chance to meet a Farsider!

Subito looked blankly at her for a few seconds before the penny dropped, at which point he blushed furiously and looked down at the ground for several seconds "Uh...yeah, yeah that would be a bad idea" he agreed hastily 'Oh come on, how does this keep happening?' 'I cannot imagine Mr. Prudish', getting to his feet when Blodeuwedd rose. He gave a long, low whistle at her explanation for the hawk and its peculiar powers, giving the bird an admiring look. "I'll keep that in mind. No face-fulls of talons for me! Your family use these birds a lot? They seem pretty handy messengers. Also..you guys have lake monsters? What are they like?" Red Strip squawked, tossed back the last of the foot it had been tearing at, and flew on before them, alighting on the academy wall and turning around to watch the pair with its bright beady eyes. Subito walked along beside Cerys as they passed the imposing gates "'Little Red Strip'? You've got a boundless imagination, Blodeu" he said with a friendly laugh.

"The truth points to itself." -Some Vorlon.

Okay, that wins Mr. Unfriendly over to Friendly.

Without his mother's strict scissors around to keep it in check, his hair had grown much longer, requiring him to loosen the strap of his baseball cap, emblazoned with the symbol of the Freedom City Heroes. He had left a similar note to Serge, feeling a stab of guilt that he hadn't thought to invite him along, though the Blue Dame had told him 'He was not invited along, there may be restrictions in place against more than one going with her'. Adjusting his well-filled backpack(having learned his lesson from the last time he had gone on a mission with Cerys. He whistled a merry tune to himself, walking into the Claremont quad eyes peeled for Blodeuwedd. Catching sight of her under the tree he charged up, calling out "Hey there, Blodeu!" sliding to a halt on the grass and dropping down onto his knees beside her he looked at the Red Book with interest "Whatcha readin'? Are we waiting for our ride to show up?" a bit of fur dropped from a branch above them, and he saw the hawk above him gnawing on a dead squirrel "Cool bird." He looked back at Blodeuwedd, eyes bright with curiosity.
-
The bird nodded once, a gleam of understanding in its eyes. It whistled again. At the moment the phone rang, Subito was in his dorm room, busy reading a massive book on the political history of nations in the Caribbean, eyes-deep in the lengthy struggles of Haiti to gain its independence. Frowning as he turned the page he muttered "Huh, I had no idea it was that ba-whargle!" the rest of the sentence lost to time as the phone on the wall rang imperiously, and he nearly dropped the book. Mastering himself he tossed the weighty tome onto the bed as he leaped off it, grabbing the phone off the hook and saying(a little impatiently) "Hello? Subito here." the voice on the other end lit up his face "I'm doin' super-good! How about you?" 'Hey, this isn't gonna be another of those missions, is it?' 'We must lend our aid when called for, Subito. This time is, of course, a trifle more literal than most' Nodding at that he answered "You bet I'm in, Blodeu! Just tell me where we meet and what to bring..."

"An excellent idea, Mr. Sallhid" Tossing the ram gauntlet back onto their space on his belt with a clack of metal on metal, the King of Suits bowed politely to the others, calmly producing handcuffs from a loop on his belt that he began to industriously bind the hands of the Crusaders with. To Tenebrous he said conversationally "A pleasure to meet you, Madame Lillian. I am the King of Suits, a local protector of this area. I'll call you Tenebrous if you have no objection" he smiled at her warmly, his earlier fury having melted away entirely. "I prefer not to use fellow crime-fighter's real names in this line of work. It carries rather profound risks to us, after all. You, young man" he called over cheerily, his blue eyes switching to Morgan "what do you call yourself? Something that strikes terror into the hearts of criminals, I presume?" With a click the last of the gang members was 'cuffed, and he dragged the last unfortunate over to the other two heroes. "Now then, I have no idea how we all got here at the same time, but I have never questioned Heaven too closely. I will have to find out what these..men were planning," he glanced grimly at the cowering gangster in his iron grip "and if any other such attacks are in the cards. If either of you wish to help, I would be honored"

Hello Thaumonuclear! Welcome to the site! One quick thing: you have 3PP listed in Feats, but only 2PP of Feats there. It's listed alright in totals, though. Besides that I really don't have much else to add: it's a very neat spin on a classic idea, and looks fun to play to boot!

GM With great alacrity the bird got to its feet. Using its wings to steady itself on its short journey over to Blodeuwedd. An explosion of feathers a breath of air and it was perched ungainly on her shoulder, extending the leg holding the ring in which the small scroll was tucked. Getting it out was supremely easy, and the message(in her native Welsh) read: 'Agent Blodeuwedd, AKA 'Cerys Pefr'. Your presence and assistance is requested at once. The Afanc of Llyn Brenig has started to become restless, and we believe that spirits of the Otherworld are to blame. If you can, bring one other, preferably one that can supply a little brawn. The passageway will be set in the sidewalk outside the Academy from 12.00 to 1.20 PM.- The Order. PS: the Adar Llwch Gwin bearing this will guide you to the spot when asked.' The hawk gave a sharp whistle, staring up at the girl with cold, bright eyes.

GM The now-vacant doorway revealed a large and very dark chemist's lab. A small clear container of liquid was over a Bunsen burner, bubbling over with a viscous green fluid, the excited molecules popping so enthusiastically that they had sounded like a much larger amount of liquid. It contained several strange coffin-shaped containers stacked near a corrugated metal door on a track, each marked with a Greek letter starting from 'Phi' and endinging in 'Sigma'. At the desk set against the wall on the right, face lit a faint blue by the glowing monitor before him, sat the short and lean figure of Dr. Green, blue eyes tracing the mutations of a simulated strand of DNA. At his side were two silent human-like monsters, one fading in and out of view, the other with a metallic sheen to their skin. The doctor glanced over at the pair as the shattered door and heavy electrical trap that had been bolted to it flew in pieces across the room, clattering noisily along the floor and through more than a few canisters of the green liquid. "Welcome" he said absently, eyes flicking back to the rotating mock-up of DNA "You seem in much better form than I thought. I should have taken greater pains to exploit your strengths."

GM The small group of Crusaders that had remained standing after the flaring scourge of entropy had descended upon them and had their weapons knocked clean out of their hands quickly raised them heedless of the thin trickles of blood running down their arms from small nicks. "W' surrender!" one of them shouted, bald and terrified in the cold light of the streetlamp "Don't kill us, please!" "I don't think they deserve it, sirs and madam" Farridah declared, closing the door behind him that he had only gotten halfway open in the short battle "but they did only threaten me. I will call the police, let them know they need to send some people to clean up the filth in front of my store" with that he walked inside, slamming it shut behind himself as he rang the local station.

GM Omen's answer was prompt: 'Records of patients cured of the mutagen that caused the chaotic Hotzone incident were stolen by those four.' As he swung in front of the quartet, landing on the ramp with a ringing clang, they all instantly reached for something hidden under their coats, eying him warily. One of them asked crisply "Who are you? What do you want with us?" seeing the eye on his collar they stepped slowly backwards, their spokeswoman adding nervously "Are..are you Foreshadow?" "A teleporter?" Maddicks' dour face seemed to lighten almost imperceptibly "That's a weight off my mind, uh.." one of the nearby officers apparently listening intently to radio chatter coughed into her hand and glanced meaningfully at him "..Young Britannia." he concluded resignedly "Yes, that would work excellently: Mr. Gabriel gets their attention, Mr. Asad draws a few rockets and sniper rounds so Ms. Young Britannia can maker her jump with Ms. Silver Spider and joins in the bullet-drawing. We'll keep in mind your suggestion about trapping the ventilation shaft Silver Spider" he sighed "and as soon as we find a way to get young supers stop using it to get to his office quicker, we'll implement it." He drew up to his full height, shaking the hands of the heroes firmly, and calling on his radio got news of the negotiation team's ETA, relaying it to the others present. That done, he led them through the barricades to the front line of the police force. There was still much yet to do.... Soon afterwards The negotiation team was thrilled to have a superhuman like Gabriel along, as he definitely made the group of four besuited men carrying briefcases look more appealing to talk to. Under the bright sun, they marched towards the steps of City Hall. When they had gotten ten feet into the plaza, a warning shot rang out from the roof, driving up a small cloud of dust in front of them. Ten OVERTHROW agents including the one who had issued the demands, exited the Federal Building, and walked up to the small group. Looking at them suspiciously their spokesman asked "Well? Have you come to comply with our requests? They aren't too steep, are they?" another cold smile.

None of them can make that(don't worry, this is the only time things will be so easy), so They lose their weapons. They surrender. Fight over!
-
None of them can make that. All fall down.

Harlan Schultz is the director of the FBI situated in Freedom City. He rose to that position after years of steady advancement through the Bureau, preceded by several years of combat service in the Army where he served with no notable blemishes or shining marks on his record. He is as cagey about the actions of the Bureau in Freedom City as might be expected, but has managed to secure several arrests of villains and the break-up of dozens of cults and conspiracy groups throughout his years Director. Captain William "Bulldog" Maddicks came to the FCPD from the U.S. Marine Corps and the NYCPD's SWAT division, where his experience in weapons-handling and small-team tactics made him an exemplary officer. Soon commanding his own team of SWAT officers, he applied for the position of Captain of Superhuman Tactics & Regulation the day he learned of the position's existence, and after a brief interview Commissioner Kane formally instated him into the position. He gets along well with her, and apparently almost nobody else, with a reputation for being short and confrontational with the city's superheroes. Despite that, he is all business, and has a flawless record and reputation, pioneering many new ways for normal humans to battle supers and win.
