Alrighty then. DC32 TOU save: 28! A Bruise! And I will do the rest of this stuff on the morrow, sorry for slacking off on this, Roo. EDIT: Okay, so now it will try and get to the fissure room so it can use its larger size to its advantage, moving All-Out 60ft. down the hallway towards an intersection leading to the now unsealed doors. Round 3. Silhouette: Unharmed, 5HP Mess. of Apep: Bruise(x1), GM

The stocky teen glared hotly at Captain Yates, a soup of choice words racing through his head as he tried to think of something to say that would destroy the man's argument and not reveal that he was super-powered by the spirit of a country that technically didn't exist in its proper form yet. Finding none that suited his needs, he went with a mutter of "Well, not everyone's fists are..." the rest of what he was going to say was cut off when he saw the man lying on the infirmary bed, and actually heard what he was saying. His jaw tautened at the mention of 'fangs'. Subito's eyes flickered over to Agnes in surprise when she claimed they were from 'the War Office'. The roles she was suggesting they play would never have occurred to him. We're doing way better than if I had tried to take the lead he admitted to himself More proof we need to work on your leadership skills, Subito ...Can't argue there, O Dame he thought wryly. Aloud he said more cheerfully "A good point, Agnes! All you need to do, Commander is send us out t'find these monsters, and we can deal with 'em without you needing to worry about any more harm coming to your soldiers!" he matched Agnes' smile, an odd figure in the blue fatigues "We've got some experience with fighting things like them, you see" he added casually.

Yikes! I'm glad to hear you're more-or-less well TheAbsudist, but...damn, that's scary all the same. I hope you're doing alright otherwise!

"Skull Face! How dare you try this?!" Wave-Eye growled furiously, hurling himself at the box from which the voice of his tormentor emanated. "What was this all for? How long did you think you could last with this? Why would you help bring those wretched weapons of entropy into the hands of these humans?! Your OWN people?" he snatched the box neatly out from Dr. Chambers' arms as he spoke, shoved brusquely past her with a vicious glare, and began to race down the hallway towards where he felt the splashings of water into the ship, snarling his conclusion "You cannot imagine how much I do not care! You are getting off this ship if I have to throw myself into the great abyss to do it!", his heavy feet slapping and sloshing through the invading Atlantic.

There was a pregnant silence as the King of Suits glowered down at Vincent for over a minute, slowly rolling the new information the graduate student had given around his head. At length he relaxed, shook his head and spoke "Your friend tried to get involved with a group called the 'Cult of the Dripping Pox', their original beliefs revolved around the idea that viruses are the true masters of the planet, and that infections from as many viruses as possible is a worthy goal. They've disbanded, as far as I can tell, but Tory seemed to take them a little more seriously than was wise. I believe he is responsible for this" he shrugged, his cape flaring a little at his arm movement "It seems this was committed for even worse reasons than I thought it was" he said, largely to himself, staring wearily into space before abruptly glancing sharply back at Vincent, saying shortly "I will inform the captain what you told me, with any luck this will be resolved quickly, and with minimal blame to yourself. I would advise, however," he added as he rapped on the door to alert the guard and drop the shield "that the next time you need to make a splash, go with something less likely to cause a mass panic" as the door opened, he bowed his head slightly to Vince, stepped quickly through the door, and glanced irritably at the guard as the portal slammed just short of his cape again, muttering "Such manners..." as he set out rapidly to find Stormbreaker. Seeming to appear out of thin air beside the Captain, Marceau began at once "The boy is responsible for the illness existing, but apparently not for its assault on the city. As well, he says the virus he made will break down within forty-eight hours before breaking apart into its component molecules. Of course it is entirely possible it has been modified somehow, prolonging its life" he added, watching the city pass by beneath them over the rail of the ship.

GM The cultist leader had gotten five feet before the altar erupted into a pillar of oily darkness that sent flailing limbs smashing around the room, sending rains of splintered wood through the air as the benches were obliterated. After a few seconds the whirling inchoate mass solidified into the form of a massive snake's head, the same one that Silhouette had just seen descend impossibly into the depths of the altar. The flattened black slab of granite fell to pieces as the ambassador of Apep slid majestically out of it, sleek tongue flickering in and out of its invisible mouth while vague reflective circles on its head swiveled back and forth, taking in the sight before it. From a depth like the chasms of the ocean it spoke, words falling from its mouth and echoing like slabs of lead, forming themselves into shapes comprehensible to the minds of the nearby humans: "No mortal escapes the coils of Apep. As surely as He shall embrace the Barque of the Sun in the infinite night, so shall all who are in this snake-hewn temple shall die" It turned towards Andrews, who was frozen with terror and shaking in his magnificent leather shoes, and began to advance across the floor towards the priest, its length finally exiting the shadow portal with a soft rustle of unnatural scales. Gradually rising to its full height, it opened its jaws to reveal a flat emptiness, the voice saying cooly "Behold, Apostate, the door to your Judgement stands open" Its massive obsidian bulk was less than ten feet from the man. From the vent above, shouts of panic and thuds sounded out as the other cultists began to desperately flee the Messenger of Apep.

I had no idea about that, thank you very much. Seeing as it has no reason or way to know that, no change to its action.
-
That works! They are now fixed to break after one discharge.

Moving over to Dr. Chambers and trying for a Grapple move to take the box out of her hands. Attack roll: 12, rerolling that(0HP) 26! Grapple roll: 39! Surging to get a new Move Action and move towards one of the portholes.
-
He(well, it really) is most assuredly not watertight. For the Messenger's next action, he'll...he doesn't have an attack that can actually harm Sil when she's flat, does he? Have a HP!(Silhouette: 5HP) He gets a rank 10 Blast with two ranks in the Affects Insubstantial feat. I'm an endless barrel of professionalism and preparedness! Okay, its meal just slipped out of his grasp, so it will now head off into the tunnels to try and catch the cultists before they escape, moving 20 of its 40ft. into the hallway while it fires off a blast of shadows from its corporeal form. Attack roll: 20, nope! Order: Silhouette: Unharmed, 5HP Messenger of Apep: Unharmed, GM Sil's up.
-
Notice roll: 21! he is so flat-footed. DC29 TOU save: 33! Yowch. Okay, He will attempt to Grapple Silhouette. Attack roll: 24! A hit. Grapple roll: 44! Holy cow.

What? Those brats are back again? I thought they were beaten into the ground in the last Great Surface War Wave-Eye thought in disbelief as he stared at the reels Ironclad was projecting Amazing. They already have something that shows images from the past. Time well spent! he thought sourly, turning his cumbersome head back to the General. Speaking much more respectfully he said "None on this world who march under that banner have the power and arms to attack another world, let alone such a one as I deem yours to be. I know no reason those soldiers would attack you, save what the man bound in metal suggests: conquest" he waved a spined claw towards the imposing cyborg. He glanced over at Silver Spider, surprised at her almost immediate offer to help, then shrugged and arranged his conch more comfortably, and tapped one of his heavy armor's pauldrons to fit it more closely to his shoulder before saying wearily "If your people need help fighting these 'Nazis' off of your world, I offer my aid. I am not as strong as I once was" he admitted dourly "but I can still do a few things that might be useful." He fell silent, watching the General and the others with interest from his massive eyes.

An excellent point. To be honest I was a little busy with another thing at the same time, so I didn't quite think that bit through But yeah, it does at least need SOME skills. Editing some in.

Messenger Initiative: 4. Whelp.

The stocky teen gave a sigh of relief and smiled at the other two "Thanks a lot guys. I know I wouldn't be as comfortable in a situation like this" he rubbed the back of his curly head as he considered how to bring it up, looking chagrined at Serge's guess. He knew his sister hadn't been as peace-keeping as he was, and had started to suffer a backlash because of it. "Nah, I haven't gotten into any fights with any of the others at school, luckily" he took a deep breath and let it out slowly "I'll tell ya when supper's over, it's about Janis" he admitted sheepishly, looking hopefully at the door.

GM Smiling elegantly at the report, prince Parsinkle nodded slowly. "I will do as you suggest, human. These..'renegades' must be swiftly dealt with, if my throne is to remain secure. Await the flare of a green brand on yonder hill" he pointed back towards the hillside where he and the two adventurers had parted ways "I will attack in force from the opposite side, while you attempt to distract them from my forces with your..talents" the Fey royal's smile quirked at the edges as he departed as suddenly as he had arrived. Soon after, when the sun was beginning to set, the cage of prisoners was lit up with a flare of green fire! The prisoners were jerked from their slow descent into sleep, many jumping to their feet and trying to see beyond the walls of the cage. They shouted to their captors as the Redcaps rushed and snarled past them, ignoring the pleas and questions. Janice had been busily repairing the bandages over a long gash on another woman's back. Nearly dropping the cloth at the flare, she cursed under her breath "Great, now we have a battle on our hands!" she glanced at Rene "Anything we can do to help your mystic #*%$?" she asked grimly "Because I can't think what else we c-" the roaring squeals of the war boars passing by drowned out the last of her sentence. "Be ready, brothers! The prince approaches! We must meet him with all our strength!" came the call of the Redcap who seemed to be their leader, raising a blood-stained weapon "we shall not lose our freedom so soon after we gain it!" a chorus of shouts from the others, cries raised in throaty raucous voices all around the camp, seemed to agree. Marceau was called over from his post by the tree to the apparent place where Parsinkle was about to attack from, with a black-bearded Redcap ordering him "Get us some brands, brother! Get us a fire going!"

No, that's next round. I'll use a different speech, too!

Starting backwards at the sudden appearance of the prince, Marceau/Hachetteeth blinkned in surprise, glanced around to see if anyone was watching, and answered softly "We have found that the renegades are..I would say they number at least a few dozen. I haven't been able to count them yet, there was very little time" he added by way of explanation. Peering into the forest edge as if he wasn't currently talking to the sworn enemy of the rambling monsters in the camp, he went on softly "They have the humans in that cage there," he gestured with his left hand almost imperceptibly "but they don't seem to even be guarding it. It appears they have their troops strongest around the perimeter" Glancing back at the weird camp, at the cages of boars and stands of heavy pole-arms he frowned and said "As for when you should plan the attack..I think it ought to be done as soon as you can. I could fight most of them with a good chance of winning, but not all at once" he looked back at the red Prince hopefully "With your troops and my friend's magic, we can deal with these Redcaps and rescue the prisoners"

Subito had been watching with no little admiration as Lockwood began to depart, and started at the bump. Listening to Cerys' directions in increasing excitement, he nodded vigorously when she concluded, saying eagerly "With right good will! Thank you, m'lady!" taking her right hand he pressed it briefly to his lips, added "I'll get some stuff together too, I won't need much!" and hurried off after Lord Steam. Catching up to him at the door he tapped the man on the shoulder "Excuse me sir!" he began "Blodeuwedd wants me to go with you, just in case our mutual benefactor has something extra planned" he explained with a merry grin "if that's alright with you" he added quickly. Catching sight of Bessie, his eyes went wide as saucers. "That's..is that..?" he breathed in awe.
-
A pool as well as access to the open waters would be awesome.
-
"Surge, cool down dude" Subito told his friend with a grin "Glad to hear that anthology thing is going ahead, Vicky, andthat both got here alright, and sorry for.." he glanced at the closed door "...uh...this" he finished, gesturing vaguely ahead of himself. Leaning against the wall next to the galring window he fidgeted nervously with his clothes as he went on "Usually this ain't how it goes, most of the time they're super-casual about get togethers like this, but I guess they wanted t'do somethin' special, or something? I dunno" he began to shake his head before stopping, tilting it to one side and listening to something with a look of relief "They'll be done in a few minutes, though. I can hear 'em. Mom's getting the good cups out" a sudden look of near-panic came over his face "Oh, mia Padre, I hope Galanta remembers to be gentle with those." Shoving himself away from the wall he paced back and forth a few times, then turning quickly to Victoria and Serge. "So..how have your school years been going? Mine's been weird, fun, and full of snakey people. Also, I wanna ask about..er..something when dinner's over. About another student..uh" he blushed and bowed his head as he fumbled with a shirt-cuff before looking up again for their replies

:wallbang: I'm most dreadfully sorry! The Set Up completely slipped my mind! Editing that.

Yes. Now that everything else is out of the way, we can start that. I'll put up its stats in an hour or so.
