  1. Okay, Search roll to try and find a good exit. 21. He finds something that works(a hatchway leading to the surface), but not a perfect escape route through the vents. The Cultists have the regular Cultist stats from the Core Rules, but with the Ritualist feat. There are 30 of them.
  2. The King of Suits had mapped the Fens quite well by now, and knew exactly what the widow was talking about. The Polanski building was a miserable place, as most were in the Fens, but it had a deserved reputation as one of the best places to be if you absolutely had to live in the district for whatever reason. Scribbling this new development down he said "Thank you, madame, you have been of invaluable help. I hope you will rest a little easier" he bowed to her slightly and fired the grapple gun at the nearby roof ledge, soaring up and over it with practiced ease, vanishing in a swirl of his black cape. Appearing next to where he had left Bram, the costumed vigilante relayed what the widow McFeery had told him "The unfortunate woman said that her husband anticipated an attack, and that several of his men had been slain by your imposter before his own murder. One of them, a 'Vic the Shark', was killed and had his heart removed. He lived in the Fens, in fact, a place called Polanski Apartments, a place I have..some familiarity with. So, if you have no objections, I say we check this lead at the apartments, according to the widow McFeery he lived around the third floor." He kept a sharp lookout for any impending attacks from above, if the imposter could fly and the reports of brutality were true they would have to be on their guard at all times now.
  3. Alright then, I'll set things up, and then post here the links to the thread and your DOOM! Hope this goes well!
  4. Subito had remained quiet for the entire trip to the well-wron gym, mentally ticking off the various things someone new would need to know about the place. He watched with no little admiration at the girls' display of strength, clapping powerfully at Tona's efforts. "Good try!" he said jovially "Not a lotta people who can do that in this world. Strength's pretty much all I got" he admitted sheepishly "and I'm only a little better at lifting than that, normally." He gestured to the other exercise machines arranged with care around the gym "Lots of other workout stations to toughen up at. Deadlifts, lots of treadmills to work on running stamina, climbing walls, agility tests where a bunch of balls are shot at you and you need to dodge 'em while staying in a ring, there's something for training in just about every part of the life of fighting evil's physical manifestations here" he said with utter sincerity, adding "If you need something that's not already here, ask Mr. Archer and he'll rustle it up for you" he leaned against the wall, having already done his exercises, and not seeing any need to show off. "When we're done here, what do you say to checking out the Auditorium? Lots of stuff there that's all about physical work."
  5. " " Subito looked at the man in front of him with no little shock. Staring at him silently for a few moments he managed "Serpent blood? You mean...you're related to those Serpent People somehow?" he wasn't able to keep the revulsion from his voice "Don't tell me how that happened. But I gotta ask:" he squatted down nearby the magician and asked bluntly "Why do they want slaves? What do they gain from it that swallowing their pride and joining forces with us wouldn't get them even more? What do they get out of digging themselves deeper and deeper into the pit of being our eternal enemies?" he asked the question with real curiosity, his reaction at finding out about the blood in Lorenzo's veins gradually forgotten as this new idea presented itself to him.
  6. Just so, everyone's favorite clone of Wilhelm Kantor and Welsh mystic agent joining forces to take down a base full of baddies! Do either of you have any preferences for what kinds of challenges you'd like to face? Anything you REALLY want or don't want to see happen? I have an idea for what's going to go down, but it is entirely negotiable.

    Riffsational!

In honor of Rift's intended name being instated, planning on a music-themed thread for the guy(or otherwise if Darskider42 has an alternate preference). If anyone would like to join in, feel free to ask! I've no intentions to play any of mine in it. PL: 11-13ish Focus: Primarily Skill, small Combat sections. Intended length: Short and sweet, aiming for around 5-6 pages to the main event, with allowance that things will probably take longer or shorter than that. Number of players: 3 is my preference. For this, we're going to try out ShaentheBrain's idea of using 'backdoors', previously set up hooks for the characters so that if anyone needs to take time off we can use that to continue things without being potentially derailed. How does that sound?
  8. Nodding once, El Heraldo quickly stepped outside to meet the officers of the law. "Good evening, Freedom's Finest!" he said brightly "I am El Heraldo, one of your fair city's newer champions of order and justice. This place was, as the proprietor will be happy to tell you I am sure, attacked by a very large and disgruntled Avian who mistook us for people who had stolen something of his. He was immune to reason, so I took action to prevent him from being a danger to the citizens nearby..." He stayed long enough to answer all questions put to him, jauntily thanked them for coming so quickly to the disturbance, and flew off! ...into an alleyway to reverse the transformation, regaining his normal garb. He made his way to a corner where he could see the entrance of the dance club, where he waited for Cerys.
  9. El Heraldo turned a blazing eye towards Glow, biting back a rejoinder as he switched his attention to the captured villain. "Glow makes a good point. You've lost this fight, and we've most likely thrown your leader's plans into disarray, meaning if she moves now she won't be as prepared for whatever she's doing, and if so.." his gaze had wandered up to Crow, then back to Dahlia "...not only will you not have been ready to hide fully whatever it was you were doing here, but in her haste to act your leader will make even further mistakes than she already has." Adjusting his feathered cap he saluted Glow smartly and set off to hunt around the spacious warehouse, humming cheerfully as he searched for clues as to what the bizarre woman and her giant snake-person had been setting up. He left the interrogation to Crow and Glow, seeing as both of them were likelier to find what was needed from her than he was. 'Stupid hat', yeah, and Crow's cloak is just the best and most stylish apparel ever! he thought angrily.
  10. Well, #4 is right next to her and on a direct line to the other two, and Voltage is flying, so I'd say she's got a clear shot.
  11. DC25 TOU save for Green Soldier #2(and there's three standing guard, not two): 13! They down. Also, Initiative rolls if you please. The Green Soldiers rolls: #1 gets 9, #3 gets 8, #4 gets 2. Success. The device was going to teleport them to some place in the Yucatan Peninsula.
  12. El Heraldo for his part didn't at first pay much attention tot he yawning guard, focused as he was on the words of the refugee woman, and was doing his best to ignore the irritating whirring noise in the distance. Nodding along with a slight impatience he asked her "<He will not give you up? Alright then, do you know how he attacked...hey!>" he exclaimed in surprise as the woman collapsed to the ground and began to drone peacefully "Glow, she just dropped and fell asleep, the he-" he turned and saw Kristin standing before the unconscious guard, and realized with a start what that thrumming in the air above was. "They're coming from the sky!" he cried furiously, drawing the Banner and leaping over to a nearby window to see if he could get a glimpse of the helicopter "Glow, how do we do this? I think we should catch 'em off-guard and just charge them"
  13. The four have the basic Soldier stats from the core, but each with a Device bearing the power: Blast 7(Feats: Alternate Power)[15PP] AP:Snare 7[14PP] Though I dare say they won't get to use it for long.
  14. GM The gas kept at bay by Stormbreaker's powers over the very air, the two were undisturbed for precisely five minutes after the Doctor's message ended. Voltage could detect with ease the sudden activation of several electric signals nearby, followed by an ethereal flare of teal light as four masked and armored soldiers teleported into view, their bizarre weapons trained on the two supposedly unconscious heroes. Seeing that they were both lying still they visibly relaxed, and the two could by their very different methods hear them as they spoke to each other. "What a relief!" said one more heavyset than the others "I was afraid the boss just sent us in to check if they were faking "We don't know they're not" pointed out another, leaner man, the shortest of the quartet, who still had his strange gun aimed at the two "Well, we'll know in a second" commented the third, who seemed to be their leader from the narrow gold band on each shoulder, her voice bland and level "get t'em ready for transport" The fourth merely nodded and walked over to Voltage, carefully placing a small black disk on his chest and tapping three of the small buttons on it in a sequence before moving to Stormbreaker and beginning to repeat the process...
  15. That is some Metal Gear Solid-style shenanigans.
  16. El Heraldo An Arrow into the Air Blod on the Dancefloor Slave to Time The Serpent and the Devil Two's Company, Four's a Party King of Suits + Vignette. 17. "Good to know!" exclaimed El Heraldo with no little relief "Now, let me see if I can punch some sense into our good friend here!" so saying, a faint glow surrounded his limbs, and as it shone he drew back his right arm, stepped forward and pivoted it with super-human force into the sternum of the Avian with a terrific *THUD* as it connected. The force sufficient to knock the wind out of just about anyone. Watching their foe collapse, he asked Blodeuwedd in a blunt whisper "Alright, seriously Blodeu: why the heck was this guy here?! What IS that thing supposed to be?" briefly turning to the people around them watching the fight, he announced grandly(with a stronger than usual accent) "And so, Freedonians, I think we have all learned a valuable lesson: no cutting in line!" he joked with a wink visible through his mask.
  18. Subito had in fact almost lifted off to snatch the man out of the water before his comrade sailed overhead. Dropping to the ground he shrugged to himself Eh, shouldn't get mad just 'cause I can't do everything he thought, listening to the splashing noises of the quick rescue, and watching her dump the man at his feet. "Sure thing YB, he won't get away" he said, a little distantly, his eyes fixed on the face of their enemy. He had only briefly caught glimpses of it during most of their adventure, and he was curious what the man would look like not shrouded in darkness or in the haze of a sewer. Huh..he looks like an ordinary man he thought in surprise That is how it usually is, yes He glanced over at the nearby water, watching the play of light coming from Agnes for a second before turning back to his charge, starting when he saw the man's eyes begin to open. "You weren't out long, Lorenzo, must not have hit you hard enough. Just so you know, if you try and escape now, I won't make that mistake" he said companionably "How about you start talkin' about how you started working for the Serpent People?"
  19. Oh. In that case Moving All-Out in direction of the ship's armory(which is just bound to have convenient signs pointing to it).
  20. I'm all for the exit being harder than the entry, and agreed on the Accurate problem. Not much point giving him a HP though, seeing as he hit anyway and it wasn't precisely a hinderance to him.
  21. El Heraldo hadn't the faintest idea who or what the 'Unspeakable One' was, but he had absorbed enough general Lovecraftian lore by osmosis to know his had similar titles. "So your patrons worship some fell beast from beyond, do they?" He listened to the loud thuds of the escaping man's feet down the narrow tunnel, tracking him by the changing volume of his feet slamming into the ground. Lifting off into the air with a flare of golden light, he soared after the man, fell to earth just behind Lorenzo, and punched him right between his shoulder blades. "It won't matter, we'll never be slaves again now! Not while the Spirits of Justice and Victory stand to send champions into the fray!"
  22. There was a brief moment where Wave-Eye stood perfectly still, head thrust forward, utterly motionless. Then, without a word or sign he charged forwards, bent into the run to reduce drag and increase his speed through the slick tunnels, harsh feet making thunderous booms as he hurtled down the hall... ...right towards the back of the zombie 'drone(Or whatever that miserable thing is he thought), and he realized with no inconsiderable nervousness that he would have to find the armory or whatever quickly before the more unfriendly drone caught up with the friendlier. Leaping down a nearby stairway, he ran furiously down the hallways, following the signs that indicated a place where weaponry was stored.
  23. He acquired it a couple months ago, actually. With that in mind, going to go for a Charge. How could that go wrong. Attack Rolle: 26! Concealment roll: 20. Dunno. If it hits, DC26 TOU save for him.
  24. Couldn't possibly fail now. 19. Amazing.
