  1. Looks quite solid! Nice variety in what he can do, simple but effective backstory, and his being another aquatic hero, of course, gladdens my heart. One thing though, in the most common formatting the ranks of Feats is simply displayed on the right-hand side. If this is just for ease of reference for you, sorry to bring it up. Also, is the magic sword called 'Frostbite' or 'Shimmer'? The History section calls it 'Shimmer', but the Device is called 'Frostbite'.
  2. Subito heard the man being hurled through the air long before he saw them, though the delay was short even by Blodeuwedd's standards as he whipped around to see who was hollering and making that whistling noise as they sailed through the air. He turned just in time to see the bouncer land on a few very surprised dancers before he brought them all crashing down to the floor from his weight. Y'know, I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't something to what the other guys at school keep saying, that this stuff just about ALWAYS happens when we go out he thought to himself as he dashed into the bathroom, slammed the stall door behind himself and concentrated. With an explosion of golden light, Subito Sondo was clad in the garb of the Herald of Puerto Rico's Blue Dame of Victory. Shouldering the Banner emblazoned with its patriotic sign, he strode out of the bathroom, floated next to where the bouncer had crash-landed before pointing at the door and thundering "I am El Heraldo de la Dama Azure! A guardian of this city and her people! You, whoever has dared to attack this place, step forth and explain yourself before I crush the answer out of you!" he glared as hard as he could, hoping that whoever walked through that door was at least somewhat within his and Blodeuwedd's class. He turned to Cerys and discreetly gave her the thumbs-up.

    Crikey! (OOC)

Welp, might as well. Using the Obscure power from the Armaments belt Array to create a blanket of harmless but blinding smoke around himself and the giant kitties. Radius is 2,500ft.(!!!) Move Action 20ft. from his original position.
  5. The smoke was obliterating the precious air the costumed vigilante needed, and the heat was cleaving his tongue to the roof of his mouth. Sweat was finally beginning to slide down his face, and evaporating to maddeningly fog up the goggles. The distant shout of another would-be rescuer did a lot to alleviate these discomforts, but they were still no bed of pleasure. For all that, he laughed aloud when he heard the answering call from the room just ahead, dashing down the hall to the door with leaping strides that were abruptly checked with a thud on the floor as he saw the flames licking around the steel door frame. He briefly considered clambering around on the outside to let them out, and quashed that instantly, speed was everything in this case. He took a sharp step backwards and began to raise his left gauntleted fist when the buzzing and mechanically-filtered voice spoke to him from out of wreathing billows of smoke. Whirling around, the tall Frenchman was deeply surprised to see a man dressed in a suit of bee-themed armor standing nearby. Looking curiously at the synthetic compound eyes he rasped out with a stronger than usual French accent through the clinging and bitter clouds "Yes, I think there are two within that room. Please" he said earnestly "help me get them out, the window just down that way is broken open, you can get them out through there!" he added, pointing down the hallway where he had smashed-in the window-frame, and its shivered glass laying winking in the sun. Darting forward with a cry of "You inside! Get away from the door!" he brought the gauntlet slamming into the door as he pulled the triggers, sending a blast of pressure through it that shot the flat-headed ram outwards with enough force to send most of the door clean off its hinges, several large bits of wood breaking off from it and scattering across the interior floor. On the one hand that let him get inside with all speed, on the other hand that let a wave of grey and black smoke go rolling smoothly into the the dingy and ill-furnished apartment, some of it going out the opened window. Already moving, the masked man strode in, quickly locating the sources of the calls for help: a middle-aged man of Mexican descent with thin and graying hair kneeling by the bedside of a much older and very frail woman sunk onto a bed, holding a damp washcloth to her forehead in the sole bedroom. Starting at the collapse of their door, the man leaped to his feet, yelling desperately "Get my mother-in-law out of here! She hurt her leg, can't walk a step!" he said, gesturing to the limb swathed in bandages. "I'll...I'll..." the man coughed painfully as the smoke poured remorselessly in, before being silenced by the King of Suit's upraised finger. Marceau told the man in his harsher than usual voice "Please, follow closely, we will get your mother out of here in no time at all" calling back to the Bee-Keeper he shouted "Mister Bee! There's an injured party here, wounded leg, needs more ginger transport than I could manage, I'll see to her son!"so saying he took the man's hand and pulled him along as he dashed through the smoke to the broken window, got the man securely attached to him with a few lines, and attaching the grapple anchor to the underside of the window slid briskly to the ground, where he deposited the man. "Remain here" he coughed as he shot back into the burning fray.
  6. GM The Fey prince looked briefly displeased at the sight of Rene's talent, amber eyes narrowing for a fleeting instant, ruby lips pressing for the space of a breath. His expression cleared with all speed, though, and clapping politely at the transformation of Marceau he eyed the man's new guise with a critical eye. "It will serve" he said after walking around the Redcap-apparent "It is unlike the glamers my race use, and that should at least allay suspicions that you are of another breed trying to spy on them. However" Parsinkle warned gravely, looking to both of the humans but with his words directed at Rene "this trick will not wholly protect your friend. As you already observe, his voice is yet his own. He will not walk, hold himself or use the jargon common to the Redcaps. Thus, I would advise him to be silent when he can, and shuffle, and look downwards to lend more strength to this deception" he nodded shortly, his long cap swirling in a manner more suited to water than air "But..I trust your squire is able, and discreet enough to carry this part" a quick smile slid across his face and he picked up the heavy sword that had been left nestled against the stump, buckling it to his ornate belt. Setting off noiselessly down the hill he said to the two humans "Proceed, I and my soldiers will await you" and so saying he vanished into the sparkling trees. ----------------- The Redcap encampment was only lightly-guarded, a collection of tents behind scattered lines of stakes scattered around small campfires in a large clearing, with long lines of salt cross-hatching the camp. A large wooden cage was erected at the center of the camp, made of heavy trunks hacked from the glittering oaks. It was clearly visible from all ends of the clearing, and looked very imposing. The place looked quite deserted, with not a Redcap to be seen.
  7. With a crack of metal on concrete, the King of Suits sailed over the edge of the abandoned clothing store, his high-collared cape swirling about him as he looked in horror at the apartment building in flames. He had first learned of the horrible event when one of the fire engines parked nearby had gone roaring past during his defusing of what had almost become and armed robbery attempt. It hadn't helped very much to calm the frayed tempers. After dealing with that mess, Marceau had come racing towards the distressingly close-by pillar of smoke that heralded the burning, and so was deeply grateful that he had managed to train himself to not be affected much by high heat, which in his heroics garb would have been mild torture. Surveying the scene as he readied himself for entry he was struck at how depressingly often he had seen something like this: a tall building in flames, workmanship or materials proving not up to the task and foiling escape efforts, and s crowd of horrified onlookers watching the catastrophe. At least the response was blessedly quick he thought to himself, aiming the grapple gun at the wall just above a shut window on one of the highest floors through which billows of smoke could be seen. Donning a gas mask over his face, fastening the seals that connected to the cowl that concealed two-thirds of his head, and sliding a razor and explosive card into he holsters on his sleeves, he fired the grapple line and soared off, passing like a red and black cloud above the heads of the horrified citizens, firefighters and the news crew. As he raced for a collision with the wall, he folded his legs, aimed at the wooden window frame, and when he was almost upon it struck out with his feet, sending the frame smashing out of the sill against the wall as he rolled inside, striking his shoulder with a painful crash against the same barrier. Stifling a groan, he leaped to his feet, retrieved the grapple anchor from its mark before replacing it in his belt, and immediately began to set about the task of finding people who needed help fleeing the deathtrap. He cut a ghoulish figure as he dashed through the smoke-filled halls, hammering on doors and shouting "Hello! Is anyone in here?" thinking better of it, he slid out the powerful hand-rams from their compartments on the back of his utility belt, putting them on and giving them an experimental clench that sent a low thrumm through the air. Nodding in satisfaction, he resumed his search, seeking out closed or locked doors to find those still trapped in the slowly burning apartment complex.
  8. The King of Suits tags this with vigor.
  9. Pretending to sip the still-cold beer and looking as relaxed as he could while unrestrained sounds surged into his ears, Subito payed close attention to the conversation between the two agents. He blinked is surprise at the news that this was apparently some kind of problem with an artifact, all he had ever heard of were(Usually reminded the Blue Dame) well-behaved, mostly non-sentient, and rarely did they ever cause much trouble that was released to the public. I guess it makes sense some of those things would be harder to deal with he ruminated, wrinkling his nose slightly at the smell of the amber liquid that slipped perilously close to his lips. It...screams? That's weird, wonder what it wa- his eyes suddenly widened and he accidentally swallowed a mouthful of the drink, putting the large glass firmly on the table with a vicious look from his dark eyes. Muttering under his breath "But wait, if it screams, and he thinks he's being followed, could that sound be the..whatever?" he bent his head slightly, trying to get a grip on what he was really hearing at the edge of vision, growling "Stupid music, this'd be so much easier without you" turning a brief glare at the speakers pumping the thudding music into the room before looking worriedly at the man and Blodeuwedd. He realized suddenly that he had to warn them. The guy had the idea that the thing was after him, but there was no way he would be able to hear it coming even as well as Subito could. I can't just not say anything, this might be dangerous. I've gotta tell them! he decided, getting out of his seat and all but marching towards his destination.
  10. "An excellent idea!" said Marceau cheerfully, dropping the pack as he began to fiddle with the coveralls so he could change quickly into his armored suit, unconscious of the change being wrought upon his appearance "We could scout around the camp, discern their defenses and come up with a-" he stared at his suddenly wrinkled(and much paler) hands, A moment's frantic search consoled him that they were in fact still his, and he straightened up, looking over Rene's handiwork with a whistle of appreciation. He had the gnomic face, the narrow eyes and dour demeanor of the Redcaps in great evidence. Turning an incongruous smile on his friend he exclaimed happily "Brilliant, Rene! Even if they realize somehow I am no Redcap, I might at least be able to walk through their camp and discover the captured" he embraced the old man warmly "Now, will this suffice?" he asked Parsinkle.
  11. ""Inside and out"'s kind of a stretch, Cerys'" laughed the young paragon as he waved politely to the man who seemed to be shepherding Tona. "Hello sir," he said cheerfully to him "yeah, just showing us what she can do. She's pretty awesome" he stated with utter gravity "I do know the layout of this place,"he added to Tona, adjusting his hat brim to block out the Sun's rays "if you want a guide, I'll be happy to show you around." Turning to Crimson Tiger he asked eagerly "You in, Mali?"
  12. Using the Damage power of the Conch again on the only non-KO'd drone. Accurate Attack(+-2) roll: 23! DC25 TOU save if that hits.
  13. Glaring around the yard and warehouses, Subito grumbled under his breath, hurrying after Glow with his heavy tread, the boots thudding rapidly along the concrete. "At least I think we stopped..whatever it was they were doing" he offered dubiously "I'm fine" he added by way of assurance, his voice holding a slight edge of irritation that he didn't notice "whatever foul toxin that wretch dosed me with, it's gone now, and good riddance to it!" He suddenly looked very puzzled as they raced to where Crow had chased Dahlia "Hey, I wonder what they were doing here in the first place? Stealing stuff, maybe?" he said as the two entered the warehouse, where his attention was immediately drawn to the sight of Crow dangling Dahlia from the rafters. Floating over to the black-coated teen he looked from Morgan to the hanging Dahlia, saying "Any chance the lady could give us a revelation or three, Crow?"
  14. GM It was at that precise moment when the eye's pulses reached a speed where one was impossible to tell from the other, and with a high-pitched roar of unleashing energy, a golden vortex appeared around the Amber Curse, pulling him in a rush of displaced air. The portal hung in the air, glittering and smoking with power. Meanwhile, an AEGIS van had arrived, and the wounded Deep One was being cared for. A small crowd had gathered, and were cheerfully congratulating the two on their victory(looking slightly worried at the sword in the man and a few calling for an ambulance) when the disappearance happened. The shouts of "Good job!" "Woohoo, we love you guys! Keep it up!" and similar sentiments quickly died down, and an expectant hush grew as they watched the two heroes.
  15. Everyone's doing so well, and I've just been a burden thought Heraldo dejectedly It sounds like Crow has that lady Whatever well in hand. I've got to..got to... unaware of what he was doing, his lips slowly pulled back as his paralyzed face assumed a look of desperate determination "I've got" he grated, the world still dark around him as Lady Mamba's cloud of darkness and despair weighted on him like a coat of lead "to do somthing!" he shouted, his body surging with a power that dissolved the paralytic toxin, freeing his still-stiff limbs and liberating him from the prison Cottonmouth had thrown him in with his fangs, freed to pursue Victory for the just! And you shall came the Blue Dame's deep, confident voice resounding in his mind. He couldn't see, but with his arms at least able to move under their own power he snatched up the Banner, holding it aloft and channeling the lent power of his patron through it into a mural of triumph over the enemies of freedom! In a voice that echoed around the warehouses and into the ears of his allies he declared "My friends, hear me! We stand at the threshold of success! In but a few instants, the efforts of these minions of evil shall be torn asunder, and their schemes turned to their ruin! We shall not be defeated, not while such as you, Glow, or you, Crow, still live and fight!" The last word was accompanied by a chorus of shouts in a thousand tongues, soldiers hailing the victory that stood just inches from them, while their feet rumbled across a spectral plain to meet their foes in the last struggle!
  16. As requested, FORT save vs. DC18, +1 for the new round attempt: 27! I'm still watching you, IC... Going to use his Inspire Feat to encourage his allies to new heights of greatness! (2HP) +4 to Attack rolls, saving throws, etc. for Glow and Crow.
  17. Subito gave a long, low whistle as he watched the display of skill, eyes tracking the descending object as it plummeted to the ground pierced with its cargo. Clapping enthusiastically he bowed slightly at Tona's confident words, remarking as he gave a parting surevey of the bottle "'Just that good' is right! I think Bowman and Quarrel have a little competition! They'd bett-" he happened to glance at her clenched fist and see the blood oozing out of it. The smile vanished and he looked at her sharply "You okay, Tona? If it's bad, Nurse Joy could patch you up in no time. I could fly you to her office if you want" he offered earnestly, looking at her hand again and wincing in sympathy "Wish I could heal it myself, but I haven't learned to do that yet, I'm sorry"
  18. At the moment Catalyst spoke, the King of Suits was busily scanning the alleyway between a small electronics shop and a college bookstore(gritting his teeth as he recalled a horrible instance in his college days when a very expensive book had turned out to be just slightly out of date on a crucial matter...), where he was certain he had caught traces of stealthy movement. He was thus quite unprepared for the nonchalant voice behind him, and said so. "You step lightly, madam!" he exclaimed with a slight French accent. Taking a small thermos from his belt he removed the lid, gladly took the pot and poured a measure of the liquid into it, replaced its top and sipped from it gratefully. Handing the pot back he said gravely "I am indebted to you, madam. Such comforts are much longed-for in our line of work, and I never seem to manage to take more than a few litres of water with me whenever I go staking-out" sliding the binoculars halfway into their pouch he asked casually "I am called the King of Suits, may I ask your heroic title?" he asked, with a flash of white teeth "As well, am I correct in assuming you are here for the same reason I am, trying to catch those miserable thieves in the act?".
  19. The youth glanced at Tona in brief puzzlement before shrugging and getting to his feet with the empty water bottle. He stood still for a moment, looking lost in thought His eyes snapped open, and nodding to Tona he leaned slightly backwards, drew back his arm, and threw the bottle into the air with a snap of his thick wrist. sending the plastic thing sailing high into the air. He watched Tona with interest, wondering what she would do to hit it. Maybe she can predict the trajectory of stuff, or something He rolled his eyes at Cerys' admonishment "Oh come on, just about everyone here has powers, it's a perfectly reasonable question!" for all that he said awkwardly "Uh, sorry Tona. Shouldn't have assumed"
  20. Striding with long, slow steps down the path from the library, a stocky, darker-skinned teen boy with a powerful build, a white shirt and blue jeans, and wearing a baseball cap with the Freedom City Heroes logo emblazoned on it was absorbed in reading the crisp pages of a thick book with the title 'Provincial Municipal Laws of Puerto Rico'. He was tracing a sentence with a thick middle finger when he heard Cerys' voice, and Tona's in quick succession. His head whipped up, and he quickly spotted the small gathering of Claremonters under the tree. Putting a bookmark in place, he jogged over, his feet thudding up the path as he approached. Waving cheerfully at the trio he called over "Hey Cerys!" noting Benjawan he added brightly "Hey Mali!" he looking curiously at Tona, he wasn't more than casually acquainted with the martial-artist, but they had seen each other in the gym a few times and exchanged pleasantries. Leaping over and squatting down nearby the other students he offered his powerful hand with a broad grin "I'm Subito Sondo, call me whatever ya like! You said your name was Tona? That's awesome." realizing this might need explanation he added breezily "Super-hearin', I can pick stuff up from crazy far away. What powers do you have?"
  21. As per suggestion, DC20 Notice check to see King of Suits on the edge of the roof.
  22. I have no opposition to that.
  23. GM Where it took them turned out to be a large clearing on a ledge overlooking a short drop into a narrow valley, where the stream fed a small pond with several darting, rainbow-colored fish visible in the depths. A scattering of tents and a large wooden cage could be seen below next to a slow-moving river. Standing on an incongruous tree stump right at the edge of the shelf was Parsinkle, shading his brow with an elegant red-gloved hand. The attendants were nowhere in sight. Hearing their approach(his ears twitching visibly), he turned to the two humans and smiled cheerfully "Ah, there you are! And in good time, too!" waving towards the view below he continued breezily "I have sent my troops down before us, to prepare an ambush. We will show ourselves, the renegade Redcaps" his mouth twitched upwards briefly "we will feign a retreat, and lead them directly into our jaws" sitting down with a flourish on the smooth tree stump he said brightly "Your thoughts?"
  24. "And we shall defy you, traitor!" yelled Heraldo, his voice roaring and booming through the narrow tunnel, making echoes that made his own ears ache "We will defy you and your enslaving masters to our dying BREATH!" he thundered, punctuating the last word by slamming one of his feet into the ground to anchor himself, inhaling massively enough to cause a small vortex, and exhaling like the back of a jet engine as he sought to send Lorenzo clear off his feet!
