That hits, DC27 TOU check: 26. A narrowly-won bruise! You're up VG!
-
GM Arcturus: "If you could do such a thing, I would be in your debt for at least twelve favors, the undead are a monstrous foe, prohibitively hard to destroy" declared Waker, now much more at his, for all that he still spoke softly "And I already have a claim to one of the thrones, I just need the agreement of at least a few of my brothers to let me in the door of the council room, and I haven't..kept on the best of terms with them"he admitted sheepishly "We tend to, er..fight a great deal, whenever we do meet." Net Fly: The internal motion detectors, thermal trackers, and even the basic visible light-spectrum cameras failed to detect the young hero as the grey-suited youth slid noiselessly and unseen through the ship. A few robots passed on business of their own, but their eyes failed to catch the various signs of the organic's presence nearvy, and their softly clinking feet carried them past with neat, regular strides that never broke.

Hits! DC27 TOU check: 20. dazed, Brusied and Injured. Passing by Sneakbot 1 to the Penitent, you're up Shofet!
-
That is a brilliant plan Rav! It should be simple to(after the base has been around for a while) to simply install a teleport system connecting the ship(at Blue's discretion, obviously) to the HQ. That would allow easy transport of the team to and from Ages Lost without the peril of one depending on the other. Admittedly, that would also mean the HQ would be stationary and thus more vulnerable to attack, though on the other hand with the right Features it could be safely hidden from almost anyone. It would also allow potential hijacking of teleporting Vanguards...>.>

That hits! EDIT: please forgive this lapse, it does not, the Defence bonus grants them an 11, my apologies VG. Sneakbot 2's(I'm assuming that's your target, always clarify who your'e attacking, even if it seems obvious!) DC27(also make plain what attack you're using) TOU save: 25, a Bruise(or dent or whatever).EDIT: Nope. Okay, Sneakbot 2 will spend a Move Action clambering back on its feet, and take a swing at Corp. Attack roll: 20, a miss! Round Three! Ironclad: Unharmed! 4HP Sneakbot 1: Unharmed, Prone Penitent, the: Unharmed, 0HP Corp. Cosmos: Unharmed, 1HP Sneakbot 2: Bruise(x1) EDIT: Nope, my mistake, Unharmed. You're up Rav!

GM With a ringing clang the armored fist bounced off of the flaring cone that was the robot's head. it didn't seem to care much. Meanwhile, the one that had fired on Corporal Cosmos had turned and was crawlign rapidly away from the fight, towards the power station. It was readying itself for a leap across the broad gap between halways when the Penitent raced throught eh air, borne aloft by his allied repentant spirits. The robot on the wall was about to raise its arms to ward off the attack it saw coming faster than any human could, but even it couldn't react quite fast enough to guard against the incoming fist, and it went hurtling to the floor in a tangle of briefly flailing limbs scarbbling to regain its posture. The other was even less prepared, and only managed to look behind itself in time to see impending punch before it too was sent onto its back ont he floor, electronic mind racing to get back on its feet. Or at least its hands and feet.

STR is these guy's higher score, so they'll try and beat that. Sneakbot 1: 18. Prone! Sneakbot 2: 19...Prone'd! Corporal Cosmos, take it away!
-
Hits, TOU check DC27: 28. Lordy. Also: Sneakbot 1 is the only metal chappy within range of ironclad's Flight, assuming she's not going faster than her normal movement. With that, it will attempt to reason with the battlesuited heroine by persuasive punchings. Attack roll: 13. Misses by much. Penitent is up!
-
Also, if you want Shofet the Penitent can try for a DC18 Sense Motive check on Weissnacht's last message.

GM The two towering robots looked at each other's sleek chrome heads, flicked their obstruction removers along their glowing blue eyes, and with one accord the brother to the one who had shot Corporal Cosmos dashed after the starry hero! It's long, thin limbs and broad hands and feet moving it with tremendous speed through the hallway...in absolute silence. Meanwhile, the Penitent got a rather frustrated response to his mental missive. The furious voice of Weissnacht hissed at him "Listen, friend. I have no real ill-will towards you, I don't hate anyone at all, and would gladly try and achieve my goals without this violence if I thought I could. But by God you TRY MY PATIENCE!" a brief vision of blood jetting out of something came and went with stunning rapidity as the inner voice continued "First: I'm actually from Europe. Second: The armor is banded so I can replace it in strips rather than fiddling with plates, and third: my parents were very kind and supporting people. I'm sorry they'll have to probably be removed to make way for the better world, but I've no hard feelings against them at all, and as for a girlfriend; I've never wanted or needed one, so SHUT. YOUR. BRAIN-HOLE! Keep this up and I'll cut right to the chase, make you the first one to die to prove how serious I am about this!" a series of muttered snarls that formed no coherent thought followed, and at last the connection was severed again.

Sneakbot 2 will move all-out to reach the wacked organic. Okay, round 2! 1. Ironclad: Unharmed, 4HP 2. Sneakbot 1: Unharmed 3. Penitent, the: Unharmed, 1HP 4. Corp. Cosmos: Unharmed, 1HP 5. Sneakbot 2: Unharmed. You're up Rav!

GM The twin heads seemed to become..brighter? At the least the menagerie trying to trumpet, scream and hiss over the phone operator became more excited "Name? Ah, yes, I am-" the creature began a flood of gurgling syllables that twisted, wound themselves about each other, and turned into some kind of confusing mass of sounds the human voice couldn't easily replicate "...but you may refer to me as Hrnnngshurgh, if you so desire" it added casually when it had done "I am not one to stand on ceremony" one of its heads migrated to get a little closer to the pinned superhuman, where it visibly considered the request for freedom, at last rolling its eyes in the general direction of Quintessence's face "I really see no reason why not" it agreed "When I-when the Preservers left me in charge here, I'm sure they didn't mean for a prolonged restraint" a pulse went through the tubes, and the force fields were somehow retracted into the machine, and the rams slid back into the ceiling. The other face joined its comrade in a melange of lava-like movement, the heat coming off of it intense even at the distance it kept from the enhanced human. "I ask your pardon, but I only have limited control over the machines outside this room, so I'm afraid I have limited ability to assist your comrades should they try to rejoin you. Now," it seeped comfortably through the tubes "What would you like to talk about?" The Terminus portal glittered with an light that was acrid itself.

It's the blueprints for a remote activator, judging from the design it appears to be some kind of detonator.

KoS has a few PP lying around, I'm sure he could chip in a few for a HQ. As for finding one...perhaps it's an old hero's lair/lab co-opted by whomever the first threat the team faces is? If we DO end up fighting mostly techy villains it would make some sense to start with one. And such types need secret labs like birds need nests.

Subito frowned a little deeper than usual, slowly rubbing his curly head with an agitated hand before answering: "It was..well it was hot, very loud and kind of crowded. I don't really remember too much of it, my family left Puerto Rico when I was eight. Apparently some douche with more powers than sense decided to attack a local hero in their secret identity, the fight levelled several houses before the villain was beaten, and my parents figured they could do better than rebuilding their century-old home. Most of what I recall of the place was when me and my sister Galanta would go wandering around the hills of our Adjuntas municiplaity, looking for buried treasure or whatever. We never found any, but we found a LOT of fights, my sis loves fighting so that suited her fine, but I hated never meeting any kids my own age who were interested in just playing" He grinned at Morgan's winking question "Nah man, contrary to the stereotype Puerto Rico is not some kinda free-love wonderland, and the schools..I dunno, as far as I can tell they're maybe a bit harder than the ones here, but as I said, I was eight when we left and didn't have any kind of definite plan for the future back then, so I may be way off. Home life was..well is busy, my parents don't take too kindly to loafing, everyone is constantly telling everyone else how they ought to do their thing(except for my cousin Rodrigo, guy is crazy-quiet and subdued), and everyone argues back. There's not much downtime, which I'm now a little less used too, never noticed it before I left and only saw my folks now and again instead of being submerged in it all the time" he shrugged in disinterest before turning back to Janis "Gotcha, it's close to my mom's birthday so I'll look for some music she'd like. Mom loves learning to play different pieces, she thinks I oughta learn to play something too to "preserve a cultural touchstone" as she calls it"

Knowledge(Pop Culture): 20. Knowledge(Current Events): 23. ...Huh. That turn up anything useful on the guy?

The King of Suit's night-vision goggles had been working out so well Marceau had quite forgotten how blinded the others would be by the dark. Thus, the sudden flare of light that touched at the edges of his vision caused him to spin around, arms at the ready for an attack. Seeing as it was just the flame-thrower making a torch he gave a sigh of relief. "A good solution, Spitfire!" he said, removing his goggles and placing them back in their container in his belt "But give a warning next time you light up, could you? I thought we were under a attack for a moment there!" he laughed aloud at that, and then turned to Synth's questions "Near as I could guess" he began thoughtfully, scanning the moldering basement "this place must contain an entrance to a secret passage leading to another building, perhaps even another basement owned by whoever made this place. You're quite right: it's got to be one of the worst places to spend any time at all, and it certainly would be foolish to set up shop here" he confronted one of the doors, tapping it experimentally to check both for what it was made of and how sturdy it might be. To Synth he asked politely "Beg pardon miss, but could you stand ready to help knock down this door, in case I can't unlock it? We might as well look for something, to my mind" He glanced over at Voltage "Volt, do you have the plans for this basement, by any chance? And would you be able to tell us anything about it?"

Okay, so now we have 6 people on the lineup, meaning now it's time for the brass tacks of how to get these folks together and how to make this happen in as unforced a method as we can. Chime in at will! Personally, I think a trio of threads devoted to each of them meeting another potentate, all fighting a mysterious antagonist's minions/henchmen/whatever, and concluding with a final thread where they beat the villaine and decide that they seem to work well together, so why not continue this relationship? Thoughts?
-
A teacher with a magic shield and an alien-improved flying brick? Sounds like Sentinel material to me! Okay, this brings us to six people, so we're going to get talking about how to set this thing up proper. We've got space for another member, but 5-6 is the preferred lineup by Thunder King, so we'll get this started. Who knows? Maybe they'll meet a Green- Ranger-type of fellow and expand the old roster. Anyway, feel free to ask if you think your char would be a good fit. EDIT: So yeah, Crusader doesn't have a magic shield in actuality, just a connection to his forebears and a shield made of impervium. My mistake.

Notice check from any robots in the areas he passes(using the base robots in the Core): 16. You sidle on by without incident!
-
That succeeds. He hears soft clicks coming from most of the halls and adjoining rooms, and faint shouts from the next floor up. VG, if you want you COULD use a Surge, which in exchange for suffering a Fatigue condition. Snare uses a Standard Action, being technically an Attack and all. You can use one extra Move OR Standard Action before or after your regular ones, your choice. EDIT: If you choose to Surge, that is.

GM The robots had only had time to start the twist of their necks that would have brought their eyes onto the dart-like missiles before they detonated. With blasts of fire that arced over the polished floor and bursts of flailing electricity their heads and limbs went sailing off in every direction, most of them slamming harmlessly into walls, though a few got dangerously close to visitors and were caught by the suddenly lightning-swift caretaker bots. At last the last few jolts and smouldering pyres went out, and the eight would-be invaders were so much blasted scrap, the few busboys who were in the room tentatively beginning a cleamup of the sharper and smaller pieces lying around. The visitors cheered heartily at the rapid resolution and relaxed visibly, some tension having begun when the Weissbots had first appeared. Ironclad's warning to Weissnacht was evidently heard, as the screens switched back on, showing the white-armored man fiddling with some kind of screwdriver, muttering to himself "Blasted...eh, got it..nah, that's-" he looked up for a moment "YOh! You already beat those? Meh, they're quite expendable" he tossed it aside, adding more coldly "Ironclad, I have no wish whatsoever to give myself up to the police just yet. Give me a few more minutes and I'll happily make negotiations for the safety of the people in the skyscarper, but if you think I'll fold before mere words you've got another thing coming. If you want me to surrender outright, come up and make me yourself"the screen switched back off as he turned his metal back on whatever camera he was talking into. At that moment, the robot that had leaped onto the wall to Corporal Cosmos' right fired off a salvo of energy pellets from its various guns, which slammed into the starry guardian like a hail of burning needles! This at least wasn't quiet, and the sharp hissing retorts of the cannons could be heard at the edge of consciousness even in the robot room.
-
No more they can't. All down! Sneakbot 1 will attack Corporal Cosmos with his guns: 25. Thankfully, Minions can't make criticals on non-Minions, so that's just a DC25 TOU save. Also, the commotion has reached levels where the Penitent and Ironclad can make a DC15 Notice check(yes, you can take 10) to detect the scuffle.
-
GM The Penitent 'heard' a long succession of featureless plains, tranquil seas, and starry skies. At last, Weissnicht answered in a more understandable fashion <I'd say "You have no idea who you're talking to like that", but clearly you already have a perfect understanding of me, so I won't bother. Enjoy this squad of robots> it cut out a little more sharply than last time, with a slight flash of violent imagery as Weissnicht dragged his thoughts back to whatever plan he had. The Ajax rep., startled by the abrupt mental message, stared into space, saying "I can make some sense out of this, but it will take time to work it out" after a second he added quietly "As well as some paper" With a crash, 8 of the same kinds of robots that the Corp. Cosmos had just encountered landed on the floor, in view of the impromptu robot room. With a flicker of their shining blue eyes they advanced purposefully on the two who seemed the most obvious threat to a peaceful takeover, gun compartments opening with a soft flurry of clicks and mechanical whirrs, and ominous barrels protruding through the new apertures. Menawhile, Steve's attack had struck air, the robot having somehow sensed the incoming punch and leaping ungainly onto one of the walls, where it turned its single eye to look at its attacker. The glowing eye widened, and a sharp electronic buzz caused the other to get instantly to its feet and swing its torso around to face this intruder. Their initial purpose was evidently on hold, until they could remove this unplanned-for hinderance!
-
No problem, and indeed, feel free to look at things I put in spoiler tags, most of the time it will just be to save initial space anyhow.
