  1. "Dunno Morgan!" Subito declared enthusiastically "Mebbe some kind of spirit lives in it that you ticked off sometime? Have you ever kicked a forest sprite or something?" he asked while bounding up to the dangling teen. Neatly removing him from the branch he set Morgan down on the one just below him(Pretty convenient how this tree grew he thought to himself cheerfully) and said brightly "So yeah..Morgan, this is our school's newest recruit, I think" he turned to Cerys "This handsome pile of manliness is Morgan! Pretty sure he and I would be happy to show you around, if you haven't already figured this place out on your own, that is"

    The Goodly Fear (IC)

Smiling politely as he shook Wesleys hand(though still clearly on edge), the man introduced himself "I'm Marceau Suvou, a friend of mine named Chou Jeung, a regular customer of yours I believe, has gone missing. He vanished last night, last I heard of him he was stopping at your shop here for a tattoo, but he hasn't returned. He would have been sure to call if he was going to make any other stops" he frowned slightly, something that was clearly an unusual expression for him "Did you see anyone else with him? I've been looking for him all along the northern South River area, nothing so far"

    Bound in Dust (OOC)

I'm thinking I'll rule the fight done. Heq and Hed-Ra have taken a serious beating, Heq is terrified, I think we should end it right here. You guys alright with that?
  4. GM Arcturus: The wizard slapped his face with his palm "Of course! I always leave the door open when I go to check on the guardian worm! Please accept my apologies, young man. I am Waker, agent of the mighty Ghorammuz. You say you were sent by the prince? But how can that be? I have prevented the boy from communicating by any means for five years now, and he showed no sign of breaking it this morning when I peered into his soul" Waker scratched his chin through his heavy beard with evident confusion before turning his wandering gaze back to Marcus "I fear you have been deceived, he couldn't have sent for you" he smiled brightly, though he did not remove the barrier. Bringing a small thread of the symbols around the circles traced on the floor to his side with a foot, he contemplated it for a moment before asking Marcus cheerfully "Would you like me to remove the barrier? I could use an extra hand summoning a storm to destroy an armada a few hundred miles to the west. It shouldn't take too long" he added hurriedly "I've already gotten about half-way through"
  5. 1. Succeeds. Everything is fully in working order. Newly tuned with the latest software to keep it running at top efficiency. No security systems encountered. the mainframe is somewhere in the first level, in a room mindbogglingly placed so that only an elevator coming up from the third level could get to it.
  6. Marceau knew enough of the situation to understand there was precious little he could do. That little was thus of great interest to him, and so he asked the two Halbediers <"Friends, what may I do to help? Do you wish for a guard to sound the alarm if Gallu comes so he does not catch us unawares? I doubt I would be of much aid in sealing the beast back in his home dimension, and I confess I feel very uneasy with the idea of not doing anything to help"> he looked hopefully at them, maybe he could be of assistance after all!
  7. "Yep!" Subito answered enthusiastically "Dishes from Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Norway, Lithuania, all over! They've got fish that just melts in your mouth, you'll see!" he turned to Victoria and Morgan "What do you think guys? I can easily find us another place, not like I booked us a table or anything" he leaned a little more against Janis, wondering awkwardly if this was how it was supposed to go. He wasn't exactly an expert on how these things went, and wished he had asked Rick Kahuna about this, the guy seemed pretty comfortable around girls, after all.
  8. GM Chloe's nanite attack on Hed-Ra encountered an unforeseen resistance: the king's hide had been treated, embalmed, dessicated, filled with magical power, and the pharaoh's own spirit lending weight meant that the nanites could find no purchase, and though the burrowing metal creatures did their best, they couldn't break through Hed-Ra's powerful skin. He seemed more than a little sheepish at her charge that he couldn't keep any kind of lid on Heqanefer. "I could do it..." he mumbled to himself. The flood of terror that washed over the Setian disciple like a bath of needles did a great deal to sway him. "NO! I-I mean YES! Yes, I'll let him go, I'll send him back to his stinking tomb, just leave me be, I just wanted to show those jaded brats real magic, I just wanted them to understand what it was they were REALLY laughing at!" "Please don't hit me!" he added, nearly gibbering with fear. The lances of sound that Serge unleashed on the two magical beings echoed throughout the theater, and sent a wave of paper cups, popcorn and several hot dogs to crash heartily onto the screen, with one hitting Heqanefer right between the eyes, much to his dismay. Hed-Ra was sent straight to the ground with enough force from the sonic bullets slamming into him to wreak havoc on his bandaged body. Heqanefer did his limited best to dodge the air-distorting blasts, but had problems like being gripped by Glow's mind and Medic's arms. He had the wind knocked out of him, and seemed to wholly have lost the power to fight, mumbling "R'leeze meh, I wall send'im baaaa..." he panted painfully for breath "...ck"
  9. A very happy birthday to you! And many happy returns to this day!
  10. The bars are DC12, if you want to try and break them with your might. Gm Fiating you get trapped initially, HP awarded(sorry Grans!) Lemme know how you want to deal with this!
  11. GM Arcturus: The going was quite easy. Until it came time to pass behind the wizard, a powerfully-built man with a full head of long, curly black hair, bronze skin and a think beard streaked with grey that fell to his sternum. As the mystic floated silently past, he was suddenly surrounded by a wall of glowing rocks that erupted from the floor and ceiling, trapping him behind bars of stone. The wizard stopped his incantation with a wave of his hand that ceased the flow of magic around him abruptly and examined Marcus with care, saying at length "Hello rune-maker, who are you? And why have come sneaking into my home? I welcome visitors" he smiled at the young man with a friendly glow in his ruddy cheeks and tawny eyes.
  12. Gripping him with a hand clenched like a steel vise, Subito demanded of Diamond "Who is El Diablo? Why do you owe him? How long has this been going on? Who is that doctor? Who is the captain? How can you do this with so little concern for those captives? Above all, WHAT is this supposed to accomplish?!" he glared at the crew "Don't even think about trying to escape!" he barked, turning back to Diamond "Words spoken by that doctor, words in Latin, they turned the man who led us here into a raging beast! What do you know about THAT? For your sake" he added furiously "it had better be a lot! The storm is rising, and nobody who served the captain or you will leave this ship before the prisoners have been freed!"
  13. "The captain's an unconscious heap on the bridge!" snapped The Heraldo "Partially because of ME. I am El Heraldo, and I have come to make sure you don't escape this place, it will be about thirty minutes before the police get here" his hand snapped out at Diamond's shirt collar "So how about you start telling me about how you got into the pay of El Diablo, and why you do his bidding?" he had a litany of questions that needed answers, and though he understood that Diamond was unlikely to know much, he needed someone to answer for what had happened here. The doctor and the captain were out of it, and until they woke up the only target of his ire was the celebrity crooner in front of him who had colluded with what he saw as utter monsters in human form.
  14. Okay, going to try for the old Collarlift. Grapple attempt on Diamond after a Move action to next to him as needed. Attack roll: 17. Grapple check: 19.
  15. There was a short silence as Subito considered her words, long teaching leaving his thoughts completely open to even a casual observer. He had never heard of the Mabinogion, but the name certainly sounded fantasyish, and rang distant bells. Shrugging he launched himself up the tree, climbing effortlessly to a branch a little below Cerys, where he lounged casually with a leg dangling off of his perch "Don't think I've seen you around here before, I'm Subito, you a new student?" he asked eagerly "We've gotten a lot of new arrivals lately, some of the faculty say it's "like the 2000's all over again"" he laughed openly at that before asking "What's your name?"

  17. The rapid series of thuds on the ground alerted her to the approach of Subito several seconds before he came into view, legs pumping as he raced along the path, wearing the school track uniform which strained slightly under his unusually well-developed build. Coming to a stop at a drinking fountain in the shadow of the tree, he took a quick drink, and while wiping his chin of the liquid he happened to look in the direction of the Welsh agent long enough for his eyes to adjust and detect her among the branches. With a single bound he was at the base of the trunk, calling up cheerfully in a voice that strongly belied his perpetual slight frown "Hi there! What book is that? Is it good?"

    Bound in Dust (OOC)

DC16 TOU check: 22. Hits easily, Will save DC17: 7. Living Lord...okay he is filled with FEAR at Medic. He has a minus 4 to his DEF, has no Dodge Bonus(meaning he has a -1 DEF bonus!), and attackers get a bonus +4 to Attack rolls against him(making Medic's roll 28). Opposed check: 13. Diddly-dandy! Pinned.
  19. DC14 Knowledge(Arcane Lore) to know who Ghorummaz is and what wizard-dude is talking about. Unless he already knows.
  20. GM Arcturus: Apparently the wizard hadn't thought to repel(or had no fear of) flying intruders, as the barrier was practically nonexistent once Marcus began his levitation. Floating up the stairs what had been a background mumbling lost in the soft breeze turned into a slow incantation. It was addressed to a 'Ghorummaz', and the deep, grinding voice that spoke it appeared very earnest in its desire. The incantation mentioned storms, gales and lightning several times.
  21. GM Glow: The layout of the base was easily found, with multiple available camera angles granting Glow an easy understanding of the base's defense placement and where the students were. Two cells across the hall from where she was, with four rather more intimidating guards and a lean robot that looked like it had bazookas for arms lying between her and the captives. They didn't look like anyone Glow had met at the school yet, but that could be easily explained by the simple fact that she hadn't been around there for very long. Two rather more indirect routes were open to her, a ventilation duct network that would let her right into each cell, and a secret passageway that exited right next to them. The only problem with those paths were the cameras that would see her right off the bat once she exited them. Her attempt to deactivate them however was..unsuccessful. A single misplaced keystroke alerted the base's security to the intrusion, and a chorus of alarums rang throughout the compound. The sound of hurrying booted feet and concerned shouts for the agents within to answer them a warning itself. Net Fly: The spokesbot looked surprised..somehow. "if you do not wish to fly the ship into our docking bay, we will gladly steer you in with the docking ray, it is wholly harmless to you" it added unnecessarily "nor will it adversely affect your vessel. you may move about as you wish, we are adept at its use, and will not need your assistance in maneuvering" it glanced around the slightly disheveled bridge Net Fly had partially deconstructed to make needed repairs "also we will gladly repair the ship, it is not of our make but we have sufficient resources to grant it for your use once the modification is done. you may go where you wish once the experiments are concluded" a slender blue ray emanated from the two 'arms' of the robot ship, which carried Net Fly's craft smoothly into a vast hanger filled with meticulously-arranged small ships. The ship that had been sent towards Earth was like a barbed pancake next to the sleek glory that was the robot's vessels of choice, which matched the sterile beauty of the interiors perfectly. Three robots had come down to meet him, bearing no obvious weapons and overseeing the removal of the hazardous materials the ship had been filled with. A fourth approached Net Fly directly "this part of the Whole has been sent to give you this" it handed the young hero a map of the ship "and this key to your room" it added a small metal tube among its gifts "please make yourself familiar with our vessel, we will await your specification for the medical experiment to begin" it turned and walked back through the cavernous space to a small glowing pad on the floor that with a soft hum and a greenish glow dematerialized it, presumably a transporter.
  22. He's detecting magic, yeah. The pushback is the effect however, and not the cause.
  23. The monster nodded thoughtfully at the Penitent's words. At the offer to carry him into the city he shook his head once, saying with a slight gurgle "There's some kind of piracy gang that's started operating around here, need to get the drop on them as early as I can. Thank you for the offer," he added solemnly "If at a later time I can help you, I will" he stretched his limbs, looking down at the surging water passing through the bridge's supports "Ah! The tide is lowering. They will be creeping out soon" he extended his right hand towards the Penitent "May we meet again, if I might suggest a good meeting spot, it would be at an old willow tree near the bridge called Mona-Glen" shaking the soul-bearer's hand firmly he turned and dove off the bridge into the river, his legs joining into a dragon's tail just before he slammed face-first into the water with a flash of light. Sliding effortlessly through the murky water, he followed the distant throb of an outboard motor, grinning to himself at the prospect of such a simple task as he had before him. I'll try not to terrify them too much he told himself.
  24. GM Heqanefer's freedom was short-lived, as the cloud of telekinetic power planted him squarely over the penultimate scene of the movie, a moving speech about the need for everyone to learn as many languages and as much about the history of the world as possible to foster a sense of universal brotherhood, turned into an ultra-cheesy and baffling diatribe on the virtues of science over primitive superstition*. Writhing against the screen, struggling with his weakened body to release him from extended grip of Glow's mind, the acolyte of Set gave a thundering bellow like a dozen hippos bawling at once "Seized AGAIN?! Child, free me now, or I will have my servant Hed-Ra tear you to PIECES!" at his servant's beginning to raise his ancient hand he snarled "Shut up!" *Not that those terms were particularly explained.
