Hi xaositect! A bit redundant, but nice to meet you, and welcome to the site.

Semi-obligatory attack attempt with a Razor Card: 26. DC21 TOU. Not much point fighting those guys, so KoS will use his grapple gun to descend to the ground level.

Glancing at the clock mounted on the wall, Subito started at the passage of time "Yeah, I'd better go too, nice to meet you Victoria" he shook her hand readily "Me and my sister share an XBL tag, it's 'GROPOS', I'll ask her to do that today. See you around!" he called after Wisp, deactivating the super-weight and returning the borrowed power to the Blue Dame before heading out onto the chill campus after a quick shower. He wondered excitedly if he would meet many other students at Claremont, and whether all of them would be so friendly. He had to admit though, he might want to expand his conversation skills. Jogging quickly down the path to the Matthias Cooke wing, he began reciting the current constitution of Sweden to himself...

Slapping his forehead in exasperation, Subito leaped to the edge of the dock and bellowed at the retreating yacht "Hola, hey! There's an almighty bunch of garbage wound around your propeller! Saw it when I was diving, let me and my friend clear it off so you don't get in trouble in deep water!" with that he signaled to Kristin to get ready to board the vessel, and dove back into the water, transforming again to gather a suitably large pile of garbage to lend credence to the deception. Surfacing next to the boat before Diego(cancelling the assumed power as he did, he whispered in Spanish <"Sorry, making the best of a bad job">,

Bluff roll to convince Diamond's crew that there's a problem with the yacht's propeller: 12.

GM Once the heroes had done what they needed to do, had assembled at the transporter bay in the lower recesses of the ship. The short trip was expedited by the intra-ship transporters that took them along with a relaxed and chattering group of engineering crew being sent to investigate some kind of fuel leak, they materialized in the same room they had arrived on the ship in, with a much reduced population than had previously been there. Scarce seconds after the arrival of the four Earth heroes, the transporters labelled "Outgoing Traffic" were filled with a sudden influx of uniformed Lor officers, who didn't waste any time getting off the platforms they had materialized on. With subtle nudges and explanatory coughs, the four were guided onto the appropriate pad, and whisked away into... ...a vast, blank blue corridor lit by long strings of something very like fluorescent bulbs, on top of a transporter platform that had no immediately identifiable source of power, at the apex of a curve in the hall. The air was tinged with grey, and from the way it shifted argued a dusty environment indeed, though it was quite breathable nonetheless. There were no signs at all that anything about the place was interactive. A faint humming could be heard, not like a machine's drone but like a voice attempting to sound out a song. The floor was thick with dust, and the bootprints of the Lor could be clearly seen, most of them wandering in the direction the hum appeared to be coming from. A soft tone like a pebble tapping against glass sounded, and a translated voice echoed around the facility over some kind of intercom system "Captain Mirta here, our sensors show no sign of harm to any of you in the atmosphere, is that accurate?"

DM3's TOU save: 28, destroyed. It's pieces go every which-way!

With a cry of pain as the stone sword and spear tore into him, breaking his fifth left rib through his armor, Marceau fell on one knee as the world dimmed, the voice of Gallu rolling into his ears like sand, causing a jolt of anger that subsided slowly as the nightmare sensation of what was happening rolled over him, and he glanced with effort at the two giants beside him. He heard, as if from a distance, the sound of the grapple line sliding back into its coiled state around the gun barrel-like grapple gun. The strange air around him wavering and ephemeral, the statues standing above him, and the terror of wondering how to fight such things(And fight them I must he told himself confusedly) without getting hacked to pieces made the idea of sinking into the pain of his broken rib and the sheer shock of the attack a deeply attractive one. It was the sudden reminder that he was the only person around at the moment who could do anything, no matter how little, against the abruptly ambulatory statuary that jolted him out of his funk. With a burst of willpower he forced himself jerkily to his feet, and sent a bola whirling around the legs of the statue bearing the spear. With awkward movements, he raced to the side of the Arc least occupied by murderous statues, and threw one of his razor-edged cards into the stone beside Frederick, shouting down to him <"Quick! Free yourself, and call this house"> he gave the number of Marcel's home in shouted gasps, then turned to the statues and tensed himself for the fight...

"Huh, what?!" Subito started at the question before regaining his composure "Oh, those birds? I just didn't expect any around this time of year for some reason, y'know" resuming his more measured pace, he thought over what Serge had said, saying eventually "I'm glad someone knows who you are and what you do outside the school Serge; don't get me wrong it's a fine place, but I'll bet that if the only people who knew my secret I.D. were in the school I'd end up pretty dang lonely" he leaned forward slightly, scanning a passing hillock moated with a frozen pond for any signs of a cave "Nice to be able to tell someone else about what's happening and get a different perspective on it, you know?"

Okay, Dazed means Marcy can't take any actions, so I suppose I'll use a HP to remove the condition, and then try out a Snare(from the Equipment list) on the Spear Statue. Attack roll: 16 REF save is DC14, should that hit. Move Action to get to one of the sides that is Statue-free. Free Action to toss a Razor Card down to Frederick, and to tell him to call the address of Marcel's house.

Subito laughed along with Serge at first, charging briskly through the deathly-quiet forest, sending jets of displaced snow everywhere in his rapid stride, eyes alert and quick as a bird's as he scanned the surrounding trees for any sign of a likely cave. As they went on, however, he began to realize the trouble his friend was having matching his stride, and so slowed down by increments until he sheepishly muttered "Er..sorry Surge. got a bit overexcited I guess" The reduction in speed seemed to do a lot of good, he reflected; mostly because now that they weren't hurrying they had more time to enjoy the still, murmuring woods, and could be more relaxed and casual in their search without any risk of missing the tell-tale signs of such burrows and excavations. As they walked, Subito recalled Serge's joking mention of 'personal trainer' "That would be my family, actually" he grinned widely "They never let me forget when I need to practice, Rodrigo mentions constantly when I slack off in my training that I'm not at my usual edge, and my sister makes me hold the punching bag still when she uses it, which is a bit dangerous actually" he frowned a bit, but shrugged it off "By the way..haven't heard much about your folks Serge, why's that?" he stopped his search to look inquiringly at the other boy, flinching when a murder of crows passed suddenly overhead in a riot.

Thanks Vahn! And yes, the Knockback is handy to know about. DC28 TOU check: 19 That kills it right there, smashed beyond recognition, the pieces go flying 500ft.

"Diego, wai-!" Subito stopped his yelling as realization struck him: make too much of a ruckus and it would make eyebrows raise all about. Best to make things look other than they were. Tossing his backpack onto the dock he dug his heel into the wooden planks before bolting off after the retreating Mexican, the dock shaking under his thunderous footfalls. Overtaking him, he shouted out "I'll get it for you Mr. Cruz, won't take a moment!" as he spoke he gripped the flag he always carried stitched between the layers of his shirts, calling out in his heart to the Blue Dame -Oh Dame! I need your power to help a friend, and many others besides The answer came with its grim finality It is granted The flash of his erupting power masked by the dark water of the harbor, he flew gracefully under the yacht used by Diamond for whatever nefarious purposes had given rise to all those rumors about Danielle Sellidra and the "smuggling hair". Putting his shoulder to the keel, he pushed against it, forcing the boat to a dead stop while the flagpole he bore searched diligently through the water for some random artefact that might justify his throwing himself into the water. Finding a random wristwatch(which by some miracle still functioned perfectly) on the harbor bed, he pocketed it and waited for the engine to shut off, which came quite soon after the apparent collision. Leaving the boat behind, he flew through the murky depths, evading the dock pillars, moored yachts and other small craft, and slid out of the water onto an arm of the dock dozens of yards from where he had jumped in. Dispelling the gift of power, he jogged back to Diego and Kristin, tossing the watch to the other man. "Got it, sorry for the wait" he said brightly, jerking his head at the boat and waggling his eyebrows at Kristin.

Wondering if it wouldn't be counterproductive to actually damage the boat. If so that would necessitate repairs(and maybe even cause other problems), while just stopping the boat for a moment to make the guys think something's wrong has the desired effect and doesn't leave too many problems to my mind. I'll go with that.

Right you are, DC is 30, sorry for the mix-up. TOU check: 25. So close! And Order, just to be on the safe side(for me). Steeljacket II Glow: 1HP Net-Fly: 1HP Arcturus: 2HP Steeljacket I El Heraldo: 1HP
-
Yep! Also: all HPs renewed due to the break from combat. Steeljacket 2 Attacks Glow with it's Blast. Roll: 21 If that hits, a DC28 TOU save please.

Subito had been entirely relaxed during their short break, making small-talk with Marcus and Kristin while watching Serge out of the corner of his eye to make sure his friend didn't go into any more bouts of self-recrimination. "I'm with Kris on that one" he had agreed "I think it would be best if me, you and Serge focused on one of the next ones, I don't think we're powerful enough to do much good individually like you are Marc" As they had left the small break room he had called again on the power of the Blue Dame, and again walked eagerly into the ring in his bright costume... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You'll pay for that!" he bellowed as the hologram punched Serge. Dashing forwards, he struck with as precise a punch as he could muster at that moment, snarling under his breath as the robotic simulation simply stood there and took it, with no effect visible.

GM Net-Fly's assault was watched with unamused intensity by the robotic target, its limbs and body moving subtly to avoid the near-misses that might have been as fatal to its chassis as a full-on hit. Arcturus's hands, blazing with the power of the Beast Rune, slashed and scored at the armor plate of the new adversary with commendable power. However, these were substantially tougher customers than the last holographic bunch, and the blow simply knocked the robot from side to side. Ignoring the surer-footed enemy before it, the Steeljacket's thrusters burned with blue fire as it shot up to Net-Fly, and its single eye narrowed to a point as it slammed its fist into the harnessed body of the young hero, its anachronistic exposed pistons driving its clublike fist with unshakeable power.

Actually Granspear, that hits! It's DC20(if I read Arcturus's DC Block correctly) TOU check time: 28, withstood. Turn of the first Steeljack. Actually, Vahn's onto something, I'll call them Steeljackets instead. He will zip forwardss using Flight to close the distance between itself and Net Fly, and shall punch at him. The Attack: 24. If that hits, DC19 TOU check. Heraldo shall Accurate Attack(+3 to hit, DC21) the Steeljacket 1 with his fists. 22, which hits. DC21 TOU check: 29, made and to spare. End Round One.

Alright then, change of plans. Subito will Move All-Out to get into the water before Diego, yelling something like "I'll get it!", and once submerged he'll use his powers to get to the underside of the boat, stop it for a moment while he gets some random nick-nack from the dock bed, and once the engine is shut off so people can get a look at what's going on he'll slip off and bring the random item to Diego, pretending to observers that it was something of the other man's that dropped in the water. Then, once Kris has some window of sneaking aboard, he'll resume his place underneath the boat... That soundd much more sensible in my head somehow.
-
ROUND THREE! Same order as previous minus Metas 2 & 4. Dark Metal 3 will Move to 110ft. above the boat(previous elevation was 20ft.) into the air, and Begin a Slam against Fulcrum. 12, rolled a 1 so critical miss. Meta 5 attacks Dark Metal 2: 14, miss. Fulcrum's up.
-
Yikes indeed... Rolls: 15, 22. I'll re-roll the first one, if that's alright. Burning HP: 22. So by my estimate that's two Bruises and a Dazed condition, right?

There was an incredibly awkward silence as Marceau realized that he would never be able to fight the statues(if fight them he must, and that seemed to be the way things were going!) with Frederick lying about, an easy target and in danger of being stepped on if nothing else. Whipping out his trusty grapple gun, he fired it at Fred to get a grip on his corpulent form, gave a mighty heave to push him over the edge of the Arc while shouting out earnestly <"Sorry for any bumps Fred! But I need to get you out of here!">, and proceeded to let out the line as slowly as he dared, wincing a little at the soft *thump* of the fat man hitting the hard stones below. This required no little concentration on his part, and required moreover that he expend most of his energy keeping the grapple gun from flying out of his hands, making him a terrifyingly easy target...
-
Quite well, in which case I'll put up a post as soon as I am able.
-
Very well. First thing to do is to get the Bound J-U D out of(immediate) danger. Shooting the Grapple Gun(Free Action?) at him to get a hold, then pushing him off(Move Action?) the edge and using its Slow Fall power to get him safely to the ground(Standard Action?). Does that scan?
