    Have A Cigar!(OOC)

I beg your pardon for the week-long delay. Driogano UB up, does the smart(er, anyway) thing and moves 20ft. away and takes another shot at Omen. Attack roll is: 20. That misses. Okay, Round Five begins. Omen: Unharmed Kos: Unharmed Quarrel: Unharmed(Skipping him most likely due to his hiatus) Driogano underboss
  2. Okay, so: using TK to throw an object as an improvised weapon you add the rank of your TK as if it were your STR bonus. So DoomBot's roll vs. DC22: 17, failed by 5!A Bruise and a Dazed condition is added. EDIT: Actually, a FORT-Immune enemy can only suffer Lethal damage. So that DoomBot is blowed up.
  3. That hits. Opposed Grapple check 9. Quite possibly some of the weakest simulations of a robot ever made!

    High Bar Topics(OOC)

Hey Azuth! If you have the time, you're totally up!
  5. GM The punch flew through the air, violet energy crackling off of it in sudden arcs, and it collided dead-on with the Doom Room training robot's head. Sadly, the punch had little effect, merely causing the thing to sway for an instant. Turning its single eye on Arcturus, the holographic robot beside the one attacked by Marcus raised its left arm, bringing it around it a hooking motion to try and punch Marcus in the side of the head. It it hid solidly, the metal club of its limb smashing into the (somewhat)senior's head with deadly force. The other two, seeing the isolated target, began to close in on Marcus...
  6. DoomBot#2's Attack roll: 20, hits. TOU DC is 18. Glow's up.
  7. GM Cowed by the display of impenetrability, the four moved quickly to their work, opening the coffins and releasing the captured supers from their shackles, bindings and 'cuffs. Soon the once-imprisoned metas were stretching their aching necks, chatting quietly amongst themselves about who the agents might be working for, and how they had been discovered when they themselves didn't know they had powers. They were quite amazed to learn that two heroes had so quickly learned of their plight, and raised a cheer when El Heraldo mentioned that Fulcrum was carrying them to land. At Subito's request, they happily took custody of the weapons stockpile, and helped him keep watch over the agents. They got about two thirds of the way to the dock when the blazing lance of energy slammed into the water a few feet from the fore of the boat. Its firer, who by the dents reflecting the light appeared to be one of the robots that had fled a short time ago, sailed coolly down out of the sky, the lighted eyes of two others following it. Otherwise, they were almost invisible against the starry sky. With a soft roar of engines, two smaller robots came towards the aft, which in contrast to their EVE-like compatriots were..somewhat more human-looking. The reaction of the agents upon seeing the matte-black machines was quite unexpected: sheer terror. Almost as one they yelled desperately "Shoot! Shoot them! Get to the cannons and kill them before they kill us!" the supers didn't have to be told twice, and with a few shouted words of instruction the cannons were beginning their charge sequences. The robots didn't appear to be very concerned with that, focusing on El Heraldo and Fulcrum with cold intensity in their orange eyes.
  8. Another Intimidate check, +2 circumstance bonus due to being totally impervious to their hand-held weapons. 17. Four opposing rolls(-2 due to aforesaid circumstances):14, 9, 8, 1. They comply.
  9. Shuddering slightly enough that it was hidden from the view of the boatload of agents, Subito glowered at the four who had shot at him(and especially at the two who had hit), with a tone of ice he declared "You will regret that shortly. As will the rest of you for the greater evil and invasion you've done to these souls!" he pointed dramatically at the coffins about the boat "You four, open them AT ONCE, and release the prisoners from their bonds. I shall keep a close watch on all of you and make sure that none of you does anything beyond my commands. You six!" he turned and pointed at the ones moving generally aft "Drop your weapons onto a pile amidships, and sit in a circle next to the engine until we reach land" from the look on his face, it was pretty clear he wasn't going to take 'No' as a valid response.
  10. GM There was a stunned silence as the agents stared in bafflement(and no little surprise and fear)at the glowing creature before them. Six of them began to move towards the aft of the vessel, cowed by the threat, but four put hand to metal and drew out their rifles, firing from the shoulder at the seemingly impossible to miss target of El Heraldo. As it was, half the metal bursts flew harmlessly past him, while the other half ripped large holes in his coat but did nothing at all to hurt Sunito. There was another silence as the six moving aft gave reproachful looks at the very sheepish rebels. Regardless of these events, the boat slid smoothly through the air, a light(if clumsily top-heavy)weight to Fulcrum. The red haze from the cannon shots dimming, replaced by the close darkness of familiar night.
  11. Those who resisted will now try to shoot El Heraldo. Their Attack rolls(DC20 TOU check if any of them hit): 13, 14, 11, 16. Two hits, but because EH has Impervious 5 on his TOU and the Soldier archetype has a +5 damage bonus, they don't do anything.
  12. That hits, due to Some Joker giving the 'bots a +0 DEF bonus. TOU check(assuming DC20): 26, that thunder-punch does nothing, I'm afraid.
  13. Putting here the stats for the Trainer Combots from the 2ed Crooks! book. Trainer PL5 STR 17(?) Seal of Sedna(IC)

GM Ironclad was granted almost unrestricted access to the(surprisingly clean and well-maintained)engineering 'runs' of the Discoverer, those areas being called so because of their being much less centralized than on terrestrial or Khanate vessels, this being(as the chief engineers were happy to divulge)due to occasions in the days of early expansion, the Republic had often found that any kind of centralization seemed to lead inevitably to either crippling of their ships or else factionalism of the crews on the year-long treks to and from star systems. Even the formation of what translated out to 'wagon trains' of convoys that routinely switched out crewmembers had done little to help. The current design, by contrast, kept everyone almost constantly in touch with each other, vastly reducing the risk of mutinous "They don't know what it's like to..."'s. The engineering runs were almost cramped with the rhythmically pulsating tubes, vast banks of heavily-shielded terminals, and sleek cold-fusion reactors to power the myriad of engines spread throughout the ship(centralization of engines had been an enormous problem in the past). Ironclad was alternately given a wide berth, or embraced as a comrade in science seemingly at random, the general opinion of the Earthlings appearing to be highest among the lower ranks. The one thing Ironclad wasn't allowed to investigate was the central data processor, in large part because none of its overseers thought the armored heroine would be quite delicate enough to leave it as pristine as it needed to be when an Admiral was aboard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quintessence had a much quieter time of it, with most of the crew working in the astronomy sections(dotting the 'top' of the ship in small bubbles)carefully avoiding approaching beyond eight feet or so of the enhanced human. Unlike Ironclad's rapport with the engineering crew, the astronomers gave every impression of seeing James as a highly interesting thing, and the ease with which his searches came across information gathered by the Lor about the Preservers was almost uncanny... Aside from that, his own research proved quite informative. As best as the Lor could tell, the Preservers were quite possibly the first internally-begun civilization in the universe(though they appeared to be younger than the other-worldly races that came before them and left even fewer clues). They had had an incredibly vast domain at one time, with relics of their existence detectable in every arm of the Milky Way, with strong clues that hinted that they may have once dominated territory in other galaxies though no proof of that had yet been found. According to careful examination, the Lor had discovered that all of their disparate kinds were related somehow, and that the Preservers might very well have had a hand(at least)in their origin, and undoubtedly had spread them to their(so far numbered)hundreds of homeworlds. However, so far the original stock that they all came from had evaded discovery, with a dizzying list of potential worlds listed. Earth wasn't on the list, as the humans were officially considered a sub-set of Lor, with a substantial number of arguments made that it was some lost colony or other. It was a strange sight to see politics and anthropology married so closely to a science like astronomy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Supercape's sleep was entirely uneventful, the throbbing of the reactors dotting the ship doing wonderfully to soothe even the most agitated. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next 'morning', the four were once again in the Mission Room with Capt. V. Mirta, who was greatly apologetic. "I'm sorry for not warning you beforehand visitors, but I had had a family meeting in the Parade Hall only last week and Admiral Kalf has a penchant for sneaking up on people, otherwise I would have mentioned its garish state" she smiled hopefully "I trust you managed to keep him from ranting?"
  15. Alright, so Grappling the old 'shroom, Attack roll: 32. Grapple check is: 28
  16. Choking on the cloud of gas and flies he had brought about, Marceau wheezed through the now nearly suffocating mask, glaring at the old woman shouting in Latin(or at least where he supposed she might be), an almost desperate anger at her for doing this causing him to leap forward on an impulse to try and shut her jaws, on the vague idea that doing so would prove the needed trick to stop whatever power she was using, though a sneaking suspicion that it would require more than that stop her kept him from racing off into the wider streets, where whatever she was capable of might endanger even more people. Yelling over the droning roar of the perishing swarm, Marceau barked <"Everyone out! Get out of here, I'll deal with this!">, directing this demand to anyone still inside, especially the surprisingly durable and persistent butcher.
  17. Subito wasted hardly a second gaping at the robotic terrors before him, instead erupting in a flood of golden light that shone like a veritable lighthouse beacon. Raising his Bandera over his head, he shouted aloud "Come, my friends, let us bring our FULL POWER to bear against these metal terrors, and prove we can fight as one!" his words(despite themselves)seemed filled with an entirely real power, filling the small group with a previously diminished feeling of energy and strength. It seemed that whatever he had done left him spent, as he took a moment to get his breath back after the mystical exertion.
  18. You know what's really great? The times my memory works. Revising order..
  19. ..So you did, my apologies. So round one begins, order is El Heraldo: 21, Unharmed Arcturus; 18, Unharmed DoomBot#2: 10, Unharmed Glow: 10, Unharmed DoomBot#1: 9, Unharmed Net Fly: 7, Unharmed DoomBot#4: 7, Unharmed DoomBot#3: 5, Unharmed DoomBots begin combat 20ft.(6.096 meters)away from the heroes. Take it away, Vahnyu! EDIT'd: My turn actually, due to brain-fumble I forgot the tie-breaker wasn't a 'new' init. roll. His actions will be to take a full action to expend one Hero Point and use his Inspire feat to fill his allies with all kinds of good cheer and suchlike, +4 bonus to all attack rolls, saving throws and checks for the folowing round.
  20. Scuff, need to roll your tie-breaker still.
  21. Alright, so EH is going to try and scare the agents into getting away from the guns and crates, and to the aft of the boat for easy corralling: 11 Opposing Will check: 6, 13, 21, 7, 8, 15, 3, 7, 13, 10, so all but four of them are sufficiently intimidated.
  22. El Heraldo stared in utter amazement as Fulcrum lifted the entire boat out. Of the water and began to tow it to shore, his earlier tension at hearing the horrible roar of the cannons melting away. Hurriedly pushing aside the awe, he sped towards the boat, calling to Fulcrum "I'll try to restrain the guys on the boat", adding shamefacedly "A little redundant, I know, but I don't want them pushing any of those crates into the sea" That said, he quickly made his way to the boat where he appeared in a blaze of gold, thundering to the strange agents "Surrender! The mighty FULCRUM has you all in hand, and if you make any moves that are NOT in the direction of the aft of this little boat, I will administer her displeasure unto the entirety of your party!" he scowled as ferociously as he could at them, adding as much 'boom' to his voice as he could manage.
  23. Marceau had been about to take and pay for the meat when the hideous swarm came out of the old woman's mouth in a black, buzzing torrent of what seemed to his startled mind pure evil. The cloud of flies didn't bother the young Frenchman as much as it might have someone who had never had to walk through a swarm of locusts, but he still hated it. Surprised as he was at the old lady's revelation of her true nature and affiliation he failed to close his eyes in time, and soon his entire body was crawling with flies! Swatting madly about himself, he seethed with rage at the woman who to his mind had just betrayed every human in the vicinity by allying with a demon. But that was something to repay later, he thought furiously, first he had to either get rid of the flies or else make his escape. As they crawled about him, Marceau could feel the all-too familiar feeling of sickness about him. At present, the diseased creatures failed to impart anything his immune system wasn't capable of repelling, as he didn't seem to have gotten any worse than before. Still, he needed a way to kill or subdue the mass about him, maybe smoke? His 'smoke bombs' might suffice to suffocate the tiny things...holding his breath, he took a smoke bomb and threw it to the ground, its dark vapors rising up in a cloud that began to fill the cramped ship.
  24. Yeah, as you both have the same DEX score you'll have to roll a tie-breaker, here's Combot#2's: 14] And because I forgot earlier, Heraldo's: 21
