Order: Redshift: Unharmed-GM Prism: Unharmed, 2HP Omegadrone(x1): Unharmed-GM Gauss: Unharmed, 3HP Omegadrone 3 makes an attack on the now badly-damaged lead car: 27. Roll of 20 vs Defence +8, Critical hit. DC28 Toughness save: 17. Failed by 11. Disabled, Injured. Gauss's next shot misses the 'drone.
  2. Round 5 Omegadrones 1 and 3 both fire on the damaged lead car, both miss. Gauss's second shot hits the more damaged 'drone. DC22 Toughness save: 9. Failed by 13, Omegadrone 3 is killed.
  3. Moving right along. Round 4, Omegadrone 1 makes an attack on the more damaged of the lead cars: 22, hits. DC23 Toughness save: 19, failed by 4, Bruised and Injured again, both (x2). Omegadrone 3 also takes a shot at it: 16. Miss. Rattled brainbox will do that. Gauss's first shot misses.
  4. Rolling for Notice, Knowledge(Civics/Current Events/HistoryPhysical Sciences) or Sense Motive wouldn't hurt, and checking out the pile of rubble will move things along.

DC14 Dexterity check: 6. Strike one! Will post in a second, please make another.
  6. GM "Where" was one of the deeper stretches of the Undercity across the river. A friendly man in flannel, jeans and a greying, thinning ponytail who called himself "Benjie" Carver had translated John's somewhat more poetical directions through a precise knowledge of the Emerald City Undercity. When Citizen had arrived at the entrance to the overbuilt original Old West harbor, Benjie happened to be around and more than happy to guide Sharl. Though as they walked down dirt city streets and wooden sidewalks by looming wooden buildings wholly alien to the gleaming metropolis above, many of them refurbished for tourist attractions and chic out-of-the-way eateries, they'd kept very carefully to the best-lit and cleanest blocks. There were darker roads down which Sharl briefly glimpsed scattered encampments and circles of sleeping bags, clustered around dim lamps or shrouded in blue luminescent cloth. Benjie kept up a formidable level of history-flavored patter all the while, pointing out old crime scenes, areas that the city had rebuilt after a series of floods in 1960, even providing several recent anecdotes of giant robot sightings by the local homeless ppopulation. "Here we are! Corner of First and Endernity streets. John's group was around here. When he talked to me about it, he showed me these," the guide pointed at a line of tread tracks, two of them, four feet across and churned deep into the ancient delta soil, "and got real snippy when I mentioned automated excavators are a thing, and the city has been planning with Marstech to work on a subway to Seattle." Benjie smiled awkwardly "Far as I know, anyway. Don't suppose you can see anything suspicious?" The treads skirted the edges of the Undercity lights, arcing away into what was to Benjie Carver the utter darkness of a pile of rubble.
  7. GM Skral's mandibles buzzed against the suit's voiceplate. Some of the eyes twitched to survey the dragon. "I'm no hunter, sage, but I can understand the enormity of all this weighing on a mind. I think that's why Draz-Fel went up against this thing. The refugees...they haven't had such strange stars around them for a long time. Starting over, plotting against these 'imposters' they keep talking about when they think I can't hear them, dealing with us and our problems and all the people who look at them and see something to exploit, a single, isolated and powerful opponent must seem tempting." He shrugged, "Either way, if he's dead he's dead. Transport is ready when you are."

Okay. Make a Dex+Str 1d20 roll, Cape, and Black Diamond will attempt to surprass it.
  9. GM The next few moments were a blur, the lanky, inhuman figure of Mannequin running and leaping between cars as he sent out lashing claws skyward, raking and scything at the wavering, birdlike shapes of the Omegadrines high overhead. Intent on the cars beneath them, the 'drones ignored the barrages to their loss. One was caught in a constricting glob of goo that shorted out its howling jetpack, sending it hurtling the ground just in time to catch a searing blast from the light-wielding Prism, its wail of pain cut short as another crackling claw silenced them forever. Seemingly blind and deaf to their own peril, the 'drones continued to fire on the convoy, one screaming whip of destruction slicing and sizzling through a car's corner, a wheel flying off and crashing through an abandoned house. The people inside screamed, but they didn't dare to stop even as their car rocked and scraped on. Another rain of light, another claw of storms, and another 'drone fell crashing down, its jetpack sputtering and whining pitifully before the wretched thing fell into the bed of a pickup truck, crashing straight through onto the road, luggage and what few personal things the family driving it could grab falling out with it. One of the passengers jumped out, trying to grab for whatever he could. Catching Mannequin's eye, the old man waved the hero over. "Hey! We need some help!" Glancing at the remaining 'drones, then at Prism, Mannequin dashed off to help get the couple's cargo onto another vehicle. Aloof and aloft, the remaining flying 'drone's arcing whip tore up asphalt, a bliding spray of grit and oily rock clatterin at the windshields of the convoy's lead.
  10. Okay. New initiative order: Prism: Unharmed, 2HP Omegadrones(x2), Unharmed(x1), Staggered(1x1), Bruised(1x2), Injured(1x2)-GM Gauss: Unharmed, 3HP I'll post for the Omegadrones and Mannequin's actions, @Thunder King and @Azuth65 would you post Prism's actions and Gauss's arrival?
  11. @Azuth65 Gauss is still in Claremont, right? Or just in school in general, So some kind of school trip would still be something in her life?
  12. @Tarrakhash Yes, to reiterate from Discord, it's just the day of the year, not some special super-hype eventuality or locale. Just one if those normal snowstorms in late June. For sakes, I'd say one or two other PCs would be neat but your call.
  13. @Azuth65 Hey Azuth, how do you feel about underground robot civilizations?
  14. Hey @Tarrakhash How do you feel about Dara Tiagara dealing with a winter storm on the Summer Solstice?
  15. Round 3 Shock Punch and light blast miss, Omegadrone 1 is Dazed and takes no action, Omegadrone 3 blasts at the Injured lead car yet again: 8. Missed again. Next three rounds, please.
  16. Round 2: Mannequin: Unharmed, 1HP Prism: Unharmed, 2HP Omegadrones(x2): Unharmed(x2)-GM Lead Cars(x6): Unharmed(x5), Injured(x1)-GM Mannequin's Shock Grasp hits, DC25 Toughness save: 22. Failed by 3, Bruised and Injured(x1). Prism's light blasts hit, exceeds Defense by 9. DC25 + 4, DC29 Toughness save: 16. Failed by 13, Staggered, Dazed, Bruised(x2), Injured(x2) Omegadrone #3 attacks the Injured lead car: 8. Miss. Round 3 will follow in a moment.
  17. First hit hits(assuming this is the same one Mannequin Snared and grounded). Surpasses Defence by 6, so +3 to DC, makng it a DC28 Toughness save: 14. Failed by 14, -1 from the Injury makes that a 13, so failed by 15. Already Staggered, so the 'drone is killed. Two left, who make further attacks on the convoy, vs. 18 Defence: 23,25, both hit. DC23 Toughness saves: 29, 14. One withstands, the other is Injured(x1). Round 1 done, next rounds will be posted in a moment.
  18. @Vorik Yes, that makes sense to me. It falls to ground level.
  19. 14, 9, 8 on the DC19 Reflex save to avoid the attack. 20, 20, 17 on the Reflex save to avoid being Snared. One Entangled. -2 to Reflex saves and Defence.
  20. GM Like hideous bird-calls, the power-pikes of the Omegadrones hissed and screamed as they unleashed a devastating barrage of consuming energy, tendrils of black with red cores lashing among the leading cars. Before the horrified eyes of both the convoy's protectors and the refugees, the tendrils carved through fiberglass and steel alike as if through water, slicing chunks from the vehicles that flew out like shrapnel. But the haste and uncontrollable power coursing through the power pikes proved a blessing in disguise. Despite the swerves and screams, and the inhuman howling of the wretched creatures in the blood-and-bone armor of the Terminus, the attack didn't hit anything vital and totally missed anyone inside the cars. People stared up at the drones, glancing between them and the two heroes, steeling themselves for the next attack.
  21. In that case, Round list: @Vorik : Mannequin: Unharmed, 1HP @Thunder King : Prism: Unharmed, 2HP Omegadrones(x3): Unharmed(x3)-GM Yes, the 'drones are counted as metal objects due to the extensive cybernetic enhancements. Make three rounds' worth of actions, Attacks, Power Stunts, whatever you think most useful. The 'drones can be considered to be directly above you, 300ft up.
  22. GM "Oh, none at all!" Jay's voice said. Her face and eyes, however, said something more along the lines of "Well, this too will pass". Lady Tarot looked between them. "Now that...that is dealt with, here is what I know: Our Lady of Mercy, that is, the mission from our time, was built to assuage the hunger of Freedom City's poorest and most wretched. A building has no soul, but its builders do. Find some way to bring the old Mother Superior and the mission's architect back to this world and you can bind the church to our reality." "Hopefully they won't be stuck here forever," Jay commented mildly, "be a shame if that was the only way to keep that thing from wandering again." "The names are Elizabeth Jacket and Francis Green. They're buried in Lantern Hill Cemetary, in mausoleums bought by the faithful of St. Sebatstian's. " Lady Tarot gathered her cards, shuffling them briskly with one hand while she pressed something on her desk "Now, D and N will show you out and to your car. I expect you already know how to drive." The door clicked open to admit two other towering men in long coats. They stood on either side of the door, waiting patiently.
  23. Good evening. Tonight we're using these falcons: https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/topic/3892-aas-oddballs/?do=findComment&comment=161183 For sake, the falcon numbers will be placed here: Their falcon initiative: 11. As they have overcome your Perception they have a Surprise Falcon Round. They attempt to block the road by shooting the leading cars: Using Full-Size Car from the Core Rules for this, DEF of +8 and TOU of +9. Their Attacks: 18, 17, 22. So two hits and one miss. Those hit make DC23 TOU saves: 28, 24. 6 cars in the lead, you need to keep at least 1 lane clear so the wreckage isn't impossible to readily deal with. @Vorik @Thunder King Give your Initiative rolls and first three rounds of actions for the encounter, please.
  24. Sure, sounds good to me, AA. Some of the other new folks could be good for that to help backup Prism. Maybe one of the new Freedom League folks to be the general leader. Like Gabriel? @KnightDisciple?
