  1. Arc moved with a surprising amount of precision for a beast his size, and he reached forward to grab the werewolf, leaving his staff on the ground while wrapped his huge furry arms around the beast. It thrashed in protest but it wasn't going anywhere. It was clearly in a murderous frenzy, but he didn't want to dispatch the thing right away... He wanted to know where it came from. His mind turned, for a moment to the three dogs he'd scared off earlier... ...nah. Couldn't be. "HEY! If you don't calm down, you're gonna get REAL intimate with a tree, understand?!" The threat only garnered more thrashing from the beast, unable to strike back with the enormous bear holding his arms against his body. It wasn't going anywhere, but that wasn't going to stop it from trying, jaws snapping between barely intelligible words. Arc was pretty sure he heard 'kill' in there somewhere, among other things--none of it was encouraging. He huffed, tall enough that his grip was holding the snarling beast off the ground. Ark looked at Rene, a single furry eye ridge raised. "You alright over there?"
  2. Actually, I think Arc's just gonna grab this guy. Grapple for the win!
  3. He blinked at Supercape as he suddenly appeared in front of him, a little startled by the distortion of air around him. "How did you j-... never mind." He looked around; it had been a fair amount of time since he'd changed; hours had passed before he even realized how tired it all made him. It took a lot more concentration than usual, but he managed to change himself back to his human form. Marcus extended his hand out towards him. "Thanks for the tour, Mr... ah..." He absently realized that he hadn't really properly introduced himself; Supercape had known he was coming and everything just ran away from him after that... "Maybe I could come back one of these days and do some real combat training, since I can't really do it at the Academy."
  4. And Arc takes a shot at Corbin! 1d20+7=26
  5. This is gonna get out of hand really, REALLY fast. Arcturus picked up another huge paw full of snow. This time, though, he didn't drop any of it, flashing that big, toothy grin of his, even as the newcomer came flying over. Rather than chase Etain, he hurled the huge snowball at the closest target--Corbin. And then, he ran like hell.
  6. "HEY! Paws off the old man!" Arcturus moved back, just enough to avoid a swing aimed at him by the other conscious werewolf. Focusing on Rene's attacker, Arcturus crossed the distance between them and threw a hard, sweeping hook at the beast's head. He definitely wasn't pulling any punches.
  7. Ah! In that case, taking 10 to take a swing at the one who went after Rene.
  8. I think I'd definitely be up for this. :)
  9. Attack roll for Arc: 1d20+9=21
  10. Arcturus was certain that Rene was deliberately trying to drive him insane. He was admittedly pretty twitchy, although that was actually more of his human mannerism. The beast within was virtually unaffected by Rene's rambling... until he smelled something. Gripping his staff in his right hand, he saw them charging--werewolves. Or at least, what he assumed were werewolves; his normally analytical curiosity was replaced by the realization that there were three snarling, clawed beasts charging at him and Rene. He was surprisingly adept at using his staff and spun it over his head, charging forward before taking a baseball-like swing at one of the werewolves, aiming to crack the thing right over the head with the rune-etched quarterstaff.
  11. Arc's Initiative: 1d20+5=20
  12. 1d20+6=23 And Arc smells it coming! Yay!
  13. Marcus is not himself, so there's really not a whole lot he CAN do... or rather, nothing he WANTS to do. Of course, his body has other plans: 1) Fort save vs Paralyze (I probably should've done this on the rounds where he was slowed AND where he was paralyzed, but...): 1d20+12=23 Not quite enough vs DC27, so Arc's done for now, until his Will save comes up for the mind control.
  14. "Oh God, not underwater." He interrupted as he said that, making it abundantly clear that he didn't want any part of an underwater simulation. "You can leave those safety protocol thingies right where they are..." Arc shrugged. "What you see is about all I've got. I mean, there's the whole magic bit, but I can't really do a whole lot with it." He frowned. Even he wasn't sure if it was just a lack of confidence or an actual lack of power; he'd tried learning the spells from his mother's book, but the process was long--made longer by the fact that he needed reference books just to make heads or tails of it. The only real boon he'd gained from it all was that he was surprisingly well versed in magical theory, but that was the only thing it was in the end: theory.
  15. "Yeah, it reminds me of... well, me." He lifted an arm and sniffed at himself. "No, it's not me... Definitely smelling something hairy though. It'd have to be big to be this strong..." He paced around a little bit, understandably impressed with himself as the dogs fled. He wished he could at least attempted communication with them, but this worked just as well, he supposed. He tried to pick up some sort of trail, sniffing at the air before settling on a direction. "I think I know where to go now... We'll rest here until you're ready. Let me know if I need to carry you or somethin'..." He didn't really want to, but he figured he may as well offer. Arc had his doubts about whether or not his newest ally was really up for a longer wilderness hike, and already he was thinking about the trip back...
  16. "Gah!" Arcturus lands on his rear, wincing a little bit. It wasn't a far fall, comparatively speaking, but still unpleasant nonetheless. He stood up, scratching at the back of his neck. Supercape really was the picture of the 'absent-minded professor', but he was far too nice for Arc to hold that against him. After all, he didn't think there were that many outside of the Academy who would really put up with him. "Yeah, sure, I'm fine..." He wondered if the training simulator at the Academy was anything like this one...
  17. Arc throws at Etain! 1d20+7=19
  18. "...wow. Are you two serious?" He wondered where Crow had disappeared to. In fact, he wondered how he'd gotten up on the roof so fast. Corbin's mortar definitely raised an eyebrow; it was a pretty impressive trick, and he laughed... until Etain beaned him with a snowball. He blinked as he shook snow from the back of his otherwise bald head, staring blankly at Etain as she giggled and ran... He smirked. "Oh, you're gonna need to run faster than that." Moving away from Corbin, the tell tale circle of magic spread outward from his feet and into a sphere around him. His form only blurred for a second, revealing the eight-foot menace that was Arcturus. He scooped up a rather large paw full of snow, flashing a mischievous and toothy grin. He dropped half of it; he wasn't about to throw a huge, basketball sized snowball at a girl. But he threw what was left all the same.
  19. 1d20+12=13 The dice hate me.
  20. Marcus really couldn't stop himself, though not for lack of trying. Being trapped inside of himself was like a horrific dream; as much as he disliked Stone, he didn't want to actually hurt him. Still not in control of his own body, he lunged forward, despite the field of energy slowing his movements down. His face was completely devoid of expression as he took another measured swing at Agent Stone, his staff gripped tightly in both hands...
  21. And Arc's next attack: 1d20+10=18
  22. Arc's Fort save: 1d20+12=23
  23. So it looks like I'm looking at Arc's attack for the surprise round: 1d20+10=17 ...and another one for his regular initiative: 1d20+10=15
  24. Arcturus's Initiative: 1d20+6=20
  25. "It's not them, it's... nngh..." Arcturus was clearly getting annoyed; he was trying to tune out the barking but it wasn't happening. He turned around, glaring daggers at the three stray dogs. "QUIET." He gripped his staff--it was nearly as tall as Arcturus himself, an it had transformed into something sturdy enough for him to use without breaking it. If nothing else, their incessant noise was going to attract even more unwanted attention...
