Getting shot at was really starting to get on Siphon's nerves, letting out a growl of frustration the power-thief charged further back towards the end of the line. Once within striking distance of the Dark Fist and his motorcycle he performed a chop at the wrist of the thug's gun hand, knocking the weapon loose to tumble to the street before looking the gang member right in the eye. "Bet when you guys use that Zoom crap you feel like Road Runner," he said, faking a conversational tone, "Guess you guys on the bikes are the coyote." He punctuated with another strike, knocking the punk off the bike which rode on for a few yards before slamming into a light pole. As he took off to resume the chase, the last thing the aching Dark Fist heard before passing out was, "Meep meep."

"On it!" Silver Spider replied, focusing on her gravitational powers to make the leap between herself and the last Deep One standing. She came down in with a devistating heelkick to the aquatic summon's head and quickly followed up with a leg sweep once her feet were back on the ground and to finish the fight she kicked him across the room. The web-slinging heroine glanced around the warehouse at the downed monsters, ruined ritual setup and her allies standing over the wreckage. "So... Anyone have an urge for sushi? Or is it just me?" she asked once it became clear the trio were nolonger in immediate danger of more combat.

Siphon managed to avoid the worst of the barrage of bullets, the super-speed he had copied from Velocity allowing him to move enough so the worst injury he had was a slight graze along one shoulder. Letting his pain and anger at being shot override his conscious thoughts for a moment, he turned and charged at the nearest of the Dark Fists brandishing their submachine guns. All but jumping into the man's face, he delivered a series of quick punches into the thug's chest. He would have prefered to go for the face but with his helmet covering his head that plan was a nonstarter. The punches caused the gangster to loose control of his motorcycle, falling to one side and skidding along the road. The crash looked worse than it felt for him though, given the heavy padding the gangster was wearing. He'd live but he was going to ache for a long while.

Velocity's strike sent the large man flying backwards and through the brickwall of the building across the street. His smaller companion looked quickly between the yellow-clad speedster and the man-shaped hole, her confidence shaken slightly. She had just enough time to call up her force field before Silver Spider swung down on a web-line to deliver a powerful kick into the New Freedonian's stomach, sending her crashing into a nearby parked car. "On second thought, stick around. I don't know about my checkered friend here but I certainly have some frustrations that need exercising." the silver and blue-clad woman said, assuming a defensive stance.

Growling at the mocking look on the Zoom-using Dark Fist's face, Siphon balled up his fists and dug deep into his stolen powers. But he was unoccustomed to moving at such speeds outside of a motorized vehicle and just could not keep up. The Dark Fist behind him however, who had foolishly tried to shoot him in the back, was going to have to do for a new target. The power-thief slowed slightly, bringing their speeds to match as they rounded the corner. As his unsuspecting victim came around, he found a hard-knuckled fist flying directly at his face. The impact sent a shock all the way up Siphon's arm but the Dark Fist's eyes rolled back into his head as he stumbeled and fell.

"My sentiments exactly," Silver Spider muttered to herself. Once the water cleared away once more at Temperance's command, the scientist raised both hands to unleash a pair of webbing streams at the sole remaining Deep One. At the same instant they connected, she focused on her power to reduce gravity's pull on her as she yanked hard on the cords. Flying towards her foe, she allowed gravity's pull to return to normal while flipping around to land heels first into the aquatic ritualist's form, its gurgling growl of pain telling the young lady she had certainly hurt the creature. Using the impact, she put a little extra flourish on her strike and backflipped away, landing gracefully on her feet with her hands raised in a defensive posture. "Are you going to actually throw a punch at some point? I'm actually getting bored beating you up without resistance," she called, her voice dripping with mockery.
-
From where she crouched on her haunches, Silver Spider nodded, "Sometimes the direct approach can be the most effective. But, I think the element of surprise will serve us best in this case given the hostages." Rising the older heroine shrugged, "That and, like you said, neither I nor my costume are very bullet resistant. Though, with some supplies from the shelved projects warehouse, I'm hoping to change that..." Leading the way towards the elevator, the scientist opened the doors and sprayed the wall they slid into down with a thick stream of webbing, holding the car in place at the rooftop level. "This should be of some assisstance. The less freely they can move about, the better for us."

Postaging coming soon. Life's gotten a bit hectic, expect something in about five-six hours when I get done with work .
-
With only one Deep One left, Silver's going to try a web-slinging clothesline... 1d20+9=27 And with her move-by, she's now standing on a wall a bit out of any retaliatory punchings.
-
And the result is a 15.
-
Yeah, Siphon's going to fall back a bit. 1d20+6=23, hurray.
-
Siphon zigged to his left, neatly dodging the burst of automatic gunfire from the vehicleless gang member. Unfortunately for him when he tries to zag back to punch the trigger happy thug, he almost stumbeled over a loose bit of asphalt, falling behind in the chase. Taking a deep breath, he charged forward, coming up alongside of him and swinging his right arm out to backhand him. The Dark Fist however, hopped up on speed enhancing drugs like he was, ducked the blow nimbly. Siphon growled as his fist did little more than ruffle the criminal's hair.

The pair of mercenaries pause and look at each other while Megan makes her escape. A good thing she had because as just after she rounded a corner, the hubcap the large man had been playing with flew through the air to embed itself halfway into the wall. A few seconds after getting to relative safety and privacy, a strand of silvery webbing dangeled inches from her face, her friend's voice coming from the rooftop, "Grab hold." After the blonde took the line, Silver Spider quickly pulled her friend to the rooftop. Once on the flat top she said, "One chance to get clear, enjoy your wardrobe change. Sorry for the less than steller changing rooms." After a quick check of her web cartridges, the masked woman jumped from the building's ledge and down towards the pair of New Freedonian mercenaries.

The reporter turned power-mimick lay awake, trying to sort out just how he felt about both the woman in his arms and the brunette who had been the first metahuman to offer her powers freely. He knew next to nothing about Velocity but was attracted to the idea of trying a relationship with a woman he could share the masked side of his life with. But Megan..., he had never dated anyone as smart and pretty as her. Kyle glanced over a mess of disheveled blonde hair to look at Megan's nightstand and saw her alarm read half past midnight. After their recent activities, he would normally be asleep but his mind kept racing. Next time we meet up for a patrol, Velocity and I need to have a long talk... he thought as he held himself closer to his sleeping girlfriend. And I should probably come clean about my powers to Megan he thought, his Hunger starting the weak rumblings of demanding satisfaction.
-
"You have a valid point in the how vs who debate," Kyle replied, "Given that I haven't enjoyed dancing as much as I did tonight in a long time." Glancing back at her bit of work space he nodded, "One evening I'm going to have to take get some supplies, a sherpa, and a climbing pick to climb mount Office Space. If you don't hear from me for a week, send help. I'll probably be stuck under an avalanche of energy drinks." After Megan had vanished, the former football player looked down at his hands, honestly surprised his Hunger had not stirred tonight. Am I gaining more control or are freely offered feedings somehow more effective? Either way, something to look into. And I should ask Vel if she's had any lingering effects after that second ti- Megans call disrupted his internal monologue and once he saw her outfit; any thoughts of Velocity or trying to study his powers further rushed from his mind at nearly matching speed. "Uh, wow...," was all he could manage for a second before moving closer. "Certainly the best I've ever seen of those unifroms."
