  1. Glow: 18, Unharmed, HP x3 >Silver Spider: 17, Unharmed, HP x3 Attack: 1d20+8=17 >Reflex save: 1d20+7=26 Full disclosure, our enemy tonight is based upon TT's awesome Angelic Vigilante build. Of the 12 they're fighting, 8 are versions without the Blessing or Sword arrays but are otherwise PL 6 versions of the build, the remaining four are as shown at PL 9. And now their init, 1d20+3=9 Oh sure, now IC flubs a roll... >Glow: 18, Unharmed, HP x3 Silver Spider: 17, Unharmed, HP x3 Iscariot mooks: 3, 8/12 disarmed.
  2. 1d20+4=16 And the assault rifles go skittering out of everyone's hands and under the pews.
  3. Peering into the gaping and still smoking, though thankfully not burning, edges of the door the pair of heroes could see the men and women breaking into four groups of three, one going down the center isle, one each moving down the outer walls, and one more heading up stairs near the entrance. At least two of the groups had one member carrying a crusader style sword on his back in addition to the more modern weapons of war they wielded. From the nearest group the duo could hear low, almost reverent chanting in Latin.
  4. Back in Hank's store, Silver Spider jumped against the wall and bounced from the landing onto and the ceiling before crawling along towards the office Towers had just burst out of, laying as flat as humanly possible to avoid being seen. Once just outside the door, she dropped down and in the blink of an eye had webbed Hank, Tower's lawyer and the rest of his entourage against the wall and, in Hank's case, the floor. Turning toward Bill and Ted she nodded her head back at the criminals, "They should be tied up for at least an hour. Secure the scene, make sure nobody goes in or out." When she noticed Jack raising his camera in her direction, she covered the lens with a blob of webbing, "No photos please." After that she pulled herself away one a line of web to catch up with Glow and Towers.
  5. At least all the Black Friday deals are just a couple days away.
  6. With a few last adjustments around the shoulders and flexing her fingers, Silver Spider slipped out behind Kristin. She leaped from the vehicle, focused on the slight buzzing sensation in her midsection whenever she used her powers. Using them to emit negative gravitons, she was able to jump out with so little effort the vehicle barely moved. Flipping once in mid-air she let fly a stream of webbing to pull herself towards the people who had just bombed the front doors of St George's Cathedral. She took a minute to observe once she was closer, hanging from a streetlight as the intruders moved through the charred ruins of the heavy wooden doors.
  7. Silver Spider's init: 1d20+9=17 Not-Iscariot Organization guys are unaware of the heroes given the smoke. Their init comes later...
  8. Jennifer did her best to give Kristin her privacy, focusing on strapping the web shooters around her wrists rather than taking the opportunity she was sure several of the boys at her school would cause much bodily harm for. After a minute her own dress sat next to the Australian's. "There are some perks to the company limos," Jen said with a smirk before pulling her mask over her head. Looking over at her companion, she commented, "You might want to tie the shirt a little along the bottom, it'll keep it from moving around too much." Once the duo had changed out of their dresses and into something more fitting for fighting, the arachnid themed woman opened the large moonroof, "After you."
  9. While Glow is off chasing down the guy shoving much of his paycheck up his nose, Silver Spider is going to have a chat with Hank in his office. Preferably webbing him to a wall before he can make like his client and unless super-speed havoc.
  10. Wisp shared a look with Blodeuwedd, amusement clear in her eyes before returning her focus to Elias. "Well folks, Subito raises a good point, Claremont is definitely the place to be if you're having a bit of telepathic overload. Fewer people and trained instructors," she said. A short burst of autumn wind swept across the rooftop, blowing her long white hair to the side and sinking chilled teeth under her uniform, "Personally, my vote is right for the cafeteria. The headmaster should be there and we can get you a solid meal. No offense Elias but you look like you've missed a few lately." Rising the young woman added, "As a bonus, I can have us there in under a minute."
  11. "No, not cops. Law enforcement tends to frown on religious displays while in uniform," Jen answered, as she turned away from the window before double checking that the opaque privacy divider was up. "And yeah, we probably will have to check on that. If nothing else, to keep anyone from getting caught in this mess." Jen slid off her seat and reached under it to pull a lever. With a slight click, the back of the seat slumped forward to reveal a small storage compartment holding a nondescript black backpack which she pulled out. "Actually, I do. I've installed these in several of my frequently used rides," she said pulling a pair of black pants and white shirt out. After passing them to Kristin she started pulling her own costume out, "All of these supply bags have my costume, web shooters, a spare set of civilian clothes, and a few other odds and ends tucked away in case of emergency."
  12. Once again, Silver Spider translated for Victory. "I would also like to check your armaments, a large part of my day job involves working on equipment for the nation's soldiers and law enforcement agencies." Turning her head towards Victory she wrapped her knuckles against his armored shoulders, "It wouldn't surprise me at all if something I worked on was inside your frame there Major." The young genius nodded, "Having overwatch can only be a good thing for us out there. Just keep us patched in and keep us up to date."
  13. Silver Spider stood back a ways from the water's edge, giving Temperance plenty of room to work. She might be a scientist but she was willing to accept there were just some things science just could not fully explain. She had certainly seen enough of it while doing to adventuring thing with her father. Instead of paying much attention to the other woman's, she wasn't sure but they sounded like prayers she had heard before somewhere in the southern pacific actually, she allowed her mind to drift a little as she considered upgrades to her costume and web shooters. When the turtle's head plopped out of the water, it took every bit of self control not to end up jumping ten feet straight up. 'Okay, I wasn't expecting that,' she thought as she let the aquatic duo play diplomat.
  14. As noted in Chat, since Kristin can skill mastery a 20 on the check, both ladies notice the crosses and red squares on the collars of most of the men charging into the church.
  15. Wisp had to bite back at chuckle at Heraldo and his attempts to flatter the Welsh girl. Guess he and Janis didn't work out. Such a shame, they'd have made a cute couple, she thought as she followed her friend's lead however and slowly took a seat on the roof, her back resting against an air conditioning unit. She made sure to keep her hands clearly visible. "My Puerto Rican patriot friend is correct, a villain with a phonebook or a smartphone capable of connecting to google could pretty much ruin a hero's life. Thus the masks and codenames," she said with an easy smile.
  16. Oh, almost forgot, grab Hard Magic by Larry Correia. Alternate history that as, an elevator pitch, is Great Depression-era X-Men.
  17. Depending on your enjoyment of zombie survival stuff, Day By Day Armageddon (as well as the sequel Beyond Exile) by J. L. Bourne is a solid choice. Helps that the books are written by an actual Naval officer. Again on the subject of the undead, check out Peter Clines' "Ex-" series. It's what Marvel Zombies should have been, superheroes acting heroically while fighting the undead.
  18. Well, let's a bit out of her move-action range... Can Wisp tell which direction did the missile come from, possibly spotting the helicopter?
  19. Roughly how heavy would you guess that missile is? Vicky has an idea...

    Being Yourself(IC)

"No worries, first person to try and throw a punch gets to walk home. From Hanover...," the white haired artist said, her tone and facial expression conveying that she didn't expect to have to make good on the mock threat. At Rodrigo's comments she nodded, "Much appreciated. My tablet just isn't good for grabbing pictures." As her fellow teenagers gathered themselves for a quick game of basketball, Vicky said "I'll meet you guys down on the court. Like I said, heels and my work clothes mix poorly with basketball." She vanished from her seat in the livingroom and after a few jumps and a couple minutes changing into shorts and a Chicago Bulls jersey her father had given her, trying ever so hard to get her into sports. A few minutes after leaving, she reappeared out of sight and made her way to the court. She was quietly impressed with Galanta's one-armed pull-ups, despite the fact she could bench-press weight in the neighborhood of a tank's, Galanta was vanilla human after all. "I vote for the foul line plan."
  21. And all I can picture is V going, "Remember, Remember, the 5th of November, the gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot."
  22. SC> except SS has quick change.
  23. After being knocked aside by Towers as though she were a giant bowling pin, Jennifer used the position she had been left in to her advantage, rolling back through a clothing rack before redirecting herself back towards the dressing rooms she had just seen Glow emerge from. Once inside she noticed the scattered and hastily discarded clothing as she began changing into her costume. Before she made her move to leave, she gathered up her clothes and what looked like Kristin's into their respective bags and attached them to the ceiling in twin blobs of synthetic webbing.
  24. Slapping a palm across her eyes before dragging it down her face, not even trying to be subtle about her reaction to his defeatist self-pity, she groaned before snapping, "I guess you listened to all of nothing of what I just said." She reached forward, grabbing his shoulders and leaving small hand-shaped dents when she let him go, "I didn't see any life boats so, start making them! Get everyone off this boat you clinking, clanking, clattering collection of caliginous junk!" Glancing over at her teammate she sighed, "Myr, I don't suppose you've worked out the kinks on your recreation of the M920-Cain."
  25. Jen's going to use one move action to get up, the other to slink back towards the changing rooms while Glow attempts to do her thing.
