Vicky scooted a bit closer to Galanta so to make her own lowered voice easier to hear, "He's doing pretty well I think. I haven't been back much since being required to vacate by the headmaster but last I was there he and my dormmate Janis were getting on nicely." She paused for a minute before adding with a slight smirk, "By the way, you are aware he can probably hear us, no matter how quiet we whisper, right? He was able to describe pretty well how everything was being moved around. He's almost as good as Sonar was in Down Periscope."

Wisp snaked her arm around Crow, returning his hug before turning to eye Architect. She was not sure what exactly she had been expecting but colonial era clothing had been fairly low on the list. Though, the teen had to admit the woman pulled off the ensemble nicely. Nodding her head towards the new comer she smiled, "Glad we could help." Eying her boyfriend she added, "Next time we come to visit your hometown, let's try to avoid Lovecraftian behemoths crawling out of the ocean, okay? Otherwise when I take you home for Thanksgiving, we're stopping by Hull House."

Silver Spider made several bounding leaps from where she stood to land on the railing of the pier closest to the aquatic heroes. She climbed down one of the pillars to keep from being jostled by the swarm of people gathered to watch the fight. "Hello Wave-Eye," she called over to the armored triton, "Good to see you again." She looked over at Temperance but not having seen the young woman before she merely nodded, "Ma'am. Impressive hydrokinesis and thermal variation." Temperance couldn't see it but she could tell Silver was smiling. Then the mask hid her expression once more, "So, anyone mind telling me what in the hell that was?"

Wisp would be able to guide him to the school, being a recent graduate herself.

Vector, Net Fly, and Silver Spider walk into a sewer... Sounds good, I'm going to give Quinn a chance to tag in here but if not, three should be able to handle what I've got in store.
-
Silver Spider followed the rest of the heroes through the gate, a sensation not unlike walking through a particularly heavy curtain before she found herself looking around the room and noting how the various pieces of high tech equipment looked disturbingly similar to some of the things in her company's storage units. Moving up next to Victory, the young woman translated the Major's comments into the local version of Latin for the General before looking up at the taller hero, "Sorry, Ironclad and I only had time to make the two translators."

I'd like to keep it to 3 PCs around PL 7-10.

Sticking her phone back in her purse Jennifer walked over and asked in a voice loud enough for anyone passing by to overhear, "And what kind of 'stash' is Coby Towers busying buying from Hank exactly?" The young African-American woman stood next to Kristin, feet firmly planted and a look on her face daring him to keep up the tough-guy act with her. "If he's using anything with manaka root in its composition, he should be careful. Studies have linked the improper mixing of it and certain other chemicals to tooth decay, hairloss, and erectile disfunction. And that's just poorly mixed Max. The side-effects of Whiz and Max are even worse."

1d20+9=24 Going to try and baffle him with some BS about side-effects of whiz and max...

October 3rd: The corpses of two unidentified men were found early this morning, stuck in the intake for one of the sewage treatment plants. Cause of death remains unknown at this time. October 5th: The unknown men found in the sewer have been confirmed as two local homeless men, autopsies have shown unknown chemicals in their blood and they died from either the toxins in their systems or blood loss caused by deep claw marks. Both victims also appear to have bite marks matching the approximate size and shape of a human mouth. October 12th: A Freedom City Sanitation worker was admitted to McNider Memorial Hospital claiming to have been attacked by an unidentified assailant. His blood work shows similar toxins in his blood and a four-clawed gash is running across his back. -Excerpt from Freedom City Police Department files. Okay, as you've just read, something has taken up residence in the sewers and abandoned tunnels beneath our fair city. Who wants to coordinate with the STAR Squad to go in and find the beast responsible for these attacks?

"Indeed it is. My style mixes it up with some more punches and elbow strikes than most Capoeira artists. And sometimes you just physically can't move like that without slamming into walls," she answered. Continuing with a sly wink, "And, trust me on this, a dress like the one I'm in is rarely suited for that kind of jumping roundhouse kicking." Chuckling with the Aussie she added, "I'm sure being able to fly and throw cars with your mind probably doesn't hurt either. Sometimes, you just don't need the insults to keep an opponent off their game."

Untrained stealth roll, 1d20+5=25.

to overhear Knuckles McThickSkull talking about his boss' "stash".

"Have you ever looked into a gig as a steel worker? Or, heck, if you're not limited to just iron and steel, working as a jeweler?" Wisp asked, running her mouth to keep herself distracted from how badly the odds seemed to be shifting out of her favor now that he's armored up. When he jumped down the stairs, she lifted her hands and quickly drew in a collection of energy before exhaled and sent it like a comet of crackling blue and black energy trailing more of the same. Just as she released it, she used her free hand to tap her commlink, "Myr, I could really use some backup on the main deck." When it splashed against his armor leaving little more than a large scorch mark on his chest, she gaped in surprise. Oh crap... she thought, taking a defensive posture.
-
1d20+9=20 Yeah, that's no good... HP! 1d20+9=13+10=23. Still failed by 7 so bruised and dazed. During her turn, the bruise regens but she's still dazed... This would probably be where she calls for some well timed backup.

Unless he's got impervious 13 (which he'd need to be pl 13 for according to house rules), he still needs a save (that extra only stops less than not equal to).

Wisp watched the Russian agent leave, noting how as he did her breath ceased being visible every time she exhaled. "I wasn't expecting something requiring what sounds like three days local time, unless your hyper-drive or warp-drive or mass relay system or whatever messes with relativity and we'll be gone for years instead of a weekend. I need to step out real fast, make a couple phone calls and grab a few things from home." Slinging her bag over one shoulder she eyed the Lor military, "Say, any of you folks ever catch Star Trek? I read something about tv signals spreading out into space and it being likely non-terrans would pick it up to one degree or another."
-
Init: 1d20+11=24 Attack: 1d20+10=23 If that hits, he just took a face full of cosmic energy for a DC 27 toughness save.

"My instruction mostly came from the courses the company gives the security guards, some lessons from bodyguards on various occasions, and a passing interest of Capoeira," Jen said before glancing out the window, seeing the car was coming up on St. George's Cathedral. Glancing back at her companion, "Enthusiasm can certainly help make up for a lack of inherent skill. I also find throwing insults around helps a bit. And I just might swing by, never hurts to expand your skills."

Vicky leaned back in her seat, enjoying the taste of the meal still lingering on her taste buds. "Well, depending on how many chess sets you've got in the closet, it might be a bit hard to include everyone," she mused. "As for card games, does anyone else here know how to play pitch? Or maybe Caravan?" Turning to Subito, "If that was the bet, what movie do you have in mind? And I'm curious what was involved in this bet." She closed her eyes and let her head fall back, not ready to fall asleep but enjoying the comfort the chair gave her back.
-
Jennifer watched Kristin go back into the store and start yelling at the hired goon. I'd better get over there and make sure nobody gets hurt. If I'm recalling the new stories right she can throw a car with her mind and Towers' security goon is a complete unknown. If it comes to powers, this could get messy, she thought as she gathered her own bag up. Once she was within earshot of the store she stepped out of the walkway and pulled out her phone, pretending she had just gotten a txt message and began typing on the screen as if replying.
-
Wisp calmly tapped her commlink once she had her feet back under her, "Impressive boom there Myr. Keep an eye out for falling containers. Once I'm done with this guy, I'll throw some life vests to the guys who fell overboard." Turning her attention back to the fallen mercenary her eyes narrowed and in plume of smoke she vanished only to reappear in his face. "That, Sabot, was the ship's rudder being destroyed. Probably some of the propeller to given the force of the ship wrecking kaboom," she said, the last words coming out similar to a certain cartoon Martian's voice. "Such a shame you didn't surrender when you had the chance," she continued as she leveled a series of punches and kicks into him, the final blow knocking him fully through one container and into the next. "Also, stealing isn't very polite either," she taunted.
-
"Well, like I said, there's cars and hanging out with old friends. I'm also a heavy reader, on the longer trips to demonstrations of company tech or when we're called in to help with archeological dig or what have you, my e-reader usually has five or six books of various genres. I also enjoy some TV, good science-fiction shows, historical things, and MythBusters," she answered. "There's also self-defense training and working out, though that's less of a hobby and more simply survival practice," she added with a chuckle.

After being dropped off in the small office, Silver Spider made an easy leap to the ceiling and looked through the partially open door to the hallway. Her first obstacle was kind enough to come walking by, looking more at his feet than anywhere else. Once he passed the room, she shot out a line of web and yanked him backwards and right into her fist. With the young terrorist unconscious, she sprayed him down with webbing and left him stuck on the ceiling, starring at the floor where his gun lay dissembled, several of the internal pieces broken. Leaving, she closed the door behind her and made her way towards the hostages.
-
Well, while making her way towards the hostages, Silver's going to take 10 on the first minion, after shifting -2 atk, +2 dmg for a DC 22 toughness (assuming a 19 hits).
