Silver Spider watched as the cracks started to form in the ice prison and before the monster could even try and slither one of its whipping tentacles through one she once again raised her arm and fired a long, steady stream of the Weaponized Epoxy Binding fluid, sealing several of the cracks in the walls. Shaking her head as she glanced at her wrist to check her fluid levels she sighed, "Better living through chemistry." And adding mentally, And projects contracted for law enforcement that got canceled between the prototype and mass production stages.

Siphon reached back into the cramped confines of the steam-tank, his hand covered in silver veins criss-crossing over his skin as he grabbed Steel's wrist. For a brief second the veins under Steel's skin appeared as silver lines beneath the flesh before his attacker released him to slump back in his seat. Figuring now was a good time to get out of reach of the mook with the wrench, the power thief pulled back and slid off the rear edge of the tank, landing on his feet a few feet behind it.

They always say never kick a man when he's down, Wisp disagrees. 1d20+13=19... I have the sinking feeling that's not going to properly connect, even if he was just prone. HP time, 1d20+13=23, +10 for HP so 33 on an autofire smackdown. Sabot needs a DC 28 toughness save please.

Wisp looked over at the big man, "So, that's a no to the surrender then? Okay." She tapped her commlink, "Myrmidon, remember what we just discussed? This is my signal. I've got company so I might be out of communication for a minute, it's the big guy from the bridge." She slid into a defensive stand, motioned for the Forman to 'come get some' before blasting one of the control panels with a burst of crackling blue and black energy. "Coast Guard's on their way and I'm in the perfect place to cripple this ship... Let's go jerk."
-
She tapped her chin in thought for a second, "Actually, I think this one does. If I'm recalling right the cosmic bowling is done on Saturday and Sunday nights after nine." She watched Kristin chew her lip, Wow it's cute when she does that, she thought. In reply she said, "Not at all." Wanting to get to know the girl a little more she asked, "So, aside from dodging idiot reporters and school, how do you fill your free time? I'm going to guess from what you said socc- er, football is something of a hobby for you."
-
As Wisp was listening to the radio she heard the faint buzzing of a small electric motor. Looking to see where it was coming from she noticed the security camera pointing at her position. Turning to face it fully she smiled and waved with her free hand before explaining to the Coast Guard's operator who she was, their location, and what was happening. She made sure to mention the apparently ferrokinetic mercenary and the woman running the show and to warn them that likely some of the guards were able to fire the phosphorous grenades. When she was done, she strolled over the camera, and wrenched it, mounting and all, from the wall. Turning to look into the lens she said, "One chance, surrender now and this ends peacefully. Make me fight you and I pull out all the stops." To emphasis her point, she then crushed the camera.

Vicky let the energy fork dissipate into nothingness, her brow furrowed and a bit of sweat shimmering by her eyes. "It isn't terribly easy, like I'm said, I'm still working on it. And I can't really make anything much more complicated than a fork. I can't even get a good knife out of it, my control isn't fine enough for a proper edge." "And honestly, if anyone was giving Subito any trouble, they'd be kinda stupid to mess with someone who can bench almost as much as I can," looking over at the boy she continued, "I know you wouldn't actually hurt anyone but when somebody can juggle refrigerators, you don't antagonize them." Glancing at Serge she smirked, "You kinda did just now, but the school can always use a little extra recruiting."

"Is there any way for your probe to get inside any of the buildings? Not that I'm not looking forward going into space but if we can see inside the buildings, it might give us something of a clue as to what went on down there. If we're looking at a 'Yautja sporting weekend', 'Andromeda Strain outbreak', mechanical malfunction or just straight starvation," the youngest member of the assembled heroes said. Drumming her fingers against her leg she let out a breath, "So, I assume since we have no idea what went wrong we're heading there, landing with full enviro-suit I hope. How long will the trip take?"
-
Wisp tapped the communications device resting in her ear, "Copy that Myrmidon. I'm on the bridge, five hostiles down and disarmed. I was just about to hit the emergency call button, see who I could raise. Hopefully it doesn't end up like that scene from Die Hard with a Vengeance . Not sure if you can tell from out there but from the way they were talking before I knocked them out, this thing can go underwater." Releasing the send button on her link, she picked up the radio's handset, flipped the plastic cover off, and pressed the button. "Hello, hello? Can anyone hear me?"

A mental image of her favorite car, her red Tesla Roadster flashed behind her eyes before it was quickly replaced by the memory of her own experience of learning how to drive, namely the time she'd knocked over a stop sign trying to avoid a squirrel that had run into the road. "Well, for now let's stick to bowling but I'll let you in on a secret. When I first started driving, I was pretty bad at it. And even now I'm still a better mechanic than I am a driver," she said with a wink. "As it happens, the alley I usually go to has a full dinning area as well as much more stripped down snack bar. They've also got some of the best burgers in town, especially their 'ring of fire' burger."

Well, since Levi's still bound a 1d20+8=14 should hit, adding some extra toughness to the iceblock by webbing up the cracks.

Jen enjoyed her frozen treat, enjoying the idle chit-chat with the younger girl, though she caught the frequent glances back towards the sporting goods store her nemesis had snuck back into. "I suppose we should go back over there, if Towers really is doping and Hank really is supplying him then the chances of violence breaking out when Jack's discovered seem distressingly high." He might be a jerk but he's at least pointed towards criminals now, she thought, as she tossed her balled up napkin into a trash bin effortlessly from five feet away. As she rose she glanced into her purse, seeing the web shooters tucked inside.
-
Jen nodded, "Yeah, cars are something of a hobby for me. When I have some spare time, I like to look through the autotrader and check local junkyards for salvageable cars. A few of my restorations I end up auctioning off for charity. After the tsunami hit Japan last year, I found an old Toyota AA that little more than scrap and set about restoring it. I then auctioned it off at a Red Cross fundraiser, for about triple what I invested into it." Flashing her companion a smile the black girl chuckled, "My little brother does the same when I go with him. We try to get a couple games in every month, it used to be something the whole family did but since my sister moved to Boston for college and mom messed up her knee, it's mostly been Jim and I."

Silver Spider watched, her jaw almost going slack as the salt water rose from the ocean and snapped into a massive block of ice. Okay, that's pretty impressive hydrokinesis and thermal alteration, she thought as she looked for a way to aid in stopping the creature from reaching the crowds of civilians, a crowd seemingly split between lining up along the railing to look over the water and those running to get out of the vicinity. When she noticed a fissure in the ice around the creature's eyes, she raised her wrist and fired a blast through the crack, unfortunately for her the sea beast managed to shift in its prison to avoid the blocking of its ocular cavity with synthetic webbing.

Well, Silver's been fairly useless thus far but, since the Levi is bound but still active, let's blind him just to be safe. 1d20+8=22, well he gets a DC 18 reflex save to avoid getting an ocular cavity full of synthetic webbing.

"So, in nineteen fifty-two, the Soviet space program managed send not just a probe but apparently a full crew outside of our solar system. If I didn't know better I'd feel like I was in the setup for one of the terrible movies on the 'SyFy' channel." She tried to remain still as O'Rouly moved around, her voice quizzical as she spoke again. "So then, should I assume you've asked us here because you'd like people with ties to the Soviet government, however loose they might be, to come with you to do a more thorough investigation that your drone can provide you with?"

The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [IC]

Wisp turned her head towards Crow, the sly look on his face letting her know exactly what trick he had in mind. She returned the smirk his bandana was obscuring, "Oh yeah, I remember. Is it wrong I find a good bit of poetic justice in a man named Crow beating up a cat demon?" Holding up three fingers she counted down and once she reached zero, the pair teleported down towards the last Yao-gui, in a swarming cloud of wind, smoke, fists, knees, elbows and feet. When the pair finished the cat demon lay unconscious on the ground. -
"Ah, I'm sorry for bringing them up," Vicky said, eyes down turned. I'd really rather not share the fact mom was a Soviet super-soldier and dad used to work for the CIA. Her father may have even known or worked with them, she thought before taking a sip from her glass of water. "But the food is delicious, especially these stuffed yams. Never had rabbit before though, tastes a bit like chicken," she added with a mirthful smile. To punctuate the point about her enjoyment of the food, she scooped up the last of her omelet. She looked over at Subito as he choked in what she had to assume was feigned rage. She slapped his back a couple times as he coughed.

Well, since the main guy's still up and kickin', we're going to try to drain him again. 1d20+7=19 then if I can do it as a move action, he's going drop off the back of the tank.

Wisp watched dumbfounded as the footage from an alien world played and nearly collapsed back into her chair when she saw the Red Banner flying in the wind light years away. "Congratulations," Wisp started, "You've just shown me the least likely thing I'd have ever expect. And I've had to beat up radioactive Nazi einherjar let loose by Loki." "So, what can you tell us about this planet? Climate? Gravitational levels? Any signs of life or contact from the cosmonauts who it seem set up this little cluster of buildings?"
-
Well, Wisp has no Search ranks so, gotta rely on base int. 1d20+3=21 Thank you IC!

Glancing around the bridge, the vast array of control stations and glowing screens gave her pause. In the time it'll take me to find the radio, I'll be spotted and probably shot. Nothing for it then, she mentally muttered before rising from her hiding spot and in a series of blows she had rendered the bridge crew unconscious. Not wanting to take any risks, she made sure the doors were closed and secured, then she made her way about the fallen sailors, confiscating their still holstered sidearms. Once she had the pile of guns, she began looking for the radio.

Jennifer had to bite her tongue, and hold her hands behind her back. The more Jack spoke, taunting Kristin and droning on and on about his dream expose, the more she wanted to pull out her web shooter and hang him upside down by his ankles. Taking a deep breath she made a note to bring these thoughts up during her next therapy session. Watching him skulk away back into the store she almost let out a grim laugh, "If he thinks that walking like that is going to help him remain unnoticed while he snoops around, it just might kill him."
