  1. Vicky let out a contemplative noise, "We didn't have much combat practice together so I'm not sure if she can use her feathers like that." Adding with a grin, "But that would be pretty awesome." She felt a tad chagrined at Joe's comment of still feeling the heat, "Oh. Yeah, that would make sense. I've been... less successful in the ignoring of smaller pains. Every punch, shard of glass, everything; they all still suck but the actual wounds at least fade quickly." When the subject of the industrial equipment graveyard she interjected, "I doubt either of you need it but, if you want a hand moving some stuff around, you know where to find me."
  2. Wisp's attention snapped across the room as the columns of green light began to solidify into the silhouettes and then tangible forms of Lor military personnel. She rose from her chair, "Impressive entrance," she said with memories of the myriad transport accidents from Star Trek and one specific scene from Galazy Quest flashing behind her eyes. "What kind of problem?" she asked, "Did something on Mir get loose and find its way to Lor space before being deorbited?" While she exuded calm, her mind was racing. Holy crap, do they want us to go into space with them? Oh man that would be so cool! Oh Vicky, calm down, ice water in your veins girl.
  3. Hearing Fathom's call, Wisp didn't need to be told twice. Taking a few deep breaths to steady herself, she began focusing energy into her hands, the blue and black crackling power growing larger with each inhalation and pulsing again as she exhaled. Once the twin balls of power were large enough, the white haired hero slammed her hands together and allowed the power to rush from her arms to streak towards Dagon and slam into the massive abomination with the force of a half dozen missiles. She watches with grim satisfaction as it trashed against the bonds briefly before falling limp, the fight seemingly take out of it.
  4. While finding the radio would probably be the smart thing to do, Wisp is a bit impulsive so stopping the crew from beginning the dive is probably what would strike her as the first step. Full all-out and power attacks which leaves her with with +13 unarmed, +14 DC, and +8 defense. 1d20+13=30, so that's a DC 29 + autofire modifier toughness save from everyone on the bridge.
  5. I can see both Silver and Wisp getting stuck in a couple games.
  6. 1d20+15=20 Uh oh... Well, she was going to try and get to the radio but I have a terrible feeling about her chances.
  7. "Kris, not to be rude but, did you look in a mirror after putting the dress on? I can see why she might be a bit smug about the result of getting you into one," Jen said with a laugh. The older woman gave a contemplative sound before speaking. "Well, my personal first choice is this car show that's coming up but unless you're a gearhead you would probably be bored out of your skull while people compare how much they've sunk into restoring an old clunker into a fully functional work of art. Or modernized a Buick Skylark with an electric engine, in-dash computer, XM radio, and the like." "Well, when in doubt, there's always bowling. Not kicking a ball around but it is an actual active evening with no dresses required," she said.

Vicky turned to look at Serge, "Arrogant she might be but once you hit a certain level of divinity you're allowed some degree of it. And while I do think she should let Morgan learn more from the instructors at the school, I'm not going to say so to a goddess of war and death." "Oh believe me, I've heard plenty of stories about how the few failed to aid the many," Vicky said with a resigned sigh. "My mother defected from the Soviet Union after all. I've heard about the difficulties suffered by those not part of the Party's elite." She scooped up some of the beef and rice stuffed yam with the energy fork and chewed, "And then there was the Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti."
  9. Well, the tag-team beatdown is a solid plan and I endorse it. 1d20+13=26 DC 22 + (autofire) + (combined attack) toughness from what appears to be the single remaining baddy.
  10. "" With a bit of a mirthful smirk the teleporter replied, "" Her voice became much more serious as she continued, "" His last comment about enjoying America left her on edge. Years of warnings from her parents about people from their old lives coming back in a rush, magnified by what she could only interpret as a vague threat. Still, she managed to keep the thoughts off her face, helped in no small part by her mask.
  11. "I think I should send your friend a thank you card," Jen mused. "As for wearing dresses often, I got used to it pretty quickly. Charity events and political fundraisers don't always allow you to come in dressed in casual wear." After a minute the ebony skinned young woman let out a quiet breath she hadn't realized she had been holding, "Your comment about next time, did you have any ideas on where and what that might be? I picked dinner, only fair you get the next pick."
  12. Jennifer scooted over to allow the girl access to the passenger side seat before her driver started the car back up and began the drive to the C&C Club. "I'm honored," Jennifer replied with a warm smile. She adjusted the hem of her green dress and tugged on the black jacket she wore over it, less due to the chill in the evening air and more to cover the collection of old scars on her back and shoulders. Trying to control the butterflies currently running laps in her stomach she added, "Normally I prefer a pantsuit when I can get away with it, jeans and a t-shirt even more often but this is the C&C Club. Their dress code is famously strict. And yes, they are as good as I've said." Without checking in with her brain though, her mouth continued, "Despite not going for dresses often, you look great."
  13. Well, since Dagon's all tied up, 1d20+8=17... That's a DC 29 toughness save from the eldritch horror.
  14. "" Vicky held her tongue on 'the old days', some of the stories her parents shared of the USSR would have turned her hair white. Well, if her hair wasn't already white. "" She sipped her coffee, seeming to contemplate Dimitri's comment about needing a teleporter, ""
  15. Vicky smiled as Dimitri stepped into the room. She returned his embrace before answering, "". His comments brought a bit of color to her cheeks, "" Returning to her seat she leaned back and grinned, "" "
  16. Okay then, I amend my question. Do they find launchers for said RPGs or just ammo? Also, the question of did they find anything else still stands .
  17. Silver Spider nodded towards Young Britannia, "Agreed. Best we move in and get out from here, if that plan needs to change I'll radio you. I think it might be best if I otherwise maintained radio silence." She tapped her earpiece and listened to be sure she was patched into the correct channel. After running a hand over her belt that held her tool kit and spare w.e.b. fluid canisters, making sure her supplies were secured, she held out a hand to the young woman. "On three then? One, two, three."
  18. Silver Spider slipped the phone back into a pouch on her upper thigh and tugged the zipper shut. As alternate dimensions were well out of her plan's covered area, she had shut the phone off first, though she considered looking at the portal technology when they finished mopping up the Nazi mess on the Roman's world. She followed Ironclad over to the gateway between their worlds. She took a deep breath, not sure what to expect from the unfamiliar dimensional device.
  19. Wisp sat in a chair at the middle of the table, a steaming cup of coffee in front of her while she fiddled with her tablet computer while she waited for everyone else to arrive. When the script she had spent the last week writing in the word processor app stopped responding she let out a curse in Russian, and slapped the side of the machine. Sighing she shut it off and slipped it back into her bag. She ended up sitting quietly until everyone arrived a few minutes later.
  20. Seeing the creature heading for shore, after shrugging off a barrage of hailstones from what she assumed was another hero near by, Silver Spider leaped from the ferris wheel while focusing on the slight sensation that occurred every time she altered her personal graviton field. After a quick swing off a nearby light pole she landed in a crouch on the roof of a nearby food stand. Her mind raced as she surveyed the area, Okay, giant monster heading for land. What do I have to work with?

Vicky shrugged, "Sometimes beating an opponent until he can't see straight isn't the most effective tactic. A while back, some nutjob thought sending a marque to fall on a bunch of people to take out one target was a good plan. The energy it would have taken for me to blast the various bits of falling metal away would have likely also ruined several nearby buildings. But having learned how to shape my energy projections into a semi-solid form, I was able to stop the impacts without anyone getting hurt." To demonstrate she held out her right hand and screwed up her face in concentration, summoning a small sphere of crackling blue and black energy before it reshaped itself into a fork. A fork she used pick up and eat a bit of omelet. With a tired grin she added, "Still need more practice but this trick will cut down on how many dishes I need to wash." "Morgan and I are doing okay. He and his mother have got some of their own training going on. Her words on why she doesn't let the teachers help with his magic was something along the lines of 'No mortal trickster could ever hope to match my teachings', which, short of Eldritch, is probably true."
  22. September 21st Claremont Academy Jennifer tapped at the keypad of her smartphone, trying to distract herself from how nervous she felt. She still couldn't believe how a conversation about avoiding a certain reporter when going out to eat had lead to Kristin's reply of 'Like a date?'. A long pause of silently working her jaw before replying, blushing like she was in junior high again. Now she was pulling up to Claremont Academy in one of the company's limos, intending to take the Australian girl to dinner at the C&C Club. Taking a deep breath she exhaled slowly as the car pulled up to the main gates where they had agreed to meet. Shutting off the ringer on her phone, she placed it in her evening bag.
  23. GM The mafioso Voltage's bolt of silver lightning struck convulsed for a second before falling limply to the ground, his suit jacket and shirt singed and smoking. His partner wasted no time and pulled the trigger on his pistol, firing a bullet that was giving off light similar to a tracer round towards the flying super. Luckily for Voltage his opponent was a terrible shot and the bullet slammed into the room were instead of punching through it splattered like a paintball round. Before he could adjust from his mistake though, the second thug found himself wrapped from neck to knees in a sticky glue-like substance. Losing his balance he fell onto his side and as the substance rapidly dried, was unable to roll onto his back. Silver Spider stepped out of the shadows, looking up at the other hero, "Agreed. These two don't seem all that bright. There has to be somebody else around to make sure they don't screw up."
