  1. For Wisp's energy blast from last time (yay homing), 1d20+10=24 And since she's feeling a bit angry, teleport spam beatdown on all the Deep-Ones in a 225 foot radius... 1d20+13=32
  2. "It depends on your character's class, race, and gender," Vicky said. "My female human paladin had a pair of chain mail pants that covered slightly more than a pair of hot pants. The shoulders on the big melee classes however can be rather huge. Or include odd moving parts. But for the most part, the game's still fun despite some odd bits." Taking Mona's hand she shook it, the teen's smile turned up a few degrees. "Thank you so much. I can't wait to see where in here I'll be working." "As for recruiting talent, I've met Cannonade before. He's rather good at pounding on serpentmen and deep-ones," she commented recalling two of the times she'd fought alongside the SHARP-er.
  3. Vicky ducked her head to hide her blush at Mona's praise of her work, "Solid suspension of disbelief is a requirement if you're not going for something like the style used in Adventure Time. As for giant shoulders, don't know if you've ever had some time with World of Warcraft but I've seen shoulder armor in that game that defies 'SoD'." The crimson-eyed artist beamed before rubbing the spot the publisher's knuckles connected with her arm, "Well, I probably should have set that picture at the top of the folder considering it is, when boiled down, a graphical elevator pitch." The thought of asking around at school for volunteers crossed her mind before being pushed aside. Maybe later. No point in advertising you go to super hero high, she thought to herself.
  4. A toast to Dok! May he the boards for many more.

  6. Kyle stood outside the casino, back against the wall of the casino. Every few minutes he'd look up, not sure what he was looking for in terms of signal but he had a feeling he'd know it when he saw it. And when the blinding flash erupted from the window, he reacted. Running with speed he was far from accustomed to, he zipped through the front doors, around the gaming floor and into the stairwell to the floor the lightshow had come from. As his legs moved, every muscle in his body seemed to kindle to life and he felt his reactions become faster than he'd previously experienced. Inwardly he had to admire Snake for being able to live like this twenty-four/seven and not going crazy from it.
  7. Put Wisp down for option D.
  8. Vicky leaned her head against Morgan's shoulder as he pulled her in, in a low voice she said, "Just please tell me your ghost fighting dust doesn't involve depleted uranium dust." "I hear you there, I've had to budget myself pretty tightly so I have something to work with after graduation and I need to go apartment hunting. That or move back in with my parents," she said with a sigh mixed with resignation and comfort, enjoying the embrace of her boyfriend. At his suggestion of food, "Off to meet back up with Janis and Subito?"
  9. 1d20+20=26 Hurray snake movement. Edit: 1d20+6=11 Bluff. And a fail one at that. 1d20+7=21 He's gonna punch the guy behind the couch.
  10. Vicky gave her boyfriend a wide smile. It was moments like this she'd missed most while he had been missing, holding hands and making pop culture references. Having him back, it was like being able to breath after being held underwater. "That right there? That's why you're awesome. I love that you can just pop out a Firefly reference," she said with a small giggle. Tugging Morgan into the store, she spent the next half hour or so picking items out with him, modeling several of them, and finally paying for the ones she liked she hefted the bags. "Okay, I've had my fun. Were there any stores you wanted to swing into before we head back for food?"
  11. Wisp spat out a grunt of pain as the aquatic monster's fist drove into her stomach. The blow hurt last crazy, her vision spinning and blurring for a few seconds as the blow drove the air from her lungs. "Okay, yeah," she wheezed, "Lucky shot." Still short of breath the teleporter raised her fist, blue and black energy swirling around it until coalescing into a crackling arua. With an effort of will she urged the blast to lash out at her foe. With a tiny roar the blast shot towards and then just wide of her target.
  12. Going to be in Queens today and tomorrow, Bree and I are going to surprise her folks with a late mother's day visit and while there, get our dog back so their new puppy can acclimate without much trouble.
  13. Wisp watched Crow's quick assault on the bear demon and let out a low impressed whistle. When the bear kept coming she saw an opportunity to double-team a distracted and climbing opponent. In a quick burst of smoke she vanished from her starting place and reappeared on its shoulders. "Hey, Yogi, pro-tip. The market closed up today." she said with a smirk slamming her fist into her opponent's temple, opposite where Crow's boot had landed. She noticed his eyes crossing briefly before vanishing again, landing next to Crow.
  14. Yay Turnabout, Wisp's going to get in a hit and join Crow in being out of reach. Shifting -3 attack/+3 damage 1d20+10=24 Pretty sure that hits so DC 25 toughness from Yogi.
  15. 1d20+9=14 Yeah, that sucked. Hero point time. 1d20+9+10=24, *glares at Invisible Castle* Very funny chuckles... At least the bruise regens away on her turn. 1d20+10=14 Wow, IC just does NOT like me today.
  16. Watching the waters rise at the command of the trident's wielder the teleporter sprang into action. In a series of bounding leaps she jumped from car to car shortly behind Cannonade, letting the big guy get the sea creature's attention. Before the Deep One could reply to Cannonade's comment Wisp's boots were planted firmly in the monster's jaw. She glanced over her shoulder and gave the people in the car a quick glance, making up her mind that when the opportunity presented itself she needed to rip some doors off.
  17. Vicky squeezed Morgan's free hand. "I figured there was a reason you were gone that long. The important thing though is that you're back," she said giving him a quick peck on the cheek and a reassuring smile. The teenaged teleporter took a moment and gave a shrug, "Nothing major. Biggest thing was getting shrunk with a bunch of other people and moving through a bunch of a tiny animatronic collection of major cities and monuments. I heard the company is planning on turning the leftover tech and models into a theme park that fits on conference table." Finally stopping in front of a store she stopped her date, "So, you requested seeing me try on a dress or two huh?" she asked with a smirk and eying the store's sign. Giving his hand a tug, "Come on, I'm curious what you'll pick out."
  18. Vicky had to muster every ounce of will she had to keep from beaming at Fulcrum's compliments on her work. Though despite her best efforts a slight blush crept onto her face. "Well the golem's body comes from a bunch of pictures of Ironclad and other armored heroes. It helped me keep the design looking clean and relatively basic. I suppose I should write a thank you letter to the folks at The Lab," she explained with a chuckle. "Yeah, I'm especially happy with how Kiersha and Kris came out there. Magically hurled stalactites from one side, arrows exploding into frost from the other while Shaith, swords drawn and in a defensive stance, stares the beast down." Turning to Lou she tried to articulate her thoughts she sipped some of her coffee. "The question is, an anthology with a specific theme or just ones where we're packed together because it'd be easier to put out one larger magazine every week or month?" "She's right. I imagine the bigger publishers can snap up some of the more famous of the Capes with a larger paycheck, solidarity between Supers be damned," she commented. "The tinted windows are also a good idea, aside from protecting our IPs, there's eliminating glare from the screen of the computer based artists."
  19. Vicky leaned back in her seat, lazily swiveling from side to side. "As long as nobody comes over the speakers congratulating us on our tests and then promising us cake afterwards, I think I'm good." In a soft burst of smoke the white-haired teen vanished from her chair, which continued to spin with a slight squeaking noise, and reappeared standing with her fists clenched by the door. With a roll of her shoulders she gave a determined grin, "This should be fun. But I'm betting we'll be too sore to move much tomorrow." As she stepped out into the doom room she found herself humming a song from one of the shows she used to watch with each step.
  20. Vicky glanced at Lou's sketches before her eyes fell on her tablet's display where it sat discarded for the moment. The screen was showing some half-painted concept art for a war-golem. "There's one last piece in that folder," she started motioning towards the piece of electronic equipment, "It's a splash page of Kris, Keirsha, and Shaith fighting a rather angry dragon in some bone filled catacombs." "Its entire existence falls under 'rule of cool'," the red-eyed artist admitted.
  21. 1d20+14=15 Wow, Wisp seems to be blind here... Well, seeing a person trying frantically to avoid drowning would trigger Wisp's "Clear the civilians, then punch the jerk" reflex. So that would be her action.
  22. "On the subject of the LAN parties, what's the next one? Diablo II? Or would we be looking at a Call of Duty event this time?" Vicky asked, as they walked. Hardly breaking stride she turned her head towards her date she slid a sly look his way, "I can't promise a slinky dress but, summer is coming up and that means beach season, my favorite season of them all." What she didn't mention is how little she liked the area before her powers emerged. Listening to Subito's story of his home life was vaguely familiar, back in Chicago she had needed to beg, borrow, and steal every minute of downtime she could if her parents were home. The basic training her parents put her through plus the usual load of homework and chores made her social life rather difficult. Even most of the books she read to relax her mother made sure they were in Cyrillic Russian to keep her skills in the language sharp.
  23. Wisp sat in a chair not far from Crow's own, a smile plastered on her face at the praise from Fulcrum, "Thanks, that's what I was aiming for." She retied her ponytail after it had started coming loose towards the end of her run and peered over Morgan's shoulder. "Can't go wrong with the standard robot uprising scenario. There are enough super-hackers out there to make rogue robotics a concern. That and is there anyone here who didn't want in on the resistance after seeing the first couple Terminator movies?"
