Wisp: A Very Claremont Excursion Artistic License Meet The Irregulars Miniature Heroland The Stars Say That...

Vicky sat back for a few minutes and quietly munched on a couple of the offered cookies after a quiet thank you. "Well, the anthology idea might be something to stick a pin in. Weekly Shonen Jump and Shonen SQ are a pair of anthology magazines that have some pretty good numbers behind them. I also know the anthology builder website does fairly well for themselves." The teen smiled at Lou, "Gotta say, I bet the extra hands would be pretty helpful when sculpting. I know there are times when I'm drawing I could use an extra pair. Then again, half the time that's from also being up to my eyeballs in homework from the rest of my classes."
-
Vicky took Janis' hint and laid one hand over the one her roommate slid around her waist and returned the favor. She whispered so only the blond fulminokinetic could hear her, "Easy now, we don't want to break the boys this soon do we?" At a more normal volume she said with a wink as the broke apart, "I dunno, Morgan never complains when I try on clothes. Maybe it's that, unlike this one girl I dated a couple years ago, I don't make him suffer through it on an empty stomach." Double checking the location of the Best Buy she nodded, "I could use some new pen nibs for my stylus, I've nearly worn the first patch down to nothing on this dungeon punk thing I've been working on. Also a good sized external hard drive..." she said trailing off.
-
Vicky took her seat on the bus, leaning her head on Morgan's shoulder she made a contented noise. "If they've got food from all over Europe, I'm left wondering how their Russian selection is. I've been craving pelmeni lately," she commented. After a moment of consideration she added, "Depending if they use kvass or sour milk as their base, I could go for a cup of okroshka too." Brushing some of her hair away from her sunglass covered eyes she asked Janis, "So, while at the mall, am I going to have to carry you away from the car accessories display at Best Buy?"

Wisp ground her teeth as she landed and rolled forward and springing upwards into another bounding action. She performed a quick one-handed handspring off a table while with her left hand she unleashed another quick stream of light blue and black energy towards Zodiacus. She nearly let out a whoop when the blast soared through the air and connected solidly with the astrologist villain's shoulder, spinning him quickly before he righted himself. "I live by a simple philosophy, 'when at first you don't succeed, use twice as much firepower as last time'.

Giving her teammates the requisite high fives after their runs she commented, "Nice runs guys." Adjusting her costume, she moved to the doors leading to the simulation. When Wisp stepped in she found herself atop the roof of the bank. Recalling what she'd seen of the bank's layout she closed her eyes to focus, vanishing in a plume of smoke and reappearing crouched beneath a teller's station. Moving quickly she raised her head just enough to see she was within a few yards of the hostages. Luck also seemed to be on the teleporter's side given the neither the one robber guarding the hostages nor rummaging through the various desks of the employees were looking in her direction. Motioning for the employees to keep quiet and calm she crept over and in one massive cloud of scarlet and white smoke, they were all safely outside. Turning to a nearby officer she pointed, "Do me a favor and make sure they all get checked over by EMTs." With those instructions ringing in the air the teen vanished back inside where the thugs were currently in a state of severe panic. Choosing to capitalize on that and their shock seeing a girl appear from nowhere in their midst she rushed the nearest one, a hulking man carrying an illegally shortened shotgun. She snatched the weapon right from his grisp, her super-human strength warping the barrel and forend as her right hand clamped down. "Careful, somebody's liable to get hurt," she said through a smirk before knocking him cold with one solid left cross in the face. The remaining robbers were quickly disarmed and dispatched amidst a series of short teleport-jumps that would flow from her tripping one woman holding an assault rifle to dropkicking a man with a pair of pistols in the chest and teleporting after kicking off from the impact and tackling the last from behind. A few minutes later the robbers were being lead away in handcuffs and Wisp was well out of sight. Once back in the observation room she plopped into a chair and reached into her bag, pulling out a protein bar. "Pardon me, I missed breakfast. After something like that on almost no calories for the day...," she trailed off before devouring the bar.

Well, let's try it again. Acro-bluff:1d20+15=25 Blast: 1d20+10=18

Vicky shrugged, "I stopped keeping track around thirty. I do have to say that some of the designs were really fun to mess around with but a few... well, it's a good thing I enjoy the story." The teen took a moment to try and straighten her train of thought, knowing when she didn't it was less a lineal progression and more jumbled mess which could easily go off topic. "This one is another that won't carry a series but would probably work as a decent backup story. I'm just thinking a powerful Lich finds himself lonely and brings his feline familiar back as an undead companion. The main reason this isn't a 'well, why don't you let him?' scenario is the fact some human sacrifices are needed to get the energy flowing for the ritual." At Lou and Mona's faces she blanched and said in a quieter voice, "I didn't say it was particularly good. Next time, I start with Shaith or Keirsha jumping off a crashing sky-pirate ship."
-
Wisp met William's eyes, "Don't worry. We'll get her back." She watched him leave before turning back to the overeager heckler. Moving in a dead sprint she jumped and flipped over and around the fallen tables and chairs, blue and black energy beginning to crackle around her fists. Turning in mid-jump she threw her right arm out, the crackling energy rushing towards Zodiacus. Unfortunately he saw it coming and ducked just enough that the shot soared past him and left a sizable dent in the stage's backdrop. Frak, she grumbled mentally.

If the ones you listed are all in a Container, the entire Container. If not, I'll take the Snake Movement setup.

Vicky smiled inwardly, watching Lou try to pet Mona's one-eyed cat. Aloud she said, "If we don't use him as a mascot, I could certainly add him into one of the comics...," she trailed as the fact ideas were spinning in her mind played across her face. "And I just had an idea for the dungeon punk series, I love random inspiration." Turning her attention to Archimedes she said in the voice every pet owner seems to fall into when talking to their pet, "Somebody here is getting a can of tuna and a bag of catnip next time I come by." The teen nodded, "I tried some different brush tools and tried to incorporate as many historically accurate structural aesthetics into that series. I was also up to my eyeballs in research material on that one, trying to avoid making anything that just looked like it was ripped from a standard sci-fi comic, repainted copper and had some gears slapped on."
-
Wisp turned towards Revenant with a wry smile, "Best I take the leap of faith. I mean, absolute worst case of this plan is still better than that fiasco up at the nuke plant." Eying the crowd she continued, "Probably best we get that escape route setup soon. Maybe have Jube find a relatively secured building, or at least one we could make secure, on this table to hide the civilians in while we tackle the problem of trigger happy toys and being shrunk down to the size of action figures?"
-
Jube finds several places that signals are coming from. There's a signal coming from the Eiffel Tower in the Parisian section, another on what looks like a scaled down cruise ship moving over a water filled portion of the map (he's not sure but he thinks he saw RMS Titanic across the stern), one from the Statue of Liberty, the replica of the Sydney Opera House, and a final one in Big Ben. All of the locations he's picked up seem equally viable places for the signals to have originated.

Vicky smiled at her outfit's effect on her boyfriend. There was a certain thrill to rendering the boy into a stuttering mess. At the sound of her roommate's call she shook her head and took Morgan's hand. Pulling him close the pair vanished in a large plume of red and white smoke, reappearing behind Janis in a similar plume. Tapping her friend's shoulder she said in a quiet voice, "Right behind you Janis."

"Might be a little obvious but since your company is being named after your cat, perhaps either a feline paw print or a cat's eye should be worked into the design?" Vicky suggested. "There's two more files with more fleshed out concepts. One I've got is a steampunk story in an old castle turned school for the increasing number of mad scientists showing up after a different turnout of the Napoleonic Wars, which left much of Europe in ruins. The elders are training them to use their creations for the betterment of all rather than letting them fall to their baser instincts and become would-be conquerors," Vicky stated. "The other is a more standard sci-fi affair about a small ship and its crew after the former crashes onto a remote planet. It's as much character driven drama as it is full action and adventure as they try and survive on and explore their new home," she continued.

Just a few seconds after agreeing to the double date the waitress stepped up to the table and took their orders. Vicky passed their menus over and waited for the waitress to head into the kitchen. Once they were alone again Vicky returned her roommate's smile with a slightly more mischievous one. "This should be a bunch of fun. And hopefully this one will have fewer hostage crises and doors that explode when someone opens them," she said through a slight laugh. "And I promise, I'll try and keep from distracting your date with too much nerd-talk."
-
Victoria looked over her outfit in the mirror, a recently purchased dark grey sweater and her favorite pair of hiphugger jeans. Adjusting her ruby and silver stud earrings and matching bracelet she nodded to herself. Checking her purse to make sure her costume was secured in case of trouble, as well as her wallet being inside towards the top, she slung it over her shoulder and vanished from her room in her distinctive bi-colored smoke. Reappearing not far from the main gates, she walked quietly up behind her boyfriend before holding her hands over his eyes. "Guess who," she said through a grin.
-
"Well, not like we've been doing anything beyond staying up too late and watching movies," Vicky said, some color rising on her face in embarrassment of what her roommate was assuming. "I'm glad we've managed to get some time away myself. Our schedules don't mesh nearly enough," she replied. Vicky pondered her friend's question for a minute before she replied, "Well, one jumps to mind but I don't know how well anything triadic would go. As for cute single guys, I do know one other guy. His name's Subito, he's a bit on my end of the nerd spectrum but I think you'd get along well." "Next time I end up sharing weight room space with him, I can broach the subject of getting you two on a date if you'd like."
-
Vicky pointed towards her tablet computer, "I'm still working through a 'dungeon punk' sort of story. The main cast is a trio of adventurers. We've got Kris, a Changeling terramancer; Keirsha, she's basically the Bowman's archery combined with skill at creating potions; and Shaith, a swordsman who carries twin swords made of starmetal." As Lou and Mona flipped through the files, she continued, "So far I don't have much more than 'a shapeshifter/magic user, an elf with trick arrows, and a swordsman with badass swords wander into a ruin and kill a bunch of demons' for a plot. It'd make a decent prologue or one-shot but that couldn't carry an ongoing series." The teen looked down at herself before she replied to Carrie, "It's the nicest one I had access to that wasn't meant as funeral wear." Holding up her arms when instructed she answered, "Probably black for the suit itself. Black goes everything, and contrasts with my hair pretty well. For the blouse, I could get behind spearmint, especially if I have my sunglasses on or it's close to Christmas. And I'm inclined to go with a skirt suit."

Bree is going to be up in Syracuse from tonight until this weekend. I'll try and find time for posts but if I'm gone a bit, you now know why.
