Vicky finished chewing the bit of chicken she'd picked up. "You know, I've had a theory about that tree. And given the student body and the other occurrences around the school, the tree being unusual wouldn't surprise me," she said, her hand holding her chopsticks waving as she talked. Maybe I should see if Gwen noticed anything odd about it when we get back? she thought to herself. "And I'll be selling tickets, drinks, and snacks for that match," she commented with a smirk.

Wisp watched the two giant letters made of neon tubes and steel collide into her light blue energy barrier, sending spider webbing cracks throughout the transparent construct. Well, those extra training sessions certainly paid off, she mentally grunted. Aloud she yelled, "Everyone, please move in a calm and orderly fashion out from under the debris! These things are really, really heavy." Looking around her red on black eyes scanned the area to make sure people followed her instructions. With a heavy sigh she dropped the improvised barrier before teleporting out of the impact zone once everyone was safely out of the way. Reappearing in cloud of her bi-colored smoke she took a minute to catch her breath and wipe the sweat from the exertion from her eyes.

45 Jubatus: Unharmed 25 Synth: Unharmed 24 Wisp: Unharmed 12 Revenant: Unharmed 10 Glow: Unharmed 8 Securitron: Injured 3, Disabled

The robotic hostage holder's body shook as it attempted to follow it's targets, the large screen flickering through several still-frame expressions in between the SMPTE color bars. The Securitron's arms flailed about, seeming to pause before one target, making an echoing booming sound then tracking to the next. Sparks intensified their pouring forth from exposed wires while plumes of greasy black smoke from internal fires billowed from ventilation slots and the holes made it it's chassis by Jubatus and Wisp's attacks. "Ma-" it started before it's speakers cut to a high pitched whining noise as it's body rocked with spasm of jammed servos and gears, "-on't like th-"

Siphon leaned in to hear Starlight and Catalyst speak, the assault rifle he'd taken back from the locals pointed at the ground so as avoid any accidental discharges from the weapon. "Star's right," he said in a hushed tone, "We might be best served trying to find a quick mechanic to get that car in better shape to ride out to their base while we question the scumbags you guys picked up." He gave Star a slight smirk at her comment on horse riding and adjusted his stetson, "That makes two of us. I'd probably end up breaking my neck just trying to climb into the saddle."

/digs out the stamp of approval. I love when people try and mesh 616 and New Earth and given the world building I've seen in the Oddballs thread... yeah, you need to do this.

Vicky stuck her chopsticks in the container of rice and looked at Kristin, a mischievous look on her face. "Just the one," she replied, her smirk cracking into a chuckle of her own. "Yeah, we've been making some calls on weekends. He's making progress but the team as a whole isn't the same. Hell, he's the one who gave it a name," the white haired teen sighed before digging into some of her food. After a minute she stopped and glanced at John with a smile, "Me to. Ten bucks says when he comes back he'll be found stuck in that tree, hanging by his ankle again."

Actually, I goofed and accidentally skipped Synth. Enjoy a hero point. Yes, that hits. 1d20+25=44, sadly Synth is overpowered.

"I was thinking of seeing if the computer lab had any openings in the schedule. Or hooking some systems into the projectors the teachers have for the smartboards. But, worst case, the request is quashed and we're stuck setting up online parties from our dorms," Vicky answered, continuing her exercise and leading it into a warm-down. Taking a minute to let her muscles relax she rubbed the start of a cramp when she looked at the clock on the wall, "Crap, it's almost eight thirty. I need to grab a shower and change before class," she sighed. Getting up she moved next to Subito and held out her hand, "Before I head out, you should friend me on Xbox Live or PSN, my tag's 'LadyStarwind' on both."

1d20+12=22, 1d20+12-1=16 So, the barrier is "Injured and dazed" but should have held if I'm reading the damaging objects rules correctly.

"Yeah. The energy and super-strength I'm pretty sure aren't. Or maybe they burn much more effectively, I dunno. Mysteries like this are what happens when two people's markedly different power sets manifest in their kid," the young woman said with a sigh. Vicky watched the cannon ball drop into Fulcrum's hands and let out a slight wince, "Damn, that looked like it stung." At the other woman's comment on energy bars she smiled, "I have a hip flask that I keep a little of my special brew in. It's got a mix of Gatoraid, Monster and protean shake. It is without the foulest tasting drink on the planet but it helped keep me going during the Gorgon crisis." "What did you have in mind for teleporting practice? It isn't that I'm not having fun but I'm curious what you've got in mind."
-
Siphon stood over one of the bandits who had tried to get away. "Yeah, no. You're gonna stay right here," he snarled. When the bandit makes his move, the young man's hand found the criminal's uncovered neck where silver fingertips locked on and left him barely conscious. The American rose to his feet, the silver coloring fading from his fingertips. Damn, no powers on that guy. At least this'll keep the shakes away, he groused internally. A minute or so later he stepped over, hands firmly in the duster's pockets, and looked at the gun, "Mind if I hold onto that, Mr. Millbrick? Might need it as evidence when we pay ourselves a little visit. Or, in the worst case as a bit of protection."

Wisp poked her head over the hood of the car and watched Jube's claws slice into the robot like knives through butter. With a smirk she stepped up from her position and pushed energy into her palms as she raised her hands. Black and blue energy crackled between her fingertips and more swirled in her outstretched hands. Please let all those hours of practice have paid off, she thought as she lined up the shot. In a rush the blast lanced from her palms to her enemy's body, resulting in a short body spasm and a chunk of it's shoulder plating being torn from the mechanical menace.
-
Wisp looked over her and Glowstar's work and grimaced, "That was almost as unpleasant as the last time we went into God awful water to deal with a berserk reptile." She was just wringing out her long snow white hair when she heard the shrieking metal of the frame of the over sized "O" break away the rest of the Golden Calf's sign. "Oh crap," she muttered in Russian as she directed her teammate's attention to the sight before teleporting them both, in a cloud of snowy and scarlet smoke, under incoming debris. As soon as they landed she raised her hands and focused her will, pouring energy from her spread fingers. As the blue and black energy coalesced it formed into a flat plane between the crowd and the heavy rain.

Wisp's going to take a shot at using Extra Effort to power stunt create objects off her cosmic energy array. Create Objects 12(Feats: Stationary, Tether) [24/24] available PP.

First, not entirely likely... Ahead of her comrade, yeah. By 1. 1d20+7=13

"About a minute there and back, tops," she said before continuing in a lower voice only her companions could hear her, "Though, there may be some amount of protections on the dorm rooms to prevent girls from teleporting directly into a guy's room and vice-versa. Still, worst case they sit in my room for a while until we get home." "Well, if you insist John. I'll grab a pack or two of the sugar buns," she said, grabbing a tray and moving down the line in front of the row of delicious smelling choices, ordering some General Tao's chicken, steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, and the sugar buns. "I'll go pick a table while there's a chance," she said, glancing at the bustle of the food court after paying the woman working the register.
-
Wisp is PL 11 and could use some combat.
-
Vicky moved next to Etain and looked over the map's list of eateries in the food court. "I don't know if it's the stereotype or just my metabolism but I'm always hungry an hour after eating Chinese. Oooh, nice, there's a Wendy's right next to the Chinese place. Handy, I've had a craving for steamed dumplings and a spicy chicken sandwich." She shot a look over her shoulder at John, grinning as he managed, barely, his collection of new musical toys. "You want a hand with any of that? And don't worry about covering my lunch, John, the offer is appreciated but the way I put away the calories I'd obliterate your budget."

1d20+9-1=17. Dazed and injured 2. [Edit] Rather than double post... Attack: 1d20+10=18 That's a DC 27 toughness save... 1d20+9-2=17, Dazed, Injured 3, Disabled [/Edit]

Bruised and dazed. Jube's up next.

"Knowing if I go back to Chicago I could shove them in their lockers without much trouble is also a bonus," Vicky said with a wicked smirk. "Seems most of the student body is that wise. What few instances of trouble between students I've come across have been handled fairly well. There's been unpleasant moments but short of the teenage equivalent of a small nuclear exchange, things go pretty well." Following Fulcrum's gaze she tried looking for the sphere the more experienced hero had thrown, "My personal best is about nine hundred feet. One thousand if I push it and feel like closing down a buffet when I'm done."

The display on the robot's face flickered from a friendly smiling face on a white background to a snarling face framed in red as Revenant shoved him backwards, skidding to a stop twenty-five feet away from the crowd. "My Master will not like that at all," the machine's staticy voice called as it raised the same arm that had seconds ago fired upon Jubetas. A flash of the same scarlet energy erupted from the robot's arm cannon and flew towards the dark haired woman, the blast catching her square in the stomach and leaving harsh looking scorch marks on her clothes. "You have one chance to surrender, I suggest you use it."
-
1d20+8=11 Yeah, he's a bit distracted. Once Scuff posts, I'll toss in an IC for the following... Notice vs Wisp's hide, 1d20+8=25. Revenant seems to be the biggest threat as she actually pushed him back so, his sensors are locked onto her. 1d20+7=24 which does hit the undead 1920s-Ally McBeal.

1d20+11=22 He's pushed back 25ft. Glow's turn.
