Vicky watched the illusionist simply vanish and let out a low whistle in her teammate's absence. She just marveled at how smooth the talisman-triggered teleport was, hardly a visual or audible sign to betray her passing. "It's not a problem Etain," the teenaged teleporter said breaking into a slight smirk as she continued, "We don't spend much time hanging out when not running into each other in Chinese divine realms or beating up the avatars giant planet eating Medusa heads." After a brief silence Vicky brought over the heaviest trunk with just one hand as if it weighed as much as an empty styrofoam cooler and she set it gently down next to Etain, "So, I know how much like a pickup line this sounds and I'm sorry but, read any good books lately? I noticed a small library on your shelves and I'm looking for something new to sink my teeth into, so to speak."
-
"Well, this is back before I could get from one end of a football field to the other with as much effort as it takes for most people to take a couple steps. Vicky gave a small smile and blushed nearly as red as her irises, "Besides, sometimes, her mood swings resulted in a positive outcome." "I really do need to thank Lynn again for taking part in that meet and greet at the Millennium Comics store over in the West End, love that store and most of the folks are fairly respectful. Helps my first time there I made friends with a local hero I think." "Yeah, Crow and I made up. Helps he healed the minor bruising to his jaw, then I ordered his favorite Italian in as a make-up and thank you for the rescue two-fer." "Not so interesting. I was more than a little pissed at the skank for allowing her errand boy to kidnap me. If we hadn't been in her realm where she was about to drop a cyclone, I'd have argued to stay and lay the smack down but, we'd have never made it back," she said with a shrug.
-
"Usually they do but sometimes, the match is more than is messed up. Â Like the Spartan vs Ninja or Knight vs Pirate matches. Â Ninjas aren't meant for a straight fight and once you include gunpowder, evenness in a match goes out the window." Vicky continued her exercises, picking up speed in slow increments, as she commented on the show, "Still, some were pretty cool like the one between Green Beret and Spetznaz or Viking and Samurai. Â Or in the finale of this season, Zombie vs Vampire, their first fictional character fight."
-
Vicky nodded, "No problem. Worst case, if the limit is substantially lower, I can bring stuff over in short five mile hops from here to Lantern Hill." Vicky then vanished from Etain's room in another plume of snowy and scarlet smoke. Once outside she gathered the trunks into a tidy pile and moved them several yards outside the North wall of the campus. To make things a bit easier, she went back and grabbed the bed too. A minute or two after vanishing she reappeared and held out a hand to Etain, "And done. The trunks and your bed are off campus and likely outside of the wards. I can't tell for certain though, perhaps you can give the area a once over?"
-
"Like I said, don't expect a lot of reality, logic, or empirical testing results from Deadliest Warrior. On the other hand, if all you're looking for is seeing weapons mess up pig carcasses or ballistic gel torsos, oh man will this show have you set." "Wouldn't surprise me if they did, not every hero can have perfect vision," she commented, "And if your banner can repair clothes, I have a couple shirts damaged from fights that could use some of that magic..." "Indeed," she said with her own sigh, "Then again, at least they weren't as painfully bad as Enterprise. Or Lost."
-
Vicky quickly set her words to action and inside of two minutes the bed was sitting down on the lawn with the large trunks sitting up against it. After slowly moving a shelf stretched to almost groaning with books away from the door she opened up for her fellow Irregular. "Took a little more moving and finagling than I suspected. Those trunks are downstairs too. On a side note, you have got to tell me where you got your bed's mattress and if they make the model in a twin size. It's probably the most comfortable one I've ever sat on," the young teleporter said. Stepping back her ruby on onyx eyes scanned around the room, "So your talisman, does it have much of a recharge time? And how much of a weight limit do we have to work with? Worst case I can make a series of five mile jumps with some of your stuff."
-
"Lemme take a look," Vicky said before vanishing in a plume of white and crimson smoke. She reappeared balancing on the windowsill outside Etain's dorm room. The illusionist wasn't kidding about her room being overfilled. Noting the giant bed as the biggest obstruction, she teleported again, landing on the bed. After landing she rolled off and called through the door, "Okay, I'm going to move the bed down to the rear lawn, that should at least give me enough space to get the door open."
-
Shifting from simple curls to cross-body tugs Vicky listened to Subito's list, "I've watched most of those. I couldn't really get into Battlestar myself, either series. The MythBuster's episode with the giant crane-wreckingball Newton's cradle was pretty awesome. Ever run across Deadliest Warrior? It's a pretty cool show, if you're willing to let go of little things like logic in their tests." "Actually, you look like the kind of guy who'd look good with a pair of glasses. Probably not the best things to wear in combat though," she commented with a shrug of her own.
-
Vicky nodded, "Gonna go ahead and guess magic was involved in the sudden extra-packing of your room, am I close? Also, how much stuff are we talking about here? A couple bookshelves dropped haphazardly in front of the door keeping it shut or more like the walls are being stretched outward due to the sheer volume of stuff?" Vicky slid her bag off her shoulder and dropped it on the ground next to Etain's door where it thudded solidly, a sign of just how many books the girl was carrying. "I'll see what I can do to at least get your door open. If I have to bring things out of the room, there anyplace nearby you want them dropped off for safe keeping?"
-
Vicky was on her way back to her form from the final class for her day, looking forward to hopping on her computer and finishing the inking on the second page of a comic she'd been working on for the past few days. She'd made the effort to walk rather than teleport directly to her room so she could enjoy the cool Autumn air and the view of the changing leaves across the campus. As she left the elevator and walked towards her room she saw Etain sitting in the hallway, reading. She didn't catch the title of it. "Afternoon Etain. Not really any of my business but... wouldn't you be more comfortable in the lounge? With real chairs and the like?"
-
"After our workout I can give you a lift right to your first class. It won't give you the full picture but a ride-along should give you an idea of what my teleports are like," she replied. "Yeah, Mr. Archer has me training with the rest of the Irregulars a lot. He's backing off slightly after what happened during the Gorgon incident out in the zen garden but I've gotten stuck in the habit of being here this early. I still need to work on my energy blast, see if I can do anything with it that doesn't involve pushing bad guys' teeth in." At his mention of Star Trek she almost paused but caught herself and kept going, "Deep Space Nine? Great show. It's my second favorite of the franchise," she answered with a smile, ruby eyes glinting with interest. "What kind of shows do you watch besides DS9? MythBusters by chance?"
-
Her biceps and triceps burned slightly, enough to know she was pushing herself but not to a degree she was likely to damage her muscles. Continuing the exercise she answered, "Super-strength and energy blasts for offense, they're mutually exclusive though, I can't lift much more than my backpack if I'm letting a rush of energy go. I recover from minor wounds pretty fast too. And of course, my personal favorite of the pack, the teleports." After a few more reps she replaced the bars and sets the weight up an extra five hundred pounds, before continuing. "So, a bullet-proof banner? Very nice. I'm sure there were a few Roman Legions who'd have liked that way back when. Sorry, been brainstorming an art project and I've had the Romans in mind for several of them."
-
Wisp held her hands behind her back, looking between Crow and the local heroes, "How far away is the Temple? And in what general direction? I'd just follow but it would be helpful in case I loose you guys on the way over." She glanced at Cannonade and asked, "It didn't really come up in Tian or dealing with the Einherjar but, you have flight, super-speed, teleportation, or the like or do you need to pull a tandem teleport?"
-
"I can't benchpress mountains or anything but my strength is more than a little past the norm," she said, lifting the weight in a slow curl up and down. As she moved the pink tank top she wore allowed her fellow weight lifting to see her muscles bulge slightly with each raise and lower of the bar. "Can't say I've met anyone with anything like volcano powers, sounds like some interesting powers. How 'bout you? Super-strength and enhanced hearing all you bring to the table or you have more? Flight, energy blasts, etcetera?"
-
Vicky saw the other student's eyes flick to her hair and eyes, making her wonder if dyeing her locks wasn't a good idea. "Victoria Knight," she replied, inclining her head politely as she fiddled with the tension settings, bringing it to a solid warm up weight of one ton. She smiled at his comment on her ability to move quietly, "Thanks. I've been training in that area for a long while. Bonus from the training is when I get up early or come in late, I don't wake my roommate." "So, Subito, what brings you to the gym this early? Usually I have the place to myself at this hour. Not that I mind the company, just making an observation."
-
Victoria shoved her gym bag into the locker she'd been assigned in the girls' locker room in the Aaron Cage Gymnasium. Looking out the window as she entered the weight room she was once again glad to have her teleportation powers, allowing her to skip the chilly morning weather and come directly from her room. The steady hum of another voice told her she wasn't alone as she made her way to the dumbbells. She moved to her usual set and smiled and the curly haired young man next to her. "Good morning," she offered, as best she could given the early hour. It came out closer to 'goo-ed mornink' as her Russian accent crept into her tired voice.

Alternate Identities: Kyle Conners Identity: Secret Birthplace: Freedom City, New Jersey Occupation: Freelance reporter Affiliations: Family: Sally Conners (Mother), Brian Conners (Father), Nicole Conners (Sister) Age: 25 (Born May 10, 1986) Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'11†Weight: 190lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Description: Kyle Conners is a handsome and personable young man. His body fairly muscular, showing the many sports he played in high school and college in his musculature. When dressed for work, he prefers black slacks, a satin dress shirt and black suit jacket. He keeps his hair cut short and stays clean shaven. Power Descriptions: When using his powers, his hands turn a shade of silver. As he absorbs the power to be mimicked, traces of the silver run up his arms. His powers however are addictive and not quite under his complete control, activating on random super-humans if he hasn't "fed" them recently. History: Kyle was born to an upper-middle class family in Lantern Hill. During high school he was on the school newspaper and was the running back on their championship football team. After high school he studied journalism at Freedom City University on a football scholarship. He's spent the last few years as a freelancer, mostly for The Ledger. His most recent contract lead him to cover a conference at ASTRO about a new form of paper thin glass that absorbed energy directed at it, making it able to withstand a blast from a Howitzer without a scratch. While there, a group of criminals attempted to steal the formula. During the event, Kyle's metahuman powers activated for the first time. When he instinctively reached for the one creating lightning from her hands, grabbing the bare skin on her leg, she became sluggish and he found her powers at his command. Since then, he's been battling the hunger of his powers. Resisting the urge to grab random people with an obvious power. Personality & Motivation: Kyle mainly dons the costume to feed his addiction to power mimicking in a productive way, protecting the innocent and stopping criminals. Outside of the mask, he's a funny, friendly, personable man, traits that have served him well in interviews and allowed him to slip into VIP events without being immediately hassled by security. Powers & Tactics: His first move in combat is to find a metahuman opponent and mimic one of their powers, turning it back against them if possible. Complications: Family: Fairly self explanatory here. Hunger: His powers aren't fully controlled and when in contact with metahumans, they may activate without his consent. Responsibility: He has a job, as he's not independently wealthy, he needs to write as per his agreements or find himself looking for a new job. Secret: Identity. Abilities: 8 + 8 + 8 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 30PP STR 18 (+4) DEX 18 (+4) CON 18 (+4) INT 12 (+1) WIS 12 (+1) CHA 12 (+1) Combat: 14 + 12 = 26PP ATK: +7 DEF: +8 (+3 flat-footed) Init: +8 Grapple: +11 Knockback: +3 Saving Throws: 1 + 1 + 4 = 6PP TOU +6 (+4 Con, +2 Defensive Roll) FORT +5 (+4 Con, +1) REF +5 (+4 Dex, +1) WILL +5 (+1 Wis, +4) Skills: 48R = 12PP Bluff 5 (+6) Concentration 5 (+6) Craft (Writing) 4 (+5) Diplomacy 5 (+6) Gather Info 4 (+5) Investigate 4 (+5) Knowledge (Current Events) 4 (+5) Knowledge (Streetwise) 4 (+5) Notice 4 (+5) Search 4 (+5) Sense Motive 5 (+6) Feats: 10PP Beginner’s Luck Challenge: Fast Bluff Defensive Roll Distract (Bluff) Dodge Focus 2 Fascinate (Bluff) Improved Initiative Luck 2 Powers: = 21PP Fatigue 7 [7pp] (Extras: Linked to Mimic, Flaws: Distracting)+ Mimic 7 (any one power Extras: Linked to Fatigue) [14pp] DC Block: ATTACK RANGE SAVE EFFECTUnarmed Touch DC 19 Toughness (Staged) Damage (Physical) Fatigue Touch DC 17 Fort (Staged) Fatigue Abilities (30) + Combat (26) + Saving Throws (6) + Skills (12) + Feats (10) + Powers (21) - Drawbacks (0) = 105/119 Power Points

Noted, has been saved to the copy sitting on my PC. I think I might change it to Distracting instead, showing that his powers are so addicting that when he gets his fix he loses focus for a little bit as the rush hits. Yes, the Fascinate lacking a notation for Bluff was a typo. As per the change in skills on the comp's copy, I've fixed that as well.

Wisp stepped up next to Crow, checking her hands to be sure none of the blue and black energy she projected was 'leaking', for lack of a better term. Offering her hand to Silversmith and Almsman she gave a friendly smile, "Yeah. We normally deal with the crazy types around Freedom City. My name's Wisp by the way." After shaking hands with the locals she turned her attention to Cannonade, "How's it going? Haven't seen you since those radioactive-Nazi zombies." Wisp stole a glance at her boyfriend and could see the boy all but bouncing with barely contained excitement to be interacting with two of his home town's heroes. She could imagine she'd feel the same way talking with Aracno-Lad back in Chicago.
-
I'm with AA on this. Beating the kid up any further, it'd be like kicking somebody's puppy.
-
Wisp noticed how crowded things were getting around Hexbinder and rather than compound the issue she drew in a deep breath and relaxed her reign on her energy, pouring it out in a painful, if non-lethal rush towards the crazed spellcaster. The stream of blue-black energy caught her across the jaw and suddenly, her head slumped forward in unconsciousness. It was about here she noticed the flaw in her logic, her boyfriend remained airborne as long as she did. Oops, was all Wisp could think as she watched the mages begin to drop.

1d20+10=11 Um, no. Burning an HP for a reroll. 1d20+10=25 I do so hope that hits... If so, DC 27 toughness save from a cosmic energy blast.

Victoria closed the boxcutter and slipped it into a pocket of her jeans. "Hmm, my first thought leads me towards the various 'of the Dead' movies by George Romero. Or just the zombie sub-genre in general, the good ones are as much about tensions between the survivors as the fight against the zombies." After moving the decorations to where they'd be set up in a series of short teleports she landed next to Gwen, "I'll check with Mr. Summers and Cole later about setting up a movie screening."
